One of the worst experiences I've ever had in my life. I left feeling upset, dehumanized and swindled. My first visit which is usually a basic "meet the doctor visit" ended up costing me $80 (with insurance!) for all the unnecessary things they felt compelled to do. When David finally entered the room - he never made eye contact with me or asked me how I was doing. He then proceeded to talk with out pause and tell me what I should be putting inside MY body. I've been going to Dr Ahdoot for over two years. I started going to him after a friend of mine highly recommended him. I had been seeing another OB/GYN and it really wasn't working out and it turns out she had been giving me some really poor advice about my pregnancies. By the time I got in to see Dr Ahdoot I had two miscarriages one of which was a possible ectopic which he then told me was misdiagnosed. Right off the bat I felt completely comfortable with him he has such a sweet bedside manner and he is very thorough and gentle with all of his diagnosis's. Flash forward to June 2020 when I got pregnant and had our little miracle rainbow baby. He always said we would have a baby and he was right. I was referred to Dr. Ahdoot by a trusted friend. I was kept waiting for over an hour, without explanation, when I was finally taken into the exam room, I waited another half an hour. The doctor came in for literally 10 minutes, scribbled out a prescription, did a quick, half ass pap and left. I felt like I was at a drive through! I watched and he was literally popping in and out of exam rooms just to get rid of patients and bring in new ones, assembly line style. I never received a follow up call, test results, nothing! I did however receive an invoice for an amount insurance didn't cover. They had not submitted my visit as a regular check up and were in return balance billing me! Talk about adding insult to injury ! A definite NEVER return, don't waste your time! read more

Dr Ahdoot is very nice, his office is neat and he has quite impressive equipment. Yet his staff appears to be completely incompetent and that's why I would never go there again or recommend him to others. It all started when after reading all glowing reviews on Yelp, I gave them a call to schedule an appointment. I asked them "are you in PPO network?" and they said "Yes", so I went ahead and scheduled my annual visit. When I showed up and presented my insurance card, they supposedly looked at my coverage and asked for $25 copay, which was quite curious because my plan does not have copay (there is high deductive, but the annual check-ups are 100% covered). I had to explain that to two people before they looked at my insurance and confirmed that. The check-up went fine, but instead of giving me 1-year standard prescription, the doctor gave me only 6-months. After calling the pharmacy and then calling the doctor and then calling pharmacy again a few times my prescription was renewed. I could really do without wasting my time on these calls. Then a few months later I received a bill from a lab for my check-up. After calling the lab I found out that the doctor's office did not specify that my test was for preventive purposes (the annual check-up one) and not treatment. There were many-many calls with the insurance company, the lab, and the doctor, and at the end the charge was never reversed. And unfortunately before the ordeal with the prescription and the lab bill, I went to Dr Ahdoot for a follow-up, and now I have $650 worth of bills to deal with. Remember the part where I mentioned that they told me they are in PPO network - A LIE! They will accept reimbursement from PPO if there is one, but if there isn't - it is all out of your pocket and does not count towards the in-network or even our-of-network deductible. read more

He gets a zero star! Dr. Ahdoot is only there for the $$$. Doesn't care much about the Patients. I went to his office for a year with not much of a result. and they scared me with their calls couple time, and if there were any test done, they would never call to give the results. I had to call and see how everything was. Last time I had a pap smear test appointment. After waiting the the cold exam room for 20 minutes, the INTERN came in and did all the procedures. After everything was done, Dr. Ahdoot came in and tapped on my shoulder and said everything is okay and left the room without giving me the time to ask any questions. I came out upset, paid the visit, I didn't have insurance at the time, and left. I called back the next day to let them know how upset I was but that didn't do anything. I have two forms of insurance and tried to go through kaiser at first thinking they would be the best since I have been with them so long. I ended up going with my husbands insurance during our pregnancy just to give it a shot. I think this was the best decision of my life. He is always so caring, genuinely concerned, and knowledgable. I honestly don't have a single complaint about him. Every time I had a question or worry either Dr Adhoot or his office staff were always there for me and they never seemed to busy for me. I would recommend his services to anyone and feel that if you are fortunate enough to get him as a doctor then you should be thanking god. Our daughter was born healthy and happy at 9lb 3oz. Even though I had a cesarian I was literally up and walking around the mall 4 days later and I know this was because of his skills as a surgeon. I thought I would amend my review for Dr. Ahdoot since I had my baby and went through the 'postpartum' phase. I was a high risk pregnancy in my last trimester. I was in the hospital twice before I finally had my daughter and when I was discharged, Dr. Ahdoot called me every weekend to see how I was doing. When I was 38 weeks pregnant, he was not comfortable with me going on with the pregnancy due to my situation. He wanted to do a c-section but respected my wish to try and do it naturally. After 20 hours the induction did not work so I had to have a c-section. The surgery went wonderfully. I hardly have a scar after 10 weeks. I did have some complications recovering from the surgery (nothing to do with the surgery itself) that required me to see Dr. Ahdoot multiple times a week. My incision from the c-section had to be packed a 2-3 times a day and he offered to do it every day (even on Saturday's). Fortunately, for him, my husband was able to do it. (Once I brought my newborn daughter in during an appointment and he offered to let me breastfeed her in his office since she was cranky. I did, and it was a HUGE help) While I was recovering I still received phone calls between my appointments so that he could see how I was doing. This was almost three months after I had my daughter. I would give him 10 stars if I could. I have NEVER received this level of care. The only downfall is he has set the bar very high for all the other doctors I will encounter in the future. He is not only very personable, but he has an extremely pleasant personality. My husband is just as fond of him as I am. I really cannot put this man on a pedestal more than I just have. read more

Dr. Ahdoot saved my life. I went in for my annual exam and he felt a knot in one of my breasts. I would have never thought that that little knot was cancer, but it was. Had he not sent me for an early mammogram I may not have been here to write this review. Once he found out I had cancer, he made an appointment with the best breast surgeon and then called me, gave me the bad news and told me I had an appointment the next day. I've been in the excellent care of Dr. Ahdoot for 4 years. Words can't adequately describe how grateful I am for his outstanding care, compassion, and expertise - but I will try because more patients should know how amazing he is. In addition to routine care, he managed my first pregnancy and c-section delivery with a level of individualized attention, approachability, and follow-up that made the entire experience so reassuring for a first-time mom. Delivering a healthy baby while ensuring my health and safety was his #1 priority. My case is complicated, but he is the quarterback of my healthcare team, always making sure that my health is completely covered and going above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable and confident every step of the way. He truly cares about me as a person and has shown that so many times with his check-in phone calls, carving out time to patiently answer questions and listen to my concerns, making himself available whenever I need him, and keeping an eye on my family planning goals. He also always asks how my husband and daughter are when I see him. When we were pregnant with #2 last year, we lost the baby due to issues outside of our control and I honestly don't know how I would've gotten through that heartbreaking experience without Dr. Ahdoot. He was a godsend and helped me get back on my feet again. We moved from the Burbank area last year and I continue to drive 1-1.5 hours in traffic to see him because he is the BEST. I really like Dr. Ahdoot. I will be honest though my first impression was not very nice. It wasn't because of the doctor himself it was because of how unkept the bathroom was. Old urine samples still in the cabinet, no pen to write my name on the sample/no sticker with my info already on the sample when they handed me the cup. That really bothered me. I swore I would never go back. Then I went and met w/Dr. Ahdoot. Speaking to him made me want to come back. He answered all my questions, he didn't rush my procedure, he did everything to make me feel comfortable. Luckily for me when I went in for another appointment his office had moved to the newer building and the setup was much nicer and the staff seemed like they had gotten their priorities straight. Let me also say-no office is perfect, no person is perfect. What matters is how comfortable you are with the person that is looking into your vagina. SHADY. When I initially called to schedule an appointment, they confirmed that they were within the network for Blue Cross PPO. After a few appointments, I, for some reason had my doubts (call it a girl's intuition). I asked the front desk again just to confirm. She couldn't answer me and instead she told me I needed to speak with the office manager! Behind closed doors, she confirmed that they WERE NOT within network. LIES! I switched back to my original OB right away even though she was twice as far. No wonder Adhoot did ultrasounds EVERY visit. Totally unnecessary! Being pregnant and dealing with their "billing department" (it's the office manager) was a nightmare! read more

I wanted to see his business partner, Dr Line, who had been recommended to me by my Internal Medicine doctor. No such luck -- Aroesty saw me instead as I presented with a full-blown textbook case of bacterial (strep) meningitis. This was a complication from a severe sinus infection, that also infected both ears. (I was referred to his office because of frequent severe sinus infections. My IM doc was having a great deal of difficulty treating this one, and that's why I was referred.) Because I was a cash-pay patient, and had brought my credit card(s) all ready to pay, he barely took the time to say anything to me. He looked unhappy, as if I was wasting his time. His cursory examination was no more than about ten minutes; I know now that he wanted to get away from me as fast as possible, because bacterial meningitis is extremely communicable -- and can kill you very easily and very rapidly. He never told me I had meningitis. I had to find that out another way and the delay was life-threatening; but yes, it was confirmed that I had it. Instead, he gave me a sample bag of 10 days' worth of Allegra and Levaquin, then told me to go home and rest. Riiiiight. TERRIBLE ADVICE! When you have bacterial meningitis, you should NEVER go see an office doctor -- you need to get to the hospital IMMEDIATELY, where you can be seen right away by an ER doc, so they can call in an infectious disease consult, as well as to be seen by a neurologist. Another one of my doctors literally flipped out when I told her what happened and she said I should have written the State Board about the TOTAL lack of real treatment. She said he had an OBLIGATION to refer me to County ASAP, since only about 25% of all who get this disease survive it. Nice to know he chose to play roulette with my life. Bitter? Yes. And I have every right to be. Because I'm cash pay, that didn't mean I didn't bring money to pay him -- but cash-pay patients get treated like scum, when we're made to pay upfront and often more for basic services. I certainly regret paying him for the pleasure of practically being ignored, and if you tell me Warren Line is better, I won't believe you; not after my experience with his business partner. I had deficits from the meningitis which probably could have been avoided, had I been told my symptoms were a textbook case -- and that I needed to get to a hospital, any hospital, IMMEDIATELY. I hope there is such a thing as karma, that's all I can say. read more

Dr. Ahdoot and his staff were amazing!! We could not have asked for a better experience, especially for our first baby! It was a scary thing to find out that my baby in the third trimester was still in the breach position but with every visit my husband and I felt more and more confident about the process. I wanted to have the bonding experience that I have always dreamt about. How was that going to happen with a C-Section? Would I be completely out of it? Will I see my baby afterwords or have to wait hours in a recovery room? With my recovery take longer? Would I have a scar that was visible and ugly? So many questions running through my mind and all the while my husband trying to repeat the positives that Dr. Ahdoot had said.. It wasn't until the actual delivery that I came to realize everything he said was perfectly accurate! Our baby came out perfectly healthy and beautiful! I had a bonding experience that was unlike anything I had dreamt about and our little girl didn't leave my side the entire time! My recovery was quick and the scar is smaller than I thought it would be and not even visible wearing a bikini! Yay beach!! The follow up appointments were always special and I never felt like his attention wasn't in my details. My situation. My life. My husband and I have some close friends who had a baby at the same time we did and just hearing the difference from their experience to ours makes us appreciate Dr. Ahdoot 1000 times more!! **5 stars** More if I could! I am so happy I found Dr. Ahdoot! On Dec 2012, I visited his office for a 2nd opinion on weather or not to have surgery on simple cysts that were found on both my ovaries. My first impression visit - A+. His staff was super friendly and helpful. Dr. Ahdoot spent time listening to my concerns, he answered my questions, gave me his opinions on my situation, then thoroughly explained my options. I was glad that surgery was last on his list, unlike my first Dr. who wanted me to remove them right away. Dr. Ahdoot's recommendation was to wait 2 or 3 menstrual cycles, since it may go away on it's own, then consider surgery if the cysts had not gotten smaller or increased in size. I had to come in monthly for monitoring. So my visits Jan & Feb 2013 consisted of ultrasounds to check the size of the cysts. Progress was slow, they were shrinking but not as fast as I had hoped. Dr. Ahdoot mentioned that it might be difficult to get pregnant with the cysts so having surgery would be a good choice if my husband and I were planning to have kids. And we were! I gave myself one more visit to decide weather or not to go ahead with the surgery. March 2013 - The usual office visit. Sign in, pee in cup, wait, go in room, check weight, check blood pressure, undress, wait, get ultrasound, talk about findings, opinions, recommendations, follow-up. Same results - cysts were still there BUT Dr. Ahdoot also told me I was pregnant (pee test was positive)!! I was totally shocked & speechless at first when I heard the news then he asked his assistant to do a fingerstick test. Again positive! Now I was super excited and sooo happy! Before I left his office went next door to CLA to get a blood test stat! Again, Dr. Ahdoot wanted to triple check. Later that day he personally called me with the results... Definitely 100% pregnant! My husband and I were elated!! I would never have thought I could get pregnant with the cysts still there. I felt very fortunate. Having the cysts present while I was pregnant just meant more monitoring. Dr. actually said that the cysts my have helped me get pregnant due to the progesterone. I was always looking forward to my next visit with Dr. Ahdoot, just so I can get a sneak peak of my growing baby! Every visit was pleasant. I would recommend making an appt 1st thing in the morning because the wait to see Dr. Ahdoot is probably less than 10 minutes. I've booked later appts and seem to have waited about 20-30 minutes to see him. They don't validate. :( So, I'd normally try and find parking on the street. Fast forward to Nov 2013 - Dr. Ahdoot delivered my healthy baby girl. I am so lucky to have found Dr. He is very professional, has good bedside manners, follows up with patients and is compassionate. This man saved my wife's life... We had a child on Jan 28th of this year, not because she was due, but because she got the flu (I gave it to her, sorry Maria!). Dr. Ahdoot urged us to go to the hospital ASAP so we went. It turns out she had excess liquid in her womb which was at dangerous levels. After the the C section (baby was breeched) her blood pressure sky rocketed and we were again in the danger zone. It was stabilized, then in the middle of the night she stopped breathing for a bit, but it was enough for the nurses on staff to all run to the room. So, to say the least we had a hard delivery and even tougher recovery, but the one constant was Dr. Ahdoots care. He wanted to be sure maria's condition was taken seriously, even when the hospital staff wanted to minimize everything. Dr. Ahdoot went above and beyond to make sure my wife was taken as a special case cause nothing about it was easy. He was there when we it was time for the c section and was available in the middle of the night when she stopped breathing. When he would check up on us and let us know everything was going to be ok it made a world of difference. Even not that it's been a few months since this all happened he still cares enough to help us out any way he can. I've been seeing Dr. Ahdoot since I was 17 or 18 and he is the absolute best. I'm so thankful my regular physician sent me to him all those years ago. He's so smart, to the point, and kind. His whole office is great. Everyone wants to be there - they're all helpful no matter what you need. Dr. Ahdoot has always been someone I've recommending to friends and family..then..a month ago he delivered my first child. And I have to say, the whole process from beginning to end was everything I could ask for. Any questions I had, no matter when I called no matter how crazy and frantic I was - he answered them and kept me calm. He kept my husband involved and in the loop at each visit - he genuinely cares about his patients and their significant others. On the actual day of my delivery I was so so so so so thankful to have Dr Ahdoot by my side. Dr Ahdoot is a great OBGYN if you're looking for a new one. He has delivered both of my babies via c-sections and supported me through a miscarriage. The office is clean and modern. The staff is so friendly you want to be friends with them outside of being a patient. He is very patient-first in his approach. If you have wishes and intentions he tries his best to incorporate them, but not to the point or risking yours or your baby's safety. He even came in on a Saturday to the hospital to help me get discharged early. I came to him originally at 36 weeks pregnant with my first when my previous doctor had a bad fall and couldn't work. Lots of doctors wouldn't even consider being my doctor because they didn't take new patients after 29 weeks. I'll never forget Dr. Ahdoot telling me that I mattered and inviting me to his office that day. Dr. Ahdoot is a fabulous doctor! He delivered my son just last week, and the entire pregnancy and delivery went extremely smoothly due to his expertise and genuine care for his patients. I am constantly recommending him to my friends because I believe that he has the interest of the patient at heart. Throughout my entire pregnancy, he was thorough and really took time with me at every appointment to answer my questions and make sure that I had all the knowledge I needed to be comfortable. I have never felt rushed with him, and he always gives me his full attention. A few weeks ago, I called him because I had food poisoning. He immediately had me go to the hospital and called the nurses and my cell phone regularly to make sure that I was doing okay. Anytime he has any concerns, he calls me to check on me and be certain that all is okay. I've never had a doctor that checks in with me personally, and I so appreciate that. The birth of my son went smoothly because of his decisions along the way. He made sure that both the baby and I were healthy at all steps, and that was clearly his first priority. I received a collections notice from Quest Diagnostics regarding a service that Dr. Ahdoot's office claimed to provide to me in May of 2019. One problem: I have not been to California in THREE (3) years. The office is failing to contact me regarding the obviously fraudulent charge. I had to come and update my review because I have known Dr Ahdoot for 7 years now. I posted my first review after I had my first baby, well I had another beautiful baby girl and yes Dr Ahdoot was my ob/gyn. Fast forward 3.5 half more years to nowadays and this time my mom needed a hysterectomy performed. Our initial consultation with him for my mom he didn't even charge my mom and within a month and a half of the initial appointment he performed the long waited surgery. I've been a patient of Dr. Ahdoot's for three years now, and every year I can only say more and more wonderful things about this great man. I've never trusted anyone as much as I trust Dr. Ahdoot. He's unlike any physician you could ever have because he really cares. In our current day and age it's so easy to become just another patient, but you are NEVER that with Dr. Ahdoot. He has always really championed for me and always been super on top of things. He cares, he listens, and he really makes sure that you make educated choices when it comes to your health. I'm very over weight, and Dr. Ahdoot has never made me feel bad about myself. Instead he has been positive and helpful. Currently i drive nearly 300 miles round trip just to see him. After getting misdiagnosed with other doctors, My family doctor referred me to Dr. David Ahdoot, From the moment he introduced himself to me made me feel very comfortable. If you're looking for a doctor who is fast, caring and pays extra attention to detail, look no further. He literally saved our daughters life. We happened to go into a regular weekly visit during our last month of pregnancy, and he noticed my amniotic fluid to be low. He calmly, directed us to go to the hospital and be seen by a perinatologist and reassured us that everything was okay. Sure enough, the perinatologist confirmed Dr.Ahdoot's finding and suggested we don't take any risks and instead have the baby that day. Immediately, the two doctors communicated and scheduled us for a C-section the following morning at 5am. During the next few hours, the nurses in the maternity unity of St. Joseph Hospital, constantly updated Dr. Ahdoot. Before we realized it, Dr. Ahdoot FaceTimed us and informed us that he wanted us to stay over night to monitor the baby and of course me (the mother) and gave us a heads up that if the baby's heart rate were to drop again, chances of the C-section happening ASAP would be higher. Just as Dr. Ahdoot had prepared and warned us, the baby's heart rate dropped and we were scheduled for the C-Section within the next hour. I cannot begin to explain how confident and relaxed I felt knowing that I was under the care of Dr. Ahdoot. He came into the room, and gave us a walk down of everything that was going to happen and made sure I was in no pain and discomfort. After that, everything else was nothing but great. His team of anesthesiologist, nurse and assistant we're all very sweet and caring. After the procedure, I was up and walking within a few hours. Dr. Ahdoot has hands of gold and he is extremely skilled in labor and delivery. He made sure I had 0 pain while in the hospital and when I got discharged. It has been one month after the birth of our baby girl and I barely have any scarring. We cannot wait to have our second baby under Dr. Ahdoot's care! We love you, Doc! read more

Had my first pap smear and it wasn't so bad. I knew Dr. Ahdoot since 2007 but never went back to him because I was only a little girl at the time and didn't need to go to the gynecologist. The reason I went in the first place was because there were some weight issues, hair issues, and they found cysts on my ovaries. I decided to go back to him on my own accord this year being diagnosed with PCOS a few years back and I am glad I did. I was afraid of doing the pap smear and I wanted to go back on the birth control to regulate my period. He not only helped make my first experience comfortable and quick he prescribed the birth control as well as a Janumet to help lower my sugar levels. He made everything so clear and easy to understand. I recommend if you have good insurance. I go through United Healthcare. Hope this review helps! Best doctor we have ever seen. He worked with us to start our family. He did everything he could do and everything worked!
