I've been going to Ocean Beach Dental for the past seven years, and I've been highly satisfied with the experience and the care I've received from Dr. Aaron, Amanda, and the hygienist team. Every time someone I know mentions that they're looking for a dentist (which happens a lot, since San Diego is so transient and I'm constantly meeting people who have recently moved here), I'm quick to recommend Ocean Beach Dental! I originally checked them out on a friend's recommendation after she found them on Yelp, so it's high time I wrote my own Yelp review. Since I'm one of those lucky people who has never had cavities (or really any dental issues to speak of, at least not yet), I'm mostly just here for cleanings. However, I did opt to get retainers and later Invisalign with OB Dental, which was a positive experience. One thing I really like is that the office has evening hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays (until 7pm), which is helpful with a 9-5 work schedule. Also, Dr. Aaron is personable and caring. He always answers my questions thoroughly and makes sure I feel good about the next steps before he moves onto the next patient. This is a family practice, and they're easy to work with and schedule appointments with. My dental health and hygiene have greatly improved in the time that I've been regularly coming here. I just came from my first appointment at Ocean Beach Dental and had a great experience. I recently moved from LA and had been going to a high-end dental practice in Beverly Hills for years. One ongoing issue for me has always been getting X-rays -- I have tori bone, and it's usually uncomfortable at best and painful at worst. Francesca is an incredibly skilled hygienist. She was able to take X-rays with zero discomfort, which honestly surprised me. Her technique was better than what I've experienced for years. I'm genuinely grateful to have found her. Dr. Aaron was also thorough and clear, walking me through a detailed "report card" on my dental health, which I appreciated. Dr. Aaron Fiddelke and Amanda were not only professional but also genuinely kind and attentive, which made all the difference. I recently switched from another local Ocean Beach dentistry because my old dentist who was great retired and a new crew of people took over that practice. With that new practice I stumbled into 5 nightmare visits and once they final got the procedure done correctly, I chose never to go back. I've driven by it countless times, having grown up in Ocean Beach, and when I began searching for a new dentist, I was amazed by the number of outstanding reviews. I've never seen a dentist's office with such high ratings, and this place truly lives up to them. I've always disliked going to the dentist because the experience usually feels so sterile. In the past, my dentists were often indecisive, recommending questionable procedures that made visits feel purely transactional. This place, however, is completely different. Best dentist I have ever been to. I really dislike having dental work of any kind done and going to OB Dental has been a breeze. I had to have a root canal done a few years ago with a cap put on the tooth and Dr. Fiddelke and Amanda walked me through the whole process. Fast forward to now... I chipped the crown covering the tooth and in my panic they got me in the next day just to take a look. From there they worked with my schedule and were patient with me as I got got the appointments booked (including an overdue teeth cleaning). I feel like I can never move and if I do I might have to fly back every so often just to have my teeth cleaned by the amazing staff at Ocean Beach Dental. I don't trust anyone else! read more

I normally have anxiety weeks in advance of my dentist appointments, even for routine cleanings. I think it probably had to do with some terrible experiences as a child and rehabilitated candy fanatic. However, ever since I started going to Ocean Beach Dental, all of the anxiety has disappeared. Dr. Fiddelke and his professional team of Amanda and Crystal are ahhhmaaaazing! They always make me feel at ease as soon as I walk through the door and our the door. All of my visits have been anxiety free, enjoyable and my dental health has never been better! I have since moved up to Dana Point but I still make the drive down as Dr. Fiddelke and his team are truly the only folks that have made going to the Dentist fun. Yesterday was my first visit to a dentist in three years and it went AMAZING. Not often can people say that about going to a doctors office after having been absent due to life and other roadblocks to dental care. Dr. Aaron and Krystal were amazing. I love that they were extremely transparent about every step and what they would like to do to get me back on track for the health of my teeth. Not once did they make me feel bad or scold me for not having been to the doctor (which is what I was fully expecting) they had said some times life just gets in the way and if you aren't in pain things go on the back burner. Most importantly they made me feel comfortable to ask questions and to say if I was uncomfortable with anything throughout my visit.
