I stopped by the Blueberry Pancake House today after being interested in coming for awhile. I love waffles and knew they served them, so today was the day! I was immediately seated and served a drink. My server, a very nice blonde lady, arrived quickly to take my order and bring my food. I was so excited about my waffle with whipped cream and strawberries & the strawberries were phenomenal! Sweet, ripe, and firm... I was very impressed. The waffle tasted so good with a little butter and sugar-free syrup. On a Monday around 12:45 PM, the place was quiet, thankfully. Prices were very reasonable. Since it was my first visit I did not ask for my hash browns to be extra crispy to see what they would be like. No crispy whatsoever and warm (not hot). Eggs were delicious and rye bread was nicely toasted. read more

Every time we stop in this establishment we have a hard time getting our name on the waitlist. The cashier cashes out the tables and takes new customers names but cannot seem to manage the wait. I've worked in food service for a very long time and my suggestion would be to have a host from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Sunday's or to have the server bring the payment up to alleviate the traffic. read more

I had the pleasure of having a take out breakfast from here today. I'll get straight to it - it was amazing. From start to finish, simply amazing. The food was tasty, well presented, and ample. My companion and I shared the meal, easily. We ordered blueberry pancakes, meat lover's omelette, and hash-browns. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Take out service is quick and efficient. The take out counter is right at the door, my meal was waiting for my upon arrival. I didn't have much interaction with the staff, but what I did have was cordial and polite. Do not plan to return. Service was slow and never checked in or refilled drinks, just brought food and bill. Was suppose to be "all you can eat" fish but never offered nor did waitress come back to our table unless to bring bill at the end. I didn't want to write this as I know bad reviews can impact people's jobs/ livelihood, but I am actually very upset about the situation. I searched for a place to eat breakfast with my 1yr old and came across this place. I couldn't find their menu online or even their facebook page so I called in. After being told they don't know where I can find their menu online, I awkwardly order what I think they would have over the phone with the older women. I picked up the to go order, spent a bit over $18 and took it home to eat with my small child. There was a huge hair in my veggie omelette along with cheese that I asked to leave off. Not to mention I don't eat pork and my french toast tasted like bacon grease. I put my child back in the car and drove back to notify them of my concerns. The older woman at the register stated she will have the order remade. It was remade "correctly" this time but they didn't remake the toast I gave back which I mentioned she sighed and told me it will be another wait. I said that's fine and we waited. She apologized for the hair and I said it's ok have a good day. My child was fussy at this point we got our stuff and went back home. I begin to cut into my omelette (thank god I didn't just start eating it) and there was a fat piece of bacon in it. I called the store just to be told the line was busy for a half an hour. Finally reached the lady again told her what happened and she said she will issue a refund to me. I couldn't get back in for my refund until the following day since I had to work. I go back in with my child waiting to get a refund and they hand me a $10 gift certificate to eat at their diner. I just said I will give it to someone else and went about my day. We stood at the lobby counter for 15 minutes, waiting for someone to acknowledge us. The lady at the register didn't look up or pay any attention to us. She never looked up from her computer screen once. There were two other gentlemen waiting to be seated too. The waitress saw us standing there and walked by all of us and said nothing. The employee who was playing around with her computer screen at the register should be fired. We all walked out. They lost 4 hungry customers today. We will never, ever return to this restaurant. We thought we'd try this place for breakfast. We were in town for a concert and spent the night. Wow we're glad we stopped in. The service was prompt and courteous. Menu was huge with everything you ever could want for breakfast. I ordered the Popeye skillet which had a base of crispy fried potatoes covered with bacon, spinach and tomatoes and smothered in cheese. Topped with three eggs! This meal come with a side of light and fluffy pancakes which were delicious! My husband had a delicious omelet--there are so many to choose from--which came with a choice of grits, fried potatoes or fruit. Plus a side of pancakes or toast. We both had coffee and out total was $20. Portions are huge so next time we just might split a meal. We have enough leftovers for tomorrow. And they have a big menu for lunch too. I love hitting Breakfast joints in and around the Fort Wayne area... who am I kidding? I love going on Breakfast Runs everywhere! There's nothing like waking up and going out for breakfast! On advice from a friend, I had to check out the Blueberry Pancake House II in Georgetown Square. Plus with a name like "Blueberry Pancake"... (I Love Blueberries). I knew what I was going to have. The Blueberry Pancake combo. ($7.59). 2 large Blueberry pancakes, 2 Eggs, and 2 Sausage Patties. Delicious, and cooked perfectly! My friend had the Chicken Fried Steak, with a half order of Biscuits &Gravy. I had a taste of the Chicken Fried Steak (which was Good) The half order of Biscuits & Gravy was 3 Biscuits smothered in Gravy. Biscuits were decent, but, to me, the Gravy was pretty bland. In my never ending quest for the perfect Biscuits & Gravy, the best I've found so far, around Fort Wayne, has to be at Nine Mile. The problem I have is that the Gravy at every place I've tried seems to be without much flavor. The Quest continues. As for the Blueberry Pancake House II, it seemed to be very clean, nice size, and they had a very good staff. Very attentive, which is something that has been lacking over the past few years. If you're a breakfast fan... might I suggest making a stop at the Blueberry Pancake House II. I can guarantee I will return. Maybe next time I'll bring my phone and take pics. read more

I went he with my father we arrived with two groups coming in after us. An older lady asked the crasher who was next to be seated. That was checking people out. The older lady then proceeded to seat the groups that can in behind us. Then left leaving the cashier to seat us. This was the worst customer I have had there and was completely uncalled for. I had been in this restaurant about a year ago and the service was horrible. The food was just ok. Decided to try it again today. Same experience. The food was passable, nothing great, but the staff was rude (my service was nice but the rest if the staff were awful). Brought my issue to their attention but they argued and doubled down. Won't step foot in there again. They said they didn't really care, so don't expect their attitude towards customers to change. 6 adults on Sunday morning at 11 and our wait was a reasonable 15 minutes. Great, polite service, given the place was BUSY...but efficient! Yes, we had a bit of a wait for our server, but a very polite runner got us water, coffee and menus. Out server was handling multiple tables, but the wait was OK as the menu was large with many delicious and tempting breakfast selections so we had time to chat and decide what to order. There is everything from basic eggs, hash browns (magnificent), sausage, bacon, ham and toast to fluffy spot-on pancakes with delightful toppings, skillets, omelets and fritatas. We have been here twice. The first time was shortly after they opened and the waitress could not tell me what was in the dishes. We did not have great service but the food was okay. What a wonderful experience! We had a large party of 14 on Sunday morning and made a last minute reservation. They were able to seat us and Frankie our server was so efficient.We all got exactly what we ordered, all at the same time and it was hot! First time there. It was very clean. Food was good, Sunday morning breakfast. Their short comings was the service. Waitress was terrible, she had bus boy filling drinks, impossible to keep a hot cup of coffee. She wasn't over worked with tables, just a very poor experience.
