Calamari and crab bisque to start.
    Stephanie B.

We have not dined in here for years. During the last two years we have ordered takeout and it has always been good. The happy hour menu lured us in on a Saturday early evening about 4 pm. We started with one martini on the HH menu and one on the regular menu. First we ordered calamari --this was perfect. Although the hot Cherry pepper cause was a kickin' especially when you got a seed! It was a nice change from red marinara. This was on the HH menu. Next- crab bisque, a standard long time Rode's favorite of mine. Didn't disappoint. Ordered bacon wrapped shrimp, this was the downfall of the meal, dry and a smidge over cooked. Should've passed and went for the wings Also had the fig jam & blue burger with the homemade chips. Omg so delicious. Their burgers are always good. We have eaten them to go and this was even better dining in. All in all not a bad night out at the bar.

    Peach mule

Fish and chips were pretty good. Had a peach mule and I enjoyed it very much. It wasnt too crowded. Overall, I will definitely go back. Seemed like elevated bar food. That being said, they had some fancier dishes on the menu that I haven't tried like a shrimp risotto. Maybe next time...

We came here for date night a few nights ago. Our server was very friendly. We started with their cornbread which was okay but broke apart very easily. They also gave us a basket of rolls which was nice esp since a lot of restaurants (ex - Botto's down the street) stopped doing that. My hubby had a few martini's & a cheeseburger; I had a glass of wine & chicken francaise. Food was very good & we had a nice time.

We have been coming to Rode's for many years and have never had a bad experience. With it being one of our staple restaurants, we have tried countless items from their menu and have loved them all. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the drinks are also great. They always play the best music too! Everything about Rode's is fantastic and I highly recommend it to anyone!

Too bad. The hostess was nice and we were seated right away. Our waitress Daisy was phenomenal, but my food came out and it was cold. I got the open faced turkey. Basically thanksgiving dinner. It sounded great, but the stuffing inside was cold. The waitress took it back and ensured they would make me a new one. They didn't, they just put it in the microwave. Guess what, it was still cold inside. So disappointing. Daisy seemed legit upset about it, rightfully so. At this point, I asked for them to take it off the bill as my wife and son were more than halfway done with their meals. I fully expected a manager to come out. No one did. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Oh, Rode's, I wanted to like you. Really. The lower Glouco/Salem County area is a royal pain when it comes to dining out. I mean, you've got your slew of pizza places and a couple chains. Coming across a nice place to eat outside of those distinctions? Good luck. (Actually, if you know of a place that I'm missing, please-please let me know.) I had tried Rode's once before in 2009, and remembered a subpar experience. Still, I'm a big fan of second chances, so I ignored the majority of reviews on Yelp, and headed here tonight with my mom and grandmom for dinner. First: prices are steep for the offerings. My $17 chicken was tough, and I'm surprised it was a "half chicken." The pomegranate was my meal savior. Second: I know our server didn't like us. I know this because when my 84-year-old grandmother announced in her 84-year-old way that she "didn't like the rice pilaf," the server rolled her eyes walking away. GIrl, I saw you do that. Wait until you get to the kitchen the next time, please. Third: There was absolutely nothing exciting about this place. It was mediocre at best. Even their desserts looked boring. I wanted to like it. I did. I like giving good reviews. But, just. Nope. Not this time.

Since retired but came here today to see my friend/old customer. Got here at 12pm. Seated quickly in the back (place was very dark). Waitress came by for our soft drinks. I order an ice tea. She came back as the tea had to be brewed - now its noon time and tea for ice tea isnt brewed which took 10/15 mins (first strike). Placed our order - i ordered 5 wings and the roasted veggie grinder. Lunch partner ordered a French dip. Wings came out timely and were good. It took the French dip and roasted veggie grinder 30 mins to come out and the order was wrong - it wasnt a French dip, my sandwich was not toasted, nor did it have the aioli on it either (2nd strike); both went back - server apologized and said remake would come out quickly. There was a table of 3 ladies other side of us and their order came out three times to complete - it came out piecemeal but i digress. Server was clearly embarrassed since she stayed away. I saw her and asked when out food was coming - 1255pm the remake came out. The French dip was supposed to be on a seeded roll which it was not, and my roasted veggie sandwich was a mushy mess of what they called roasted veggies still on a soft ciabatta roll that was not toasted as a grinder should be and the veggies were over salted. (3rd strike) The server offered to have the manager come by but I declined as he/she would not have been happy by the time I was done with him or her. After being closed for a few years was excited to come back. Needless to say wont be going back. It should not take 30 mins for sandwiches to come out, then be a wrong order or not as advertised, then have to wait another 20 minutes for the remake and still be wrong. my sandwich was comped which was kind of the server.

We were a little confused when we saw it was a golf club but it's open to the public. The food is awesome. We got a few appetizers. Truffle fries. Battered zucchini flowers which I had never had before. Those were so good. If you get a side salad with a sandwich instead of fries it's still a large helping. Most times when you sub out you get a weak salad. My friend got the sugar bacon burger which he said was awesome. That's kinda what I wanted but then I panic picked the blackened tuna sandwich. Which was delicious so I'm not upset. Wife got a taco salad that came in a large corn chip bowl. Tons of chicken on it. Very large portions.
