Steve SR called me back within 10 minutes and answered all of my questions about the Jeep. He let me know we could come and look at it and test drive but we could not take it until the part needing replaced was installed a few days later. We test drove the day after calling and loved it. We returned once the new part had been installed and purchased it. We did end up having some electrical issues with the Jeep. Steve JR told us to bring it back and they would take care of it. There was another trip back for the same intermittent problem a week later. They went above and beyond to remedy all issues. Also the original ad did say there was a backseat bench. But after looking at the Jeep, there was no backseat. They are outsourcing one for us for the issues. I'm sure it will be arriving soon :-) We would highly recommend purchasing a Jeep with these guys! They have excellent communication and beautiful Jeeps.

They were easy to work with, honest, and they care about there vehicles. They went above and beyond giving us an hour of training on how to use the sway bar disconnect and the locking differentials. Our tank was filled up and we were on the road! We took it out on the trails already and it was better than we even imagined.

We scheduled it with our mechanic for later in the week, and on day three, the fuel line blew while my husband was driving it- spewing diesel fuel all over the truck and highway! He drove it straight to our mechanic, who said it was a hazard to even have on his lot- and recommended NOT going through with the purchase. Not only did they try and talk our mechanic into fixing it so they could "force us" to keep it (after we called and said there's no way we would buy it in this condition), but he kept our downpayment to pay for the piece of junk to be towed back to the dealership! When we called them about them giving us our money back, based on our agreement, the owner said he would refund only the difference it took to fix and tow, since they had to pick it up just south of Salem. THIS WAS NOT THE ARRANGEMENT WE MADE! We are now out over $1,000 from this whole ordeal. Oh... and almost 3 months later, still waiting for our "difference" check! These people are completely dishonest, and lack any kind of integrity, responsibility to the consumer, or good business practice. STEER CLEAR!

Every time he assured me the car was in excellent mechanical condition and needed nothing. Unfortunately I trusted him. I got it home and took it to Honda to have the power seat fixed three days after buying it. There they found that the power steering rack had a leak ($1518) and the timing belt was original and the oil pump was leaking oil all over the timing belt ($1656). Plus lots of other little things for a grand total of 3890.95 (minus 20% for my student discount thankfully) Black transmission fluid. Original spark plugs. Called the state today to see the status of my title a month later and they haven't even received it yet!!! Now I can't even drive the car I got ripped off for. Do not under any circumstances by a car from this guy! The one I bought appeared very clean and presented well and I trusted Chris and his "mechanics." On the plus side what he did was illegal and I've talked to several lawyers and have signed affidavits from our local Honda dealer stating these problems are ones he should have been aware of according to Oregon state law. I also have his emails assuring me everything was in great working order as inspected by his mechanics.

McLoughlin Chevrolet - My 2025 EquinoxEV!

I really want to make sure, a month after purchase, that I commend McLoughlin for working with me…read more I live in Los Angeles, California but work in Portland seasonally and had a beloved 2020 Chevy Bolt that met an unfortunate end here. The first time I came to McLoughlin I wasn't even certain if I would need to purchase a vehicle because I was still waiting on a final decision from the insurance company. I came on site with my girlfriend on a Saturday night. I was greeted by Alicia. I explained the situation to her. Some salespeople, seeing it was going to be a no-go for the night as far as selling, might have just answered a couple of questions and let me browse when I said "I'm not buying tonight because (then tuned out the rest)" or hard-sold trying to close a deal before I would have been in a position to say "yes." Not Alicia. She took the time to listen to my story, to what I would be looking for in a vehicle, and even took the time to test drive not one but two vehicles with me, the ones I initially expressed interest in, and the Equinox EV I eventually bought. I have dealt with the car purchasing process a few times and have always sworn by Reynolds GMC in West Covina, CA as my go to because their sales people have always treated my family well. McLoughlin is the only dealership I have ever had a similar experience at, and I felt as comfortable there as I do at my home dealership. Alicia made sure to stay in touch with me as I went through the claims process and also updated me on inventory. Her strength is that her approach is to inform, not sell, at least with me. So there was no question, when my settlement came in and I was ready to buy, who I was buying from. David in finance who also handles things like licensing and permitting has also been great. Because I am a California resident it meant I had to pay California sales tax based on my residence county, a fact I knew beforehand. David was able to get answers for me and handle the entire process flawlessly while also giving me me a lot of information about the financing process, my loan, and how I might be able to get additional incentives and rebates to help pay for my EV. He has also made sure that my vehicle is both registered in California and legally temporarily permitted in Oregon until I go home since it was going to be about a month before I went home. I wanted to make sure I wrote this because just today I had a question about extending my temporary permit since I have not received my California documentation yet and he took the time to respond on his day off. Above and beyond. The folks at McLoughlin took my out of state accident disaster and turned it into an incredibly enjoyable car buying experience. I appreciate the attentiveness and professionalism I have experienced. I hope I never have to buy a vehicle in this sort of circumstance ever again, but if I do, I hope it's in Oregon because I know McLoughlin Chevy, especially Alicia and Dave, will take care of me.

He made me feel rushed throughout the entire conversation. When I paused for a moment to think before answering, he hung up on me, which felt rude and extremely unprofessional. I tried calling back again, they heard my voice and hung up. Thinking it might have been my Wi-Fi, I called a third time, and when Elliott Dawson picked up, he said that if I was interested in a car, I could come in person to look at it instead of answering my questions over the phone. He also didn't want to tell me about their new car options and kept insisting that I needed to come in person to look. The whole interaction felt rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Thankfully, I later visited the Chevrolet dealership at 122 NE 122nd Ave in Portland, OR, where Anton Turenko completely turned the experience around. He was kind, patient, and very helpful. Everyone there was welcoming and professional as well. He met all my needs, helped me register my new Chevrolet Trax the same day, and got me an amazing price and discount. Thanks to his excellent customer service, I was able to drive home in my new car that same day.

The guy who helped us, Clint was a pretty OK salesman. He spoke a little too much about "Obama's old America" and politics, but I was able to tune it out. The car was in really good shape, but they said that a piece of the muffler was damaged. My fiancé also noticed a missing cap on the tire. 2007 4Runner, 77k miles. Owned in New York. (Yes, salt damage underneath is imminent, we know) He was in love with it but I suggested he think on it. He decided not to.. The entire time Clint was not pushy. He was eager to make the sale, but not in an aggressive way at all. The owner (a foreign gentleman) of the shop on the other hand... wow. He was a little odd. At one point, another salesman was helping a customer and the owner had to step in to assist, the salesman went to speak and the owner goes "I'm handling this? Aren't I? Get the fuck of here." He then looked at the customer and said "These guys.. I own this shop!" I was a little taken aback. My fiancé was approved but the down payment was HIGH. They said it was due to his credit (his credit was fine). He paid $1200 down. I found this odd and pushed back, but they said there was nothing they could do. Now here's where it got hairy.. We were there on a Sunday, I knew that meant they were basically pre-approving him. I was really scared they would call Monday and the deal would get all sorts of screwed... I've bought cars before but this was my fiances first experience so I wanted to make sure they didn't prey on that. I made sure they knew I was educated, firm and sensible. I honestly think my attitude helped so much with how they treated us. I also made sure that the owner wrote up a document stating they would fix the muffler and replace the wheel cap and if they couldn't they would pay $45. Monday comes, my fiancé gets a call that he needs to come sign more papers. Nothing more, nothing less. But I was worried, so I went with. Yeah, they told him he actually wasn't approved for $1200 down. He'd either need to pay another $1200, or lose the car. I was FURIOUS. Why hadn't they said that on the phone!? Why did they make it seem like we were a-ok on Sunday? Oh I raised hell. The owner agreed to a payment plan for the additional $1200, which he honored. 5 months later, the car is great. They never did reach out about the muffler or cap, but my fiancé got them fixed on his own. I waited to write this review to see if the car full on took a crap, they tried to pull anything else... etc. But so far we are very happy with the car. I honestly think we just got lucky though. I would be wary of this place.

Peter was more than happy to accommodate. He let us test drive a couple different models including a Bolt. It really opened our eyes to these vehicles. He talked with us after the test drives and was happy to answer questions, give advice and info on all types of EV's (this was after close mind you). We weren't quite ready to purchase a car yet so we left. Peter's non-pushy attitude and kindness stuck with us. About two months later we decided to pull the trigger. I couldn't think of any other place to look for an EV. We had a list of options we wanted and Peter accommodated us and pulled a bunch of cars from their list. We test drove a couple AWD Nissan Aryia Engage+ e-4orce and really liked them. We went ahead and purchased one. It was a lease return with 15k miles. The EV was in great condition and the price was right. They were generous with our trade in and all the paperwork was very swift. I think we were out of there in under 2 hours.
