I had high hopes for this place. It's vibe was cool and quirky. The wait staff seemed nice enough. All of the sandwiches sounded delicious but that's it. These were the saddest bagels I have ever experienced in my entire life..... Where is the crust!? These "bagels" were like chewy brioche buns. We got a bagel sandwich and it was a greasy mushy mess. I have found my new favorite place! The bagels here are second to none. The atmosphere is incredible. The employees are friendly. I visited here for the first time and I couldn't be happier! I got a French toast bagel toasted with butter and brown sugar coffee with cream. The prices are super reasonable. I didn't feel rushed at all. This place is a lot bigger than it looks. There is so much character in this building. There is a lot of seating and each room has a different vibe. The artwork is beautiful There is also a patio with seating. I was unsure how I was going to feel about steamed bagels, but these were amazing!! I haven't had a REAL bagel in so long and I was pleasantly surprised. PARKING You could park in a nearby parking lot, like we did, and pay a slim fee for your time there or you could gamble to find street parking. II. SERVICE Fair. Seems like they serve everything in a to-go fashion ~ tinfoil wrapped. I can see this place having a lot of potential for unique dishware to fit the fun esthetic of the space. Seems like they're sometimes out of menu items and don't always account for high demand products ~ they were out of tomatoes when I asked. III. QUALITY Standard IV. The advertisements and the look of the storefront gave me hope for a good bagel. Upon entering, that hope quickly faded--but I still kept an open mind. Unfortunately, it didn't take long for that optimism to disappear completely after seeing plastic bagged bagels and a hipster atmosphere. I ordered an everything bagel with veggie spread, and despite being the only customer at the counter, it took an absurd amount of time to receive my order. When my name was finally called, I was handed a hot mess wrapped in tinfoil. First off, they never asked if I wanted it toasted--which I absolutely would not have. The only reason to toast a bagel is to cover up the fact that it's stale or just plain bad. I pointed out that I hadn't asked for it toasted, and that the veggie spread was basically liquid--something a guy with a beard simply can't eat without utensils. I asked for silverware and was met with confused stares and rude attitudes. I told them I couldn't eat it like that and asked them to remake the order properly. A few minutes later, I was called to the counter again. I took my bagel and sat down, only to discover two things. First, the bagel was absolutely rancid--dense, doughy, and mealy, with an awful taste. That explains why they toasted the first one without asking. Second, it didn't even have the veggie spread I ordered--it was plain sour-tasting cream cheese. Whoever owns this shop should be mortified that a plain cream cheese bagel from a Love's gas station is far more appetizing than the garbage I was served here. I tried to get one of the employees' attention to ask for a refund, but none of them were paying attention to the counter. I finally shouted into the kitchen that the food was disgusting, tossed the bagel onto the counter, and walked out. I didn't bother waiting for a refund--I simply didn't have the patience to deal with rude staff who acted like they were above everyone. I'll be contacting my credit card company to dispute the charge. Between the staff's holier-than-thou attitude and a bagel that made gas station food seem like something from a Michelin-starred restaurant, I'll never return. If you have working taste buds or even the slightest intolerance for terrible service, avoid this so-called "bagel" shop. read more

Costco bagels. We were excited to try the only bagel place we could find in town. We ordered 6 bagels and watched the girl take them from bags, which we felt was weird. We brought them home, only to realize they are Costco bagels. $20 for 6 bagels and a coffee. They can turn your Costco bagel into a fancy sandwich. This is a go to spot whenever I'm in Fort Wayne to visit my sister. The bagel sandwiches are solid. I love that they use beef bacon. The steamed bagels are also unique but work really well. This place definitely welcomes the artsy community. They have several pieces of local artist hanging from the wall that appear to be able to purchase. Very low key and eclectic vibes in this places. The service is a little slow and kinda hit or miss on the friendliness, but as long as they keep putting out good product, I won't complain. read more

After multiple visits to Davey's, I have had only stellar experiences. Fun atmosphere, friendly and engaged staff, delicious fare. That's every piece of the puzzle right there folks. If there's a gripe to be had it's the parking, but not much to be done for that. Sort of the trade off to being located in a historic building in this part of town. However, although it's a NBD short walk for me, anyone with limited mobility might find it problematic. If you're in such a situation, you can sometimes secure curbside parking on the street out front. In the end, for me, the delicious and inspired food options, excellent coffee, clean interesting atmosphere & friendly service more than compensate for any other issues. read more

Food was salty, not enough protein for the amount of bagel given, egg was nothing special, lox was frozen, sauces were eh, didn't honor my online customization option for a sausage patty on the Roast Beef. Basically just your regular overrated downtown-ish American fare. Honestly didn't put me in a mood to review further, but it's not too bad. The beef bacon was really good, though. I've been meaning to stop in here for some time, and I finally managed to get an opportunity today. It has a cool design and coffee shop feel with several very kitchy rooms to hang out in, I saw some of the reviews complaining about service, but it was great service for me, and the bagel was quite tasty (I had the black forest, ham, egg, and cheese on asiago.) they do seem to be store-bought bagels, which is a little bit of a disappointment given the price point, but I'm not mad at it. read more

I would describe my experience as underwhelming. I ordered the "07", and the cashier told me they were out of avocado. No problem, that happens..... but she was robotic and flat in her response and she charged me for it anyway! I also asked about the soup of the day. There was no soup (again no problem) but her robotic and flat speech was so confusing. No smile or social engagement at all. The sandwich itself was 'bleh'. My friends and I made an online order. I got two bagels, one for me and my husband. My friend had five bagels. So much was strange. Here we go. - the employees did not start our online order until we got there. We ordered it 10-15 minutes before we got to the building. We ordered to be able to pick up quickly. We had to waited 20 minutes after putting in our order 10-15 minutes before. The line was almost out the door and almost everyone in that line got their food BEFORE us. I am shook. - the people working were very kind and were dancing. It was super sweet. However, they all were SO SLOW. I have never seen a bagel assembled so slowly. We love a good vibe and when it's busy you need that quick pace flow. As a former bartender and barista, you gotta know when to be chill and when to get going. - my friend had to ask for a refund for the Asiago bagels because they said they were out. They refunded her $2 for the four bagels that were supposed to be Asiago. The employee gave us grief about it though. They said they weren't going to refund my friend because they were giving her everything bagels. My friend said online only Asiago was an up charge. The employee went to talk to her manage and then gave us the refund. However, there were three bags of Asiago bagels behind them (see picture attached). They were giving them to people who were coming in and ordering. The bagels though are INCREDIBLE and the environment is so fun. They just need to get their service in a better flow. read more

They steam their bagels so the flavors meld together and your mouth doesn't hurt from chewing a crunchy bagel. So many menu options! Vegetarian and pescatarian friendly options! The staff. Had a bad experience here. I recently placed an online order for a plain bagel with two different cream cheeses. I paid for it on the online ordering app and all of a sudden I get a text from the owner saying I needed to pay an extra $2 because I "didn't click the right button" to add 2 different flavors of cream cheese. When I went to pick up the bagel, I asked the gal at the register why I had to pay because I was genuinely confused and she didn't know either and had the owner explain again why I had to pay this. Food wasn't great, management obviously isn't great, wouldn't recommend. Worth the $2 for us to never return! :) read more

Being from the east coast I am a HUGE Bagel / Sandwich Shop guy. This spot was really neat and showcased some local art. I had two separate bagels, one was a toasted sesame with some Jalapeño cream cheese which was absolutely delicious. The other was a craft bagel sandwich thats seemed absolutely loaded.
