Went in for a title transfer that I was having a difficult time getting elsewhere. Finally got answers and a title with Dave.

I've been using Dave's Tag and Title for years for all of my families car transfers, purchases, tag returns, etc. He is extremely knowledgeable, well organized and efficient It is amazing what he can get done quickly and for a very reasonable fee. Called to confirm availability--given it's hard to access any services today without an appointment. I asked about availability and the person who answered the phone told me to wait, then I overheard: "People need to quit f*cking calling and get a job. They have nothing better to do but call all day, they need to get a damn job." Given how inconvenienced this employee was by a simple question, they must be overwhelmed with work. Clearly Dave's doesn't need your business. Plus, if you wanted to deal with rude employees, you should just go to the MVA. Do not waste your time - the guy is a jerk, he DOES NOT have tags on hand (every other tag and title shop does that I've ever dealt with) did I mention he's a jerk? I've been going to Dave's for years. Hes a pretty dry guy, but he knows his stuff. He will have you in and out within minutes and, depending on you particular situation, with tags in hand. you may as well go to the MVA and save urself the money and bullshit... got my temp tags from daves....title was suppose to be sent out and never got it...had to go to the mva to get it....cost me nothing. then went to return these tags to him and he charged me money to return tags i got from him!! makes no sense. told me to go to the MVA and drop them off... whats the point of a tag and title place if i have to go to the MVA to get what i need? Horrible experience! It's no wonder there hasn't been any other reviews written about this rat hole. My experience is based on his automotive services, which is located under the same roof as his Tag/Title. At first, he/Dave, comes off as a genuinely good guy, somber in tone...you want to believe him because you almost feel sorry for him, and want to give him some business....at least that's the trap I fell into. I had a vehicle towed to him Dec 5th, with the understanding that he would replace the engine. Two weeks later he claims to have purchased the engine, except he bought the wrong engine! Instead of returning and getting the proper engine that goes to the vehicle, he claims they will continue to work on it and it will just "take longer than expected." So I was patient enough. He told me it would be ready after Christmas. So I made a surprise visit on the 28th of December, and to my surprise my vehicle wasn't even at his shop. It was at some other rat hole and the mechanic there hadn't even started working on it yet. Needless to say, I had them toe it back to my house.... I would advice anyone who is looking to use this guy, to shop around for someone else. read more
