The staff was helpful until I mentioned I wouldn't be doing alterations with them that day since I'm traveling from out of state. Their attitude completely changed--no one helped me take off the dress, and we had to ask for a garment bag. The shift in service was disappointing and made what should have been an exciting moment uncomfortable. Brides should double-check their order details and be aware that the level of service may change if they choose to get alterations elsewhere.

Madison was very nice and worked with me to find the perfect dress. She defiantly had a nice personal touch, even saying that she would come with me to make sure that the dress was altered perfectly. She said that the dress would come in the first week of June (a little over a month before the wedding). It would be little close, but not bad, keeping in mind that the dress would also need to be tailored. We also ordered to flower girl dresses from them because, they complemented my dress so well. A few months go by and the flower girls dresses were supposed to be delivered. Both myself and my sister-in-law (mother of my flower girls) called as well as stopped by to see when the dresses would be in. Every time, the date we were told, would always be moved back. This didn't make me feel good about my dress, because we were cutting it close to begin with. In the end the dresses came in about three weeks late. Of course, the first week of June came and went. Calls were made and estimates of shipping dates were given, but it kept being moved back, again. It wasn't until seventeen days before the wedding, when I called, that I was told that my dress had been in for days. Madison's assistant told me that my sister-in-law must have missed the message she left. That is impossible, she was more excited about the dress than I was, but I did double check with her (no phone call or message was ever left). I made an appointment, fifteen days left, to see how the dress fit. The personal touch from Madison, that I got when I first tried on my dress, was gone. Madison popped in long enough to see how the dress looked. I made an appointment, with her assistant, to go to the tailor. I would meet her at the store ten minutes ahead of time. She would not only drive me there, but she would also carry the dress for me. I came back, ten days before the wedding, expecting Madison's assistant to be ready to take me to the appointment. I saw her in the other room busy with a bride (I already knew what was coming). Madison told me that her assistant couldn't take me and that she was in the middle of doing inventor. She wrote down the directions, wished me good luck, and told me to send her pictures of the dress. I was shocked, but headed to LT Alterations. My sister-in-law was already there getting the flower girl dresses altered (later she said I looked confused and sad when I walked in). We got the dresses figured out, apparently Madison didn't tell her how close the wedding was, but she said she could get it done. Two day before the wedding, I got my dress. The alter was great, but the bustle seemed I little confusing....ok...really confusing. Thirteen white ties made of sheer fabric that she couldn't find during her bustle tying lesson. On the day of the wedding I had three, very patient and loving friends, up my dress for a half hour trying to figure out the bustle. They couldn't find all the little ties or maybe some of them fell off (the tailor said they were delicate). It took the event coordinator, with a handful of pins, to finally get me bustled. I loved my dress, but the games they played with me I could never recommend this business to an blushing bride-to-be.

My other bridal shoppe experiences don't hold a candle to how comfortable and welcomed I felt on both of my visits to Yes to the Dress. So wonderful, in fact, that I swore I was going to buy a dress through them because I believe they DESERVE the business. It's posh, modern, clean. The staff is knowledgeable, articulate and caring. They could have made me feel amazing in almost any dress. Unbelievably, I ended up closing the deal on a 100% custom designed, one-of-a-kind gown after attending the Leanne Marshall trunk show & the savings were significant. It was a win for the shoppe, a win for Leanne, and a major win for me. The excitement level was through the shop roof!! I lost count of the hugs being thrown around. My mom is going back for her gown, my friend's mom is going to visit for hers. For better or worse, I too read a lot of boutique reviews when I was on my search. If you are looking for another style, the staff don't hestiate on going to their other locations to grab a dress for you to try on. The ballroom is large and you don't get overwhelmed since the dresses are all so well organized. The selection is massive with all colors, styles, and aesthetics accounted for. If you are in Philadelphia or the suburbs of Philadelphia, honestly this is the only bridal salon you need to visit! I absolutely loved my experience here for getting my wedding dress and wholeheartedly recommend.

However, the great experience stopped there. I also ordered my bridesmaid dresses through L&H, but when they came in, they were a completely different color. The manager assured me that they would work with the manufacturer to have them reshipped quickly, with a deadline of a month before my wedding (3 of my bridesmaids lived out of town)... that did not happen, and I had to be the one to call continuously asking where they were, until they finally came in just 3 weeks from my wedding (oh, and they still weren't the correct color, but at this point, there was nothing I could do). This is where it all went downhill. I had the WORST experience having my dress fitted. Lucy, the seamstress (who I later figured out was the OWNER), was rude every time I went in there, made my dress fit worse than it originally fit, and made awful body shaming comments to me and 3 of my bridesmaids). Needless to say, I couldn't complain to the owner... My first fitting: Lucy came in for a solid 3 minutes. I asked her to make the bra area smaller to fit my small chest, and she told me to wear cutlets... she then pinned me where I asked her to take it out around my stomach, and bring up the straps somewhat. Then left. I was in and out in 10 minutes. My second fitting: I brought my two bridesmaids thinking their dresses would be in, as it was past the date they promised.. they were not in. My dress fit WORSE than when it first came in. She had not taken anything out of the waist and took the straps in so much that I could barely fit them over my shoulders. I expressed my concern and then sent a detailed email showing how the dress fit at my first fitting, to then, so that she could fix it properly. I was now less than a month out from my wedding and very distraught, but figured I would give them another shot. My third fitting (I requested this one because they wanted me to come back just for a final fitting a week before the wedding, but I did not trust that it would actually fit). At this point, I tried on my dress and noticed where it had been taken out- it was bumpy (I had light beading), so I asked if I could talk to Lucy... in which she came in and said "what's wrong now?". To the BRIDE. I asked her if she had finished taking out my dress, or if she still had to do so, to which she responded "it is done, that is the best I could do", and I explained and showed her that it did not lay flat, that it looked bad, and you could tell it had been taken out. She said again "that is the best I could do, it will lay flatter after it is pressed", turned around, and walked out. I was appalled, but at this point did not want her touching my dress again. I was too scared to complain to anyone or ask her to fix it because I was honestly worried she would do something to mess it up further. I asked around and found another seamstress who could help if I came back in and it still looked bad. Lucy (the owner) also asked my bridesmaid "what she was going to do with what little boobs she had" when she asked to have it adjusted (again, basically telling her to wear a bra), and made my other bridesmaid cry after asking her "what she planned on doing with all her fat" and told her to wear Spanx, when she was 2 months postpartum. Lucy also tailored two of the bridesmaid dresses and made them fit worse than when they originally tried them on (there is a theme here). The shop would not refund them the money. RUN from this place. They made an experience that was supposed to be wonderful, absolutely dreadful.

The dressing rooms were very spacious, as well. After I put on each dress, Jennifer would ask me how I felt in the dress before going out to show my family. She really made the appointment about me and I am so appreciative of that. I fell in love with the second dress I tried on. I was so happy and confident in the dress and finally felt like I had found what I was looking for! They had a fresh bouquet delivered during my appointment which was the perfect addition to the dress trying on experience. Jennifer let me twirl around the store in the dress and helped me picture different moments during my wedding. I had pretty much already said "yes" in my head, but then out of nowhere, my first dance song came on over the speakers. It was in an old building, next to a realtor, with parking in a lot. The inside was old and also beat up, dirty, and dusty but I didn't let that bother me. A woman was working on the sewing machine. I don't know if that's Eric's wife. There's a room to change in the back so I put the dress on and Eric measured it. I left. Eric texted me that the dress was ready Friday morning. I picked it up and it was the perfect length. It looked great! It was taken up at the waist so the pretty bottom of the dress that had an asymmetrical ruffle was not touched. I was very happy with it. Later that day, I accidentally dialed the store number so hung up quickly. Eric saw that I called and called me back to make sure that everything was ok. How nice is that? I highly recommend this shop for anything that you need tailored. They do a wonderful job and it's worth every penny!

Upon entering for a scheduled appointment for my daughter's prom dress we were greeted with our sales consultant Casey, the immediate impression she exuded was one that she was not looking forward to . My daughter needed a larger size gown for which the consultant took her to the back room showed her where those gowns were and explained the process of picking dresses. Once the consultant received more clients she seemed overwhelmed and distracted. My daughter tried on a number of gowns one in particular that she started with she actually did not like and put away however at the end of the process she wanted to try this again on one more time just to make sure. In trying this dress on one more time she decided that she really liked it and asked if it came in a larger size she then proceeded to ask the owner if the dress came in a larger size once the owner came in and looked at my daughter she looked her up and down turned around and never acknowledged her again nor did she receive an answer as to whether the dress came in a larger size. During this whole visit the entire time we were there I was not impressed one bit. The owner was unwelcoming and seemed very judgmental of thse not fitting the "standard." The Consultants were not friendly nor accommodating. In my honest opinion I would never recommend this location for any young lady especially one that requires a larger size. And aside from needing a larger size I would still not recommend this establishment. I personally felt that we were looked at like we "weren't good enough" to be there. Golden Asp----Money has no size.....just remember that when you welcome your future clients.

My Daughters Wedding Dress was destroyed by Davids's Bridal Alterations. I have videos of the Layton, Utah store ruining my daughter's wedding dress. The manager at the Layton store refused to give anyone's name above her at David's Bridal corporate. So I messaged the CEO and VP on Linkedin. See the before and after videos and photos of how the Layton, Utah store manager treats customers after the seamstress destroyed my daughter's wedding dress. Bought her dress in September 2021. April 23 and spent 6 hours with the seamstress and store manager Jamie on letting out my daughter's dress to be flowier and an A-Line. On May 17, three weeks later we showed up to the dress with gathering and fabric added on the HIPS and material added nothing of which we asked for at all. Made her dress uneven and more of a mermaid style, nothing of which was ordered or asked for. The dress bought in September 2021, was beautiful we have a before video, during the alteration session, and after it's horrible. On May 23, The manager Jamie of the store called and said they can't do any alterations just a week before her wedding. Jamie the store manager refused to call anyone above her. I was billed $2169 for alterations. May 23, the bridal party alterations still haven't been touched or done and they prebilled us over $1425 for alterations. We ordered five dresses for the bridal party, but no alterations were done as of today May 23, and my daughter's $2000 wedding dress is destroyed by David's Bridal employee the manager shrugged her shoulders and said I guess Virginia didn't "understand instructions to let a dress out" We are beyond upset. Do NOT USE David's bridal. DO NOT ORDER DRESSES, THEY DO NOt GUARANTEE THEM BEING IN STOCK FOR AN EVENT. The staff is completely incompetent and the manager after having her staff ruin my daughter's dress can't even apologize., instead, Jamie and Gigi were rude, ignorant, and refused to have any sort of solution to her staff destroying a dress. read more

I went to David's Bridal to just look around, I was greeted by a nice girl at the desk who explained how it worked to get registered then get assigned a consultant. After doing so I was introduced and to my consultant and she immediately took me on a tour of the store (which was weird but nice to see everything) we then ended the tour and she explained how the store was set up incase my family wanted to look while we were dressing. I liked that she asked how much was considered to much it was nice not to be surprised about prices after loving something that I could not afford. We got started with a few dresses she indicated the rooms were small and we should take a few and she would retrieve the rest as I said no to some. I had an imagine in my head of the perfect dress, the girl insisted I try on other styles because you may not look how you imagine. I was a little insulted because who was she to tell me what I wanted, but she was right I went in wanted a fit and flare but ended loving an a line that I ended up ordering that day. I have to say it was very busy and I know she was probably dying but she never gave up on me, she pulled any and every dress I wanted to see. She never made me feel pressured to buy, I could have left and she would have been just as polite and helpful as she was the whole time. I went to David's uncertain I had read and heard some bad things but I have to say it was a great experience. I registered and met my sales lady she was very nice greeted me with a smile and a we got started she showed me around the store and explained the store set up. I informed her immediately that I was not in the mind set to buy and had another appointment later that day. She was understanding and more then happy to help anyway. She went above and beyond to meet every need I had, it was a Saturday which is very busy in there and she got another bride but she never left me or the other girl for long. She would go out and get dresses for the both of us. She even at one point was alternating dressing both of us She was great. Sarah helped pick countless styles from the floor to help narrow down what I really wanted. She was extremely patient the entire time, and helped me hone in what I actually liked. I ended up saying yes to the dress - to a dress I did not even ever have in mind- the same day! Granted, it took me a few hours, but she never made me feel rushed or like I was an annoyance (which I'm sure my indecision was...). I thought I wanted a lacy A Line and ended up with a crepe silhouette that she picked out! I loved that she even took the time to let me try on my top 2 choices twice...to really help me decide on THEE dress! I haven't received the dress yet & unfortunately moved from out of town so won't be able to get my alterations here, but she said the dress could even be shipped directly to me. La Belle Mariee checked the boxes, was around the corner from my home for fittings, and I couldn't wait for my appointment! I had the absolute best SALES experience at La Belle Mariee Bridal. Unfortunately selling me things was where any positive experience ended. My consultant was fantastic. She even told me that if I bought a veil there, they'd store it until my wedding along with my dress, and that they lend their sample veils out for hair and makeup trials so the bride's doesn't get dirty. This influenced me to purchase a veil for over $500 because that sounds fabulous, doesn't it? This turned out to be totally untrue. I called to sign out the sample for my trial and was told they cannot honor that promise... only a few months later. Totally surprising and disappointing when one of the reasons I bought that veil was that I could use the loaner for my trial. So that was terrible, but months later, there was more. Sadly, I had to go pick up my wedding dress and veil after they alerted me via a BLAST EMAIL to all brides that they are no longer doing alterations and to come pick your items up. I feel this message should have been delivered via a personal phone call because the impact is significant. It was so impersonal, especially when spending thousands of dollars with them. I would expect this kind of communication from David's Bridal, and there is a reason I never went to David's Bridal. I wanted better, and I deserve better service at this price point on my luxury designer gown. When I expressed to the owner my frustration that the impact is significant to me because I don't have the ability to store my items in my own home due to major construction, and would have to store them at my mom's house and bring them back and forth between there and a seamstress, she told me it's only significant if I choose to make it that way. Nobody cared about my experience as a customer and how stressful this has been for me. If you are looking to buy an experience (one-stop shopping, storage, onsite alterations) like I was, not just a gown, I highly recommend shopping elsewhere. They totally bait and switched on me twice. Now I have had to store my gown at my mom's house, hired a separate seamstress, coordinated driving my dress between my mom's house and the seamstress's house... as if I didn't have enough to worry about as a bride and mother with a full time job. Beyond the initial sale, everything was a disappointment. The right thing to do would have been to honor the commitment to brides who have made their purchases already and offer the advertised onsite alterations to them, but not offer that service to any additional brides. There are a ton of bridal shops in this area.... Wish I'd chosen to look at some of the other shops before ending up at this one. I originally posted this review months ago when everything happened and was contacted by the owner the same day. She asked me to take the review down because it was hurting her business. However, this is simply an accurate account of what I experienced as a customer and I am entitled to share that with other consumers. Instead of accepting that not every customer has a great experience and using the feedback to do better for others in the future, the owner called me twice more asking me to take the review down, then told me that if I did not do so, she would tell the recommended seamstresses in this area not to work on my dress because I am a "difficult customer". I was so angry and sad about all the added stress and cried so much over how I was treated. She scared me and I removed my review. Now that a wonderful seamstress has taken great care of me and everything is complete on my beautiful dress, other consumers deserve to make informed decisions. I hope that this business can accept honest feedback on the experience they provided to me as a customer and use it to do better for others in the future.

However, the experience quickly went downhill. After browsing and not finding anything I liked, the salesperson insisted I try on five dresses she selected. None of them suited my style. I mentioned to my friend that I preferred a dress I'd seen at another store, and the salesperson overheard and asked to see a photo of it. After looking at the photo, she told me she could order the same dress for me. Since I was already there, I agreed. She took my measurements, and when I told her the specific color combination I wanted, she dismissed my choice and insisted on a different color, saying she knew what she was doing. I disagreed, but she assured me everything would be fine and the color combination she was ordering was the one I tried on the other s About a month later, while showing pictures to my sister-in-law, I found a photo of the dress tag and zoomed in--turns out, I was right. The color ordered was not what I had requested. I immediately emailed the salesperson, explaining the mistake and asking her to correct it, especially since the dress wouldn't be delivered for several more months. Then COVID hit. By the time the dress arrived and I went in to pick it up, it was still the wrong color. I told the salesperson, and she brought the owner into the dressing room. The owner assured me they would have the lining replaced by their seamstress to match the correct color. A couple of months later, I went back--but the dress was still wrong. I pointed it out again, and this time the store manager got involved. She insisted it was the correct color until I showed her a photo of what I had originally ordered. Only then did she admit it was wrong and promised to send it back to the designer. When I returned again, the dress had still not been corrected. I almost took it home out of sheer exhaustion--but decided to speak up again. The manager said she'd try one last time, but warned me the dress had been discontinued. At that point, I was devastated. I emailed and asked for a refund, as they had clearly failed to deliver what I paid for. Instead of apologizing, I received a rude email stating that I would now be charged $25 per week for storing the dress and should come pick it up. I responded that the dress wasn't being stored--it was still there because they never got it right. She then offered to ship it to me, but given their track record, I didn't trust them. Eventually, she scheduled a pickup, treating it like they were extremely busy--though the store was empty every single time I went in. After nearly three years, Le Bella Donna was unable to provide the dress I ordered in the color I asked for. I'm now stuck with a dress I never wanted. Thankfully, my wedding was postponed due to COVID, so I now have time to find a dress I actually love from a store that values its customers. Don't be fooled by the store's appearance. Once they have your money, customer service is gone. The staff is rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration.

The quality of all the dresses surpassed what we'd seen elsewhere, and there were many more unique and sophisticated designs available. At no time did we feel pressured to exceed our budget or to engage in the " say yes to the dress " role play (although we did celebrate once the choice had been made). For brides looking for quality material and design, fair pricing, and excellent service and tailoring, I couldn't recommend Nicole's more highly.

I haven't had a dress made, however, I am one of many that have yet to have any outfit, sale or otherwise, that wasn't cool and what I paid for. Good open price points too for all of us. She carries a number of different lines, including Lilla P which I love. It holds up so well year after year and the classic style is what goes on and on.. Her unique pieces are always well put together too and I think the best compliment a woman gets is "where did you get that? I want one." I'd give her 5 stars in a heart beat.
