Back to the review, Dr. De Rosier is the Carlos Santana of Modern Dentistry. Smooth. Innovative. Sexy. The exam rooms are like something you might find in a really large Tesla, but with better seating. His demeanor...gentle and reassuring. It's like having The Dalai Lama working on your teeth, but with a hi-tech drill and dental mirror in his latex-gloved hand while soft rock whispers to you in the background. If I was feeling stressed out in general, I'd consider booking an appointment with his hygienist and Dr. De Rosier, just to chill out. Sometimes you find a dentist that's good. Maybe even good-good. But I can attest, that after nearly 60 years on this planet, that Dr. David P. De Rosier is the best. And not "The World's Best Cup Of Coffee" kind of best, found on every street corner...I drive from Los Angeles to Pt. Loma to utilize his services. THAT kind of best. I have had issues getting appointments for cleanings in the past and had delayed finding a new dentist. I called Dr. De Rosier and had an appointment set up for an initial exam within a few days! My first exam included X-rays (at my request) and overall exam of the condition of my teeth, jaw and bite. I had a dentist recommend a night guard in the past but felt like it was more for monetary gain. Dr. De Rosier walked me through my bite, detailed photographs and had me move my mouth to show how I was grinding my teeth at night. He made it very clear as to why he would recommend one (including issues I have with sleeping and why I sometimes have some pain in my jaw when I hold it open when during dental procedures). He was also very clear as to why and how it would help me and it all makes total sense! Dr. De Rosier has one goal in mind...helping his patients have clean teeth and living a better life! Dr. De Rosier and his staff were all very friendly and constantly asking how I was doing during his exam and X-Rays. I am soooo happy to have found him through Yelp and his reviews are 100% legit. They don't seem to overbook and have plenty of times available within a reasonable amount of time so they can see patients and give them the attention they deserve. I broke a front tooth veneer three days ago and was out of town. I was committed to being out of town the full week. I have always had horrible anxiety about going to the dentist, ever since i was a kid. Dr. De Rosier was AMAZING. I was referred by a colleague since my primary dentist is out of state. The front office staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Dr.'s assistant made me feel super comfortable, she explained everything she was doing and was very sweet. Dr. Derosier called me the day before my appointment to chat and answer any questions i had which i thought was really amazing. Most of our appointment (i was there for a tooth ache) was just chatting with him about health and dental history, any concerns i had, and my expectations. He is extremely knowledgeable and took his time literally going over every detail with me from the X-rays, pictures, my bite, etc. he found a few issues that need some work, but at no time pressured me into saying anything needed to be done right away. He explained what he thought was a priority, but continued to remind me i was in charge, and it's my decision what the game plan would be. After relocating from out of state, I was on the search for a new dentist. I have severe anxiety whenever I go to the dentist and finding a dentist I trust and who can handle my nervousness is hard to do. After 3 visits to other dentists (who tried to charge me for unnecessary caps, fillings, shamed me for not having perfect teeth and one even billed my insurance for procedures that did not happen), I found Dr. De Rosier. He's very mild mannered, calming and relaxed. After he performed his exam he informed me that what I needed was a good cleaning and dismissed the other things I had been told. He is so calm, he listens to your concerns, and he genuinely cares After years of suffering with neck and jaw pain due to clenching my teeth at night, he fitted me with a bite guard and then also adjusted my bite.
