A friendly appointment reminder is fine. But during business hours, I can't prioritize responding to my dentist's receptionist over my own job. Starting as early as six weeks before each prepaid, nonrefundable cleaning, a Shakespearean drama would begin to unfold with the office staff, despite my continued clarity regarding unnecessary communication. After 5 years of repeatedly requesting that they respect my time and privacy (and never missing an appointment,) I finally texted back and told the staff that their business practices are "obnoxious." I stand by it.

In my experience, they will offer a lowball proposal to get you to have the work done then send you a large bill weeks afterward. I had an exam then, while still sitting in the dental chair, was presented with a plan for dental work along with what each part would cost, how much insurance would pay, and how much I would be responsible for paying. After the work was done I paid the agreed amount. A month later I received a bill for 150% more than amount I had already paid. This is clearly price gouging, and there are laws against this in other industries such as auto repair. I called to inquire about the discrepancy. The girl blamed it on insurance. I have had the same insurance for 10 years and never had this problem. To her credit, she made her snooty little rude condescending comments with a nice very fake chipper tone. She said she "can't estimate a bill down to the dollar." As smart as she thinks she is, it sure seems like she could get within $300 though. I was quoted $250 out of pocket for the dental work. Altogether I was billed $675. I recommend finding a dentist who will give you a straight answer and bill you fairly.

I'm sorry, but that is your job and never in the history of a Dentist have I ever been asked to match my own tooth shade.. i've also always had an issue with the cleanliness of the office like it's covered in cobwebs. I'm one of those people that if you don't clean your ceilings and I'm reclined looking at the ceilings. I'm gonna notice it's dirty . the staff has a pretty high turnaround it's never the same people there's only one hygienist and the doctor and the one billing girl thats ever been consistent but frequently it's a new staff when I come in for my six month. I don't know if I'd recommend her, but I don't think I would not recommend her... I'd say it's more of a staff issue not her as a dentist. I'm looking for a new Dentist so I would say avoid this one if you don't feel like changing again

I've had one cavity filled there and it was super quick and painless. Usually after getting cavities filled at other dentist offices, it takes awhile to get the filling filed down just right. Dr. Songstad got it right away and I didn't even notice the filling was there. I also never have to wait long in the waiting room before my appointments, which I really appreciate. Everyone in the office is super efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!

Every step of the process was seamless and well managed. His team was incredibly nice, efficient, and knowledgeable - they even offered to pick me up from the airport when I came for my first appointment and gave me restaurant/hotel recommendations (I flew into Nashville for his services)! He was able to conduct my consult virtually and made me feel at ease in every part of the process.
