Had some of the worst customer service here over 3 visits. Should have heeded the other poor reviews. If you make an appointment to find a dress expect your assistant to spend most of her time getting called away to help other parties. For the most part the two people I brought with me had to help me find and try on dresses. I ended up finding and buying a dress here but I now regret it. I love my dress, I just despise having to work with these people. The dress I bought needed a few repairs done (reinforcing some beading) which was included in the price and no problem. Picking it up was another story. Took over 30 mins for them to just *find* the dress. Then they wanted me to try it on.. But it hadn't been altered only had beading reinforced. I have no complaints about the alteration department, they missed a spot where a thread had pulled loose and they fixed it on the spot. Very happy with their work. I had also ordered a veil. When I went to pick that up an associate immediately took my name and said she would go find it. Fast forward 25 mins and here she comes from the front of store. I ask her if she's looked for my veil and her response "Oh I'm going to look for it now." So I wasted my time standing around waiting while she was somewhere chitchatting with her friends.... Very unhappy with this stores' associates. I will not be having my dress altered here after this experience, I don't care if I have to pay twice as much it'll be more than worth it for decent customer service. I highly advise any future brides to look elsewhere. I'm also telling my bridal party to avoid this place. I regret spending my money here. Also - Pay no attention to the comments from "Kim H." the supposed business manager that is replying to these reviews. She never sends any info or attempts to reach out. If at all possible DO NOT GO HERE to get your dress!!! They are horrible!!! They do not care about their brides and their needs at all. I bought my dress almost a year ago there and have been trying to get alterations done from them for almost 4 months and still don't have my wedding dress. My wedding is in about three weeks... They ordered me the wrong size in my dress and the straps were messed up when the dress finally came in. I asked them to order me the right size dress for they tried to charge me 900 dollars in alterations for the dress they ordered me the wrong size in. The new dress took over a month to come in when I told them I needed the dress priority shipped in as soon as possible. I told all of the managers that I need my dress completely done and in my hand by the end of April for I will not be around in May (the month of my wedding) because I am graduating college, in a wedding, have my bachelorette, and so much other stuff going on in May that I won't have time to worry about my dress. Every time I called to check on my dress because of my time crunch, the managers and assistants were incredibly rude to me and made me feel like such a burden. I had already paid for the dress in full and therefore since they had my money I feel like they just didn't care about me and my needs at all. Here we are, 3 weeks until I need the dress for my wedding and I still don't have my dress. I am in full swing, graduating college in 5 days, in a wedding in 8 days, leaving for my bachelorette in 10 days, trying to visit my fiancé who is out of state since he is in the Army, just incredibly busy like I have told them all a million times that I will be by May, and no one cares and no one is trying to help me out. They will not care about you once they have your money. I am very disappointed with David's Bridal and would not ever recommend anyone to buy their wedding gown from them. read more

I recently made a purchase from David's Bridal in Duluth I purchased off the rack because I was getting married in 30 days. I had initially had a dress but I am pregnant and because I am growing I had to start my search again for a dress so I went to David's bridal again. My bridesmaid got their dresses from here as well. The lady that help me with the dress fitting was great and I found a dress that I liked and would accommodate my growing belly. I was told that because I'm buying off rack that they will do a spot cleaning. When I went to pay for the dress the customer service lady was very rude and told me that they don't do any cleaning there. I had to go get lady that help with my fitting to explain to her about having the dress spot clean. I went to go pick up my dress and I went to the customer service desk and ask about picking up my dress that was being spot clean and the Manager, Valerie Blalock told me to walk to alterations and they will be able to help me. Which is funny because when I initially paid for the dress the other day it was a lady there to pick up her dress and Valerie didn't tell her to walk to the back to pick it up, but she proceed to go get the dress herself and bring it back to the customer. Don't know why I didn't get that same service. I get the dress and there was no spots on it but it looked dingy to me So I explain to Valerie Blalock how I felt like the dress had a dingy look to it especially at the top. She was very rude and completely dismissed how I felt about a dress that I paid full price for. So I asked her if there was any way that I can have a new dress shipped to me and how long it will take. She tells me that they don't provide new dress that every dress a customer orders is a dress that was on the floor in one of their locations. I guess this lady thought I was dumb. Now I don't know if she mean that because if my time frame I won't be able to get a new dress so I can have one ship from another store that might be in better condition or not. So I asked her again because I couldn't believe what I was hearing. And she proceed to tell me again that its it very rare, no matter how far in advance you order a dress that anyone ever gets a brand new dress. She calls over I another manager, Brandi Tybor, who was just as rude and said we don't see anything wrong with the dress and there nothing else we can do for you. So I'm completely making up the way I am feeling about this dress is pretty much what they was saying. Then proceed to ask me if I would like to purchase a garment bag for the dress after they been rude to me. I called another location in Kennesaw, GA and spoke to Hannah. She was the best. She tried to see if I would be able to order a new dress, yes new, in time for my wedding. but come to find out she said it will be pushing it kind of close. She even advise me that the dress does come in a white, I had soft white and was never offered white. I went back to the Duluth after I got off the phone call with Hannah. And asked the lady why I wasn't offered it in white and why she lied about all dresses are used. She tells me well looked at you file and notice you initial came here in October, why didn't you a dress then and it's your fault because you waited so late. I had to try my best to not curse that lady out. I've never had service as bad as I did from Valerie Blalock and Brandi Tybor. I paid full price for my wedding dress and regardless whether if was from the floor or not I should have been treated so unfairly. I would never recommend this location to anyone ever. read more

We went to davids bridal yesterday to try on bridesmaids dresses with the bride yesterday. They had to call the girl 3 times to come help us and she finally showed up. We went to try on the dresses came out the employee was cleaning mirrors. The bride was on the phone and noticed the employee wasn't doing anything and the dresses were big on us. The bride started holding the dresses so she could kind of see what the would look like when they get altered. The employee then handed the bride a clip to pin the dress as she continued cleaning. I then went to the front and said something because the bride shouldn't be doing the employees job. They sent a manager over and the employee didn't see the manager and began yelling at us because I mentioned she should be helping more and the bride should be able to just look at the dresses instead of work. She then grabbed the back of my dress slung me around pulled the dress so hard it pulled me back and then continued pulling the dress so tightly I had to gasp for air. I pulled away and told her she didn't have to hurt me and be so disrespectful and she began yelling at us again. The manager told the girl to go 3 times before the girl finally went to the front. As we began to leave I noticed the girl still working...really she still has a job after that?? The manager watched the entire thing. I am so very disappointed in the customer service yesterday it isn't even funny. read more

We purchased my daughter's beautiful wedding gown at David's Bridal in Orlando, Florida where she currently lives...Her wedding was in Gainesville, Georgia where we live. When my daughter came home for a shower the dress was way too big and would have to be completely altered. We called David's Bridal in Duluth, GA to see if by any chance they had a smaller size of her dress on the floor. The manager, Beverly was most accommodating...She told us if the dress was in pristine condition, tags still on the dress, and the wedding date has not passed that she could help us. We were soooo lucky, because they did have the smaller size at the store...It was such a pleasant experience. The dress fit perfectly and we got so many compliments about it being the prettiest dress people had ever seen...Vera Wang White Collection...Thank you sooo much for your amazing customer service and the gorgeous dress. My daughter couldn't have looked or felt more beautiful on her wedding day...Thumbs up Beverly and a HUGE THANKS!!! read more

I have had the most awful experience with David's bridal in Duluth, GA since I began planning my Wedding for June of this year. I first went in the shop in June 2015 to look at wedding gowns. I found my gown on the first visit. I was told I could put some money down and pay it off in 90 days. I also took my bridesmaids as well as matrons of honor in the store and found dresses for them. We were told my girls would also need to put a percentage down and pay the dress off in 90 days. None of my girls had ordered their gowns because we were told they would only take 8 weeks to come back. I went back to the store in January with one of my bridesmaids because when I called I was told by the manager my girls would need to come in the store to order and pay off the dress the same day. When I went in with my bridesmaid, we were treated very poorly by the manager Valerie Blaylock. Both of us tried to explain to her that we were told my girls could put money down for their dresses and pay them off in 90 days. She repeatedly cut us off and pretty much acted like we were not telling the truth because no one in that store would have told us anything. My bridesmaid Marie told her she was coming to put money down and she told Marie she could not have because that was not their policy. I then went back to the store on January 30th with my daughter and Marie again to try on dresses. My daughter had called and made an appointment for that day at 5:30. My daughter got to the store before me and Valarie was once again VERY RUDE to her and told her AUDREY (meaning me) did not have an appointment scheduled. Once I got there I found my daughter looking at dresses. When I went up to ask about who was going to help us since I had an appointment, Valerie once again told me I did not have an appointment scheduled but she would find someone. It was another 10-15 minute delay before a girl finally came from the back to help us. My daughter who was very unhappy with the tone Valerie used with her before I came in the store on January 30th as well as myself also noticed how other people in the store were treated much nicer by Valerie than me and my party the whole duration of our visit. Regardless, we decided to still look for dresses and we found new ones for my wedding party. We were told 2 dresses would take 4 weeks and the other 2 would take 8 weeks to return. Today when we called so I could give another bridesmaid in NY information on her dress, we are now being told if we do not order and pay for the dresses this week in full, we will not be able to get them in time for my wedding on June 10, 2016. I ordered and paid for my gown in September. I told my girls they would be able to get an additional $20 off their dresses since I ordered mine. I am so frustrated with David's bridal I want to return my gown, get a full refund and find another wedding shop in Atlanta to get a different dress. I think it is awful not only does the manager not care about how a bride and her party is treated but also a district manager has not shown concern and contacted me because I called the corporate office last week and left my name and contact information so I could speak to someone about the terrible experience I have had with this store. I was told I would get a return call in 24 hours. It has been a week and no one has contacted me yet. read more

I was involved in a recent wedding (8/8/15) where my children were Junior Bridesmaids. We went to the Duluth store over two months beforehand to choose and order the dresses for them. One dress came in quite quickly, but the other was delayed a few weeks. When I got notification it was in, I went to retrieve it and it was the wrong dress. This was upsetting because our time allowance to make this correction was limited. The newly ordered dress was going to come in the week of the wedding. The location manager, Beverly, reviewed our situation and was extremely accommodating since it was the consultant who ordered the wrong dress initially. I was not going to have to pay a rush fee on any alterations that may have been needed on the new dress. Ruth & Misi were stellar in accommodating us further in the alterations department. I can say that my experience at David's keep me coming back again and again. I had a positive experience a few years ago in a cousin's wedding for my daughters flower girl dresses. I had even purchased my own wedding dress at this same location in 1995. After telling Beverly about my positive experiences, she said she was managing that same store when I bought my wedding dress! It is amazing that in 20+ years of dealing with the same establishment, I have continued to receive such great and understanding service. Kudos to Beverly and to Ruth & Misi in the alterations department. I hope that others can (and will) continue to see how they can become a fan of this location as well. read more
