It has been raining for two days in South Florida and today, a light fixture in our kitchen started leaking heavily. At 3pm, I called David Bange in a panic, noticing their 5-star rating and mention of "Emergency Services." Karen, who answered the phone, was PHENOMENAL. She calmed my anxiety and told me that she was getting someone to my home asap. By 4:20pm, Barbie and Joe showed up and immediately got to work assessing the damage. (Joe rushed straight from his wedding!!!) Within less than an hour, they did a temporary fix to stop the leak and scheduled us the next day for the full repair. They were professional, thorough, and comforting. Roof issues are no joke and they were clear and concise with their explanation of the repairs we needed and the price is reasonable. Put in a request for a follow up inspection for a possible leak after roof installation. Completely ignored.

This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a company. We paid in cash for a brand new roof. We had leaks in the upstairs bathroom. They confessed that that section wasn't done correctly. They came to "fix it". Had leaks in the same spots again. They didn't answer my phone calls or text messages with clear dates and times of when someone was coming to fix the roof. I called the company directly to speak to Johanna, Karen, or anyone who could help me. They didn't call back. I even had to contact an attorney. They finally fixed the roof after Gama and Matt were able to help me. Now I'm waiting on the ceiling to be fixed. They said they will be here at 9:00 AM Monday morning. No one showed up. After calling numerous times, they call me back almost 2 hours later that they have to reschedule. I definitely DO NOT recommend this company. Emergencies and situations happen to anyone but the non communication and ignoring is plain disrespectful. I have even shed tears because of this horrible experience. I would give Jackie H., an estimator and Caryn in the office at David Bange Roofing, 15 out of 5 stars if I could. Just 6 months after having the whole roof of a house replaced by another roofer in Miami, and it passed all city inspections, oddly a crack opened up in the soffit at the drip edge, where one part of the roof joins another section of the roof. As my employer who owns the house, no longer has any confidence in the original company's work, they decided to get a 2nd opinion from a team of professionals, and boy are they glad that they did. This company lives up to their high ratings. Caryn was a pleasure to talk to the other day on the phone. I explained my issue briefly, and after checking with her team on the road, she called me back in just 5 minutes, and said she could have someone out to the house to check out our roof problem in under 2 hours. I was amazed and a little bit doubtful, as it's hurricane season in South Florida again. A couple other contractors, when they actually took time to even answer their phone, said it would be a few days till I could even get someone out to take a look. Jackie H. called ahead to say she would arrive right on time and she did. She gave us a very detailed review, and she was extremely professional and knowledgeable. She pointed out exactly what problems she saw with our soffits. Several areas to her expert eye had apparent wood damage probably from past termites and/or erosion, and we have issues with several of the screens to the attic being jammed with debris some looked like critters had nested in there before. She said they should have been cleaned out and repaired or replaced as needed, as part of the replacement roofing job, to allow proper air flow out of the attic. This prevents heat and humidity from building up inside, which can damage the roof and joist structures from the inside out. She taught me quite a bit more than I previously knew about roof construction, soffits, fascias and drop edges, and explained why the prior repair work, which had been done just a few months ago, was lacking in several important areas. In her opinion, it was not up to industry standards, and definitely would not be acceptable to the rather higher standards of David Bange Roofing. She recommended that I contact our prior roofing company and get them to address these issues that they really ought to have done before they considered the job finished, and she also offered suggestions on what may have caused the sagging that caused the hole in the soffit that the owner was initially worried about, and who we should contact for that issue as well. I wanted to pay her for her time and the thoroughness of her consultation, but she flatly refused, as they offer free consultations and completely stand behind their work. I told her that if for some reason I couldn't get the original company to correct their work and finish the job that I unfortunately already paid them for, I would absolutely hire her and David Bange Roofing and be confident to get the job done right. read more

My father is a senior citizen who lives in Miami Florida. My brothers and I collectively realize that he needed a new roof and have made that happen for him on the financial aspect. We have taken and paid for more of the half of the roof to be done 13 K total for roof is 22K. They begin the work in June 20 21 and my father is still without a completed roof here some six months later. He has made numerous calls to the company continuously promised a new date and no one arrives. They have left debris on the roof for a substantial amount of time now we all know living in Miami Florida that's probably not the best thing. I then took it into my hands and contacted the sales manager Alex who had promised me that they would be there today to complete the roof. My father being a senior citizen excepted them saying to them they were coming to remove the debris but would deliver the tiles on Saturday Saturday is Christmas morning I'm very very disappointed in this company in the service that they have provided and I feel like they are taking advantage of senior citizens I continuously make calls and do not receive a call back read more

I contracted David Bange for a full re-roof right job sometime around April/May of 2021, and they began work in June. Even though the job itself only took about four or five days of actual work, the time in between seemed to drag on at times due to the weather. The results they provided were shoddy and a lot less than one would expect from something that would cost this much to fix. We had to have our solar panel heater removed along with a water tank, and even though they managed to do that without a hitch, the patch up work they did was severely less than professional. There are now nails driven through the wood panels that they actually did install and most the wood that they left untouched either had visible cracks left behind on them, or just wound up with a bunch of holes from all the older nails and whatnot. Mind you, this is a re-roofing job... so I shudder to think why they just didn't replace all the wood panels. One of the main beams had the nails popping out of it and it looked terrible. Upon informing them of this, their solution was just to put a board on top of it and hammer it in. The wrecking/tear down crew looked like they had been picked up from the nearest Home Depot or worse, the local prison! Right from the get go, they started littering water bottles on the grass in front of my house (even though this is on the street, it is my duty as a homeowner to maintain the appearance of this area). I later found out that they had left two cinder blocks (which I had lying around in the back) on top of my central AC unit located outside with what I was later informed had some plywood on top of it in order to prevent any debris from falling onto it. Good call on their part, and fair enough... but I wasn't informed of this while it was going on and to make matters worse, they just left the cinder blocks on there after they had left for the day. The least they could've done was pick them up and put them back where they had found them, but no! I also wound up finding more water bottles (which were oddly all about half full) thrown on top of this little makeshift roof awning on the back of my house that more or less resembles an open garage door. They had basically dumped most of the nails and pieces of wood onto this roof, which also has a gutter. Most of those nails had to be removed from these gutters with a magnet simply because they couldn't be bothered to pick up after themselves. Mind you, they did manage to clean up the back and front yard areas all right, so why couldn't they just take that extra step? It's beyond me really... About a week later (if memory serves) their roof supplier (who drives a delivery truck with a crane and has a decal of a Transformers Decepticon logo on the rear glass of the truck; I kid you not!) delivered the pallets of shingles for my roof repair. Whenever the crane dropped the pallets on the roof, we would hear these earth shattering crashes and my immediate thought was that something was going to break. A few hours later, when it began to rain, my hunch was right... and we had some leakage on this rebuilt roof which still had to have its shingles installed. So thanks to the carelessness of their shingle delivery supplier, we had to put up with a bit of unwanted water leakage for a couple of days 'til they showed up and did some patchwork. The main chimney also had a patch where water was leaking into, simply because they didn't spread the bonding agent/tar/or whatever it was that they used for the shingles. So around this time, it was a back and forth touch and go project; waiting to hear from them, and also waiting for the inspector to come by and check everything out. When the work was near complete, I noticed that there were a few dents on the metal liners around the roof. I had discussed this matter with Galen Reid (their estimator) about this and he just looked dumbfounded like he couldn't figure out what went wrong. He told me that they would send the crew back down to hopefully work it out, but they never came. To make matters worse, one of the last times that the inspector came by, he said that there was still a patch of stucco that needed to be attended to. They sent one of their workers to do it, and he completed it but neglected to leave behind the paperwork that the inspector needed for review. So now, the whole job is pretty much stuck in limbo and the ladder (which Galen attempted to make off with the last time he showed up) is still sitting outside in front of my house. If I had known that this was what I was getting into months back, I probably would have never gone through with it in the first place. This company really cuts a lot of corners, and it shows. I still can't figure out where the exorbitant price for this work came from; which, by the way, was another bone of contention that I had to pick with them... especially when you consider that they took the old water tank, dumped it, and probably made a bit of a profit at the nearest scrap yard. read more

It's been a tough time in history to replace a roof and I don't need to mention the time it takes to battle with insurance along the way. Having said that, Aaron came out, gave the estimate, stuck with us through almost a years worth of insurance battles, drying out of the house, supply shortages in the industry, COVID breakouts, inspectors who just seemed backed up beyond eternity and more to produce one of, if not the best looking roofs in our community which passed inspection and all at a reasonable price. I had other roofers come in and they were going to charge me $3,500.00 plus for work that was already done, this roofing came in and inspected the attic and said, we can't charge you, it's already done. The process took quite a bit longer than I originally anticipated, but it was exclusive to the roof tile manufacturer and a slowed supply chain issue. Everything that Aaron promised, he delivered. They showed up when he said they were going to be here. They did everything that was promised and they did so quite well. The crew was exceptionally clean after the old roof was torn off. The roof tear off, replacement of the panels that were rotted and decayed, along with the covering of the roof with 30# paper was all accomplished in a day. These guys (about 6) busted their humps for the entire day only stopping long enough to eat lunch. They were all very courteous, they saved some of my old roof tiles for me so that I could give them to a neighbor that had the same color tiles as my old roof. When the new roof tiles FINALLY arrived (3rd party vendor), they install date was scheduled and they had the entire job done in a day. These guys did a GREAT JOB!. I met a gentleman name Galen Reid from David Bange roofing when he stopped by to give me an estimate on my roof. He took pictures and he processed everything through the insurance company and I thought everything was great, in the beginning. My gutters were new so I told him that I did not want them damage, he then told me that he would have to process another claim through the insurance company to get additional funds for the gutters. I told him it was OK. BTW, this all started June of 2019. In august of 2019, I received approval from my association to start my roof and I send the approval to Galen. December 12th of 2019, I texted Galen to checked on my project, no response. I texted him again on January 7th of 2020 and on January 27 and still received no response until January 30th he called back to say they are still waiting for a check from the insurance company for my gutters. I then called the insurance company and my processor told me that the check was mailed to them back in October of 2019. I was and still am ANGRY, I send them a certified letter on February 10, 2020 to let them know that I no longer want them to do my roof. I had another company completed my roof in 3 months but I had to pay out of pocket for new gutters because the insurance company states that David Bange Roofing kept the check for the gutters. The sad part was, to now find out that they have a lien against my property from February 2020. Not only that, I received 6 estimates to do my roof before the new roofing company started and David Bange Roofing was the most expensive. They have such great reviews.
