A great selection of bagels, cream cheeses, and salads. The chicken salad is one of my favorites but it is a little pricey.

Every time I go to David's it's usually busy but there are so many people working behind the counter you never have to worry about anything but stellar service. You won't find better bagels or coffee anywhere else. The bagels are made fresh everyday. Your order is taken within minutes even if there's a long line. The David's Bagel's in Pomona is absolutely the best. They're attentive and always get your order right. The food items offered on the menu board are prepared phenomenally and I always enjoy my visit for a bagel and what ever else I'm in the mood for. However, I will never go to the one in New City ever again. The young people that work there don't ever listen to what the customer is asking for, and ten out of ten times I've been there, I've always had to make them open the bag to make sure they got my order right which has never happened. I don't know how the New City location or the others make any money with the staff throwing away the wrong orders they prepare after the customer makes them do it over again the right way. I sincerely hope that this issue get's handled, because I have yet to experience someone that actually pays attention to what I am asking for. I'm not looking for any freebee's, all I want is my order filled the way I ask for it according to what is offered from the menu board. Example: A customer asks for a cinnamon raison bagel lightly toasted with Chive & Onion Cream Cheese with a light coffee and 1/Equal packet. The order that is put into the bag is a sesame bagel with regular cream cheese spread, not even toasted, and a regular coffee with no sugar. Pomona, NY is the only one worth traveling to, and I will remain only loyal as a customer to the Pomona, NY David's Bagels store which is #1 in my books any day of the week or weekend. read more

Greatest tasting bagels in the area. Open early 5am. Lines can get long as this is a very popular spot in north Rockland area. Only negative is sandwiches do not come with any type of maccaroni or potato salad and pickle as most other places do read more

Dave's is a reasonibly priced and the food tastes great. The bathrooms were a little dirty but not the worst i've seen in the area. It's a great place to stop at the weekend to get breakfast. (Just make sure you get here early in the morning on the weekends) read more

I personally believe that this is a true New York / Jewish traditional bagel place. I have been to many places in Manhattan and Jersey, but all these self-claimed best bagel in NY were not even close to the best I know. I do not think the owner is kosher as the store has more non-kosher items, but the quality of the bagels is just superior. They have so many different types of bagels and cream cheeses. My favorite is the everything bagel and plain cream cheese with thin slices of lax. I wish I lived closer so I would not have to make my David's run as part of my routine Woodbury trip!! read more

Everytime I try to come in for an egg and cheese bagel, their grill is closed....they must open it for 5min, it's never open

Yum, Yum, Yum. Bagels at their best. Coffee is very good and Excellent service too. This place has a strong local following and long but fast moving lines. Too many smears to choose from but a fan of the lox spread. I always stop by on the way to Woodbury commons. read more

I have been a customer of David's Bagels in Pomona, NY for over 20 years. I bought white fish salad there that was inedible. I brought it back and was told I was only getting a partial refund because some of it was missing. I told the counter person this was unacceptable and asked for the manager, who came out wagging his finger at me and accusing me of eating some and wanting a full refund. I told him I didn't eat it as it was inedible and that I took one bite, spit it out and threw it in the garbage. He continued yelling at me that I was the only customer who returned the whitefish salad. I told him to taste it and he refused. I will NEVER, EVER, go back to David's Bagels in Pomona again! This very foolish manager lost a good, long time customer over a difference of $2.00 and change. If I could give this review zero stars I would. read more
