I paid thousands for a shallow well system that never worked from day one. The pump leaked and released steam like it was overheating. For over 3 months, three technicians and the owner came out. Nothing was fixed. I was repeatedly promised callbacks and repairs that never happened. Because the system failed, my grass died and I had to pay two electricians and an irrigation specialist out of pocket. I ultimately had to reconnect city water just to stop further damage. I gave David Pruitt over $6000 in October 2025 with the understanding the well would be started in 60-120 days. After that I requested to cancel the well and receive my money back. I have called him, texted him and emailed him with no results or communication. He has now had my deposit for 7 months and there has been no refund and no well. I even went by the address he has for the business and couldn't find it. I am very disappointed because I trusted the reviews, which are mostly very good. read more

Still waiting to have my situation resolved. I paid 2700-3000 for a new well only to have the system not work. I was told I had silt and that was clogging my irrigation system. I was told new sleeves were ordered but it's been 10 months since I had the work started. But I have left messages for David to please come and reconnect the pump because at least I was able to use the water and attach to my hose. I have not received any phone calls back nor has my request to reconnect my pump been fulfilled. I essentially wasted the money that I spent and have no water from my well at this time. I'm very disappointed. I haven't even gone into how I was accused by worker Alan that I must have did something to the system to get it to not work because according to Alan everything was working properly. Interesting how when David came to assess, he states it was duly so obviously it was NOT user error. Irrigation pump repair was a few days late due to more pressing problems faced by the company. Communication was there daily and my job was finally completed while I was on vacation. The job was worth a few hundred to Me Yet due to the delay the owner wouldn't take any money. He appreciated my patience and that's something you Rarely get today. I call and Dave Pruitt and I explain what I need is a shallow well 20 to 25" deep. We make an appointment and he doesn't show. Dave says he is on an emergency job and he must finish it first. Ok guess he was on a job no problem. Day later he shows up for the estimate. We argued just a bit he wanted to go all out with electric pump this and that my wife and I said no we can not afford all that we just want the hand pump on the top. Seemed to be a bit annoyed but he gave us the estimate and we wrote the check for half the amount like he asked and I signed his phone terms and agreement with my finger. I couldn't read hardly anything on his small phone and it seemed like it was only a Terms of Agreement. I hand him the check after my wife writes it out and he said he is going to email me the invoice. So he doesn't show up after promising he is on his way. Each time I called it was a different reason. Next day he comes to drop off the trailer in my driveway saying his guys will be over soon. They never show up that day.  Next day two men show up without David and I shouldn't judge people because I'm not that well off myself but I could swear these two guys are older homeless men and with cigarettes hanging out of there mouths they didn't appear to have the stamina to be drilling wells. So I offer Scott and Brian coffee and I show them a room  where there is a bathroom and a refrigerator of cold bottle waters. Temperature outside was cool for Florida, cloudy, shady, perfect day to drill a well! They bring around to the back a big blue tub and a big pressure washer pump that hey never use! They never hook it up and start it. It just made the yard look like a well drilling job site and it sat there in silence the entire time. The big blue pale was use to rinse off dirt off the big pipe wrench and they rinse their hands off in it. Well fail attempt number one: 57 inches deep (less than 5 feet) Anyway they attach the steel or metal outer casing I think it's called and start twisting back and forth by hand using my garden hose. Holy crud I was like wait I could of just did that I was thinking for the money at least some kind of machine or power tool. Nothing, just silent back and forth just like I did to get 20' with my PVC. Oh well I guess as long as I get my well pump. 10 minutes later he stops!! 57" and put the pump head on and primes and gets sandy muck. They both try hard to pump water! I'm like what? is this a joke they were serious they were going to leave me with a shallow well of 57 inches? The murky mud was so bad they call Dave and tell him "WE tried to dig the well but no luck it's mud. Dave says move over 6 feet and try again. So we are going to dig another well for you about 6 feet over. I was thinking what do you mean ANOTHER well! I say you guys must get this down between 20 and 25 feet! So they just look at one another like we are not going to dig that far are we? I'm thinking at this point I have a stomach ache because I am getting a bad feeling. The guys tell me in this area it's shallow well. (What ever that meant) Well Fail attempt number two: 17' Deep. So they are down at 17' but on a 10-15 degree angle. (Not vertically straight. They were tired and pulling on the pipe they made it not go down straight. Now at this 2nd attempt they get the garden hose stuck. The guy looks at me and says he pushed the hose passed the pipe and now it's stuck. They tried and tried but could not get it UN-stuck. They get a big block and a huge pipe with a chain to pull out the casing. All of the pipe had to come out of the ground all 3 of the 5' sections. Now they are both tired and out of steam. They call Dave and lie about how far down they went. They tried to say over 20 feet and that was not true. Dave said put it back together and show him you are down that far. Well we all knew that after they put the casing back in the hole it was no where near what they said. So they twisted back an forth for a few more minutes using a big pipe wrench (still no power motors or pressure washer) just hose, and so they finally burned out only after a few minutes and quit hand drilling, they light up a cigarette and call David again. Calling Dave in private on the side of the house. They pull out the casing and show me clay in the pipe. But you never went down passed 20 feet it was actually 17' but they told me 21 feet. Not true. And why not bring it down to the 25'? Now I am upset. I call Dave. he says leave them alone and let them finish their job.  "I am on my way now" Their job was to pack it up! Dave was never there on the job at all. After the trailer was packed he comes to hook up to it and give me the news.  The bad news from Dave: Pay me $15,000 for a deep well. :( read more

We needed a shallow well for irrigation. Another company came out and drilled 12 feet and said they hit clay so a shallow well wouldn't work. They said we needed a deep well. I called David Pruitt about a deep well. He saw there were permits in my area for shallow wells, so said he could try to drill for a shallow well before a deep well. At 20 feet, his employee said there was still clay and wasn't sure if they could get water - but the employee called David. David came out and kept drilling. At 23 feet, David hit water. They set up the new well and pump within 5 days of that initial appointment (hooking everything up to our existing sprinkler system). They worked all day, were very professional and communicated their status any time they needed to stop for the day. He also charged the exact amount he initial quoted; he didn't add on any other fees or charges. AND, he let us know we had an issue with a sprinkler head that was installed by another company previously. So we were able to get that fixed. It was a great experience overall!!
