My cousin came down from out of town to try on dresses for her wedding. I had made two appointments, one for her at 1:30 and one for bridesmaids at 2:00. At 2:15, we had already comb the store and was still waiting to be helped! The front seat told us, "so sorry we have just had so many appointments today!" UMM YES WE WERE TWO IF THEM! We politely asked if we could try on the dresses we had already picked out ourselves and was told we had to have someone with us! Finally, we decided to leave! No dress, didn't even get to try one on, but decided we weren't going to spend our money there! I'm sure they make enough money and we didn't even put a dent in there sales...but I didn't spend my money there then...not will I ever! It's the principle of shitty service! read more

I was excited about my big day to go pick out my dress. I went by myself because I wanted the dress to be a surprise for everyone. I was given an appointment and set up with a lady, I think her name was Terry or Tammy. We started late and apparently I was only given 1 1/2 hours to try on dresses. I got to try three dresses on and when I expressed I wanted to try a pink dress on I saw when I walked in, she told me no because is was a prom dress. Keep in mind my wedding was going to be a small destination wedding, so I wasn't really pushing for a traditional dress. So after the three dresses I tried on, I told her I wasn't really excited about any of them. She told me we'd have to make another appointment for a different day. This gave me anxiety because going into the appointment I didn't know I was going to be limited and it wasn't my fault we started late. So I ended up buying a dress I wasn't happy with. It was a horrible experience for me when it should've been something exciting. I cried all the way home about the appointment. read more

I was working with Vanessa at David's Bridal. She helped me pick out a beautiful gown. I just moved to Austin from Florida and jumped the gun on purchasing a dress. I changed my mind and decided to get a dress made. When I called Vanessa, she told me to come in and see her. The dress had arrived and Vanessa and the manager (I forget your name!!!!! Let me start by saying if I could give 10 stars to this store and the staff I would!!! I will start with Lisa the Store Manager who was just phenomenal and professional & wonderful! I had gone to two other bridal stores to try on dresses and just wasn't finding anything that I liked. At David's Bridal I tried on white and ivory dresses and they were all wrong, that was the problem. Lisa suggested a beautiful designer gown in pink and ivory that made me cry when I saw myself in it. I cried because my Mom and Dad aren't here to see it since they passed away a long time ago. Adrienne was my sales lady that completed my look and was fantastic! Lyric was there for moral support and just a darling. The alterations Manager Valery was incredibly patient and creative with the changes we made to the dress. Such a sweetheart! Kim the seamstress did an incredible job on my dress and was an absolute doll! I'd also like to mention Tammy and Ricky who were sweet and so kind. All of you made my wedding journey a dream. David's Bridal saved my butt today. Like, I will be wearing a wedding dress that fits because of a group of wonderful ladies that all got together to work with me. I ordered my wedding dress, my beautiful perfect wedding dress, from David's Bridal 5 months ago. The dress arrived at the store in record time (like in a week) and I picked it up and took it to my friends house, who was holding it for me. She put it in her closet and they're it sat. For 5 months. Something I should probably mention was that I was intent on losing weight before the wedding. And I had anticipated dropping 15-20 lbs before the big day. Because of that, we decided to order the dress in a smaller size. So you'd think that I'd be trying that dress on the second I got it so I could see how my weight loss was coming along and how far I needed to go right? Yes, you'd think that but you'd be wrong. I dropped the dress off at my friend's and promptly forgot about it. Until last weekend which is 6 weeks before the wedding. I finally decided to schedule my alterations appointment. And then I decided it would be a good idea to try on the dress and see if it fits. Well, you might be shocked to hear it... But it didn't fit. Like "the clasps were more than two inches away from each other" didn't fit. Oh. No. Apparently, not only did I fail to lose weight but I actually went in the opposite direction and gained a few pounds. Crap. Crapcrapcrap! Okay, the most reasonable thing to do was exchange it for a bigger size! Uh, can I do that? I called David's Bridal and told them of my situation. They said they DO do size exchange for dresses but only within 30 days of buying the dress. However, they said that since the dress had been sitting in a closet for 5 months and had only been tried on once, that maybe they could make an exception. BUT he did also tell me that if I exchanged the dress TODAY and ordered another, that it would be here on October 4th. My wedding is October 17th! How can I do any alterations? There's no time and it will be too long! Well, that can't be helped. I just had to cross my fingers and go with it. I went in with the dress an hour later. They examined it and deemed it perfect and worthy of being exchanged. Victory number one! Then they took me to the back and had the seamstress look at me in the dress. Apparently it might be more cost effective to just let the dress out. But the seamstress said no, I needed a size or two up. Then came the second victory: they had my dress in the next two sizes up in the store! I asked if one fit, could I just take it instead of ordering a new one. She said yes! Victory number three! I tried on the next size up and it fit perfectly. There was a little bit of dirt around the top of the dress and she informed me that they would be cleaning that for FREE during my alterations appointment on Saturday. So I now have the exact dress I picked out, in the perfect size, in my closet right now. It will be cleaned and altered for the wedding in plenty of time. The real kicker- they did all this in under 45 minutes so I could get to work on time and it didn't cost me a dime. The three ladies that put their heads together today completely saved me. Not that I deserved it, I acted completely stupid and thoughtless. But because of them, I will be walking down the aisle in a dress that fits perfectly. You went above and beyond today, David's Bridal, and I can't possibly thank you enough. I learned my lesson. I will be on top of these things from no w on!! Aside from Jenny, I can't remember the names of the other two women who helped me. I will be posting an update when I find that out. They deserve a shout out at the VERY least. read more

I went to David's Bridal with some anxiety about finding a dress with only a few month's until my wedding. I went in and worked with Abigail. She was amazing! She found so many different cute dresses. I ended up falling in love with not just one, but TWO dresses! I went to David's Bridal (North Austin Location) twice in August to prepare for my wedding in February of next year. I was very appreciative of the cleaning and safety precautions they are taking in response to the current health situation. Everyone must wear masks at all times (employees and guests), try-on parties can be a max of 3 people, and the chairs for friends to sit in have been distanced appropriately between changing rooms. They have Plexiglas up in front of all the registers, hand sanitizer available all over, and they are consistently cleaning both surfaces (chairs, doorknobs, etc.) and dresses (they steam clean then after they have been tried on). I felt safe, and so did my Mom and bridesmaids (two different appointments). I originally had plans to make my own wedding dress, but my mother talked me into going just to "try things out and get a feel for structure and styles." We were helped by VANESSA, who was a delight! She listened very carefully to my styles, preferences, and budget, and she brought me both the few dresses that my Mom and I had selected while browsing, as well as a few of her own recommendations based on our chat. She has a very good eye, is cheerful and not pushy, and has an excellent sense of when to leave you to think and talk with your guests, and when to offer help or specific advice. I tried on 5 dresses total, and wouldn't you know it, I walked out with one! It was a store sample, and it fits almost perfectly already, needing just a hem/bustle and a bit of shoulder tightening. I did not expect this, but I am so happy with my dress and veils; Vanessa is also great at styling blushers, y'all. While the dress we bought was not what I would have expected going in, I love it--I feel just like myself in it, very beautiful and elegant, and appropriately Bride-ish! A week or so later, I made a second appointment at the same location to help me with Bridesmaid dresses. I had with me two of my ladies with me (the local ones) - we were helped by KAT (who actually also popped by and helped with my veils when I did my bridal visit!); she is also a darling - very encouraging, listens well, will happily figure out how to interpret your strange ramblings into dress recommendations, etc. We had a ton of fun together, and in the end left with two top dress choices to run by the out-of-town bridesmaid. We were also able to choose a dress color, which I love. We will be ordering the final dress choice this weekend! While I realize that individual experiences can vary, I can honestly say that I have had a nothing-but-wonderful experience with this location and the two staff ladies I've dealt with so far. I'm looking forward to my fittings and the final steps before my new marriage starts next year! read more

Everyone here was such a big help! I had a dilemma, I had ordered a dress online and found out yesterday that it wasn't going to be delivered on time for my wedding this weekend. I went to David's Bridal hoping they could do something to help me, I was desperate since it was 5 days until my big day. I didn't make an appointment, but they were still very accommodating. They partnered me with Adrienne, who was a miracle worker! I had limited time that day to try dresses on and she managed to get me everything I needed. She was very nice, sassy, and honest which was very helpful and made me feel at ease. We managed to find the perfect dress within two tries! We found the perfect dress within my budget, and luckily it didn't need alterations and I'm 7 months pregnant! She helped me accessorize to perfectly envision what I will look like on my big day. All in all I went from a wreck to everything I had dreamed of all because of Adrienne and the wonderful team at David's Bridal! I couldn't thank them enough. My Friend and I went in on a Sunday morning about 11am, we made an appointment so we would have a dedicated person. Valentina (Valentin) was her name---ASK FOR HER!! SHE is amazing. Yes she was helping someone else about 30 min after we got there but she had dresses ready to go and she was quick!! Lots of energy lots of smiles, made my friend feel welcome and special, listened to what she wanted and delivered. She helped getting into and out of dresses, finding the perfect undergarments. Early is best though, we went back to purchase her dress of choice at about 430pm and it was crazy! Just lots of brides so go early!!!! Definitely Do make an appt DO ASK FOR VALENTINA Do say what you feel Do take a friend Do look online before hand at the dresses I will tell you we went to about 4 more store after that and no comparison. We even visited Alfred Angelo which had dirty and gross looking dressing areas. Old and stained and they had a handful of dresses that could actually be sold off the rack, everything else had to be ordered and would take 14 weeks. Some places there was no selection, or a consultant that did not help. My friend found a dress no alterations needed. I would advise against alterations at David's bridal, take too long and are extremely pricey. Check down Anderson lane there are some good places and with quick turn around. read more

Faith was really great! She found really great dresses for my older sister (the bride) and myself and my younger sisters (the bridesmaids). She was really helpful, didn't rush us and even took the time to help my sister pick out a hair piece (she even brought out bobby pins and fixed her hair) and picked out shoes for all of us. I could not have had a better experience with my wedding dress shopping. I did go on a Saturday, but my consultant Adrienne suggested to come on a weekday, when there is more one on one time. Anyways, here I am at 12:30 on a relatively slow Saturday with 6 Bridesmaids. We had to wait a little bit to get started, but the trick is to start your dress shopping with mimosa's beforehand. You complain less when you're feeling good and laughing. We did not come in looking for buying anything and I didn't even come in wanting to try on anything. Adrienne and I clicked right away. I was blown away with how personable and sweet everyone was to me. I got talked into trying on dresses and it only took two dresses to find my "One". I will never forget this feeling. Of course we all cried. Adrienne did a phenomenal job listening to my requests and finding dresses perfectly my style. Adrienne needs some kind of award for being so freaking awesome. After receiving AWFUL service from another bridal shop, we decided to come to David's Bridal. We walked in hoping to be seen without an appointment. They were able to squeeze us in a little later that day. I told my consultant Stephanie all about my wedding; the theme, style, colors, what kind of dresses I like. Stephanie ran with that information and started pulling dresses. I ending up finding the dress of my dreams because of her! She picked the dress and the accessories! She is awesome at her job! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Stephanie, she told me she only works on Sundays if y'all want to schedule an appointment with her. My experience here was definitely a five-star experience! I booked my appointment for my fitting and with the help of Tammy, I was able to find the perfect dress and bridesmaid's dresses! She was so patient with me, my bridal party, and family and most importantly, she made me feel as if I were the only girl in the room! She was so busy tending to other customers, but always found time to help me and I thank her for her patience, great attitude and wonderful customer service. Worst customer service ever. We came in for my sister, the bride-to-be, to try on wedding dresses. First of all, they were late to our appointment. Then when the lady finally shows up, she automatically insults my sister's size (she is a small, petite girl) and stated that they probably don't have anything for her. And how do you expect to make sales like that?! She asks my sister what style she is looking for but instead of helping her find those styles, she's tells my sister to go pick out some dresses herself and she will be back. She disappears for a while. When she finally comes out and my sis shows her what she likes she ended up pulling 1-2 dresses out of the 5 that she wanted to try on. After that she started pulling random dresses in my sister's size instead of letting her try on the styles that she wanted. She constantly reminded my sister of how small she was and how difficult it will be for her to find a dress. My sister left feeling shitty. Terrible employee! Don't come here for your wedding dress! Their selection is small, styles out of date, and service is the worst! We will not be returning. read more

The sales people were nice. I just wish they turned on the AC while I'm trying on layers of dresses. My consult was sweet, but it seemed she wasn't listening to what I was saying. Our reception is on a boat on Lake Travis. I was looking for a boho lace sheath dress. I needed something light and flowing to survive my wedding day on October 6th, 2018. It's is the end of summer in Texas and I absolutely did not want a heavy princess a-line dress. I would be sweating my buns off while I'm dancing my first dance with my husband. David's Bridal has the tiniest dressing rooms. The girl(who I can't even remember her name) and was bumping into walls trying on dresses. It was probably 3ft by 3ft. Definitely not the right size room for big poofy wedding dresses to try on. There is also no mirrors in the dressing rooms. So, you can't even see the ugly dress you tried on until you stepped out of the dressing room. And as soon as you step out of the dressing room you have to move out the way for other consultants to get to their clients because the walk way is small too. Every time I turned around to see a different angel of the dress I had on I had to move so a consultant could get by. Also, why does David's bridal make you put on a corset and some bloomers. It was waaaaay too hot in there for all those layers. Needless to say I picked a dress from a different location. They were more personal, fun, and it was a relaxed environment. I got to pick a dress I wanted to try at the price range I wanted. Honestly, everyone was polite, but it felt so commercialized. It was all about the sale not about the customers needs. read more

Some of the sales people were superficial and their tone and eye rolling indicated they would rather be anywhere but there. I had a good experience in Buffalo, NY but not at the store in Austin. This is why I love the David's Bridal. I called to cancel an order for bridesmaid dress that I made online and to ensure that I would get a refund. At that point I had no intentions of getting a dress at David's Bridal. I had fell in love with that dress and I was determined to find a similar one else where. Until I talked with Kayla. Reason for order cancellation: I was so excited about the dress that did not read that it ran small. My bridesmaids needed a dress true to size. Back to Kayla: Kayla quickly showed me how to cancel my order and instead of terminating the call....she did something most customer service reps don't do. Kayla combed through hundreds of dresses to look for another dress that I would like. It was like having a personal dress consultant over the phone. She was in no hurry and did not rush. In the end we didn't find a dress. But because of Kayla's superb customer service skills I will get everything that I can for my wedding from David's Bridal. I wish I could say my bridal experience was good here but it was the worse dress shopping I've ever had! When I walked through the door the ladies that greeted me were very sweet and gave me this adorable bag and then showed me the selection of dresses to look at while they found me a stylist. As I am looking through the dresses I was already disappointed, the dresses were not nearly as beautiful as 2 of the other shops I had been to nor what I had looked at online at Davids Bridal ( but that is just my taste). They did not scream TRY ME ON. My stylist was Stephanie and when she introduced herself she was very dry and not friendly. Every place I have been to before the girls were so happy to help you find your perfect dress and was just as excited to shop with you. She however was not. I would show her my inspirations and I got a " yeah well you can keep looking around" feeling. She wasn't eager to find that perfect fit for me and it was almost as if she had no idea what dresses they carried in the store. In the fitting room my guests had no where to sit and wasn't offered a place to sit! I had to have my 11yr old daughter help adjust the dresses and the stylist wouldn't even clip the dress to fit my body when I was showing everyone nor fix my train to help me envision the full beauty of the dress. There were times I came out of the dressing room and she wasn't even around. I found one dress I liked but when asking her about alterations and asking for her to show me how it would fit my body when altered she wouldn't help and then just kept saying you have to buy it and if it doesn't fit you can get store credit. Thats not what I wanted to hear I wanted her to get off her tablet and help me imagine walking down the aisle in that dress. I went back to the racks like 5 times trying to dig through all the dress to find something and she only once picked out a dress for me. It was like pulling teeth to get her help!! Any time I would ask a question about a dress size/alterations/color changes she had no clue and had to look at her tablet to search! The other places I had gone to helped me/knew their dresses/knew where the dresses I was describing were at and pulled them for me/helped me get into my dresses and clip them to my body/ fixed the train for me so I could see what I would look like at the alter and made me feel important the second I walked in the store, here at Davids Bridal I did not!!! I am very disappointed and cant say I would recommend this store or at least my stylist. I see other reviews with different stylist that had a wonderful experience and that's awesome but this one I wouldn't!!! read more

You were incredibly sweet & fun to work with! I enjoyed my shopping experience with you & I appreciate you for being so kind and patient. I absolutely love my dress! I went in a second time for alterations and had the chance to work with the lovely Ann. She was amazing! So sweet and funny! This location is great! Mostly, Ceirra, who was kind and truly cared about finding me the dress of my dreams. I was in a time crunch due to an issue with my previous dress and she made sure I left the store with a dress that required no alterations, since I did not have time for them to be done. David's Bridal is lucky to have Ceirra on their team. She is the kind of employee that will establish a rapport with the customer and this will lead to customers sending their friends and family her way. Not to mention, she has a keen eye for picking out the right dress. Ceirra took the time to listen to my needs, find my dress, and provide amazing customer service. I made an appointment about a month ago with my lady who helped me find my wedding dress. I was so excited and happy to get all my girls together to try on dresses. When we got there they made us wait since our lady was backed up with somebody else. No biggie we were looking at the bridesmaids dresses anyways. I had one lady tell me to only look at the show case dresses while another lady said to look at the dresses in the side wall. Super confused. Welp my lady I made an appointment with was to busy to help us, another one came to help us gave us some instructions on picking the dresses. She told us that we only had two rooms to work with and two girls had to share one room. Why? They placed us in the back by the bathroom. It was very awkward our lady was helping others then when she found time would come to see how we were doing. Horrible experience, on top of that they lost my sash for my dress said I already picked it up. Maybe I should have just stuck with the Brodie location. I notified the manager about my experience and she said she will look into it but I never say her again. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

This was before i even started picking out dresses to try on... DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! I am livid with how rude and lazy the store workers were at this location. The first time I went to register my party, they only asked for my name and color (not the size of my bridal party, or the name of my husband who we had informed them was getting his suit and groomsmen suites at their partner store, Mens Wearhouse). We noticed a promotion after we were leaving having to do with men's wearhouse and decided to go back to men's wearhouse and check. They informed us that David's Bridal should coordinate with them to ensure coordination of all parts of the same wedding. When we went back the second time, not only did they require three people to answer our question, they were evasive and made it clear they did not want to help us. Then when we told them my husbands last name, the ladies scoffed and made audible jokes about it. I was in shock! Not only were they being incompetent and mean, they had not written down the color or specifics I had asked the first time in store only minutes before. A few weeks later, one of my bridesmaids (my sister in law) went to the store to get a dress. They refused to have her try on any of the dresses, lied and said they only had four styles to choose from, and then told her whatever she chose that day was final and could not be changed. I know all of this to be a lie since I went with another bridesmaid to the South Austin store location the Saturday prior (3 days before this incident) and was welcomed with great service, many choices she could try on, and the reassurance she could choose one of the other dresses in my color in a different in-store style if she did not like it when it arrived. I am completely disgusted a store based around the most loving day in a persons life can be so filled with negativity. ***I do not usually write reviews of any sort but I do not want another bride to experience this lack of class around an already stressful time of planning.*** read more

Well, I did end up buying my dress here but only because I loved the dress and the price was right. The other bridal salons were much nicer had better customer service but the gowns were just too much for my budget. I still paid over $1k for the dress alone. David's Bridal is a discount store. You do not receive good service and I have to say the manager I dealt with was very rude and not customer friendly at all. The ONLY way this place stays in business is volume and low overhead. They must not pay their "consultants" anything above minimum wage and their managers must have been trained at the "Wal Mart Customer Service Management" facility. I really would not recommend David's Bridal to friends but if they insisted on going, I would go with them to make sure they had help. read more

Not only was she extremely friendly and accommodating, she was funny, sweet, and knew exactly what dresses to pull for me. I came in on July 1st, 2014 with my best friend, mother, and mother-in-law-to-be. Valen greeted us shortly after we were there and told me she'd take good care of me. After I told her what styles I like, she began pulling. I can't imagine it's easy to work in an environment where every woman thinks she's the expert and her opinion is the superior one. But Valen rolled with the punches. On top of that, she was able to still be in control of the sale. I've been in sales for years and now manage the Bedding Department of Louis Shanks (and still sell on occasion) and I can tell you that having that kind of personality and still being able to steer and control the sale is a quality that is rare and very valuable. Valery in alterations was extremely helpful when I got my bridesmaids dress after a hem alteration and it didn't quite sit right (of no fault of their own). She told me that I could come back within a few days of the wedding if it was still bothering me. I called back a week later and she booked me an appointment around my schedule and personally looked at the dress to figure out a solution. All I can say is AAAmazing! To start off, I went to the store in Waco, not knowing they didn't have all styles and all dresses. While I was there, lets just say, it wasn't the best experience. So I tried my luck with his location!!! Best decision I ever made!!! First, We didn't have an appointment but they squeezed us in! Then we got Katie as our expert... expert she was! She was so amazing! Listened to what I wanted, helped me get in and out of every dress and was honest and fun!! We found a great dress!! I said yes... without going into much more detail, I had some personal problems and needed help getting things taken care of with the dress... I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to get it taken care of... i was Wrong!!! Stephanie and he General manager worked with me and fixed everything!! It was nothing having to do with them or the store, it was all me, but hey went out of their way to help me anyway!! I can't say enough good things about them!!
