I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your store. Based on what I endured, I would not--and will not--recommend David's Bridal to anyone I know. From the very beginning, my experience was disappointing. The consultant assigned to me was unprofessional and disengaged. After telling me to pick out dresses, she disappeared. When she returned, she handed me a few gowns with no consideration of my preferences, style, or budget. She made no effort to ask what I liked, and the dresses she pushed were far outside my price range and not reflective of my taste. She also attempted to push overpriced accessories that didn't match the dress and seemed more focused on upselling than helping. The store itself is in desperate need of a remodel. The dressing rooms were cramped, outdated, and frankly, not clean--adding to the overall poor impression. To make matters worse, after I selected a dress, I was charged for a veil I never picked out or agreed to purchase. This kind of upselling without consent is unacceptable. Shortly after purchasing the bridesmaid dresses, my family experienced a series of serious and unforeseen events. My sister and maid of honor was diagnosed with cervical cancer and required emergency surgery. While she recovered, my mother--who paid for the dresses--had to leave the state to care for my youngest sister, another bridesmaid, who has multiple sclerosis. Amid these emergencies, I still attempted to proceed with wedding plans. On May 15th, I learned my fiancé had been unfaithful, and the wedding was called off. I returned to town shortly after--only two days past your return policy--and came directly to your store to request a refund. I was told to speak with the manager, who turned out to be the same consultant I had issues with. Unsurprisingly, she refused to help. Given that her commission may have been impacted, I question whether this decision was made with fairness or integrity. Once the final bridesmaid dress arrived, I brought it back to the store to return. The associate who helped me was once again rude and dismissive. At a time when I am dealing with major personal and financial stress, this behavior was deeply upsetting. To make matters worse, your return process for online orders is fundamentally flawed. I had to hand over the merchandise, receipt, and return form with no acknowledgment or proof that the items were received. As a customer, I find it very troubling that there's no documentation provided--it leaves us completely unprotected if something goes wrong. David's Bridal seriously needs to reevaluate its customer service standards, return procedures, and in-store experience. I sincerely hope my feedback is taken seriously and acted upon. Additionally, I want to note that my sister, who has consistently purchased her daughter's prom and homecoming dresses from your store for years, will no longer be supporting your business either. Our family has given David's Bridal ample trust and patronage, and this recent experience has broken that entirely. read more

There's a reason this place has been around forever and is the "go to" for formal dresses. The prices are decent on alterations but they are not cheap. The wait is also pretty long. I came in on a Wednesday at 6:30pm looking for a wedding dress, the lady that helped us was amazing, very funny, kind, and pushed me out of my box. I ended up purchasing a very pretty dress, did my alterations appointment and then it was time for pick up and that's where it went downhill. I looked at my dress before trying it on and there was a huge snag on the front of the dress which then caused the dress to have a "seam" that was not supposed to be there. I had purchased a belt to be sewn onto it. The bright white tulle ribbon was still on the belt. They blamed me saying I didn't say I wanted it gone but I was also never asked if I wanted to keep it or get rid of it (mind you I've purchased many times from David's bridal and anytime I had a belt added they took the ribbon off, keeping it on was never an option because it is just a temporary thing). The friend that was there with me was trying to help the older alterations lady and the DB lady just gave her the dirtiest look and told her to move. My friend, later in the appointment, cussed, the DB lady grabbed her face and put her face as close as 2 inches away, and said please please don't cuss in here, my friend has severe social anxiety, you don't do that to people. If you don't like cussing then just ask nicely, you don't need to touch anyone. A few days ago, I was showing my fiancé the dress since I ended up purchasing a new one that I am absolutely in love with, and, again, I have not touched the DB gown since I picked it up, the belt is not even sewn on! It's falling off, there are pins in the dress which if you take them out, leaves snags due to the type of fabric the dress is. I spent over $200 for subpar alterations, my friend to be thrown into an anxiety attack, and to just feel like an inconvenience to the DB lady. Most definitely will not be going back here for any future formal gowns. read more

Do NOT recommend them for alterations. I had a terrible experience when I went to pick up my dress after it was altered. First red flag, they weren't going to have me try on my dress to see if it fit before I left, my wedding is in less than 2 weeks. At this point they had already pushed back my pick up date another week. I try it on, and where they went to take in the shoulders were sticking out like shoulder pads. I mentioned it to the employee and she said "whoever did this was rushing" .... so she tells me she can try to fix it so I left for an hour and a half (I live over an hour away) so I just stayed in town killing time. I get back to the store and I am walking back to the alteration department and she's walking up to the front of the store with my dress after the girl from the front had already called her and told her that I wanted to try it back on. I said "ma'am I was going to try it back on" well she whips back around and huffs at me. I ask her if it's ok that I try it back on and get a sarcastic "yes ma'am". She made the comment of needing to finish what she was working on. Look I understand everyone is short staffed. I do. But you need to make sure the customers in the store are being taken care of too. I didn't think it was too much to ask for when I paid over $400 for alterations on this dress that costs $600. If you are looking for a place to get that "bridal" feeling... this ain't it. read more

The red dress my daughter wanted they didn't have in her size so we went with a black dress she liked but didn't love to find out later by chance it was Available in her size, so we purchased. We can be nasty and demanding to those who wait on us in the service industry. I like to think that the service industry includes but store sales representatives too. Likewise, I have some unsurity about when I will be making a purchase from them as the venue and date keeps changing for the event. Nevertheless, this young lady not once treated me like an interruption of her day although I may have to make my purchase some where else because of my budget restraints and event timeline. This is where I bought my wedding dress. They have beautiful dresses, and the staff is very friendly. They tirelessly brought me new dresses to try on, and were very supportive. They also do very fast alterations on site. I wasn't as pleased with the alterations done on my dress, because it ended up being tighter than it was supposed to be, but overall they treated the dress well, even doing a more complicated bustle for me. read more

Horrible people. My wife and friend went out dress shopping for her friends wedding. Everything was going great as she tried on a few dresses but when she mentioned she was visiting several shops before buying the attitudes totally changed. Luckily the bride to be didn't hear the witches that work there. The sales lady said to the lady who seemed to be a manager (she was walking around asking how things were) in a nasty attitude "she isnt even buying anything, can you believe this?" to which the manager replies "what? then why is she even wasting our time?" There are far better places that will treat you better that understand that people arnt going to drop a couple thousand dollars without shopping around first. I came in to try on a few bridesmaid dresses. My sales associate was very friendly and helpful (I think her name was Marissa). I pretty much knew what I wanted to try on since I had scoped everything out online first, so I basically just needed her to help zip me up and check the availability of the sizes and color I needed. The store was super busy, although I do confess I came in Saturday about an hour before closing. I will say a couple of the other associates didn't seek very professional. One girl was going on and on about not sleeping and Snapchat and all manner of shenanigans. I ended up not purchasing a dress because the color I needed wasn't available quickly enough for the wedding I am going to be in. I will say it is a bit annoying that you have to have an appointment to try on bridal gowns. My friend wanted to try on wedding dresses and was told she couldn't so it that day because there wasn't an associate available to help her, even though she had the style number and everything from the website and knew exactly what she wanted to try on. read more

Was booked for alterations 3 weeks before my wedding because that's "all they had". An alterations employee called out and I had to wait for another girl to get her alterations even though her wedding is a week after mine. Her appointment was the exact same time as mine. I asked why they wouldn't let me go first and was just told it's bc she arrived a few minutes earlier. Then tried to say I was going to be charged a rush fee when I was already told I wasn't. If I could get a refund on my dress and everything at David's bridal I would and I'll never be returning. So now I'm just curious if I'll even receive my dress on time due to the lack of communication on their end. The first time I came in here , they ignored my bridal fitting appointment and the employee went to mingle with her friends and passed me off to someone else. All around terrible experience both times. Do NOT come here if you want a good wedding experience. It completely ruined mine not once but twice. read more

I went to this location after winning a David's Bridal free pampering session hosted by Mary Kay, and decided to stop by on a whim. I walked in without and appointment, and was tended to right away. I'm the kind of bride that was riddled with fear and insecurity upon searching for my dress. That disappeared within the first 5 minutes of the appointment. I had my heart set on a dress that wasn't available at this location, however, I felt like the consultant (Dylan) really listened to what I wanted and found a beautiful selection for me to try on! He was immensely helpful with consideration of my strict budget as well. Though I ended up finding my original dress at a different location, I didn't feel pressured to purchase and Dylan provided me with an array of information about the process of selecting and ordering a dress. I recommend this site if you want an encouraging and comfortable experience! They have a beautiful selection. read more

My daughter and her friend came looking for Prom dresses. After spending a day looking, trying on dresses my daughter found one she liked, but did not want to purchase until we'd seen it on her. Was told by her associate they would hold the dress til close of business the following day. We arrived with my daughter the next day, and were told by the front door greeter that "they do not hold dresses on weekends" unless a manager gave special permission. Of course, she checked, no dress on hold! My daughters associate had taken they request to a manager and gotten a signature... again we were told "not policy"... I thought it was "funny" that none of the associates knew nothing about this policy. I was not happy. Luckily, we found dress on the rack. Then we were told we'd have to wait for an associate's appointment. Again, luckily, one was available. She tries on dress for us, then we're told she would have to purchase the dress before she could speak with the alteration seamstress. Another check for an appointment... seamstress happens to walk by and says she could fit her right then. If not for lucky timing... we'd have wasted a third trip! Doesn't seem like anyone who works here really knows the policies, or much about customer service... If this wasn't "the dress" my daughter found after multiple shopping trips I would have walked out immediately. Second time in this location... same outcome. WILL NOT EVER BE HERE AGAIN. read more

They refused to take my measurements since my bride didn't get the dress at their location.... poor customer service. They just lost a sale.

I had multiple bad experiences with this place. First, I had a bridal appointment scheduled but no one was really available to help with anything. I tried on 2 dresses that we had pulled off the rack ourselves. They did apologize for that appointment, though. My bridesmaid had an appointment after mine but somehow got mixed up so she got about 30 minutes worth (out of the hour) before they told us it was over. Thirdly, I had bought an accessory (to be added to my dress bought elsewhere) and when asked to sign a receipt saying there are no returns, I said that I wasn't aware of that policy and would not like to buy it for that reason. But she said it was already rang up... so why sign a receipt if I haven't left the store yet? Didn't want to have to deal with anyone else at that point. Overall, just pretty bad customer service in my opinion. read more
