She didn't start my son on the starting dose of Prozac and he got very sick from it. There is a major drug interaction between Cymbalta and Prozac. Our primary doctor and pharmacist were shocked when they heard that she prescribed these two medication together and recommended against taking them together. Since Dr. Thomas came highly recommended, my son did as he was told. Today he saw a psychiatrist and she was shocked that he was on these two medications and immediately told him that there are life threatening side effects. He is stopping the Prozac immediately. If you care about your life, don't go to this doctor. She is a strange one on top of all of this. She seems very medicated herself.

It's dingy, the common areas are carpeted, it's dark, and filthy. Their idea of a 'luxury' private room with king size bed was adjoining two queen size beds together. And they couldn't even do that properly as there was nothing keeping them attached. Therefore you can fall right down the middle. Pathetic. One staff member not only used expletives like a pirate but also managed to call me a Masshole (cause I'm from Massachusetts), only to then give me tips on how to tell good meth from bad meth! Having driven 6 hours to this dump I thought it best to spend the night since it was already dark outside. But first thing in the morning bright and early I was out of there. Though they didn't make it easy. They begged me to please stay even offering to walk my dogs (I brought with me) on my behalf and even take them to the dog park multiple times a day. There I was thinking to myself, 'I don't trust you with MY well-being much less my dogs well-being'! And so I left and hightailed it back to my home. I didn't think a place like this could exist in Malibu, but what this taught me is that even in Malibu one has to do their due diligence in researching a facility. I have since then heard from other individuals that this is a 'body broker' type of place. If you don't know what a 'body broker' is, Google it. Essentially it's when they pay (in one form or another) for someone to get high/use so they can bring them in and charge their health insurance. Alternatively it can also manifest as specifically seeking those in active addiction (regardless of their wanting to get sober or not) and paying/convincing them (one way or another) to come in; and as you may have already guessed: charge their health insurance. It is because of places like Oceanside Malibu that the recovery industry needs to be much more stringently regulated. A place like this dump should not be legally allowed to exist.

Every person who works at Seasons comes from a place of wanting the clients to succeed and it creates an environment of support that leads to healing and recovery from the mental issues and/or addictions that brought you there. Every day, your schedule includes multiple one-on-one sessions. They offer a wide range of modalities and each practitioner embodies their work so completely and believes in the work so deeply that one cannot help but come away feeling a positive change. The different modalities add up to a wholistic change in yourself by taking on issues from a number of entry points - emotional, spiritual, physical. At first, I was skeptical about a few of the modalities but the practitioners were so well educated and dedicated to their work that I my attitude changed and I reaped the rewards in my recovery. Aga, my case manager was invested from the first session we had together and has kept in touch with me after I discharged. My therapist Dr. Ben is the most talented, insightful therapist as I've had. Also, the COO, Dr. Shilati made herself available for any issues or concerns. It is not necessarily a 12 step recovery center but there are so many people who work there that are in 12 step recovery and literature available that it can feel that way if you are looking for it. They offer transportation every morning and evening to 12 step meetings. Including access to Monday through Friday morning meetings on the beach. The location is Lifeguard Tower 10. Lastly, the facilities are of a 5 Star hotel and the chefs who prepare lunch and dinner every day are supremely talented providing a wide variety of multi-course meals.

The managers would ignore issues I brought to their attention. They put staff first and always defended them because they were all friends! I would never recommend this place!!
