Had the most satisfying experience with this store. An online order was not showing shipped so I called the store not even sure this would be the way to go about tracking it down. Not only was it resolved within minutes but the owner himself helped me on the phone, took responsibility for the goof, sent it out for next day delivery and offered to help throughout the process. Went out to find a specific shoe. I have some pretty serious foot issues so I knew the best thing to do was go to David Parker shoes. Mrs. Parker greeted us while she was working with two other customers we looked briefly and she was asking us while she finished with her other customers. Return policy is quite ridiculous. Granted I should have read the sign (absolutely no refunds given).... I still think it's absurd. Once you purchase and leave the store you are screwed. I'm a fan of independent business, and David Parker is an example of why. Was in need of a color of dress shoe I didn't have, went to the mall 10 minutes before opening time and the security gate of DPS was open, that was the fist sign that I was dealing with an owner. I had what I wanted in mind and upon trying them on had some issues with how the leather "broke" or creased with stride, David answered my questions and i made the purchase. One thing that was evident here was the availability of models and sizes, I would have bought the same shoe at Dillards the day before but they didn't have my size in the leather color I needed. These were Ecco shoes and he seemed to be well stocked in the floor models. Same with Merrill, I hadn't seen as wide a range of choices at any other store. I had mentioned needing to get another pair of Merrills but not today, as I was checking out, David gave me a photo copy of a $20 off coupon for the next visit. Making decisions on the fly to establish and retain new customers; if big box stores had that flexibility they'd bump the bottom line 15% a year. David Parker Shoes is an example of why supporting locally owned businesses is not only good for the local economy, but when the right people are at the helm, good for the quality outcome you want when you need something. I strongly advise trying DPS before going to a discount or big box store in Franklin. read more

I have purchased no less than 15 pairs of shoes at David Parker over the past 7 years. They are a bit more expensive but I thought the customer service and quality merchandise was worth it. The customer service is pretty good when you are buying shoes, not so great when there is a problem. My husband was given a pair of Birkenstock sandals last Christmas. He started wearing them in April and by July they fell apart. He also bought me a pair in June. At no time while purchasing either pair of shoes was it mentioned that they needed a special sealant or the cork falls apart. I guess everyone else already knew this, we did not. The staff was close minded and dismissive about the whole matter. They did not offer so much as a coupon or a discount on a replacement pair. Tough luck and see ya later. If they are not going to stand behind the products they sell, they could at least take a moment to educate. David Parker did neither. Very disappointing. read more

Fantastic family friendly service with cute dogs in the back. It was odd seeing family photos around but cool at the same time. The selection of shoes was absolutely astounding if you enjoy well made work type leather shoes for ladies and men. The did carry sandals and have a clearance section. Well organized and clean I felt like I was at a clean friends house. They offered shoes from $30-$300 . Some were handmade and some were just cool. Return policy is not comparable to most shoe stores and ridiculous although obviously stated on their receipt (15days). They do not refund, only exchange or provide in store credit. The customer service I was just provided makes me never even want to enter their store again. I received shoes from this store as a gift that didn't work out well for me, the arch was too high. I wore the shoes in my home two times and was told they were worn and unable to be returned. They person there suggested I sell them on eBay. I am really disappointed in this local business and will recommend you use caution when shopping. They treated me rudely and this was my first experience, I won't be back. Not happy with my expensive purchase. Spent over 200 dollars for a pair of shoes that had a Velcro strap. Strap broke within a month and I brought them back. Rather than offer me a new pair of shoes and apologize, they said they would fix the strap. Well they did, and it looked AWFUL. Be careful if you purchased from this store. They tell you that you can build up reward dollars BUT what they do not tell you is that it can only be used on FULL price items. Ann Taylor reward dollars can be spent on anything. ALSO, beware of purchasing any shoes and bring them back. I bought a pair of shoes to wear at home to make sure they did not hurt my bunions but they did so I returned them within 4 days of purchase. They would only give me a store credit!! I plan to use this credit and then never go back again. You can get the same type of shoes in a more customer friendly place. read more

I shopped here once and felt this way, then unfortunately my husband bought me a pair of boots here as a gift unaware of my dislike of the store and the employees. Do Not Shop at David Parker Shoes. Tried to use $20.00 Black Friday Coupon. Coupon did not state any restrictions, when I went to pay and use the coupon I was then informed I could not use toward my purchase. Tried to return item purchased 4 days earlier because I found other style of shoe they did not carry and could not get and I found at a different location.They would not return, only give a store credit....but, Mr. David Parker said to me, "I want you to have what you want."
