I had been living in L.A. for about 8 months and been procrastinating on establishing with an Internist. I was coming out of my 4th and final week of bronchitis. I had been coughing nonstop. Towards the end of my bronchitis, a pain started hurting in my chest. I thought a massage or massage therapist would be able to help/treat the situation. The advice from the massage therapist was "go see a doctor!". My mysterious pain was really intense and I had one more day before returning to work on Monday. I decided to see if I could find a decent internist ASAP who would be able to at least see me the next day. I did a google search and found several doctors who did not have appointments available for weeks. Dr. Ramin was available, but the reviews were not all that inspiring. I decided to take a chance, and was able to make an appointment for the same day! I am so glad that I did. I was taken immediately at my appointment time, consulted with, and on my way to the pharmacy. Dr. Ramin was very friendly and thorough. My personal information had already been entered in their database, before he came in and saw me and then we reviewed my information and refined it together. I did not have to worry about losing any prescriptions, since he just sent my prescriptions directly to my neighborhood pharmacy. Procrastination no longer! I am now established with an internist that I feel good about and trust. read more

The office staff are friendly and helpful as well. Possibly the worst doctor I've ever encountered. - Scheduled 1st apt of the day, and waited in the waiting room for an hour after apt time. - Waited another 30 minutes before Dr. R came in. - he then clicked around on the computer for a little while, not even making eye contact - Didnt listen to my concerns - wrote me a Rx for something I didn't need or relate to my issue - Took a personal call while in the room - Told me to lose weight, and left the room. I'm sure he's a great doctor but I was put off by the fact that he only accepts cash, at least that is what I was told when making the appointment. I have a high deductible insurance plan and I'm fine paying out of pocket but was put off by "it's going to be $250 dollars for your initial consult and we prefer cash" The day of my appointment, I called to let them know my debit card was giving me issues at the ATM so I would be bringing a checkbook and/or credit card and I hope that wouldn't be an issue and the receptionist just kept saying, "it's better if you bring cash" and I was very put off by the entire thing so I cancelled my appointment. I would think that a Beverly Hills doctor would take my debit, credit card, or a money market check. Just ridiculous. read more

Absolutely the worst service by Sabrina and Reda. I'm an RN and tried to update the MD office on some major changes on a patient recently. They refused to take a message and relay it to the MD. They said they were on lunch from 1pm to 4pm and to call back then. Thankfully my patient wasn't having a medical crisis. Their words, not mine. I hope no one has to deal with people like this in healthcare. It's unacceptable. Dr. Ramin may be an excellent doctor but his staff are substandard. read more

Terrible care! Makes you come in for appointments unnecessarily so he can charge for the visit. This happened to me twice when all I needed was a prescription refill. He talks in circles, but never really tells you what's going on. He tries to be your best friend, but then doesn't follow through on sending you the info you need or sending your referral appointments. He's terrible. This guy is like a sleezy car salesman. Worst doctor I've ever been too. I waited over an hour to see him. He came in and wrote nothing down. All he did was check the computer for my records at cedars sinai and refilled my prescriptions. Then I was sent to the lab for blood test. After over a week I still do not have my results. I have called the office 3 times and the doctor will not call me with my results. Horrible doctor. Dr. Ramin is our family doctor and we feel like he is family. He truly cares about our well-being and is an exceptionally informed doctor. The doctor gets called away on occasion to the hospital where he takes care of emergent patients, so I guess the reviews that says he comes in whenever he wants are from people that forget the doc doesn't just deal with your common cold. The staff is great and a shout out to Bri is in order for putting up with us...lol. Yes, this is a busy office, so you may have to wait a second when you call in, or when you go to the desk. Where do I even begin ... Doctor is nice , however always late for his appointments . Does his job so I can't say much about him. But the reason I wouldn't recommend this place is because even when you pay your co pay to them , they will keep mailing you letters to pay . And every time you'll call they will apologize and see that you have paid . Extremely unorganized staff that works there . Save yourself time , and find another doctor . Not happy with this doctor. I have ballooned to 230 pounds and am experiencing all the symptoms of hypothyroidism. After viewing my blood panel results, although I fall in the "normal" range, low but normal yet everything else in my blood work indicates there is something wrong with my thyroid, he dismissed it. He even dismissed the fact that I had trouble with my thyroid in the past. He doesn't listen to me about how my body is feeling which is every indication that there is something wrong. All he is concerned about is my weight, which I told him I've tried losing but my body won't bulge. He decides to prescribe Metformin which is for diabetics to aid in my weight loss. WHAT?! After sitting there for an hour, he listens to me for 5 minutes, makes a quick diagnosis and leaves. Oh by the way, thank God, I decided to ask about my results because he couldn't be bothered. I found out the lab discovered bits of blood in my urine. He was so cavalier about it all and told me, after a month we'll just do another Urine sample. RUN DO NOT WALK, RUN to another doctor. He favors his patients who are of his ethnicity and even went so far as to validate this one gentle man's parking. He did nothing for me. read more

Unprofessional staff and the doctor makes you wait a long time and barely looks at you.

I love this man. He has taken such good care of me for almost 15 years, and my 93 year old mother before that, I am so grateful to him for being so compassionate and knowledgeable. I have only one complaint, he's so busy! That's because he's so good. He is getting more help with returning calls, etc. But no matter if that irritates me, I would never leave him. Dr. Ramin is a fabulous doctor. He is kind, very patient, never rushes you, and really listens to what you say. He is totally professional and very concerned about your continued good health. He also has a person drawing blood in his office and you do not have to go to a lab for it- like another reviewer said.. He has referred us to several specialists for certain reasons and everyone of of his referrals has been of the highest quality. He is highly regarded in internal medicine and is a great diagnostician of what is going on with you. Dr. Ramin takes exceptionally good care of us. He calls or texts us back immediately,, and somehow memorizes what is going on with each of his patients. I have never had to wait to see him more than 10 min. in his waiting room. The other incredible thing about Dr. Ramin is that he is always available to you as a patient. Even if you must speak with him on a weekend or after hours, he calls you back. I was sent to Dr. Ramin by Dr. Pennenberg prior to a hip replacement. He discovered that I had stage 4 colon cancer. This was in 2014. He was instrumental in getting to the heart of the matter quickly ... and put together the most incredible team of doctors and surgeons. I believe I am alive today thanks to his diligence, kindness and his ability to send me to the perfect people to get me through the treatment. I eventually did get my hip replaced.
