I first came upon Sparks Studios on Instagram and immediately was drawn to the natural lighting, beautiful vibe and esthetic, just everything was so dreamy. Let me first start off by saying, I love me some JEN! The Mr. and I decided to get married, after going back and forth over many ideas, we settled on an intimate ceremony at the courthouse. Now when most people hear courthouse wedding, they envision some cheesy room and two people holding hands wearing jeans and flip flops! No ma'am (sir) that was not what I was doing. In my head I saw a beautiful courthouse, just him & I - dressed to impress and focused on our moment. I did a search online and I finally settled on the Old Orange County Courthouse. I then did a search of courthouse weddings at this location. After going through hundreds of pictures, I found two couples' pictures who I absolutely adored. I investigated further and found that Jen had taken pictures for both! I contacted her via email and she responded to me quickly. Being completely honest, I was thrown off by the cost (which I later realized was reasonable) but I told myself this was an investment and I am happy to say I do not regret our decision. Jen is personable, funny and accommodating. When I arrived at the courthouse a couple of minutes late - she assured me that everything was going to be fine, told me to shake it off, so I could appreciate the reason why we were there. I love our photos! I explained that I wanted them to tell a story - and she captured it! When people see our pictures they understand and respect why we decided to keep this moment to ourselves. Jen is not only an extremely talented photographer, she is also a wonderful person and a joy to be around. I have been secretly stalking her work for quite some time and the opportunity to have our extended family portraits taken finally presented itself, at extremely short notice, of course. She scheduled our session at the most perfect time of day with the "golden hour" glow in full effect and created images that we will cherish forever. A few hours after our session, Jen sent me a "teaser" - it was an outtake of my nephew and I almost died over how cute it was. I think I showed every person I came in contact with that photo for three days straight. I was obsessed. Then we met with Jen the following week to see the rest of our pics. We were in love. If you've seen Jen's work (if not, what are you waiting for?), then you know her images are beautiful and priceless. Then you see pictures she has taken of your own family and you suddenly want them plastered all over the walls of your home. It just doesn't get any better. Now, here is a tip: ORDER THE CANVASES AND WOOD PRINTS! They are incredible. I was kind of indifferent about canvas because I've seen it everywhere and places like Costco have made it look replaceable, for lack of a better word. We had a wonderful experience with Jen Garcia taking my daughter's senior photos at Spark Studio. Jen was upbeat and professional throughout the whole process: from communication and scheduling, to the photo shoot itself, to the turnaround of getting our photos to us.
