This is the restaurant on the MAIN level, NOT the speak-easy in the basement. We were there at 5:30 on a week night. We were seated in a very awkward corner table for two where the tables were really close together. Since it was our Valentine's celebration, I would have been uncomfortable with the tables next to us having people at them because it didn't give you any privacy or space for private conversation. We did not get drinks or appetizers. Our meals were very good (salmon and chicken). The server was good but didn't refill my water and that' a big deal to me. Spoke + Ivy (west Main Street, FW) - another locally unique dinning experience that deserves a try Spoke + Ivy is located on west Main Street - across the parking lot from Redwood Inn restaurant, if that helps. This restaurant is set in an old building that used to house a pharmacy. It retains the character of the building via the hardwood interiors, tall ceilings, large window views of the street and concrete/industrial ceilings. The interior is nicely decorated with inviting green, brown wood and black accent colors. Table settings were very attractive as well. You can park in the small side lot or on the street. Reservations are easily made on line. The team is very friendly and welcoming. All set the stage for a fun and relaxing dinner experience. Spoke + Ivy has a very small food and specialty cocktail menu. This is the second time we have been here. Each time we found the food to be delicious and the cocktails are uniquely designed. Here is a run down on the food items we ordered: -Focaccia Bread: a mildly sweet, dense/firm bread, slightly airy with a touch of herbs to accent. It is cut into blocks so it is easier to share. The vodka sauce is thin in consistency with a smooth Italian seasoned tomato appeal. Both make for a deliciously simple starter. -Lobster Roll Rangoon: decided to give this a try. It comes out as one large Rangoon - not individual pieces. This means that you must awkwardly cut this shareable into pieces. The slightly crispy & oily wrapper is similar to most crab Rangoon pieces. It has a nice crisp. The inside has shredded pieces of lobster. It was not filled with creme cheese sauce like traditional rangoons - just plain. The green lemon parsley sauce was simply outstanding! It's very fresh, moderately thick and has a slightly tart taste. This added "the sauce" to what the inside of the Rangoon was lacking. -Milanese: nicely breaded chicken that was very moist. The breading is slightly sweet. The fresh bed of arugula salad is a nice add -Prime Rib Pho: this sounded really interesting. It's a smaller/healthier dish. The medium rare prime rib was sliced thin and tender. There wasn't many pieces of prime rib in this dish. The add-ins were fresh and much like you would expect from a Pho dish - just not as much volume. The broth has a chili oil base that gives it a spicier flavor. Overall we really enjoy this relaxed atmosphere and character of the building. The delicious food and cocktails are excellent. read more

Took some friends who had never been and they too loved Spoke and Ivy! Walking in, you are warmly greeted and welcomed. Atmosphere is very Chicago-esque in that it is bold, clean, modern, industrial with a touch of glamour. Menu is not huge but is uniquely varied and well presented. Food is very fresh and delicious. A great venue for an evening out with friends or loved ones. Appetizers at our table this evening were the Lobster Roll Rangoon and the chopped. stuffed mushrooms in a roasted tomato creme. Sorry, forgot pics of those 2 yummy dishes. Entrees included the Rigatoni alla Verde (pictured), the Milanese (pictured), and the wood Farms beef Luxe Burger (also pictured). All were prepared with care and attention to detail., Very fresh. Very very good! Shared their carrot cake w/cherries...oh my! I eat steak maybe two or three times a year. Not for any reason -- it just ends up working out that way. So, I try to make sure my steak-eating experiences will be ones where I'm guaranteed to enjoy delicious pieces o' meat. I ordered the steak at Spoke and Ivy -- they have an 8-ounce filet mignon that was calling to me from among the mostly Italian-forward entrees on the menu. Filet mignon was a great decision! The filet had a chipotle and coffee rub on it and was finished with an espresso demi-glacé. It came with sautéed mushrooms, Brussels sprouts, chimichurri and a crispy potato. The steak barely required any cutting -- it melted with the slightest effort from the knife. It was "mostly pink in the middle," which is what my server said it would be, and that was perfect. But I want to talk about the crispy potato. It was unlike any kind of potato I have ever had. It was rectangular and layered -- think about a deck of cards. Now think about if that deck of cards turned into a potato. It was crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside. I ate it by peeling off each layer, one at time, which was super satisfying. I was so enchanted by this potato dish that I asked the server how it was made. She let me know that it was mashed potatoes that were spread on a sheet pan, then baked, cut into pieces, layered on top of each other, and then deep fried. Holy crap! Who even thinks to make something like this? Good job, whoever you are at Spoke and Ivy, who created this potato dish. This restaurant is relatively new -- it opened in February 2025. Everything about it is still sparkling. The decor is beautiful: lots of natural light coming in the big windows, moss-green accents, vintage gold mirrors on the walls. It's all very classy and adult and sexy. Apparently, there's a speakeasy downstairs called Black Rabbit. I didn't get a chance to visit it, but I'll definitely be back to get a drink. read more

Yesterday, my fiancé & I stopped in Spoke + Ivy for brunch to celebrate our anniversary. We were quickly seated & our server, Tina, took our drink orders. Each cocktail we had was both boozy & fruity, very good! Our carrot (puree) potato latke appetizer tasted so good, especially with the chopped onions on it. I don't even like carrots, but that puree was spot on! The ambiance of the restaurant is very open & warm, with lots of windows. Thankfully, it was an overcast day, otherwise my eyes might have hurt! The wait staff will fill your water without you asking, which was great because my fiancé was very thirsty. Tina stood & chatted with us for a bit a couple of times. She was very cheery & friendly. Our entrees were brought in a timely fashion. My side biscuit n' gravy was huge. I had not expected so much food in one serving. The sausage gravy, though flour-heavy, tasted good. The biscuit was dense & had a crunch on the outside. I liked it. My actual brunch entree, the lemon curd crepe, was really nice. The lemon curd inside the crepe had a mild flavor, but the strawberry & lemon sauces were punchy & tasty. The berries on top added to the lightness & brightness of the dish. My fiancé's veggie lasagna was a tad overcooked, but it was very tasty. He happily ate it without further complaint & was full when finished. Though we were far too full to order a homemade donut for dessert, & we had some leftovers, we couldn't have had a better experience at Spoke + Ivy! We will be back! read more

Aesthetic is the word to describe Spoke & Ivy. It's gorgeous! Clearly a lot of money and attention went in to curating this space. That said, food was mid and service was poor. I got 3 shrimp on grits and vodka sauce for $23. It was alright. My spouse got the crepe, which was delicious. Lemon curd and thyme creme were good. Our server took 20 minutes to bring two lattes. It was so loud and she was so soft-spoken that it was difficult to hear her. Meh. read more

Another local establishment that I hope is successful for ever growing restaurant scene. It was Mother's Day and my wife wanted to try out their brunch. 10:15am on a Sunday and we were seated promptly. I liked the layout and decor, keeping the "older building" vibe. The only "knock" I had wears the noise level with the high ceilings and openness and the restrooms are small/ 1-seaters. The coffee was good. The cinnamon rolls were decadent, but slightly undercooked in the center. The strawberry ricotta coffee cake was a winner! The biscuits and gravy with egg was good, but could have used a little more gravy based on the size of the biscuits. The shrimp and grits were spot on as was the steak and eggs selection. The place was packed and it looked like service was keeping up and all the guests were enjoying the morning. Some of the dinner options and cocktails looked delectable and I can't wait to head back for an evening experience. read more

We had the Milanese and the Tagliatelle. The Milanese was so good, I almost licked the plate clean, crispy juicy chicken and the pesto with the goat cheese was a good balance. My friend said the Tagliatelle had "a lot of flavors going on" she almost ate it all which was a good thing. We also had (not pictured) shrimp and grits and the walleye which were also good. The cucumbers were yummy but v spicy, dipped in the goat cheese was a good move. If I went back I'd get the Milanese again though. The design is very elegant and welcoming- however, when the place got full around 8pm it was really hard to hear each other because of how loud it got with the open space concept. This is such a great addition to Fort Wayne's restaurant scene! Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. I had the salmon , which was spectacularly prepared on a bed of buttery orzo! My husband loved the scallop entree, but for a $42 price tag it was extremely skimpy. Our biggest consideration for coming back is the noise level. We couldn't even converse easily with others at our table. Despite the creative and tasty menu, that's a huge drawback. read more

The pasta was good but needed some slices of spicy sausage or something similar. Visiting town and my uncle recommended we come here and all of us were glad we did! Fantastic food and our server Mle (pronounced Emily) was just about as good a server as you could have. We tried all 3 salads..very good. The tomato soup was absolutely fantastic! She even suggested to get the milanese panini and dip it in the tomato soup..which i did. TKS MLE! it was tasty. We took a strawberry lemon ricotta cake to go..wow!!! So flavorful! Wish we coulda had cocktails. Bar was beautiful. read more

A very pretty restaurant on Main St. They have a parking lot but there are also street spots. We sat by window and I sat on bench. Other side of table were cute green upholstered chairs. Menu is simple- one page- love it! :) We shared a potato latke to start. Delish. Wish there'd been 2 for the price though. ($7.50). And we got the Crepe ($14) and Milanese ($24) and shared. Both great. Would recommend. Server took a while to get back to us to take our order. Noticed people who had been sitting a while just getting their food (oh no!) Yes food was a wait and I was getting anxious/hangry (low blood sugar) but food came before too long. Don't go here starving. Have a light snack at home before going lol. When the hot soup was brought out Kristin added a dessert for our inconvenience. This is how you recover a fumble! This restaurant has it all! Delicious food, yummy cocktails and great wine list. And the service was impeccable. (thanks Alayna!) we went there for brunch and we shared the tuna carpaccio as our appetizer. My son got the berry crepes with a generous side of bacon, my husband had the shrimp & grits and I had the Milanese (fried chicken cutlets served with Goat cheese smear, pesto on top of arugula) we were all pleased with our dishes. My husband and I had brunch last weekend for our anniversary. Maybe it's silly, but since I noted that it was our anniversary on our reservation, I thought somebody might mention it, but no one did. It would have made it a little more special. It was lovely in there, and our server was nice, but could have been a little more personable. We tried a few different things- the shrimp and grits was tasty, but not really large enough for an entree. I got a tuna dish that was on special, that ended up being even smaller, and then we shared a strawberry ricotta coffee cake. Nothing came out at the same time, which was weird. I pretty much finished my dish before my husband's came out. It was all good, but we left underwhelmed. Glad we tried somewhere new, but sadly probably won't be back. read more

I was there with a group of ladies on September 16. The decor is very nice and the service was excellent. I had the deluxe burger which was cooked exactly as I wished and it was very good. The only complaint I might have is that the menu price for this meal was $21 while I was billed $23. This also was the case on a friend's check for the same items. Inasmuch as I was with a group and I was already spending that plus a glass of wine, I was not comfortable questioning the $2 difference. However, I feel perhaps the management might wish to check to be sure that menu prices and billing program prices match. read more

Upon entering, you are immediately aware that lighting and decor were a priority as everyone looks great in photos. Service is exceptional and timing of food was as one would desire. The potato latke was a favorite with the grilled onions adding flavor and the crunch from the celery. The Milanese chicken was crisp on the outside and moist in the inside. Crunch and flavor worked with the included salad. Cinnamon roll is perfect if you like less soft rolls. The icing was a bit much. We agreed to order it with icing on side if we order again. Paprika potatoes had a nice aioli, but we all agreed we would not order again as there were so many other things that wowed. Shrimp & Grits have perfectly charred shrimp. We ordered with the vodka sauce on the side and 1/3 of the pesto the second time around as it is very powerful. Love the dish. The ratatouille lasagna with a side salad was a fav. Veggies with creamy béchamel sauce. Crepe was yummy, but we agreed it was more of a dessert or brunch item that main entree. If you like chai, the chai tiramisu is for you. The Spoke cake is dense and flavorful. The Affogato ice cream was my favorite. Espresso over ice cream! We toured the Speakeasy downstairs. Seats 45, no reservations needed, separate bar menu and open Friday and Saturday 6-12 PM. Definitely a revisit. read more
