I went to this store with two of my bridesmaids after a terrible experience at the big warehouse store in Atlanta that gets terrible reviews (should've listed to my fellow yelpers!). Kim was the sales associate who helped me and my two bridesmaids who were there to help me. I showed Kim a picture of my dream dress that was way out of my price range and asked her what she had within my budget in a similar style. She brought five dresses and we loved four of them!! She did a fantastic job with the selections and the one I didn't like happened to be the only one I specifically asked to try. She predicted I wouldn't like it to my friends while I was in the dressing room and she was right on! I loved that she let me see for myself instead of trying to convince me that it wouldn't flatter my figure. I should also mention that one of the 5 dresses she selected was a $99 gown (they do exist!!) so I really didn't feel pressured at all to spend above my budget. I finally narrowed it down to my final dress to which Kim added a beautiful sash and broach (which none of us would've even thought to add) and we were sold!! It was the perfect finishing touch! I would also like to praise Jennifer who appeared to be the manager on duty. She was a huge help to me and my friends and helped Kim make our experience fantastic...especially after hearing how terrible my first shopping experience at the other store was. Way to go Kim and Jennifer!! I should also mention that I had a separate trip for bridesmaids dress shopping. The trip was easy and the sales people were super helpful. In summary, I got my bridal gown and bridesmaids dresses (6 of them!) at David's Bridal and I'm sorry I even bothered to shop any where else. I'm not sure why this store has any bad reviews but my best guess is that only the rudest bridezillas are posting reviews here and if you act like an a-hole in a store then you should expect to be treated as such! read more

To be honest with you, I didn't want to purchase my dress at DB because I was thinking cheap looking wedding dresses. However, they do have some designer lines. I'm not talking Vera Wang or Melissa Sweet, but Oleg Cassili. I thought his line was beautiful! I tried on others as well but the quality wasn't as good as Cassili. I went there because of the prices. They are very reasonable! My consultant Nikki was so nice and helpful. She was helping several brides to be, but she attended to each of us and stayed with us until we were finished. I did go on a Saturday and was ready for mayhem. There were several brides that had the same appointment as me and they were organized putting the brides with the consultants. I showed her some of the pictures that I liked and tried them on. She cleared out the dresses that I already tried on and told me the ones that she liked on me. She also put a veil and jewelry on me so I could get my total look. She was very patient with me because I tried some of the dresses on twice. Even though it was busy, it wasn't chaotic like I thought it would be. I actually had fun trying on the different dresses. I didn't get it on Saturday because DB was the first store that I visited, but I went back on Monday and ordered it. Out of all the dresses that I tried on, I knew it was the one. I felt like a princess in it and didn't want to take it off. Thanks to Nikki's help and my mom's credit card I now have the dress of my dreams! read more

I found my dress at David's bridal but and the dress I tried on was a perfect fit. I wanted to order that size but the consultant said I needed a bigger size. I said no because it was going to be big on me. She insisted that I get a bigger size so I can alter it. First off, why would I want a bigger size to pay more just to alter it when I can get a size that fits me? We argued for a bit and I even talked to the manager who told me to listen to the consultant. I knew the dress I ordered was too big. When I got it today and tried it on, it was too big! I knew this would happen. I was so mad I just took my dress and left. The customer service is horrible in this area. I didn't want to buy a bigger dress because I knew my size. They just want to milk every penny from you. I give this place a 1. Don't trust these people. Just trust yourself! You know your body and your size. Be careful ladies. read more

They will try and entice you with specials, but the dresses are still overpriced and quality is not worth it. I tried to make an exchange in store after purchasing a dress online, and Jenn at the Gwinnett, GA location told me I would have to pay for expedited shipping even though the event I was buying the dress for, was more than 10 business days away!! She was rude, trying to be loud so I would leave the store, and I told her I refuse to pay $20 more for shipping especially because I was told when coming in that I would not have to pay more for an exchange! Initially when walking in, they told me that the only inconvenience would be that the dress would be shipped to their store. I said that's fine. After going to the counter, they will do whatever they can not to do their job and get you to go away. Saying things like "I'll have to get this authorized" or that "this can't be done in store" oh! and my all time favorite..." we are not affiliated with the online site"..what!? Are you kidding me? So their advice was...buy the dress again in the right size and return the one you bought....THANKS FOR NOTHING. I don't have the luxury of spending another $170 and getting what I need. I was searching for a dress for a special event. I was told the buckhead location was for wedding gowns only so I decided to head to this location in Duluth. I made an appointment online the night before for 7:30, the latest time slot available online. On the day of my appointment I drove almost two hours in traffic to reach this store. I made it 5 minutes early! When I walked in I wasn't quite sure what to do. It seemed pretty quiet so I started looking for someone to help me. It was difficult to find someone and there were no nametags or obvious uniform indicators that differentiates the employees from the customer. If you were coming from work (business casual) , you could easily be mistaken for an employee there. Anyway, I saw a women on a tablet and I thought I'd asks her for help. I asked her if I needed to actually check in for my appointment or if I could just help my myself. She seemed taken aback that I was speaking to her and rudely said you need an appointment. She was a total Scrooge. I told her I had one, but they looked slow and I didn't see anyone to help me check in. She says well that girl can help you.... Points to a girl helping someone else. I later learned this women had an appointment, but she was rude as hell and seemed like someone's mean grandmother. She really left a bad taste in my mouth and I almost walked out the door. So, I walk over to the women she pointed out and tell her I have an appointment. She cant find it in the system, but I had a screen shot of the confirmation. She didn't know that I had the screen shot, but still offered to help me. This lady pretty much saved the day for your store and Mrs. Scrooge. I wish I could remember her name. I ended up settling on a dress pretty fast. I wanted to try a few others just to be sure, but it was hard to find help. I decided to leave and I purchased my dress on line. Overall, my experience was blah. The only reason I purchased was because I only had a short time frame to get a dress. Well,well,well. Let me start by saying my first experience was pretty good. Bridal consultant was VERY busy, but I didn't feel rushed, she offered helpful advice and once I had tried on a few dresses she very quickly got the knack of what I liked and what looked good on me. Second experience was so awful that I only bought the dress because I had already fallen in love with it on the first visit. I was deciding between dresses and made my second appointment while I was there the first time. When I arrived and checked in I was told that my consultant was no longer with DB and so and so was going to be helping me. I think someone should have called to tell me about the change, but they didn't. She was so rushed and practically ripped each dress off of me each time. Several times she disappeared while I was left standing half naked or in a dress for ten minutes. To make matters worse she didn't really have to do much work with me because I knew I wanted one of the two. Also when I first got there I told her I was waiting on a friend who had called and would be there in 5 minutes and could we wait a minute for her. She told me we needed to start right away (even though I was there 15 mins early!)But she offered that she would tell the girls up front that my friend would be there and to tell her to come back. My friend waited up front for 20 minutes before happening to see me come out of the dresing room with a dress on! She obviously didn't tell anyone I was waiting on her to get there. Fast forward to I have said ok this is the one for my dress. It was all she couldl do not to shove me to the check out. She walked off when I was asking how much the bra and crinoline were! Acted annoyed with me the whole time. Needless to say if I wasn't totally in love with the dress I would have walked out! Gals, this is not the place to get good service. It was not the experience I envisioned for buying THE dress you wear on your big day. If you are not on a $99.00 budget I suggest going anywhere else. Even though they are busy and a chain, I don't think that's an excuse to treat people like a cow in a dairy farm. I will be picking up my dress when it comes in and taking it somewhere else for alterations. I will not spend another dime there. I spent $1,000 there and they will not get anymore. Long and short of it is, go to a real bridal boutique and get the service and attention you will want. It may cost you a bit more, but would be worth it in the long run. I even called and spoke to the manger about it and although she was nice and seemed genuine, she did not offer anything to fi my experience other than a new consultant. Duh! As an older bride looking for a short dress for a small wedding, I visited all the Buckhead stores (plus a lot of suburban stores) without luck. When I found a David's dress online, I walked in without an appointment to the Duluth store. Not only did they make me feel as important and beautiful as a young girl planning a big wedding, my stylist Gabby went above and beyond to help me. She pulled dresses, researched the online dress, gave great advice, and was respectful, attentive, and fun. Poor experience! I'm not sure if the woman who helped me was new but she was NO help. She only pulled 3 dresses at a time, my mother had to help me in and out of the dresses and not to mention, I was given a small dressing room to try on while other customers and David's Bridal workers kept walking in front of me while I was looking at the dress on me. I recently bought my wedding dress from this David's Bridal location. I was paired up with Dany S. at the store. She asked great questions to learn about my wedding and my vision for that day. She pulled several dresses and the first one I tried on was a definite no but had pieces that I liked - I was able to better describe to her what I wanted and she found the dress that I ended up buying two dresses later. She was friendly, listened well and made me feel very comfortable. When asked what kind of veil I had in mind and I was very adamant about not wanting a veil she didn't argue or force anything on me that I didn't want. She made it a great experience, helped me relax and really see myself as a bride - thank you Dany S for being so great! My experience with David's Bridal has been wonderful. We ordered all of the bridesmaid dresses through them, and the process was seamless. But I really want to single out Jennifer- she completely exceeded my expectations! I took my mom into David's Bridal to find a MOB dress. We found one....that was 10 sizes too big. That particular style was limited, so Jennifer (on a very busy day) called around to different stores trying to find the color/size. She found the dress for us and made sure that we had that store's information (just in case) and her name. It was so refreshing to see such good customer service. I knew she had a million other things to do, but the fact that she took time to help us really meant a lot to me and my mom. Worse customer service and experience I've had since starting my wedding planning. They were unprofessional from the time I walked in the door. This location and David's Bridal in general has been nothing but a headache. As if you don't have enough stress trying to plan a wedding they add to it. I made an appointment for my girls to try on dresses. The girl that was assisting us was clearly trying to rush us so she could get elsewhere. She had one of her co-workers come in and say "you should have been at lunch 15 minutes ago". Seriously, first of all rude, second of all don't start working an appointment that's near your break time. Especially for bridesmaids dresses. She ruined the entire moment for me and my girls. Then, they decided to send my Maid of Honor the wrong color dress. Two of my bridesmaids had to go back and forth with them for over an hour because they were told they never ordered dresses when they had bank statements and confirmations stating otherwise. They put 3 of my bridesmaids in the wrong wedding party! So I email customer service to discuss all of these issues and concerns and the rep is talking to me like I did something wrong. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DAVID'S BRIDAL TO ANYONE! THERE IS NO EMPATHY IN HANDLING THEIR BRIDES AND IT LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THEY ONLY GET AS MUCH BUSINESS AS THEY DO BECAUSE THEY ARE A CHAIN. I'm getting married in October this year and was so excited to have found my dress at David's. I found the one and ordered it with the lady that helped me try on dresses. I was told to come back after my last payment cause they have to do it in store and I would get my dress that day. I went home and showed my in laws the dress and when I opened up the dress and saw that it had holes all over it and one of the layers was ripped completely. I immediately called up there and was laughed at by one of the ladies saying there's no way that I have a ripped dress and that basically there was nothing that I could do. I hung up due to frustration and called back and spoke with someone else who told me that I was actually given a sample dress and that I could come back up there and they would order me another dress. Now I live 2 hours from this store and when I got there I was treated poorly and no one apologized to me at all. If I could give a no star rating I most certainly would. Davids Bridal Duluth is HORRIBLE! As a first time bride being alittle stressed and overwhelmed may come with the territory, however to get stress from a bridal store that has its roots in helping brides and making them happy should never happen. From my first bridal fitting appointment it was awful, I came in for my appointment, was thrown in a backroom with a book, one dress, a slip and a bra. I had no idea how to put it on and was completely devastated by the rude treatment of the attending person. She told me that she was helping another bride as well and that she would get back with me when she could. I was in tears, I never envisioned my first bridal fitting going this way. My mother asked for a manager and the manager got another person to help me. But the nightmare didn't end there. I was rushed throughout the entire appointment and this person acted as if she didn't want to be bothered. I got through the appointment and my cousin made me another appointment for Bravura Bridal that same day because of this. Needless to say I went to this appointment, was treated like royalty and the bought a dress! I still wanted to utilize davids bridal for my bridesmaids dress because I had already identified dresses there for my wedding. I made a wish list there along with every bridesmaid, MOH, MOA, JMOH everything. I had it outlined by dress style numbers, Sashes, Roles, Names and numbers. I have no idea how a system can add and subtract items on its own. At least SIX times I had to go over this information with the staff a DB Duluth and it still was not right. I even went in and personally went over it with a staff person there looking at the screen myself and what was being entered only to call the next week and it was all screwed up again! My wedding color has apple for each of my wedding party members and the last straw was when I called yesterday ( 7th time) after my MOH said that the style number for her did not appear right and the told me that "oh yes she had the ivory dress and there are 4 other dresses under her as well" I almost lost! the only one wearing IVORY is me and I'm not on the list! All of the managers and staff are incompetent, who can not even manage entering data into a database correctly! Ambience, Nicole, Megan, Rebecca, Janel and a couple others that I cannot remember there names are all of the people that I reiterated the same information to repeatedly and each time they assured me that it would not happen again and it did. I have never had such an awful, horrific, disappointing, stressful and disrespectful experience with a vendor in my life. I would not recommend this Davids Bridal to my worst enemy to utilize. They need training and new employees and managers no bride should ever have to feel this way. read more

I have been going to this location for my alterations and am so impressed! Ansley is quick, efficient, and patient. She listens to all my concerns and never makes them feel small or not important. She just finished my hem and it is perfect! Ansley also chose a great bustle that works beautifully with my dress. I bought the dress at David's in Asheville and had a great experience with Tara there. I don't have anything but great reviews for David's. They are quick, affordable, and knowledgeable. read more

My bridesmaids and I had a good experience at this location. We encountered a hang up when the dress we wanted was not available in color I was hoping for. It was certainly disappointing that I couldn't get the color I wanted, but the sales associate Sarah was extremely helpful and made the experience much better. Even though the store was closing and we were there about 15 minutes too late, she helped us look through all of our color options and patiently helped us mix and match colors. I had the BEST experience at this David's Bridal! I have been to the David's Bridal in Savannah before looking for a bridal gown and bride's maid's dresses before for a friend's wedding and it was horrible (we never even got the consultant we were promised since we had made the appointment well in advance), and I'd already had a terrible experience at Bride Beautiful that same morning, so I was really worried going into this appointment. Patty was my consultant, and frankly, after watching pretty much every episode of Say Yes to the Dress, she put those consultants to shame! She was utterly amazing. I am a pretty indecisive, but she was incredibly patient and never made me feel like I was taking up too much of her time (even though I was there for a little over 3 hours). She was great at helping us pick out dresses with the perfect style I was looking for on top of simply being enjoyable to be around. She even took amazing pictures for me so I could send them to my maid of honor who couldn't be there that day. She also captured the moment when I rang my bell and hugged my Mom on film for me. She also never made me feel pressured to buy a dress, but she did tell me everything I would need to know about every single dress (the earliest they could be in, how the alterations department would take them up, the way light would hit them in my outdoor wedding). When she told me that my favorite dress was actually being discontinued I knew immediately that it was the one and that I couldn't imagine not having it at my wedding, and that anything else just wouldn't be right. It wasn't just Patty though, every single consultant who walked by, or was helping people near me was very kind and polite. If I had to complain about anything it wouldn't have anything to do with David's bridal itself, it would be some of the people's kids in there! Geeze, some people need to realize that a 7 year old boy will not be interested in wedding dress shopping for very long and is going to end up being disruptive. read more

Sorry but you aren't on that level. My mother was going to purchase a dress for her vow renewal and I was planning on bringing in my 7 bridesmaids to purchase their dresses but that will not happen. 2 stars for the fact my friend got a prom dress and it was about $120- so cheap. As far as the staff- could be better. Like by a long shot. I was carrying about 4 dresses- one was fairly poofy and big, but I liked the top and wanted to try it. My friend and I stood for about 30 minutes just holding our dresses waiting for our names to be called. Finally a saleswomen told us to go ask if there was an opening so we went and finally got taken back. The girl that helped us was so rude. She glared at me and my dresses as she took us back. Every sales person stared at me in awe- like trying on a poofy prom dress was a sin (it wasn't even the biggest they had by a long shot). She the us into one of the smaller dressing rooms together and we tried on the dresses. It was insanely hot in the fitting room area, and there were no mirrors in the room. My friend and I had to go out to look in the mirror, sometimes the dress looked horrible and I got more stares. None of the dresses fit me well but my friend found one and so we went to enquire about ordering. We were carrying our dresses (so they didn't have a ton in the room) and we had to ask the woman multiple times where to put them. The rude blonde asked us accusingly if we were going to get anything. My friend said yes which shocked her. She said she'd have to find her iPad so we stood awkwardly for 5 minutes as she rushed around and argued with her coworkers about who had it last. Finally she enters the dress details, rudely announcing the size and kind of gawking (it wasn't a size 2 like you, sorry we aren't perfect) and she tells us it's this dress or no dress and that it wouldn't be in in time. My friend calls her mom and is talking as we are rushed to checkout where the nicest lady greeted us. She waited until my friend was off the phone, was extremely helpful and sweet. She gave us a coupon to scratch off and she saved $20. The final lady gave this review a star and the selection for my friend as well. Had some of the worst customer service here over 3 visits. Should have heeded the other poor reviews. If you make an appointment to find a dress expect your assistant to spend most of her time getting called away to help other parties. For the most part the two people I brought with me had to help me find and try on dresses. I ended up finding and buying a dress here but I now regret it. I love my dress, I just despise having to work with these people. The dress I bought needed a few repairs done (reinforcing some beading) which was included in the price and no problem. Picking it up was another story. Took over 30 mins for them to just *find* the dress. Then they wanted me to try it on.. But it hadn't been altered only had beading reinforced. I have no complaints about the alteration department, they missed a spot where a thread had pulled loose and they fixed it on the spot. Very happy with their work. I had also ordered a veil. When I went to pick that up an associate immediately took my name and said she would go find it. Fast forward 25 mins and here she comes from the front of store. I ask her if she's looked for my veil and her response "Oh I'm going to look for it now." So I wasted my time standing around waiting while she was somewhere chitchatting with her friends.... Very unhappy with this stores' associates. I will not be having my dress altered here after this experience, I don't care if I have to pay twice as much it'll be more than worth it for decent customer service. I highly advise any future brides to look elsewhere. I'm also telling my bridal party to avoid this place. I regret spending my money here. Also - Pay no attention to the comments from "Kim H." the supposed business manager that is replying to these reviews. She never sends any info or attempts to reach out. I had a great experience here. They had so many different styles and sizes, I was able to find one that fit my price range and a dress I could see myself walking down the isle in. Also had a huge variety of brides maid dresses. Were not horribly priced and had a huge selection of colors, which I liked. Only draw back is the consultant and the dressing rooms. She was very nice and helpful but was working with more than one bride so always seemed distracted or could not find her. Also the dressing rooms were so very very small. The David's Bridal of Duluth is absolutely terrible. I was there to pick out bridesmaid's dresses, and my consultant was incredibly rude. I had previously told her (when she asked) that I did not get my gown at David's Bridal. Well whenever we were in the fitting room, I heard the bell go off, and I asked her what that meant. She said, "That means a bride found her gown, but you wouldn't know anything about that now would you." SO RUDE. She was also very snappy, and didn't take time to talk to us about the dresses. She would just take off and disappear. I am very sad I had this experience. I would not recommend David's Bridal to anyone. I would say go to Affordable Bridal in Buford. Cannot stand David's bridal!! I purchased my wedding dress a couple of years ago and the experience way OK at best. My BIL is getting married this year and his fiancé insisted that we purchase out dresses from David's bridal. I live in another state and it has been a nightmare trying to track down my dress. I had to change my address (2 months before the dress was due to ship) and was put on hold 5 times, hung up on twice and then told me that they couldn't guarantee that they could help me. I called back a couple of months later to get the tracking information, was told by the tracking department that they couldn't help me and to call the store. The store said that there is only 1 person on the entire staff who could look up tracking information (seriously?!). I am on the phone now and have been put on hold 6 times and treated horribly by the associate "helping" me. I absolutely cannot stand David's Bridal and do not recommend anyone to shop there. read more

EXCELLENT STYLIST EXPERIENCE!!! My future daughter-in-law and I had the good fortune to work with Sarah, a stylist at this David's Bridal location in Duluth, GA. I would highly recommend her to anyone! We have been on the wedding dress hunt for a couple of months now and visited more than a few shops when we walked in to this shop a couple of weeks ago and were greeted by Sarah. She has the most bubbly, enthusiastic personality- You would have thought she was shopping for her own wedding! But most of all, she was so knowledgeable and considerate and really took the time to help us figure out the style of dress that was just perfect. She made us feel like we were VIPs and made the whole process effortless. I have 2 more sons to marry off and will recommend her to their future brides! Thank you, David's Bridal! read more

I went into this particular David's Bridal. This rating is specifically for the David's Bridal at Gwinett Place before I explain everything. I scheduled an appointment at 9:30am for a Saturday morning and explained that my purpose for coming was to try on the wedding gown I purchased some place else with undergarments that they carry in the store. The person that was assigned to assist me was being ran around all over the store for other people and not helping assist me when I had an appointment scheduled. When she finally decided to assist me she did not know where the undergarments were located in the store so she ran all over the store again. I am not sure if this person is weekend assistance but she does not know where anything is inside of the store. She asked another sales person if they carried a bra I needed and that person immediately said they did not carry it without even looking and she was stationed at the register. It was after I tried on my slip and some bras that appeared to be the one I was looking for when I looked over at the garters and found the particular bra that I came into the store in the first place for, it was right at the front desk register as clear as day and I've never worked in a David's Bridal and I do not periodically go into David's Bridal. The sales representatives are lazy they do not like to provide the customer service they are suppose to provide either go to another David's Bridal in a more affluent neighborhood or go to another bridal salon to receive proper attention and treatment. read more

Went in after making a frantic appointment the night before, I was incredibly nervous, as the last time I was in a David's Bridal, I was a bridesmaid, and ended up walking out with a dress that I looked like a pickle in. This was not the case this time. My associate, Dany, was incredibly kind and helpful, and made me feel at ease. She brought me a variety of dresses, all beautiful, but it was actually the first one she showed me that ended up being The Dress. Nailed it on her first dress!
