Our dog turned 10 this year and became sicker than we had ever seen him. Again, Dr. Schwartz dismissed our concerns and prescribed an antibiotic to our dog without even seeing him in person. Because our dog's symptoms were so severe, we chose to get a second opinion and found out that our dog had Stage 4 Spleen Cancer. Because the cancer was detected so late, he could not be saved. Our dog died in our arms this past weekend and our hearts are broken. We will NEVER bring another animal to this clinic again.

It's quiet inside (unless there is another verbal kitty patient). The techs and doctor sit on the cat's level (the floor). They really make them feel comfortable. More than one pet parent can be in the room which is important to us. You can even hold your kitty and take them back to get blood drawn or nails clipped. We never feel rushed or like a number here. I had lost one of my cats who had been a patient there for quite a while and when he passed, I didn't receive a card or anything from the office. Small thing but important for pet owners. A few weeks later my other cat all the sudden couldn't stand on one of her paws and kept falling over so I made a makeshift cast for it to help give it support. I took her to the vets the next day and the vet, I don't remember her name, but she was African American. She asked me if I made that cast and I said yes. She said you did a good job. She then informed me that my cat had Cancer. What? When did this happen? I was of course devastated especially after just losing my other cat just weeks before. She says just take her home. No ideas for care nothing. She hands me the cat back and I say aren't you going to wrap her leg up again to help her stand. She says it doesn't matter anyway. It won't make a difference. The puppies are taken home at night, which I believe is why my dog is so well adjusted and without phobias. He is clearly a dog who has only known happiness and kindness. When they send the dog home with its new family, they set up an appointment after hours so they can carefully explain dog care without interruptions. We also received a package which included a wellness check at a local vet, an in-home training session/safety check, food supply (same as what he was already eating to avoid digestive issues) and other goodies. The store carries a great selection of high quality items--the clothes are irresistible and I always find something I just have to get!
