One of my good friends got married a few years ago and we got all of the bridesmaid dresses from David's Bridal. The dresses were roughly a hundred dollars. I ordered my dress from the Gwinnett Place Mall David's Bridal and the associates were very helpful and friendly. When I went for my fitting there was so many nervous brides selecting their dream Cinderella gowns. The union of marriage is a sacred bond and even if you're not the one getting married, once you step into David's Bridal it consumes you. Although the dress selection at David's Bridal was very nice and is available in average and full figured sizes, it can be limiting. Unlike boutique bridal shops, David's Bridal has exclusive brands. Terrible service and terrible customer service, i got engaged and had only 5 months to plan my wedding, thought to go to davids bridal since they are so big and popular, however it was all a big headache. My bridal party was big, so i tried to get everyibe in there at once. 1. They didnt tell me until after i picke out my bridesmaid dresses and some of the girls bought them that they had stopped making that dress and there might not be any in stock, thankfully all the other girls got there fittinf and ordered it the next day 2. After i picked out my flower girl dresses and wrote down the names of the girls, one of the mOms went in and they had nothing on file, called up db and told the sales lady the style and color the mom went in 15 min after and they AGAIN did not have it on file, terrible terrible service. We ended up purchasing online. 3. No one called me to tell me my bm dreases were in, so i called them twice on the same day to MAKE SURE everytjinh was ready, she said everything was ready, which i was ok about, however when one of the moms went to pick up a dress, the dress was not ready and the sash was the wrong color, ridiculous This was a terrible experince for me, honestly i understand mistake here and there we arw all human, but this was just terrible. I hadnt been stressed about anything in my whole entire weddinh except db they made me so mad an stressed i cried!!!!! Had a great experience looking for wedding dresses for the first time today. I'm not from the area but I plan on marrying here so I stopped by with one of my bridesmaids who lives in the area. I worked with Ashley and she was very attentive to all my requests. She found dresses in my price range, with the details I wanted, and never made me feel pressured, rushed, or uncomfortable. I narrowed my options down to two dresses that I really love but I will return with my family, MOH, etc to make the final call. read more

Horrible experience! Walked in not knowing I needed an appointment and was greeted with nothing but rudeness at the door. We were told that we wouldn't be helped and weren't even able to stay and browse without an appointment. The lady was so cold, not even interested in helping us set up an appointment for later in the day or anything. I just got engaged, it was my first experience trying to do anything wedding related, and it was terrible. Had my sister visiting so we could try to wedding dress shop specifically! I had a great experience! The only reason why I'm giving 4stars is because I came in to look around without an appointment and the greeting lady was a bit rude about it. I came back the next day with an appointment and I was paired with Barbara! She is simply amazing! Very professional, she answers everything with "absolutely"! I could have asked her to look for a crazy dress and she would reply with absolutely!!! She didn't give up on me! My wedding is in December and I didn't have a dress yet! Everyone here was extremely rude and not helpful at all. When I waled in the store I was yelled at by an employee for having a drink, which was in a closed container. I am a diabetic and it helps to have a sugary drink on standby for times by sugar gets too low. They didn't ask or let me clarify as to why I had the drink in the first place. Instead she yelled at me in front of numerous customers which was highly inappropriate. The girl they put us with also seemed to be a teenager and told us she didn't know much about dresses....? This is a complicated situation but overall an experience that makes me hesitant with any future assigned brides maid dresses from David's Bridal. I tried on a dress and preordered it at the Buckhead location and completed the order through the Duluth location. All style numbers and prices were confirmed before I was charged and I was contacted as soon as it was received. It came in on a Monday and I was not able to make during business hours till Thursday. When I went to pick up the dress, I immediately realized the location was not where I tried it on but was the correct place to pick it up based on phone records. The front desk clerk/greeter by the name of Nikole immediately began arguing with me instead of just quickly checking my name in the system. She was passive aggressive about why I was mixing locations and I immediately felt stupid and unwelcome in a field and subject I am not trained in (wedding planning, etc.). After getting the dress in my hand, I noticed it wasn't the style nor color that I ordered. When I stated it wasn't the dress I ordered, Nikole continued in front of customers and staff that "it is the dress you ordered because it's in your hand." She giggled and continued to make me feel and look like a fool instead of just beginning to help me fix what I obviously needed help on. I almost left and didn't handle my situation under the impression that there was nothing they were going to do. This is not a an employee/face that should be representing this company nor this location. She did not even come across with someone who had good training or experience in customer service. One of the main tips I've gotten in my years of school and experience in customer service is that customers do not ask stupid questions and if they do, they are not to be treated as if they should know better. After finally getting to speak to the manager by the name of Ambience, we were able to begin figuring out what to do next. Ambience checked what stores had the dress I needed and was able to find it in a store in Cali whom could overnight it in order for me to have it by the time I left town. She spent a good hour making sure that we had an estimated time to get it and I left the store with a tracking number and hope to see the correct dress soon. The next morning came and I saw a notification on the UPS site that stated the hurricane in the southeast would delay most shipments. (Side note: I got a notification this morning that the dress finally arrived - four days after it was ordered.) I called Ambience in a panic whom answered the phone stating she was just researching it and that the dress didn't look like it had left California yet. Come to find last minute there was the dress I needed in the store all along. This was confusing because to avoid any over night shipment at all, they could have just fitted me in that dress from the start. She had stated they didn't have the dress in the store and that's why we had to order one from across the nation. I'm not sure what happened there in regards to the convenience of the situation. An hour before I had to leave town, she stated we'd need to be safe and jump on the one they had in the store and that it was a longer and larger version of the style I needed. I raced there to where I was met with the information that the alterations lead employee had JUST gone on lunch when there was already knowledge I was racing on time to get it done. After reminding Ambience I was short on time, she stated there was another woman that could help me ASAP. She walked me to the back and introduced me to a Spanish older woman (whom I have not gotten her name yet) who sort of freaked out quickly when she realized I might have to drive all the way back to town to pick it up since I had to leave soon for rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Ambience had offered to personally meet me that night or the next morning to make sure I got the dress on time. So I had to remind the alterations clerk that she didn't not HAVE to do it under the 20 minutes that I had. During the fitting, she asked what length I needed the dress to be, I stated that I needed whatever length I would have gotten in the mail if the dress I originally ordered had come in. She asked me to show her which style and when I showed her, she snatched the exact length dress and size I needed off the shelf that was already in the store! She was able to do a fitting and alterations in 30 minutes! A alterations ninja! After she saw me try the dress on for confirmation, she yelled in excitement in (1) how good it fit on me and (2) how quick she was able to complete it. There were quite a good number of alterations she had to do and she nailed them all! I was still late for rehearsal but had the dress in hand without having to drive back. Ambience went out of her way (past what was necessary knowing the dress we needed was six feet away) to make sure I was calm and hopeful in getting the correct dress on time. My first experience at a David's Bridal was in Savannah, GA as a bride and it was awful. The staff was just the worse! Flash forward 8 years later and I was in need of a cocktail dress for a friend's upcoming wedding. I searched two malls and various stores and found nothing I liked. Dawned on me to try David's Bridal, but I had low expectations. Barbara helped me right away and was amazing! This updated review is for the alterations department at this particular location of David's Bridal. I had my final fitting over the weekend and dealt exclusively with Sandra, who was also the lady who had pinned me up at my original fitting. My appointment was for 4:30, but honestly, I probably could have dropped by at any time and picked up the dress (and I sorta wish I had), because the alterations department was empty. At some point, while in the changing room, I overheard a customer come in stating she had a 5:30 appointment to pick up her dress, yet at that time it was only 4:38 (yes, I looked at the time on my phone). So yeah, I think it would have been OK to come in earlier as long as it wasn't TOO early. I am totally pleased with my dress. With the shortened straps and hem taken up, it fits like a dream. They also fixed the hook and eye closure for free. Sandra was perfectly pleasant and polite. I signed for my dress and was on my way quickly. I still think the prices are steep for what I was getting, but at least the work was excellent. read more

I came here after I went to a "high-end" boutique that was closer to me. My plan was to find the fit I wanted and come here to find the dress. I booked my appointment online and showed up about 10 minutes early. The appointment window is 90 minutes here and it was very crowded. My rep was Dianna. I told her what I wanted and she proceeded to pull dresses that were the exact opposite of what I asked for. I stressed over and over and even showed the picture of a dress I would like and the price point. I'm not sure if they have to push certain dresses on you but it was not a good experience. I had an appointment here on March 9 and 10th to go find my wedding dress. My experience was amazing and my consultant Ashley was instrumental in making the experience memorable. She was extremely positive and so sweet and genuine. She was patient and listened to my concerns and gave me honest feedback on my dresses. I initially went in with a budget of up to $1000 but really wanted to stay within $500 range but as soon as I got there I started pulling dresses that were well above $1000 and never once did Ashley push me towards those higher end dresses needlessly. I did end up getting a dress right on budget but I never felt pressured or "sold" on the higher ranges. The place was very busy and our attendant had to juggle quite a lot of people, though she was still personable and attentive. My biggest up vote for this location is that when I came to pick up my bridesmaid dress, I was caught in traffic and missed the closing time by 30 minutes. An employee was kind enough to notice my sad face peering inside and opened the door to talk to me. She thankfully allowed me to pick up my dress so I didn't have to make the long drive again. Not only did we find one gorgeous dress but 3, I found myself crying with tears of joy , my daughter had a great time and I loved taking pictures of her without being told to put up my phone!! Hands down the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I've gone in circles with this company's "customer service" chat line that every single extension on the customer service phone number sends you to and therefore can never speak to an actual person. I've been informed my dress has gone from 12 weeks time needed to cut make and send, to 14, 18, now 20 weeks. I am floored. How in the world can you have such a drastic change on a dress for a WEDDING?! And you're supposed to be in the wedding business? I have never been so disgusted by a company in my entire life. When I receive well deserved customer service and support, I must speak about my experience. I'm in two weddings coming up in July 2021. I ordered my dress for both weddings, but one of them didn't arrive as of yet. I panicked and I felt that I needed to get a back up dress just in case. David's Bridal at Mall of Georgia is 5 minutes from my house, so I went there. I explained to Alaina what the issue was, what style and color I needed and she came through. The dress I originally ordered wouldn't be available in time for the wedding, but I'm super satisfied with the end result. I was hesitant to go to any Davids Bridal based on the mixed reviews, but one persons "bad" experience is not indicative of another's. I went to this location twice and Buckhead once. All three experiences were stellar! ALL staff members were overwhelming nice, exceptionally accommodating, and patient. Yasmine was my consultant who went above and beyond both times and I would recommend her to anyone!! Here are my personal recommendations: don't go to Davids just once. If you didn't mesh with your initial consultant, choose someone else for your second appointment. They have a ton of dresses and one appointment will not allow you enough time to get to even a quarter of them. Be open to try on any style dress. The one you think you love may take a backseat once you see yourself in something different. If you have wicked high expectations of drinking champagne in your suite of a dressing room then yes, go somewhere else. If you need your surroundings to be quiet and serene try Davids on a weekday as weekends, of course, are going to be busier. Don't bring your entire wedding party with you. Not only will they all be in the way of staff trying to accommodate, but they will also add to your own confusion of what YOU want. Ps. I bought my dress at Davids Bridal yesterday, and the dress shopping appointment went literally as well as it could have! Megan Bredahl was our shopping assistant for our appointment, and she was amazing! She made me feel comfortable, and she had an instant understanding of what I wanted. The first dress she picked out ended up being perfect! I can't thank her enough for making me feel confident, special, and genuinely excited for dress shopping despite my prior anxiety and feelings of insecurity. I visited David's bridal today because my bridesmaid dress no longer fits me, which was very disappointing for me to come to terms with. The wedding is a month away and I was in a rush to exchange it in a size up. Nataly helped us as soon as we entered the door, found the dress for me to try on, and offered great recommendations on how to save money with alterations. She arranged to have it be delivered even sooner than we had been told when I called earlier that day in order for there to be enough time with make an appointment with alterations without a rush fee. It was only $20 out of pocket to make that happen. She truly went above and beyond to help resolve the situation, and I truly appreciate her kindness and understanding. read more

Please, please, PLEASE!! Whatever you do, do NOT go here!!!!! The absolute worst place you can ever go to get any kind of dress, but especially the worst place to get your wedding dress. I am the maid of honor for my sister's (Meghan) wedding. When we first went there for her wedding dress, everything was fun, lighthearted, the associate we had was helpful, we didn't have to wait to be seen for her appointment. Everything went pretty smoothly the first time around. But every other time with them..... A FREAKING NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!! The second time we had to go there in January, we went to get mine and my little sisters bridesmaids dresses. We had the same associate as before, but she was not helpful whatsoever. The first time we came, she helped pick out a size close to Meghan's size. The second time, she did not do that, and she told us the largest size they had in the store was a 12.... I am not very skinny, and have been struggling with my weight, so this really did not make me feel good about myself, as a size 12 for a dress is not that big. We find our dresses that day and pay for them, and they tell us they will be ready around the middle of February. We are perfectly fine with this. My sisters dress is ready in February, although when we go to pick it up, her dad could fit his whole fist and more inside the back of the dress because it was so large on her. Mind you, we did not pick the size. The associates measure and determine the best size for you, based upon their measurements. So it had to be returned, and ordered it in a different size. Well now we're getting into the middle of March and I have yet to receive anything that my dress is ready, so I call them. I am told my dress will not be delivered until May 30th!!!!!!!! We ordered this is January, and the wedding is June 11th! So we have to go back, find a new dress off the rack, that was actually in a size 18. They had sizes going into the 20s sitting on the racks, unlike our lazy, uncaring associate had told us. This size is also 2 sizes different from what I was originally measured for, and had to ordered my original dress to be in. We are eager to find a new dress, so we find one that is in the right color, looks great, doesn't seem to have anything wrong with it, so we do an even exchange. We come back about a week or two later for my alterations along with my little sisters, as the reordered dress had arrived. Everything is going okay, but then I find a big oil stain on the dress. I had not once taken it out of the bag after I took it home, because I didn't want anything messing it up. So we had to reorder my dress now. Luckily we were able to order the same one for it to arrive in April. And please keep in my mind that this is my experience..... this isn't the brides. Meghan had more issues of her own, along with the bridesmaids dresses issues, that they had to comp everything else we would do with them, because we were not going to pay another PENNY to these people. And when Meghan went to pick up her wedding dress and my little sisters bridesmaids dress, IT WASN'T READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently, someone had rescheduled them in the system for the next week, but we watched them book our appointments. The computer they booked our appointments at was not at the front desk, it is just sitting on a little stand near where the changing rooms are, and it faces out where everyone can see what they are doing. So we could clearly see when they scheduled her and my sister for. When I came for my alterations, everything goes smoothly and the manager is there. They get me squared away, and we were good to go. I picked up my dress the other day, although they couldn't seem to find my appointment in the system, and 2 associates checked, but whatever I guess. I try on my dress, all I needed was it to be hemmed, and it turned out really good. So Kudos to them for doing one thing correctly. The bride, Meghan goes to pick up her dress today..... they are missing 2 buttons on the dress, the buttons that were put on the back of the dress were not straight, and the people there apparently couldn't tie her bustle for squat. All the manager is doing is saying sorry, and that they have already comped things for her, but she had comped things for her over a month ago because of all the issues we were having, and here they are continuously fucking up some more. The only thing to make this experience right for especially the bride, the one person you should be trying to make this easier on because she is having to plan a wedding and it is supposed to be exciting and fun, would be to refund every single fucking penny that has been spent with you guys. The amount of gas that we have had to pay to continuously drive up there, the total lack of customer service by the uncaring and lazy staff, the amount of time that has been completely waisted with these people, and the amount of stress that this whole experience has been. However, if you can spend more and want customer service, I'd suggest Bravura and then New Natalie's- with New Natalie's being the least expensive of these two. My SIL found her dress here so i said "why not?!" and went searching on their website. I found the dress i wanted(Vera Wang) and located it at this store. First, I went to the DB Boutique in Buckhead and tried on some and i thought i found my dress but the initial one i saw online was on my mind so i went to this location. It was on a saturday so of course they were super busy. My SA had another customer and she juggled us ok. Luckily, my dress was on the clearance rack in the size i needed in mint condition. I wrapped it up and was good to go!!! Service was ok and my dress was good for ceremony only. Why the 1 stars? DB and affiliates will NOT stop contacting me!!! I went to their website and changed my info to something i dont even remember anymore but i still got emails from so many different companies. Not only emails but also mailings!!! Recently Men's Wearhouse sent something to my place of WORK. I NEVER provided that information to them and was appalled!! I promptly got on the phone with a courteous gentleman who emailed their corporate office and he gave me a confirmation letter AND i chatted with a lady who said she would do the same thing. IF i receive anything else from DB & co, i will be reporting them to the FTC! Unfortunately, i found the dress for my bridal party from there and we would have to go back to get a 20% off discount because i bought my dress from here. I have been here twice to shop for my bridesmaid gowns. The first experience I was in and out without much fanfare. The last time I was here in December was a headache. I explained to the assistant that I had recently had surgery and was a bit bloated and not in my normal clothing size. I told her I was unsure what size dress I would be. Normally I'm a 6 or an 8, but probably should try a 10. She pulls the dress, I try it on, and she then proclaims "I can't even zip it up". Thanks lady. I'm like well I wont need this size the wedding is in June, so I'll get a size smaller. Do you know this woman who doesn't know me from Adam, tells me that a lot of people plan to lose weight but don't do it, and I shouldn't order a size smaller. Really? Those are your sales skills? I tried to have a conversation with my husband about the dress, and she came and stood between us. It was the strangest most uncomfortable experience I have ever had. We had to meet people for lunch, so we left. I knew I had to get the dress from a David's Bridal, but It definitely wouldn't be this one. The David's Bridal in Buckhead was awesome. One star for the large selection of dresses that fits just about any budget, but that's probably the only thing this place has going for it. I work in the retail setting, and every company I've worked for emphasized customer service and satisfaction. I've had 10+ years of retail experience, so I get it when you're crazy busy or come across someone who, no matter what you do, you can't please. So having walked in the retail employee's shoes, I try to be extra patient and understanding whenever I'm on the opposite side of the counter as a customer. This particular David's Bridal has worn down my patience over several negative encounters, so congratulations. You have lost my business. It all started when my best friend was getting married. Her wedding took place this past May. A few months before her wedding, I told her to try on her dress. She had purchased the dress the year before, but sheepishly told me she hadn't actually tried it on since she received it. OK, 100% her fault, but she was out of town a lot due to work. To her horror, the dress wouldn't zip up all the way. Originally she tried the dress in size 8. The consultant at the time thought that was a tad big, so she was told to order a size 6. She didn't want to go with the smaller size, but who was she to argue with a "consultant" who is supposed to be an expert? I told her to call David's Bridal and explain the situation, because having spent $1,400 on a dress, I was sure they would make it right, especially since she ordered the wrong size dress based on what a consultant told her to do. She called and spoke with one of the managers, Valerie, who unsympathetically asked in not so many words if she had gotten fat and that it was essentially her fault for not having tried on the dress after she got it. Planning a wedding is already stressful enough as is. And I'm pretty sure her ribcage didn't magically expand. She was told the size 8 wouldn't come in until a week before her wedding. I told her to discuss it further with the manager to see if she had the option of exchanging it with a dress of equal or lesser value that would come in time for her to have alterations done before her big day. After some discussion, she was told to come to the store and they would help her sort it out. She hung up the phone, and I spent the next 30 minutes trying to calm down a hyperventilating bride-to-be. When we got there, thank goodness we had one of the sweetest employees (maybe Brandi?) to ease my friend's fears. She told my friend not to cry, and that she was a bride herself and understood completely how she felt. The dress could be ordered in size 10 and would arrive in a month, which gave her plenty of time for alterations. Crisis averted. However, it shouldn't have been an experience like pulling teeth. Her expensive dress was brand new and unworn except the one time she tried it on and realized it didn't fit. A simple exchange would've been sufficient minus all the sarcastic comments from your manager that caused my bride so much grief and anxiety. Fast-forward to my engagement. I was a little hesitant in making my appointment with David's Bridal to look at wedding dresses because of the way my friend was treated. I figured I'd give David's Bridal a second chance, because everyone deserves second chances. Maybe I would work with a consultant who is nice and knows what she's doing. When I arrived at the store, guess who was manning the greeting desk? Valerie. I stood in front of the counter, in front of her, for a good 30 seconds before she even acknowledged me. I always offer a simple, "Hello, I'll be right with you" whenever I can't get to my customer right away. Honestly, I have never met anyone that treated clients with such rudeness before I met Valerie. She just shows an extraordinary amount of disdain, and I can only imagine why David's Bridal would put someone like that at the greeting desk where first impressions are so important. She asked me when I was getting married, and I told her October of next year. She rolled her eyes at me as if it was a crime to start dress-shopping that early. She told me I was early and my consultant wasn't ready for me, and to go browse some dresses while I waited. She would page me back to the greeting desk when they were ready. Fine. 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I wandered back to the front desk. Valerie had an "oh crap, I forgot about her" look and immediately paged a consultant. I tried on about 7 or 8 dresses. My consultant was sweet, but she kept asking "Are you saying yes to this dress?" No. I would hand you my credit card if I wanted it. Today, I went in to buy some swatches. I stood at the register for a good 5 minutes, in perfect peripheral view of, you guessed it, Valerie. She blatantly ignored me until someone else helped me. That was the last straw. Someone please put this lady out of her misery. She 100% hates her job and has no problem showing it to your paying customers. read more

It's unfortunate because I personally got decent service at this location, but because the chain as a whole sucks and resides in the seventh layer of hell, I can't really recommend anyone coming her. Shop local. Go find local shops. If your bridesmaids are in other states, find a designer who sells their bridesmaids dresses in other stores where they live. Just don't come here and save yourself the trouble of having your girls mocked and ridiculed. read more

Everyone's energy level is a zero. Didn't make me feel like I needed or wanted to buy something from the store..I will say I walked in however no one was in the store and I noticed all the employees just standing around. I asked what would suite my frame well and it was a an awkward silence as the employee did not know what to say.. one of the Caucasian employee was very rude to my mom. Absolute worst experience of my LIFE. The women were rude, they did not get the right bridesmaids dresses. The only one that came in correctly had a broken zipper. I never got the shoes I ordered, or a refund. Many of my girls were not able to get a refund either. I was pressured into buying the wrong dress by the sales woman by telling me I wouldnt find another dress my size and long enough, even though there are TONS of places and dresses that fit me great. Their stuff looks and feels cheap. You will see so many people in the dress you wore. The girls who work here are awful and do not care about you at all. They care about commission. For the love of god go somewhere else! These people are a nightmare. I suggest Alfred Angelo. Same prices, much better quality and staff. read more

2 out of 3 ain't bad. My experience at the Duluth David's Bridal in 2009 wasn't good. Consultant didn't show up for my appointment, and had a hard time getting the back-up consultant's attention to get my dress ordered, so ended up walking out and picking up an off the rack dress order at the Athens DB. My sister had a fine experience at the Athens DB in 2013, got a beautiful dress, everything went smooth. Then another friend had a fantastic experience at the Duluth's DB with consultant Cegey (Caegy ? Sp?) she was really wonderful! They weren't selling brides anywhere in this store! But actually our consultant/stylist or whatever there title is never showed at our appointment. I mean, what's the point of making an appointment if they're not gonna show up? This is why America has such a high divorce rate read more

I went in to look for a particular brides maid dress to my best friends wedding and found it on my own. No one came up and asked if we needed anything. I understand that a lot of the associates were with brides picking out their dresses but I did see some staff just acting like they were doing busy work. Walked out without purchasing anything. My best friend was also there looking for some wedding shoes to go with her dress and again no one helped. read more

If you're looking for a cookie-cutter wedding dress and a disengaged consultant to help you out, this place is perfect. I felt like I was just another customer and that the consultant didn't give a crap about what I was saying or what I wanted. It was the biggest waste of time.
