Sherry was DELIGHTFUL! We scheduled another haircut with her for both our girls. We were concerned about cutting our youngest hair so short BUT Sherry really expressed how important and was and made us feel so comfortable. Sherry told us we need to keep getting her haircut every 6 weeks because of the blonde and how damaged her hair gets with sun and chlorine. Sherry also said she should sleep with a silk pillowcase to help prevent her hair grabbing and tangling at night. Then to braid her hair at night. Not to use any other hair ties but scrunchies. Buy moisturizer for her hair and put it in every day in middle and ends doesn't need to be at the top because her hair dries out a lot. Sherry said the cut is much better and will help her hair grow healthier, it won't break as quick if we do all the above. Finally Sherry said to also said before she goes in the pool to spray it down with water to prevent chlorine damage because her hair is so blonde. The stylist was nice enough and pleasant. The dye job my poor daughter received for her 14th birthday is HORRIBLE!! She is heartbroken that her hair turned out so wrong. She wanted the bottom half of her hair red and instead got a very thin layer of red that was applied more like a highlight using foil. Not what she wanted at all! Definitely NOT worth the insanely high price charged. Don't waste your money! We have received better services at the beauty school and for ALOT less money. read more

I've been a client for years...took a work call in the car to make it to the appointment then due to traffic called before my appointment to say I'm running 6 minutes behind according to GPS & I'm told to reschedule with next available weeks out. Receptionist was rather rude about it too! Ironic that I can show up & have to wait 5-15 minutes after my scheduled appointment nearly every time but 6 minutes couldn't be accommodated for me?!? I've put up with the limited scheduling times available for working people & scheduling months in advance to get one of those evening or 1/2 day Saturday slots & then patiently sat each time waiting past my appointment time but I am now done with this salon!!! read more

I have been a client here for 20+ years. Everyone is treated like a VIP. They have excellent customer service and the front desk staff is on their game. The surroundings are aesthetically pleasing and the spa area is quiet with low lighting. I love all the little extras that they do here. Customer appreciation time is my favorite time. I usually walk away with something pretty fabulous. My stylist keeps my hair in top condition. They offer different packages if you're looking for an all-day experience. I recently visited your salon in Cottleville. I got a haircut from my usual hairdresser who was very obviously sick. I wasn't happy so I called to have it fixed. It was "fixed" by someone who was brand new out of beauty school. Why would you have someone "fix" a haircut who was inexperienced? She didn't even get my hair wet and cut it with some kind of thinning sheers. It's choppy and uneven and too short to fix! I thought you had a better reputation. read more

I want to update that I did receive a full refund this morning and an apology. I highly appreciate the salon making this right. I honestly did not want to leave this place a bad review but I feel like people should get a fair warning. I had my first appointment with them on a Friday and my hair color was absolutely butchered. A total balayage fail. It looked like I let someone do my hair out of their basement. I paid $350 for this, the most I have EVER spent on my hair. I simply wanted some blonde in my ends for dimension. I ended up almost all blonde, patchy AF, my blonde "money piece" had a huge patch of brunette right in the middle, half the blonde was orange, and she bleached the back of my shirt. I called and spoke with the manager the next day and she set me up with, her words, a top stylist on Monday. I went in today for the fix, she suggested lowlights. It's definitely better than when I left on Friday but it's still no where near what I asked for originally. I feel like my hair looks the same today as it did on Friday when I got there. So I essentially spent $370 after tips for a hair cut and a money piece. My poor hair is fried. I need to go somewhere else for a color correction and will probably have to go dark all over when I originally went in just for some dimension. I dont have the money for this considering I just spent almost $400 on my hair! More than I have EVER spent in my life. I'm so upset and I'm going to have to live with this hair for the next few months until I can afford getting it done again. read more

I need to update my review. Clearly the experience I wrote previously was a once in a lifetime experience. I've returned at least 2 additional times at both locations and I have loved the experience. Firstly I would like to say that we got both hair styling and make-up applications done at this location for this same day. The make-up artist did an amazing job and this review is not a reflection of her services whatsoever. Unfortunately, the hairstyling was so bad that it warrants this review. We came in on 5/29/21 for hair styling for a bridal party. The Bride, thankfully, got a beautiful style that was obviously done by a skilled stylist. This review is also not a reflection of this stylist's services. The stylist that did both of the bridesmaid's hair- mine and one other, left SO MUCH to be desired. Though both myself and the other bridesmaid had bad experiences, I will only be writing my own personal experience. She may wish to write her own review. The stylist- I believe her name was Amanda? I'm not 100% sure about that though. Here is a bullet breakdown of my experience with her: -She lacked professionalism. Her "booth" was DIRTY dirty. Disgusting honestly. The uncleanliness of the booth made me feel as if the entire business was unclean. I'm not sure if that's the case, but it certainly felt that way. Her appearance was as if she just rolled out of bed without showering (and she unfortunately smelled like that as well. I legitimately dreaded taking breaths while in her chair.) and didn't appear to have brushed or styled her hair. These things aren't the end of the world, the main thing is skill over appearance. -She curled my hair with a straightener. For a special occasion style, I do not feel that is appropriate, but she didn't seem to even have a curling iron at her booth. These curls did not result in the loose, mermaif-y curls that I was hoping for or that was shown in my inspo pic. She also curled all of my hair in the same direction rather than away from the face and in opposite directions. -She teased my hair to high heaven. It's not 2008 and the style I showed the inspo pic for did not have even the slightest "snooki" proofing. I'm not sure why we had to do that. This was probably part of what ruined my hair. -Salon De Christe stated that she was experienced and "good" with the type of extensions that I have in my hair. Yet she kept calling them beaded row extensions, and though similar, they are not that. I genuinely believe that she RUINED my hair/extension installation/extension hair. I have had SO MANY issues with them since sitting in her chair at Salon De Christe- exponentially more problems than I have ever had in the time I have had and taken care of these extensions. -We have before photos. My hair looked smooth & wavy when I entered the salon. When I left it was TOO curly, teased, and FRIZZY all over. I left looking worse than when we went in. We went to Salon De Christe at my own recommendation. We had actually booked them for my wedding 2.5 years ago, but the major snowstorm made it where we couldn't use them. Salon De Christe has a reputation of excellence in St. Charles County, but we left disappointed and do not intend on using Salon De Christe for any future recommendations, routine styling, or events. I suggest you fully vet your stylist as well before going here. read more

Second trip back to this salon since last year. Tammy did absolutely amazing. My hair is super long and thick. And as intimidating as it was, she was up for the challenge. My haircut is exactly how I wanted it to be. Four inches off and the perfect amount of extra layers and thinning that I needed, it's so much lighter. I couldn't be happier. I recently moved back to St. Louis and had to find a new hair stylist. I had tried two other places. Both provided a bad experience and poor cut. I guess the "third time is the charm" as they say. The receptionist who took my reservation took the time to learn what I was looking for and matched me up with the perfect person. The experience when I arrived at the salon was even better. The prices are a bit high but worth it however my specialist in foot care is having to use towels the I wouldn't give away. And the pedi chairs are old and terrible looking. I've gone to this location for many years and won't let anyone else touch my hair. I can only speak to their stylists, waxers, and makeup artist as I have not experienced their spa services yet. Yes, they are a tad pricey, but I believe you get what you pay for. I tried going to a couple different salons to try and save a bit of money, but in not so many words, I came back and will not stray. Since I usually go quite a bit of time between cuts, I never can remember who did my hair last. So I always ask for a recommendation and warn them that I'm pretty picky so to give me a stylist that I can work with. I've always received great service and always pleased with my cut. Most recently I worked with April who was a newer designer. Honestly, I was a bit nervous with her being new, but decided to give her a shot. She was awesome! I gave her a picture and after some suggestions by her, she gave me a cut that I (and most around me) love! When I've gotten highlights, they ask for a color and since I'm not always sure, they've made recommendations and it always turns out great. No complaints on their waxing or makeup services either. Also, it seems like they stay pretty booked, but they are always willing to work with me to get me in even if it's last minute. I definitely recommend this salon to anyone. read more

Went to the "new talent" side. Hair cut ok but highlights ended up being an all over color! I wanted a few thin highlights in a few shades lighted than my natural brunette color and I left with blonde hair! That was after her "fixing" it. I bought a box of hair color in brown and fixed it myself while in tears * edit: the owner/ manager did call and apologize for unsatisfactory service and offered to remedy the problem. I chose Salon De Christe' for a trim. I recently moved and had been putting off searching for a new stylist. I made an appointment and was all ready to walk out the door when I realized that I had left my keys in my husband's car. I hopped on my bike and rode down, arriving a few minutes late. They were very nice, and pointed me in the direction of refreshments. That was a very welcome glass of water! I was pleased with my haircut and appreciated the little gift on the way out. I have been going to Mandy to have my hair done for many years now. She is the only one who can get the blond color right - not brassy, and she has talked me through many a time when I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my hair. I look forward to seeing her! I've also had other ladies style my hair for up-dos for weddings and special events. I have always been super happy with the results! I've also had several bikini waxes here. I normally don't really enjoy getting my hair cut, I always wear my hair really long and it's super thick and so the entire 45 minute experience is usually some random stylist continually remarking over how much hair I have and trying to push me to get layers that would not look good on me. This was a completely different experience than I've ever had before. They have the nicest waiting area with hot coffee and fountain sodas and plenty of comfortable chairs. JJ did my hair and she was a mind reading genius. Everything that other hair dressers have tried to push on me before she threw out without me saying anything, and she offered up new ideas of how to make my hair more manageable. She also continually stopped to ask how I was liking it and reiterated half a dozen times that I should call her if there was anything I didn't like! Yes for the most part I go to the same stylist each time but I have been known to experiment. Was skeptical about taking my son to get his hair done. He assured me he paid 25-28 dollars. Not much more than a decent cut from other establishments I agreed made the appointment. The "stylist" that usually cut, sorry styled, his hair had moved on. She recommended a new "stylist". We showed up for our appointment 10 minutes early out of courtesy. We did not see the stylist until 10 minutes after the scheduled time. The hair was cut and we proceeded to the check out person. "Okay with stylist so and so it will be 39 dollars, would you like me to add a gratuity? " I did and signed the slip. Here is my lament you have his history on the computer, you asked questions when I made the appointment, would it been ok to maybe inform me of the cost increase or YOUR policy of Jr stylist vs Sr stylist. If his mother chooses to continue to take him there I will be surprised, I know I will not or even recommend them. Not a big problem though, not many in my circle are seeking salon recommendations.
