Where do I even start!!! I have no words to describe how amazing David and his team was during my sister's wedding. I was given the most difficult job of organizing the wedding here in bay area on a very short notice. I was only given 8 weeks and David came in as the most amazing photographer/ guide. He helped me throughout the process and was so accommodating throughout the finalizing process. And on the actual d-day, he brought in all his charisma and charm. I can't say enough great things about David. We booked a photographer, videographer, and photo booth through David N Sachs. As life would have it, our photographer after booking him needed to handle personal issues, making him no longer able to shoot for our wedding. Life happens and we completely understand! David broke the hard news to me as soon as he could but also led the search for a replacement. He also knew that we booked for a specific photographer and allowed us to look elsewhere if we found someone who was a better match for us than the photographs he found as possible replacements. It's not often that you hear of a company that will let you do this. He really wanted us to have the wedding we wanted, even if that meant less money would go to his company. Ultimately we found an outside photographer but still kept the photo booth + videographers. David was extremely understanding and professional throughout. When it came to our wedding the photo booth attendants were the nicest people we have ever met. Our videographers were professional, on-time, and had a full day of shooting. We did our baby shower shoot and newborn photoshoot with David N Sachs Photography. Kate was our photographer for both. Kate is amazing and very patient! We loved working with her. The only reason that we gave a three star feedback because we were not satisfied with our newborn photoshoot. Baby shower pictures were just amazing and beyond our expectations. For newborn shoot, we decided to do that when the baby was 3 weeks old. After a long drive from Santa Clara to Walnut Creek, we saw that the newborn photoshoot location was in the garage in July heat. Since they were still in process of setting up their new studio in the Walnut Creek downtown. We were not aware about this and personally it was very inconvenient for a new mom(3 weeks postpartum) and the heat was also not helping us. If we were informed before that your studio is located in a garage and it has only one backdrop setup we would have requested you to come over to our place rather than us driving up with the 3 week old baby. Just a suggestion, I feel that if the studio for newborns is well maintained in an area with proper air conditioning, babies would be more comfortable. Garage location was really uncomfortable for me and we looked sweaty in some pictures. I personally did not like the setup for a newborn session. So not very satisfied with the newborn session. Based on our constructive feedback, we were offered another family photoshoot which was to be on the house. It never happened. I reminded them about it 3-4 times and finally gave up. read more

We found David after an exhaustive search of photographers in the area. We had contacted 5-10 other photographers in the area after spending hours scanning wedding websites for good photographers. One of my friends finally recommended David having worked with him before on a photoshoot, and I am so glad she did. From the start, David was very responsive to our emails, questions, and concerns. He set up a time to meet us and discuss what we wanted from our wedding photographer well before the wedding (August 2016). We did end up paying a little extra to get a video of wedding, but think the additional cost was well worth it. David ended up bringing another photographer and videographer for the actual wedding. Before the wedding even began, we had an engagement photo shoot that me and my husband didn't realize we'd want. However, it turned out to be a great opportunity to try out my makeup, see how David works, and get some beautiful photos for my wedding website. During my 2 day wedding, David and another photographer, plus a videographer, were there documenting the event from beginning to end. They even captured a part of the ceremony our preacher accidentally rushed through, but which they knew was important to me and my husband. Overall, David's photos are beautiful, and he does a great job of making the whole experience relaxing and fun. He was very responsive via both phone and email (much more so than some of the other photographers we contacted), and his prices were absolutely reasonable for the great experience. read more

David and Vinh are fantastic! Since I did most of the wedding planning, the hubby did all the reviewing! Read his comments below: David and his partner Vinh clearly know what they're doing. They both wear Bat-belts and cool harness vests holding cameras, lenses, flashes, umbrella-shaped light focusing tools, and so on. They know about sunlight and angles and what type of light will flatter us, what time of day to be where, etc. From a technical standpoint, they immediately set themselves apart from the 96 wedding guests walking around with their phones out, ready to take photos. The pictures came out crazy good, like magazine quality, like the best we've ever looked, like we want to blow these photos up and hang them above the mantle, like that good! However, their cool tools are probably the same as everyone else who does this. And the quality photos were only apparent after our wedding day. So... how did we know we loved them before we got the photos? David took over an hour to talk to the two of us about our wants and needs before we'd even chosen him. Vinh helped me tie my tie in a cool new way I'd never seen before. David had an endless amount of cool, silly, flattering poses for us and our guests When I was nervous and flustered before the wedding even began, Vinh chit chatted with me about Jess (wife), how we met, what we were like as a couple, etc. I thought he was just being polite because he could see I was nervous, but, after working with him, I think he likes to get to know the couples in order to take more authentic photos. David and Vinh both are masters at candid photos, but are also so fun and silly, that the posed photos feel natural. The two of them made us laugh so hard, we didn't need to try and smile for our photos. Halfway through the wedding, we took a break to do a beach (cliff) photo shoot. It was freezing and windy and Jess and I wanted to be eating or dancing with our friends. That said, because of David and Vinh, the shoot ended up being one of the best parts of our entire wedding! On the way back from the photo shoot, David caught the sight of an amazing sunset view and pulled over immediately, encouraging to walk through a random meadow in our wedding clothes. The pictures were amazing!! And we got a true sense of David's artistic eye and his commitment to going above and beyond for our special day. When we renew our vows 50 years from now, we'll only accept 80-year-old David and Vinh as our photographers! read more

I would highly recommend David N. Sach to everyone. They did such a phenomenal job with our videos and photos, that I cannot thank them enough. I know, after the wedding, one of the most important thing that a bride and groom needs to look into is their photographer and videographer. That is the only thing besides your memory that lasts from that day until forever. My first meeting with him was when we were looking for options of location for our pre wedding shoot. He gave us great ideas about the location and had a unique concept in mind. He would always go out of his way to help us and made sure everything was satisfactory. All of last minute requests were accommodated happily. For example, the night before our Sanger, we requested he bring a photo book of our pre wedding shoot for people to sign and look at. We found David through a bridal show in San Francisco. Right away, we loved how personable and approachable he was; he went into plenty of detail about his working style, how he liked to find his shots, and what we would be able to request from him on our wedding day. We scheduled an engagement photo shoot up in Tilden Park in Berkeley, and we had a great experience; we're not typically the most bombastic couple, but he really helped us get comfortable and get some great photos. After we saw how the engagement shoot came out, we were very excited to work with him on the wedding. He came with us to our walkthrough of the venue and made sure to get a sense of how the space was laid out and what kind of shots he would get. On our wedding day, he used two separate teams: one to capture the bride getting ready and one for the groom. Both teams were very professional and showed up right on time. They stayed out of the way while we were getting ready, but made sure to introduce themselves to the wedding party so everybody was familiar with them. They got a ton of great shots while we were setting everything up. During the ceremony, they were unobtrusive as could be, but they still knew exactly where to go and got some amazing footage, both still and video. After the ceremony was over, they did a fantastic job getting photos of all of our family members while keeping us on schedule. They took some unbelievable photos of us by ourselves after everybody went to the reception. At the reception itself, they got all kinds of pictures of everyone dancing, as well as some terrific shots of our live band. David was very responsive throughout the whole editing process and fielded a bunch of requests from us as we tweaked the album layout and asked for some photos to be cropped or touched up. David N Sachs truly went above and beyond for our summer wedding in Napa. They were able to incorporate all of our visions and add elements of their unique perspectives to truly elevate every photograph into a work of art. The most important thing to my husband and me was there to be less focus on "staged" photos and more of an effort to capture the truly organic moments and natural memories as they happened at our wedding. The team was able to go above and beyond in making this happen- every photo captured takes me back to our special day and gives me glimpses of moments that I cherished and moments that I couldn't physically be there to experience with my family and friends! It left me feeling like I didn't miss anything at all. For those who say your wedding is "all a blur", that is simply not true with this team; they allow you to re-experience every special moment with new light and new meaning.  Every photograph was tastefully done, with excellent composition, lighting and quality. Everyone raves about the bright and vibrant colors of an Indian wedding in our photos in the backdrop and beautiful light and landscape of Napa.  The whole team was endlessly accommodating for the bride and groom, there was always someone around when you needed them. They were all fabulous and energetic, and felt like family at the wedding.  One of my favorite memories was telling David that I wish I was able to spend more time with My fiancé in the midst of all the parties and craziness the day before the wedding - I was really missing him. David then sneakily staged a photo op, and convinced us both to step away from our obligations for a few pictures. When we got to the spot, David said "actually we're not taking any pictures right now, this is for just the two of you to have a moment together", and he left us alone! It was one the rare moments of peace we had at our wedding weekend and it was all because David listened to a small detail- and him and his team did just this the whole weekend! David was full of welcome surprises. I wont forget when he came back with my engagement ring and showed me an incredibly photo he snapped of my ring sitting a birds nest with a newly laid egg he found in the woods! If I could give David more than 5 stars I would! He was our photographer for our wedding. My husband and I are both in the military, working out of state, and have limited time schedules. David was very understanding of this! He worked with our schedules and met with us a few weeks before the wedding to really get to know us, find out what kind of shots we wanted etc. He was very personable! He gave us warm fuzzies to begin with, even with all the wedding planning that was going on, I didn't have to worry about David being our photographer. On the day of our wedding, he made it happen! He and his family (his mother and brother came and shot as well! captured all of the memories that I wanted from our wedding. Our guests loved him too! Not the fact that he was a good photographer, but because he was also making the guests laugh and capturing those moments as well. David shot the entire wedding from the beginning, when we were getting ready, to the end, when everyone was heading home. His awesomeness didn't stop there! My husband and I only had a few more days in California before we had to go back. David rushed on editing a few photos to present to us and they were beautiful!!!! Normally, it would take a couple of weeks or so to meet with the newly weds because there are so many photos that need to be edited, but he made it work for us! We could not have asked for a better photographer. We are still working with David to get all of the photos that we really really liked (too bad I can't like them all since they all came out great, that would be too much work for poor David), have them edited, and also have a physical album created.
