Never been here before. Originally we were going to hit KPot since we were at IKEA, but my son saw this on Facebook and we had to try it. This place is good and reasonable for a burger. (Lunch special was $9.99) We ordered the Loaded nachos with pulled pork, Mac Attack Burger- Double Stack Smash Mac & Cheese Burger; mix of two juicy, smashed beef patties and a generous serving of creamy mac & cheese, all on a Hill Donut Co. brioche donut roll and a candied bacon burger. Made both a combo to add a drink and 1 side (fries) and got cornbread also (cornbread was more cake like). Would eat here again for sure. On 5/22/25, I purchased the Combo Platter, costing well over $60 dollars. I was advised at the time the kitchen was closing and that the collard greens were not available. Which they could have advised before 20:00. They offered to replace the collard greens with donuts. One donut was larger than the entire meal Itself! The Mac & Cheese came in a small plastic container. The consistency was like glue and was not good at all. They sent two small ribs the size of a pointer finger. It's was dry, along with the Brisket, which was very dry and parts of the meat was hard. The chicken wings were burnt and hard as a rock, which was inedible! The fried breaded shrimp was placed in a small plastic container and was very soggy!! If this is a representation of this establishment, then they have a lot of work to do!! We've tried many of their sandwiches & always get their brisket egg rolls- delicious & easy to reheat. I am writing this because I found not ONE, but TWO bones, over an inch long & thick in TWO DIFFERENT egg rolls-. I almost choked on the first, but luckily the second day I "sifted" through the meat & found the second. I will NEVER get the egg rolls- again, and I 'm debating about other items, because this negligence could be indicative of their lax effort in the kitchen. First time trying this place, it was pretty okay. We got the 2 meat/2 side platter and the amount of meat that you receive for the price It's not worth it. Ribs were very small and didn't have much meat on them and only received 3 wings which is outrageous. The sides were okay, nothing that will blow your mind. Great location. Warm feel and welcoming staff. Was just passing by the area and walked in with that magnificent punch of smoked meats and fresh baked doughnuts. I tried the Chipotle chicken rice bowl. A flavor-packed fall apart chicken and fresh avocado and cilantro on top of super soft jasmine rice. Unbelievably delicious! Family enjoyed a huge smash burger with thick chewy bacon and fall apart, "eat every last scrap of meat" ribs. We topped off with some fun and interesting doughnuts. Cool historic building and walked off my 2000 calorie lunch in the attached antique store. Then you have to hope you find a seat and the server finds you. Each time I've been there one item has been wrong and it seams like too much trouble to get it resolved. I decided to stick to delivery but now I cannot get a small item credited. I loved the brisket cheese steak but the last one was not up to par. Not a great first time experience. What took me to this place was the search for the best cinnamon bon in the area. Not the case here which I could tell by looking at the cinnamon bin in their glass case. Way too big to be any good but we had to try since we were there. Cinnamon bon was too tough, as if it had been there a bit longer than it should have (not fresh). Wasn't horrible but definitely not worth it. Buttercream icing was okay. The Cookie Monster donut had too much icing for our liking. Otherwise the donut seemed somewhat fresh and okay. Lastly was the pulled pork platter with fries and cornbread. Way too much fat and gristle again not worth it. What little bit of pork was in there was good, juicy and tender with good smoked flavor. Fries were mediocre a bit salty for my liking but fine otherwise. Cornbread was horrible definitely not fresh too tough as if had been packaged for several days. Flavor was southern sweet crunch with some type of smoked flavor blended in. All of this for $55 which is why such low review. Not impressed will not be going out of our way to visit again. I had been wowed by their other location so decided to venture to this one during covid-19 phase 2 outdoor eating only. First, during covid all rules flew out the window for the staff. High expectations resulted in big disappointment . We were beyond excited to try a local BBQ eatery since there doesn't seem to be many around. My boyfriend spent a handful of years living in Alabama so he was looking for some southern comfort and, of course, has some high standards for the cuisine. A perfect salty-sweet combination and the bacon was thick and tender. Melts in the your mouth! The egg roll was large in size (one is more than enough if you're sharing it as a starter) and packed big flavors from the pulled pork and Q sauce flavors, but it was a bit too greasy. I didn't finish my half for that reason. We're a sharing couple, so we got the pulled pork sandwich (with coleslaw) and the shaved brisket platter. The sandwich was delicious! The pork was very nicely cooked, but it was missing the sauce we requested. Our order came with some BBQ sauce so we did dip the sandwich in that for a little extra flavor. I'm a coleslaw fanatic and this one was TERRIBLE. Such a let down! Literally no flavor at all. Onto the brisket platter! The brisket was quite dry but the flavors were solid. For our two sides, we chose the pit beans and corn bread. The beans were smothered with pulled pork, onions, and peppers. Absolutely delicious! If you've noticed the trend- This establishment has nailed their pulled pork items. The cornbread though? WOOF! A total letdown. It was like you just went hiking through a desert for 8 hours with not a single sip of water. That's how dry this large square of bread was. We came here with family to eat before going to the lights on main Christmas celebration. It's a really small place I thought we would be waiting awhile for a table but it was only about 15 minutes. Our table was kinda cramped they pushed a 2 top next to a booth which really wasn't enough room for 7 people, but I guess they had to make do. They gave us free samples of their seasonal apple donut which was nice. It was a little dry but ok. I ordered the 1/3 rack or ribs. They let you pick any 2 sides you wanted from their list even the premium ones so I was excited to get the lobster Mac and cheese and I got the Brussel sprouts with bacon. I'm a huge seafood fan but surprisingly I liked the brussel sprouts better. They were delicious- charred and had a smoky bacon flavor throughout the whole dish. It was a huge amount too I ended up taking some home and had leftovers for 2 more days. The lobster Mac had some good sized pieces of lobster, a lot of places are stingy on the lobster but they weren't. The lobster made it taste fishy throughout the whole Mac though and there was some type of cheese I'm used to having in it that was missing, maybe needed more of a sharp cheddar flavor. I really liked the ribs. They had a great smoky flavor as well. They put the sauce on the side which I originally wasn't really happy about but then once I tasted it I knew why. They wanted you to taste the great rib flavor by itself without drowning it in BBQ sauce. It almost reminded me of the ribs we got in Kansas City. The only thing is I usually like my ribs falling off the bone tender which these weren't, but the flavor made up for it. Hi, So I bought from the place today and am completely appalled with my service and food. I ordered food and waited an hour for my takeout and I didn't even order that big of a meal. I ordered the big mamma which gives you 1/3 lbs of brisket, pulled pork, and ribs and was shocked to see that ALL of the pulled pork was fat. There wasn't even an edible piece there. The brisket was dry and the ribs fatty. After paying about 80 dollars on a meal for my family I had to throw out half of it due to all being fat. The only highlight of the meal was the cornbread which is very sad. So on top of an hour wait for fatty food I do not recommend this place to a friend, this isn't the first time I've had an experience like this here and am very sad to say I will not be returning! read more

Upon arriving, we were told there was a fifteen to twenty minute wait, but our entire party wasn't there yet, so that works for us. About ten minutes later, my phone was ringing. Our party of seven ordered various items, but I loved everything I ate. The ribs my wife got were fantastic. I loved the rub. The brisket sandwich I got was the best brisket sandwich I've ever eaten. It tasted like chili a bit, maybe the cheese used is the same cheese you would add to chili? Like a chilidog chili... I loved it though and I loved it the next night leftovers too. My brother-in-law told me it's a bit pricey, but I thought the prices were reasonable for BBQ. It takes so much time to make and do it right, so it has to be more. Not sure why I stayed to eat here, food was fine, but FLIES EVERYWHERE. I understand that there is a door which gets open frequently but I have never eaten somewhere with this amount of flies. They had donuts uncovered and I can only imagine how many flies have landed on them! The bathroom also had flies in it! The bathroom was sooooo disgusting, toilet had black dots inside. The toilet brush out in the open had feces on it. The floor looked like it's been months since it was every cleaned. The sink wasn't even clean. I recently visited David & Sons for the first time. Even before my visit, I was mesmerized by the menu. It is expansive and full of all your standard BBQ fare as well as some intriguing options including the Big Mama sandwich - brisket, pork, and mac & cheese or the Candied Bacon Burger (no explanation needed). As intriguing as all the menu items looked, I opted for the BBQ combo platter - your choice of 3 meats and 2 sides. My meat choices were the brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs and sides were cornbread and candied bacon (yes, you can get it as a side!) The brisket was chopped which I haven't seen before, yet it was juicy and tasty as was the pulled pork. The ribs were okay. They had good flavor but the meat wasn't falling off the bone the way I like. The cornbread was dense yet packed a huge flavorful punch. The candied bacon, well, it was amazing but you already knew that. The only negatives were the wait staff. No qualms about their friendliness or attentiveness. We must've just gotten the new guy on his first day taking our order because we had to repeat it a couple times which made the transaction much longer than it should have been. Our server was also not wearing a mask when she delivered our food; however, was later wearing one when she came to check up on us. Overall, not a bad option for BBQ if you find yourself in the area. Like any good BBQ place, it looks a little unassuming from the outside. They have a lot of outdoor seating, so definitely go when the weather is nice. The food is great. Their BBQ sauce is well balanced, the meat cooked to just the right tenderness, the Mac n cheese on the sandwich is creamy, the fries were crispy on the outside and well seasoned. I ordered a combination platter with three different types of meat, brisket, pork, and ribs. I wish the brisket had more flavor, wasn't so dry, and was more tender. The pork was tender, but lacked that nice pork flavor. The ribs were surprisingly tough and dry. Part of me thinks that the meat had been sitting around under a heat lamp for too long, but we got there for lunch so that should not have been the case. I'm beginning to wonder if the food we ordered was from the day before. Fresh bbq is normally nice and juicy with lots of flavor. Could we have gotten unsold food that had been refrigerated and reheated? I'm inclined to say, yes, we were eating reheated dried out food. By the way, this lunch for two wasn't cheap. I spent close to $100 for two combination platters and two drinks. Again I want to say that I don't like giving low reviews. I realize that a review can hurt or help a business so I try to be as accurate, and kind, as possible. There aren't many places in the area to eat except for diners, pizza, or fast food so this place has the potential to be a really cool place to go. If you're considering giving up pork, stay home. One bite and you will never again say the word quinoa to your vegan friends. The pulled pork is so low and slow the devil is afraid to go down to South Jersey for a taste. David makes it lean, succulent, and irresistible. Just get in here. Eat everything on the menu. Just don't miss anything like the brisket mac' n cheese, or the unique German potato salad with his sassy mayo mustard seed dressing, or the fact that you can BYOB, and buy your own thick sliced, smoked and peppered bacon to take home and cook for breakfast. And if you don't like salmon, neither does Dave. That's why he smoked it so you can't believe that a normally dry flesh like this could be so juicy and smokey that you are dumbfounded, as I was when he slapped a sample into my bare hand. I licked my fingers and purchased the rest of the cut. I rarely give 5 stars. D&S deserves 10. D&S also has some of the best house ground beef and burgers on the continent. I order burgers the usual burger guys and from steak houses, and none stand up to D&S quality and style of preparation. The house burger is perhaps the best sandwich deal on the menu, with a blue cheese and sautéed onion spread for $7.99. I order it medium (it's like a ground steak) and add extra lettuce and tomato, then request the house made mustard (whole grain) for dipping the corner of my sandwich. I used $8.00 in napkins just to eat this juicy meatatarian . I plan to purchase the ground beef from the fresh deli counter next time to make my own meat sauces. If I get to the pearly gates and St Peter decides I'm not on the list, I will have already tasted a bit of heaven: the baconey, al-dente potatoey, lightly creamed, perfect clam chowder at D&S. Try a cup; next time you'll have a bowl. The fish and chips have good flavor, but for my taste buds I'll stick with a bowl of clam chowder, or maybe a cup with the All American burger, which is one in my favorite burgers in the country. November 2019 Back for the All American (AA) burger, a blend of brisket, chuck, and regular ground beef, I think. Well, there's nothing regular about this burger, one of the best in America. Today I had it with the rosemary-garlic-olive-oil, hand cut fries. Delicious! Back at the office, lots of proud, heavy breathing. I've conquered a box of these Soldiers with the AA. D&S now serves brunch on the weekend, and added a daily line up of some of the best soups you wouldn't get this good in a boujee 5-star place: Smoked NE clam chowder, lobster bisque, and MORE! Our fearless leader tried the "Pepper & Thyme crusted filet mignon sandwich for $14.99". First appearance when they brought out the platters was "WOW"! I keep it simple with fried onions and ketchup. They say half pound of meat and I'm thinking it was more. Some places advertise with words like "jumbo" or "big" and "giant" and inevitably disappoint. Not this place! The final product was moist and tender on a butter toasted Liscio roll. The whole thing worked well together. The filet cheesesteak was very good but I wasn't a fan of either the seasoning or the arugula. The meat was tender and would have been great with simple salt and pepper. Nothing wrong with it just a personal preference. In addition order Red neck egg rolls (love the name). It was filled with pulled pork and cole slaw. Served with cue sauce which later found out is barbecue sauce and Japanese mayo. Nice taste to it with just a little heat. Excellent condiment for the egg rolls and probably will slather it on my left over cheesesteak today. We got talking to The manager and Tiffany who cooked this amazing food for us. They encouraged us to try their barbecue food next time, but as we explained we were on a cheesesteak adventure. The next thing the manager did was life altering. I got fancy and order the crusted filet mignon cheesesteak. It was a mistake. It was very tasty and wonderfully made but compared to the cheesesteaks, it was an ordering mistake. For the cheesesteak meat they use a ribeye/brisket blend that makes for an unbelievably tasty mushy fancy but fun party in your mouth. They use a great amount of cheese and it is mixed through the meat perfectly. My two concerns are; 1. I wish I had a bigger stomach so I could have eaten more. 2. They were out of bread AND rice pudding. They put so much care, detail, quality and pride into their cheesesteaks that I am certain the bread and/or rice pudding would have been phenomenal. read more

We just got the Big Mamma Platter - 60 bucks, feeds 2-3. Yeah...small people. We got takeout. I hope I can leave pictures. The brisket was tough, leathery, mostly the outer crust chunks - no slices like you would expect -should have been put in the beans to soften up. Tiny portion, same with all the meets - the sausage was dried out, ribs were like jerky - dry and tough to get off the bone - and the pulled pork - not enough for one sandwich, let alone feed 2-3 ("Ompalompahs?) people. The sides were OK - the beans were mostly old shreds of meat, meh, and Brussel spouts - which were good. Really a DISAPPOINTMENT. We were shopping at the antique shop next door. Went to 322 bbq to grab food/snack, but ended up just ordering the red neck egg roll. We sat down to wait... almost 25 mins later I went up to ask if they forgot our order. The girl who rung us up asked another cashier if he got us the food. They did forget our order. No apologies offered. Granted it was our first time and the guy who ordered his to-go food before us just got his. We should've asked sooner, that's our fault, but all three of the servers were also watching us waiting for our food...including the server who took our order. Place is nice, with tables to sit in. Lots of flies flying everywhere, but it was a bit muggy, hot and rainy out. The red neck egg roll was good, lots of flavors, a bit greasy & mushy, but overall unique. Worth a try for the flavor but not worth to get it again. Perhaps train staff better with service. Food is a solid 3 stars but I can't get over the service. We most likely will not visit this place again. There are many bbq places with better service and food. read more
