Solid option for wedding dress shopping! Workers are so friendly and they have such a wide variety of amazing dresses. And what's best is that they're all on the cheaper end when it comes to wedding dresses. I really appreciate how fast they are too, we've been to other shops where you only get to try on a few during an appointment. But we were able to really just get a whole flow of trying on dresses here. Only downside is that the only couches are right behind the mirror, so it's kind of hard to see the bride in each dress. They don't really take the time to turn the bride around to the guests so it's a lot of trying to peek around through to the mirror. Or a lot of maneuvering around to get a good look. read more

We had started at a store that was advertised as more budget friendly and had not found a good fit, so we moved up to what reviews indicated to be the next best store for a reasonably priced dress. We were happy with every aspect of this store. It was well organized, had lots of inventory, (including a large selection of reduced price dresses), spacious dressing rooms, large viewing areas with seating for helpers, and knowledgeable, personable sales ladies who enjoy their job. The prices weren't any higher than the budget store. We purchased a veil that had to be ordered, and when we changed our mind on it, they were kind and reasonable to work with. I had an appointment today and got Abbie as a consultant. She seems incredibly young (and possibly under the drinking age), she offered us mimosas but I'm pretty sure she doesn't know what mimosas are. We were given wine which was fine, it was a Moscato, but a little confusing. The appointment was going fine until she asked what I would like to listen to over the speakers since we were the only ones in the shop. When I told her what artist my mom and I love, she said "oh no. seriously...?" and I said yes, and she said "oh no girl..." and attempted to change the subject but was very condescending. She was incredibly rude about it and never changed the music. Which was odd because why ask the client what they want to listen to and then judge them for their answer? We continued the appointment and she's making small talk and started to judge people who have moved to Texas from California (because I said I was from there...). She made me and my mom so uncomfortable with her comments and judgement, you could tell the lack of maturity and professionalism. I'm just wanting to enjoy wedding dress shopping for my special day and the least you could do if you're going to offer to change music is to put your judgement away and play it for us... I wish I could give zero stars for the lack of professionalism, definitely lost the sale because of this. read more

I actually didn't purchase my dress from here but I needed to commend the manager/owner on trying to help my mom and I track down this private label gown. It seemed impossible to find, over half the stores in the area didnt even know what I was talking about when I mentioned Justin Alexander's private label (despite them selling JA gowns). They would say "no we don't sell that line" and that was that. The owner here did some major digging for us, talked to her JA rep, found a loaner, and called us back in a timely manner. While I ended up going with another gown, I think her hard work and dedication to a bride who hadn't even stepped in the store yet speaks volumes. Amour helped to make my wedding day absolutely perfect! From start to finish they were spectacular, and helped in every way. When I went to try on dresses, I was able to see a variety of them. When I went in, I didn't know what style I wanted, but with the help and expertise from Amour, I was able to work my way to the perfect dress. That plus my vail made me feel stunning, and I knew I had found the one. When it came to ordering, my dress came in in plenty of time, and they recommended several alteration places. The week of my wedding, I was able to take my dress in for a free steam, which made the day of my wedding that much less stressful!! Not great for plus sizes. We went in with my dear friend who needed plus sizes but the selection was small. You can sometimes get around that by leaving the back open but the show off areas are not private and the shop was full of young guys presumably picking out their prom outfits. My friend wouldn't come out of the dressing room and it made her very self conscious. It was deflating on what should be an exciting and special day. One of the other stores she had already visited was able to get us in without an appointment and it saved the day. Just something to consider. read more

I had the pleasure of having my first ever wedding dress shopping and try on at Amour and it was absolutely fantastic! Abbie was my stylist, and she was the sweetest and most helpful. She made me feel so comfortable and excited and overall made the experience that much more fun. I had an appointment at another bridal shop immediately after this, and while that shop was great and I have nothing bad to say, it really emphasized how Amour Bridal just fit my style and my needs perfectly. As a plus size bride, I was incredibly nervous about trying on dresses for the first time. Kathryn went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable throughout the process, and even recommended the dress that ended up being my favorite. This is clearly not her first rodeo! I wrote a great review for this wedding boutique 5 months ago. Unfortunately, I am having to re-do that review so it reflects the opposite of my original opinion. 5 months ago I ordered a dress with a custom length of 52 inches. I was told that was the shortest they could make it, and that I would HAVE to wear heels (I wanted to just stick with flats). I said that was fine if that was all they could do, because I liked the dress. 52 inches it was - signed and paid. 5 months later, and only 40 days from my wedding, my dress arrives. It's not only NOT 52 inches, but it's 47 inches (after I was told they could not make it shorter than 52?). I contacted the bridal shop and they said they could NOT order me a new one. They said they'd take it back, but couldn't offer me anything in return. Or I could keep it how it was. The dress in it's current state, does not reach the floor. If I wanted it to reach the floor, all new fabric would have to be sewn in to the delicate floral patterned lace. Not once did Amour even offer to ask the manufacturer about a rush order, or offer for me to see if any other dress could be rush-ordered, or if I could even try on others in the store to purchase a floor sample one. Nothing. When I returned my dress today, my fiance asked them where the miscommunciation happened and they blamed ME and said "well maybe she should have purchased smaller shoes". (I was told to get "at least" 1 inch heels. I purchased 2 inch heels because let's face it, 1 inch wedding shoes are almost impossible to find). But that's okay... since it's all my fault anyway.... I will NEVER purchase anything from here again, nor will I EVER recommend this store to anyone. If you are reading this, I strongly encourage you to shop elsewhere. Austin has so many places to offer - do yourself a favor and pick somewhere that will do anything they can to resolve any and all issues. You're the BRIDE and this is your WEDDING - the most important day of your life! read more

Amanda was my consultant and she was literally everything I could ask for! She was so easy-going and kind and never gave her personal opinions about any of the dresses, rather she really listened and looked at what I picked out to learn exactly what I was looking for. I came here twice - once with just my bridesmaid and once with my out of state mother and sister. My first experience was great, and I chose 3-5 dress samples I wanted to show my mom and sister when they came into town. The ladies were nice and offered us some white cranberry mimosas that were pretty much just juice, but a nice gesture. This store is on the smaller side, and has less selection that the other boutique I visited in Austin. They state they have around 200 dresses (although it seemed like they have much less than that IMO), when other boutiques in Austin usually tote 300-500 dresses. I chose this boutique because they had a particular designer and was close to my house in Round Rock. My second visit with my out of state mom and sister went less positively. We had a reservation at 4pm but ended up walking in at 3pm. I told the girl we were in the area earlier than expected and we can wait at the cafe next door if it was a problem - we were extremely early. They were nice enough to get me in an hour earlier though, which was great. They then told me twice I was 'over shopping' for my wedding dress after hearing I went to another boutique just before. I hardly think one other boutique (and an obligatory visit to David's Bridal) is over shopping. Actually, it was the perfect amount of shopping for me and I would recommend everyone go to more than one - because they have drastically different samples. The lady helping me with my dress was significantly more pushy now that she knew my mom and sister were with me. My mom saw another bride-to-be with a great dress on. She asked the helper if we can try the dress on after the other bride-to-be was done with it. We waited (which was completely fine) but when the other bride came out in another dress my mom asked again if we could try the previous dress on. I almost lost it when the lady told my mom to calm down and had a condescending laugh, and told us to keep waiting. We were all sitting on the couch talking about other wedding planning activities at the time and not at all 'un-calm'. We finally get the dress on and I wasn't super thrilled about it, and the helper could definitely see that this wasn't the dress for me. She wouldn't let me out of the dressing room without a lecture on how I "WILL NOT" talk negatively about the dress because the other bride-to-be was thinking seriously about this style. At this point I quickly showed it to my party, removed it, and left. We did not purchase a dress from this boutique. I did not like how rude they were to my mom, how pushy they were when I had my party with me, and how condescending they were to me. read more

I cannot begin to tell you how amazing Kristen and Amour bridal is. There aren't enough stars. I ordered my dress from another shop in Austin in May, I was told it would be shipped and at the store in October. October 18th rolls around and I haven't heard anything I called multiple times over 2 days, no answer. I text on 10/18 with a response on 10/20 that was not an update and haven't heard anything since. I even showed up to the shop on a Saturday and lights were off, doors were closed, mail on the floor. I did what any SANE bride who gets married in 3 months would do, I posted in the Austin bride group and Kristen was the first person to comment and then she sent me a DM and immediately offered help. She called the designer got info that she could and kept me in the loop. Unfortunately since the dress wasn't under her account she couldn't just have it shipped to their store. It's been 3 business days since Kristen messaged me and my dress has been paid for through her shop and should be arriving next week. This is by far the best customer service I have ever dealt with. You can tell they care about your special day, even when you aren't an original customer. She literally saved me. read more
