So I went to another eye doc, who was a crook. Suddenly I was developing a new eye disease every time I went for a check up. Went back to Chu, only to find out I did not have any of those eye diseases. So, back to Chu, who over time has become very short tempered, impatient and rude. He did my cataract surgery, which went fine. But if I have more than one or two questions he becomes very disagreeable. My distance vision since cataracts has NOT been corrected by glasses using his prescriptions. Last he told me there was nothing he could do and walked out of the room. If there is a vision issue, the doctor should want to find the problem and correct it. He did not. So, no more Dr Chu. Whenever I had an appointment I did not look forward to his moodiness. My experience with Dr. Ephraim was 5-stars across the board! He was timely, there was never any waiting, and it was overall an extremely pleasant, easy process. There was no puff of air (argh! thank goodness), yet he had technology that I've never had used on me from other places that was able to show detailed digital images of my eyes and its cones, etc. He prioritized both the health aspect of my eyes as well as the accuracy and optimization of the prescription which was exactly what I was hoping for. There was no pressure to buy glasses or contacts from them, which I appreciated. Dr. Ephraim was also super-personable and funny, and his staff was efficient and professional. I paid out of pocket because I didn't like the experience I had elsewhere, and it was worth it, but he does take multiple vision insurance providers.
