I'm leaving a review late because I'm still heartbroken about my experience and have seen them pop up on my feed again. I just would like to warn others before they fall for the same thing. I won a free maternity photoshoot from David. This was to include a free photoshoot and 1 free canvas printout. That sounds too good to be true. I was very excited as money was tight before welcoming a new baby, so i bought a dress & paid to get my hair done. We had the photoshoot, which was great. Everything seemed amazing! David and Lina did a great job, so we tipped them very generously. When our photos were ready we set up a viewing time and we were met with a sales pitch during that. To purchase any of the photos we took that day were very expensive, and unaffordable to us at the time. I'm now left with only 1 photo, my free print out, from that day. I was left feeling very embarrassed. So although this isn't technically a scam, it was very shady. I could've chosen a photographer of my own liking and budget and came out paying less and have all my precious memories. I want to add after David's reply that they were not clear and upfront about what the photoshoot included or what the price packages started at. Because if i knew that before i would've chosen a photographer of my own liking. I'm leaving this review to warn others that if you won a "free photoshoot" you will have to spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars to keep those pictures read more

During our engagement sessions we were a little shy since we've never done a couple photo shoot before but they were both so friendly and eased us into the session. I recently was married and had spoke with David about possibly photographing my wedding. I'm in the Bay Area and he was in Southern California and due to my over thinking and nervousness I was a bit hesitant to hire someone who wasn't "local". Where to even begin. I hired David for engagement pictures as well as wedding pictures. I cannot express how much I appreciate the work, effort and knowledge that David put into making my wedding memories look amazing. I found David to be an awesome photographer with a great work ethic. After our first meeting I was very impressed and excited. He asked about what we wanted and gave ideas of his own as well. The engagement shoot went very well. I don't even like taking pictures, but the engagement shoot left me excited and wanting to see the wedding pictures he hadn't even taken yet. On the day of my wedding he showed up promptly at 1 pm; as we had discussed previously and was a huge help when things started going wrong (not any of it on his part). He has a great take charge attitude and wants for nothing more than great pictures and happy people. I recently attended a wedding that David Martin photographed. I was amazed how relaxed and easy going he was. His confidence and the way he communicated with the bridal party and family members was phenomenal. From time to time he would show us images from the back of his camera and we all oooo'd and awwww'd at his pictures. He was able you round up our large and rather rowdy bridal party for the important photos. He made the entire process fun!
