Another nearby dentist's office did a horrible job bonding one of my front teeth- the bonding ended up breaking off within hours, and it looked terrible. I was horrified and embarrassed, and did not want to return to that dental practice to get it fixed after what a terrible job they did. Frechtman Family Dental squeezed me into their schedule at the last minute, first thing in the morning the DAY BEFORE Thanksgiving to fix my tooth so I didn't have to go too long with my tooth broken. Dr Frechtman did an amazing job, and my fixed tooth looks great! I am forever grateful. My second visit was earlier today for a routine exam/cleaning, and again, I was very happy with my visit. Everyone who works there is so kind, helpful, and welcoming. The office is very clean and neat, has a very relaxing/calming atmosphere, and is of course following COVID protocols. My exam/cleaning was thorough and painless, and I was given a lot of helpful information. Everything was perfect. I wish I could go for exams/cleanings more than twice a year, that's how great it was. I have recommended this place to family and friends, and I will not go anywhere else! They all really seem to understand that my anxiety and my fear ate the real deal. He lets me know that he will do everything possible to alleviate this ptsd that I have . The staff, especially Pat, helps me make appointments and constantly reassures me that I'll be taken care of. I do not recommend Dr. D'apolito at all. I made an appointment with "Melissa" who works in his…read moreoffice and I explained at that time that I wanted a cleaning. She was lovely and professional. She relayed that the Dr, D'apolito would want to examine me before he did the cleaning. I agreed as long as I would not be required to take x-rays. (I explained that I cared for a close relative who died from a brain tumor so I avoid x-rays when ever possible.) I did, however, have a full set of x-rays sent over from my former dentist who had retired. Melissa stated that she would note on my chart that I would not be required to have x-rays. When I arrived at the appointment, Dr. D'apolito began his examination. I must add at this point that although he advertises himself as "Gentle Dentistry," he was quite rough pushing my head from side to side and stretching my lips. I have had other oral exams that were done with much more gentleness. Then Dr. D'apolito diagnosed me as needing an implant replaced and two root canals re-done. I told him that I was not experiencing any discomfort at all and would like to think about his suggestions. I was polite and courteous. When the exam was over, I returned to Melissa's desk in order to schedule the cleaning. It was then that I was told that Dr. D'apolito would not do the cleaning unless I had x-rays taken so he could address the other work he advised that I needed! I was stunned! I told Melissa that I was clear when I made the appointment that I did not want x-rays. I stated that I needed to think about the other work that the doctor wanted to do; but my purpose on that day was to schedule a cleaning. Melissa stated that the Dr. D'apolito would not do the cleaning and then told me my fee for the day. I replied (very respectfully) that I felt that I had been misled. I had been clear when I scheduled the appointment that I wanted a cleaning. So from the backroom, Dr. D'apolito shouted, "Let her leave!" Wow. I guess he was angry because I was not yet a big paycheck for him. It's clear to me that Dr. D'apolito 's main interest is his wallet and not his patient's well-being. Ironically, I probably would have had the other work done but at that point, I no longer trusted him. He is more a mercenary than a physician.

The scheduling to get anything done is months out. Do not go to this doctor instead go to Diamond Braces in Edison and you will be way happier. They even accept walk ins. Where as at this place since the doctor over charges, he is away on vacation most of the time and there is no appointment. They do not answer the phone, they do not call you back.
