Definitely will come back - for once my hair trim was authentically only an inch off. For years I was going to all these other salons that chopped way too much off and gave me uneven haircutt. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. The owner is arrogant and rude and even though made a HUGE mistake , refuses to make it right a he thinks he has 'enough' good reviews. Why support a business that tells people they don't matter??! I saw the reviews, so I went and it is misleading as the woman ANNA who cut my hair did a HORRIBLE job. she supposedly has been cutting hair for 40 Years!! I asked for a bob and one side is hacked off! Both sides do not match at all! I tried to work it out with the owner but he refuses to make it right though he admits she did a horrible job! Now I have to wait weeks for it to grow out! He was arrogant and rude to me saying it was my fault when any professional will admit the cuts are no even done properly, especially after have 40 years experience?! She wisped my hair !! There are no wisps in a bob style cut!! I told her to cut less and we can cut more later, but she DID NOT LISTEN. David actually had the nerve to say it was my fault (when I asked for a refund, which I deserve) because I "moved away" from her, which is NOT true and is still her fault. what professional hair cuts someones hair when they are supposedly moving? This was not just one bad cut with the scissors, the whole side is uneven and doesn't blend well. She was the one with the scissors. Also the smocks they used were dirty and filled with someone strangers hair. I came here to get my hair done and was really happy with my experience. Sarah did a great job cutting and styling my hair. All of the employees were really friendly and this was a great environment to get my hair cut in. I will definitely go back to see her again. They provide customers with a great experience from the ambiance and atmosphere, to the bubbly and fun attitudes of the employees. David has been working with me for over 20yrs. longest relationship i have ever had LOL he is excellent with colour as i have been every colour but black. He refuses to ruin my hair. He has seen me through my short years and long... each time he cuts when i grow out the style it is still a great cut. he listens and inspires .... sorry to hear Marni had a bad experience..... he can get distracted but over time you learn to bring him back to centre. read more

I recently had my hair cut by David Scott the owner of the salon. This is the worst haircut I have ever had mainly because David did not listen to what I was saying or what I asked for. I brought a picture to give him an idea of the haircut I wanted (a long bob) and as well explained in detail how I would like it cut. My hair turned out nothing like the picture or what I described. Firstly we talked about how many layers I wanted, I said two layers the second one very long, he put in three layers the top layer very short on my head. The extra layer makes my hair look choppy and like a boy, which is why I only asked for two. Secondly I have curly hair and told him this and warned that he couldn't cut against the curl or it wouldn't fall nicely when it dried. I said this a couple times but he still managed to cut against the curl and ruin the way my hair falls naturally. He also cut it shorter than I wanted which now means it will take months to grow out. I would not recommend David Scott as I believe he cuts your hair how he wants to and has a very outdated style. read more

I went there for a colour and he messed up my hair so badly, wouldnt give me a refund, and I had to spend $300 getting it fixed (after he charged me another $300 for the colour btw). Such a scam and only cares about money, not the customer. Not to mention he is rude beyond belief. read more

Two years ago on Christmas Eve I went to David when he was in the salon across the street from his new salon. I had fun with him. David Scott took me from red to blonde that night!! However, recently I noticed since he has his new salon he is all over the place, never focused on you. Always moving around. Recently, I went to get my hair done and only until I got home did I notice I had a gold Mohawk and silver everywhere else. In his lighting it did not look like what I saw when I got home. I was mortified to say the least!! I went back but not before David wanted me to see Z, his assistant who has no colour experience whatsoever!!! I said I started with you and I am only seeing you. He was a little cold and not as talkative as usual. He knew I was not happy. He had his other colorist Sarah do the mixing and I have nothing against her, she has to put up with a lot!! However, once everything was done I was sitting in the chair and again noticed the colour was not right, This time I had silver, blonde and purple, which I was told will oxidize in 8 hours....24 hours later still purple!! I text him to share my displeasure. He told me he could have Z his assistant look after me. After I have told him a number of times I started with you and expect to only see you. He then text me to say and I quote " if you are not happy with my work maybe it's time for you to go elsewhere". I was dumbfounded!!!! Who does that? He is the owner of a new business and would think that is the last thing you would do. David did not want to admit he made a mistake twice...costly one for me. So I took his advice and went elsewhere where I had gone prior to meeting David which was Fiorio's!! I had an amazing stylist and colorist who both saw my hair and could not believe the colours woven in and the treatment from the owner. He lost myself as a client and now my mom and sister. read more

So I decided to check this place out after a friend of mine told me about it. It's new in our neighborhood and I was looking for a new place. I called, spoke to David. He was really nice. And said he'd personally take care of me. When I arrived to my appointment he was friendly. Greeted me and my dog Sophie at the door. Kept telling my pooch how cute she was. Told him I want a colour. Brown. Hark chestnut. The entire staff is super friendly and sweet. I told him I don't want anything close to reddish orange or coppery. David assured me my hair will turn out exactly how I described. I told him I was going to a party later in the evening, please make sure there is no colour on the sides of my face. Was super sweet to my dog through the application of the colour. We chit chatted. I asked how business was. If he was busy on Saturday (Christmas Eve). He said no - said he was surprised Saturday is not booked. Made me coffee and gave my dog treats. All went well until after he washed my hair. As soon as he took the towel off I knew I was not going to like it. He towel tried. He asked me how I liked. I told him I can already tell I am not going to like it as I can see orange and red tones. David's demeanor got defensive, and strange. He blow dried my hair aggressively and he didn't blow dry the back properly. As we got up I told him I am not happy. I need to book an appointment to fix.. He took me over to another mirror to see under difference lighting. Told him nope. Gotta change it. He got very defensive. Now he told me he is completely booked on Saturday. Told me it looks great. There is nothing wrong with it. Told me to ask my sisters at Christmas dinner. Then said the colour will settle a bit and change. I was like what the crack? Told him it doesn't matter what my sisters think, I should be comfortable. Kind of rushed me out. As I left said call him next week and let him know how it goes? When I got home I looked at my hair and it was worse than I thought. Red orange, yuck - I was not happy. Also, the dye was all over the frame of my face. He knew I was going out. Who does that? The owner himself. I called. One of the nice women answered the phone. Expressed my concerns. She put me on hold - to consult with him. She said he is booked and that one of the girls can fix on Saturday at 12:30pm. I said sure. When Saturday arrived I was running errands I walked by the salon three times and saw David sitting in one of the chairs day dreaming. He did not even acknowledge me walking in. Didn't say hello or anything. I was at the salon with my dog for about 2.5 hours, it's like I was invisible. And he ignored my dog the entire time too. After the colour was washed out, the assistant told me I will have to pay if I want a blow dry. I was like...what the crack? I understand mistakes happen. I am a rational and logical person but the way David handled this completely turned me off of ever going back. When I told him I was not happy, he could have just said 'ok, I want my clients to be happy ' and fixed it...or said I will fix it on Saturday (since when we were chatting he told me he was pretty open and when I expressed how I was not happy with the colour and all of a sudden he was booked solid?).....Or when I arrived to fix the colour on Saturday he could of at least said hello. I mean it's his salon!! The owner. And it was Christmas eve. I don't write reviews often (think this is my second time). But I had to write this one. Mostly because I am shocked that the owner would completely ignore a client who is sitting in a chair in his salon for 2.5 hours. I moved from downtown 6 years ago and still make the trek to see David. I would recommend him to anyone - he is a great stylist, however if you have fine hair you need to go. People with thick hair can get away with piecey chunky foils and okay cuts. But if you have fine hair and want natural looking highlights it takes a ton of very tiny evenly woven, right to the root foils and David is amazing at this. - If you go to him you will be hooked forever. read more

Went there for full highlights and a cut last weekend (treat yo self) after purchasing a groupon. My stylist (I believe her name was Sarah?) was so friendly and welcoming. Hair salons can be very scary especially if you're emotionally attached to your hair like I am. She was very accommodating and informative. I had previously bleached my hair resulting in a lot of damage and dry ends. Despite all this, my hair turned out amazing and is silky smooth.
