I wish I could give no stars..... My girlfriend bought her wedding dress and found our bridesmaids dresses here... This place is a nightmare .. Terrible service, slow response to appointments, staff --what staff .. Everything we were told.. When to expect dress, alteration dates, ect was all wrong... We were told we could bring in our dresses to get pressed for free 2weeks before wedding... We went they said nope sorry we need 6 to 8 weeks... Wth to press a dress... I will never ever go back to David's Bridal I'd rather pay 3x the price somewhere else. read more

I liked the people I worked with there until I found out that they basically ripped me off and was just trying to make a sale. I was VERY disappointed in the fact that I went to get my alterations in the IL David's bridal and they said since they sold me a size 16 dress and I'm a size 4 it would cost me more than the dress cost to do alterations. The David's bridal in Milwaukee had a size 6 and told me it wouldn't fit me so they didn't even let me try it on and they also didn't make it seem like it would be hard to alter the dress at all and that was not the case. The seamstress at the IL David's bridal was mortified that they even sold me the dress considering it was nowhere near my size. So I was very disappointed in the fact they did that to me. Especially considering I'm a month out from my wedding and if the David's bridal in IL didn't have my size at there store I would've had to find a new dress and pay extra money to get my alterations rushed. read more

We didn't have an appointment but got in really quick, it was super busy too, the lady helping us was very nice and so helpful, we found dresses that were cute, comfortable and affordable. Great experience as a bridesmaid. I also bought my dress from them for my wedding 4years ago and our bridesmaids dresses, glad to see they still offer great dresses at great prices and have nice and helpful employees. Visited this store to find a wedding dress and a few accessories. Not a single salesperson acknowledged my presence in the store. No one said hello or asked me if I needed help. No one even made eye contact! I encountered a few salespeople in passing (who weren't with other customers) as I browsed... nothing. I also attempted to purchase a small item at the register. Waited in line for 10 aggravating minutes. No one was at the desk. No cashiers came to the front of the store. No one called for any cashiers to come to the front of the store. I didn't understand this, because it wasn't busy in there. There were no fittings or parties in there. So, I left my item there and walked out (and thank goodness I'm married now with a dress from elsewhere so I never have to step foot in there again). read more

Stopped there today for a MotB dress. There was only one bridal party there trying on dresses, not real busy. The clerk put me in a room, didn't ask if I needed assistance and never checked in on me. I was by myself, so you can imagine how difficult it was trying to zipper the dresses. As I walked out, no one asked if I needed anything out if I found what I was looking for. Absolutely the worst experience when it should have been one of the best experiences in my life. First off I wanted a certain item that was said to be "in stock" at this specific store online an hour prior to my appointment. Upon arriving I was checked in and when I asked for the specific item they said they had no idea what I was talking about because "they have never seen this item before". She said I could help myself around the store but did not offer to help me look this item up online, or order it, nor did she ask to size me or offer to show me around to other options that could have worked for me. I had an appointment set up and they should have helped me with my needs. They should have also updated their website as well if they are "out of stock". Never will be going here again. read more

It's just one thing after another with this place - and NOT in a good way. I made an appointment a few weeks back for 3 of my bridesmaids to come in and try things on (the other two were unable to make it that day). The woman I had helping me (I will not say names, however her name started with an O) was very overworked and even more rude. I feel that when I make an appointment, I should have the helper's full attention. This was not the case. O had another larger group of bridesmaids, and barely took my girls' measurements. She had a hard time finding each girls size (it was busy, so they were all probably taken) but whenever a girl didn't like a dress and asked for another one, O rolled her eyes or made a loud sighing noise of clear annoyance. My bridesmaids and myself were severely displeased so we complained to the manager who swore up and down we would have no more problems. Lies. This past weekend I took my sister who is my maid of honor in after making an appointment to get her fitted for her dress. Well, when we first walked in the door I discover my appointment which I made over a week ago was not on their sheet. So I had to wait, and O happened to be the one checking people in that day. She asked a few workers if they would like to take us, and a few of them blew me off and acted like I was a burden. How can I be a burden when they don't do their job and write down a simple appointment?? Finally a wonderful young lady whose name began with an S took care of me. As she was looking at her sheet, she had basically a blank sheet which meant that the girls dresses from a few weeks ago were NOT RECORDED. I was absolutely livid, and I let S know it. However, it isn't her fault and she tried to help me the best she could, but I will never ever go back to this place again after my wedding. If it weren't for a bridesmaid of mine living so far away, I would have said many swear words and said to hell with them. This is long, but PLEASE do not go to them. I hear they are great for wedding dresses, but awful with bridesmaid dresses. read more

Had an appointment for a "foundation FITTING" Arrived a bit early (10 minutes) the woman at the front deck ignored us for at least 5 minutes. Once we introduced ourselves she stated she would send someone to help us out. Waited 1/2 hour while employees were chatting at the counter. Finally another girl sent someone over who did NO measurments and just handed over a few items that were miss sized and walked away. I found most of the employees there to be rude and self absorbed. I scheduled my appointment and arrived a little early. The sales staff was very friendly even though it was really busy due to prom coming up. My assistant was sarah. She was amazing. She found exactly what i was looking for and allowed me to wear each dress as long as i wanted with no pressure. I found my dress within 2 hours. My dress was ordered and came in less than 2 weeks. When I came back to try it on i brought a friend. the staff was very busy but very friendly. They were very kind to me and my guest. I was able to see sarah again and she was very excited to see me and happy that my dress came so quickly. I am very satisfied with my experience and would recommend others to make an appointment with Sarah. read more

Sarah was very helpful! I previously went the Davids Bridal in Brookfield and was not treated well. The lady who was there to assist me with my appointment seemed very flustered, granted it was a busy Saturday but she showed little intrest in me. I tried on a total of 2 dresses and then she politely told me I didn't have many options because of my size and budget.... (RUDE!) I was discouraged to try Davids Bridal again but I decided to try this location. Sarah helped me so much with in all aspects. When it came to shopping, sizing, and ordering she was great help. She was bouncing between me and another bride but she was attentive to the both of us! I went to pick up my dress a few days ago, and Sarah was there to assist me again. She again was so helpful with helping me get into the dress and answering all of my questions. If you go to this location request Sarah she is very helpful! read more

We visited today 10/22/17 with an appointment at 11:00am, we set the appointment up about two months ago. It was 6 girls, 5 were getting dresses 1 was the bride. Upon arrival we were greeted promptly by the lady at the desk. And given our consultant Amy, Amy informed us that she has two groups she's taking care of and we should go look at dresses while she measures the other group. We spent awhile looking and found a lot of dresses then she called us back and took our measurements. A lot of the girls measurements they were given were not accurate. After she took measurements she sent us to look for dresses again while she checked in with her other group. She came back to see how we were doing. I guess I expected them to suggest certain styles based on our bodies etc. They just kept telling us everything we were picking we're special occasions and we couldn't change the colors. Once trying on Initially we asked for different sizes and I'm assuming it was a mis understanding but they said they didn't have them. So we went and got them ourselves. Towards the end when we picked the dress Amy did go find that dress in our sizes. Then purchasing all 5 of us bought this $200 dress and she apologized it was taking so long but it was a long process she's asked for information over and over and put two orders under one person. All in all I would say maybe Amy was new? She was nice she just seemed like she was a little overwhelmed with two groups. There was a manager just walking around why didn't she help? We planned this months in advance and she was too busy to even help us with anything. We did spend $1000 as a group today. So Amy was okay seems like she had more to learn but she was trying. Looks like there could be more management support and better time management. We will see how pick up of our dresses goes. read more

Awful experience. The seamstress destroyed the dress I purchased. I had to purchase a new dress elsewhere and start over 2 months prior to the wedding. I would warn everyone to go somewhere else. I promise you will not be happy with your experience here. I purchased a dress & went to a seamstress & the second dress cost less in the end than the davids bridal dress. Now I have to find a way to get rid of the awful dress from davids bridal. read more

The only reason why I gave David's Bridal 4 stars is they don't have enough inventory available for flower girl dresses. But the associate (AMANDA) that answered my phone call was absolutely very helpful. I called 2 other locations and Amanda was the only one that took the time to explain to me that the dresses I was looking for are discontinued. I tried to order a dress online, the sale price wasn't coming up when I put the dress in my cart. So I emailed customer service as they were closed. I called the next day and talked to someone who said they could order the dress for me on the phone. This guy took all my info, I had to re-spell my name for him three times, give him my address twice, and read him my cc# twice because he kept putting information in incorrectly. I placed the order and then after 3 hours still didn't get a confirmation email. I called and customer service simply wasn't able to help me. The idiot had put in my email wrong after I spelled my name for him THREE TIMES. Now my order is tied to an email address where my name is spelled wrong and they CANNOT update it in their system. The only way to get updates on my order is to go to the website myself and put in the order number and the incorrect email because that is where all the info, including tracking updates and/or backorder information would be sent. They offered me a consolation of 10% off and free shipping on my next order, which is ridiculous because I won't ever order through them again and they ALWAYS have free shipping and little 10% off deals. Poor customer service is huge. Don't hire people who can't listen and type to take online calls... and fix your software so you can update a damn email address in your system. We came in on a Sunday with an appointment, and I felt a lack of organization from the time we came in. We were about 5 minutes early for our appointment, however it took over 20 minutes after my appointment time before I was greeted by the associate assigned to me. My associate was nice and friendly, as was the woman she was training. We were looking at bridesmaid and Mother of dresses and we were seated in the back of the store where there was no seating for my group of 6, only a row of dressing rooms. It seemed like there was no room for us as we had to stand in the gift section area, and when we grabbed a few chairs (my mother is disabled), we were told that we would have to give them up if another party needed them. I felt like that situation could have been handled better. Also, it was clear that my associate was working multiple parties, which I completely understand since it was a weekend. However, besides taking my ladies' measurements and grabbing some size changes, I did not speak with her much, and i was felt rushed. Also, even though I was greeted 20 minutes after my appointment, right at the 1 hour mark (which means we were given 40 minutes to measure 6 people and find dresses), we were told our appointment was over and we needed to wrap things up. I wish they would have communicated that from the beginning. The associates helped my mom find a dress in her size, however they did not give much attention to my bridesmaids or mother of the groom. I find this disappointing compared to another experience I had at another local bridal store. Again, I believe the associate and her trainee were good at what they did, however they may have been overbooked and thus there were some areas that were lacking. I did wait about 3 weeks after my appointment so that I could give a review without my initial frustration to be dominating this feedback. I simply wish that there was a more personal touch and better communication by the team. I gave this same review on the email survey I received. As I have been in customer service for over 10 years, I do have realistic expectations of service, and I do understand that there are situations outside of our control that contribute to 'off' days. I see that others have experienced similar situations on weekends, which is typically the busiest time, I hope this feedback helps the location find a better solution that will meet their business and customer needs. read more

I went to David's today for my very first wedding dress shopping experience. I was so excited to start looking for a dress, and in hindsight, wish I had not started here! I was paired up with a consultant, who clearly could not have put any less effort or care into her job. She started by asking what type of dress I wanted, what style of wedding I was having, etc. I clearly explained that I wasn't interested in wearing white on my wedding day, and was interested in trying on their bridesmaid or formal occasion dresses, instead of a traditional bridal gown. I even showed her pictures of dresses I liked. She brought me a few dresses to the dressing room, then said "you can go ahead and get started," then walked away. Sooooo, I'm just putting these on without any help then? Ok. Luckily, I had my sister there, who stepped up to do the job of a consultant, and help me get the dresses on. It was clear I was not the only bride this consultant was helping, so I saw her only when she walked by to drop off dresses. Clearly, she was putting no thought into the dresses she brought, because after the first 3 or 4, they were all white, traditional wedding dresses! It was almost like she was trying to pick the opposite of what I was asking for. I told her no trains, so what does she bring me? A dress with a huge train! After about 45 minutes, I realized that this consultant had no interest in listening to what I was asking for, so we promptly left. I left that store completely disheartened, feeling like I wanted to cry. If you want to have an experience where you feel like you don't matter, and your opinions are worthless, please head right to this store. read more

If I could give a lower rating, I would. I was there to pick up shoes for a wedding that I was in. I had paid for them over the phone, and the receptionist was extremely rude. She was clearly not interested in talking to me, and made it clear that she had better things to do. When I went to pick up the shoes, she was there and again she was rude, and berated me for not ordering the shoes earlier. After this, I found out that one of the pairs of was not finished (the shoes were dyed) even though the shoes were supposed to be finished the day before. I was told I could pick them up the next day, which was unacceptable. I then opened the box to the other pair of shoes. When I saw my shoes, they looked as if someone else had worn them. There was damage and dye marks all over them. In addition to this, the top of the shoes had pilling on them. Also, they were the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. I reached out to their corporate offices to complain about the service and quality of the shoes, and I was reassured that the district manager would call me within two business days. This never occurred. I will never come back to this shop, and I don't recommend anyone bothering to try this place, even if you are desperate. read more

My experience was a very negative one. When I arrived for my appointment I waited in a line of confusion. When it dwindled down and I got to talk to an employee the first thing they had me do was fill out basic paperwork. I made sure to mark on the paperwork that I didn't want them giving or selling my information to their affiliates. But here I am receiving unwanted phone calls and emails. Complete violation of my privacy! Aside from that, the wedding dress shopping experience itself was disappointing. The dress selection was sub-par and the personnel set to work with me was nice but inexperienced and working with other brides during my appointment. My maid of honor ended up helping me in and out of the dresses and putting them back on the hangers. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere! read more

I was saddened and very disappointed with customer service. I was not the bride but attended with the bride. The bride gave the associate her budget amount, everyone bridesmaids, mother of bride , mother of groom all chose gowns within the brides budget. associate took all gowns to dressing room for bride to try on. The associate did sneak in a dress for bride to try on without brides knowledge of the cost of the gown, not disclosing the price prior to bride trying dress on. Of course bride fell in love with the gown, only to discover the gown was three times her budget amount. Then suggesting that all there could help bride purchase the gown. That associate not only lost that sale ,,,but also the four brides maids and two mothers were picking out dresses to purchase. after the disappointment of the cost and sneakyness of the associate all dresses were placed back on the racks.. we will find another bridal store with better scruples! read more

Would not recommend this place. The consultant I worked with was very nice she was taking care of my niece who was trying on wedding dresses, my sister, my mother and myself were with her for moral support in choosing a dress. There was maybe one other bride in the entire store and the Manger, who I found out was Linda, came over and very very rudely told us we could not stand around the dressing room area we were blocking the aisle. THERE WAS NO ONE IN THE STORE let alone anyone trying to get past us. The consultant was extremely embarrassed by the store managers actions. I, myself, have been in the store on other occasions and have seen brides with bigger party's than ours and they were all standing in the same area we were and no one told them they could not be there. When we told Linda that we were blocking no one and would move if anyone came in the store - she gave us a dirty look and told us it didn't matter we had to move - so we took our bride and our business elsewhere. I felt sorry for the consultant that lost a sale due to the managers rudeness. Thankfully we were all welcomed at another bridal store where we made our purchase. read more

This place is awful! My best friend is getting married and all of her bridesmaids (including myself) live out of town so she decided to have us pick out bridesmaids dresses at a Davids Bridal since it is everywhere. So we ended up getting a few girls together after all and went in to this store. We had an appointment. We waited about 20 minutes after our appointment time to try dresses on then got this terrible girl to help us. We tried on about 3 dresses each to figure out which style is best but they didnt have the right sizes to try on. One of the bridesmaids is a petite girl size 0ish and the smallest size they had was a 4 i think she said! So the girl tried on the 4 and waited for our salesgirl to come back and pin her and she never came back!!! :O We got attitude from everyone that works there and we really did NOT want to buy from Davids bridal but didnt really have a choice. We talked to the manager about our bad experience and she seemed nice enough but just suggested we see her next time we came in. huh? We got $20 off our dresses but def not worth the bad service we recieved! Just now, i called to order my dress and not only did our information not get put into their computer system, but I was told the girl would "call me back because they were busy". I havent heard from her.....sooooo please do NOT go there! It'll just be a headache! Those poor brides :( read more

I went to David's for my wedding dress. It was our 2nd stop and I wasn't looking forward to it because of bad reviews and experience at the David's in Brookfield as a bridesmaid years ago. However, I was pleasantly surprised. They have a TON of selections in a bunch of sizes, although not all of the dresses online. They had some beautiful Oleg Cassini dresses online and they only carry a limited selection of him in store. My first time there wasn't that enjoyable. I felt like my attendant was helping other guests (probably two at once?) and not me when I needed her. My MOH tied up my dress a few times. I didn't find my dress that day (a busy Sunday). However, I came back by myself on a Tuesday (midday) and had Nancy as my attendant. She and I were basically the only ones in the entire store and it was great. She was super helpful and listened to what I wanted. The Assistant Manager Tammy came over a few times to check in. I found my dress and was able to come back later that day to order it with my mom. They said it would come in on a specific date (8-12 weeks out) but actually came in the store within 2 weeks! When it arrived it was damaged, which was heart breaking. There was a pull in the organza and the seams were unfinished. The Alterations Manager Sarah was quick to say they would keep the dress and reorder it ASAP and she would personally inspect it once it came in. (This was great news, however why don't they inspect all dresses?) I picked up my dress on a late Monday night when it came in 2 weeks later. Tammy and Sarah had both inspected the dress and it was perfect. Tammy even helped me wrap the entire thing in tissue paper, the dress bag and a plastic bag to ensure it was safe in the rain. We have our bridesmaid dress appointment next. Hopefully David's delivers on the same experiences thus far! read more

Even six months after my wedding I am still having to deal with this rude company! NEVER will I shop here, nor recommend any David's Bridal location to anyone. To begin with, they treated me as if I were a child when I came in to shop for my wedding dress. Then, they sold me a dress in a color that does not exist for that dress. Which led to four bridesmaid dresses in the completely wrong color. They said it was too late to make the switch so I was stuck with them. Then, two weeks after my wedding dress was supposed to arrive, I call them frantic asking where it was and they tell me that it has been there for three weeks, they just didn't think to call me. Also, they said "we normally don't hold dresses this long so we will need you here within the next day or two to pick it up." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? Then, the day of the wedding as I opened my very expensive wedding dress, there was a rip from my hip to my toes. Thankfully it was not too noticeable, but still. When I called about it, they brushed it off and that was it. Now, they have tacked on an extra $270 for the interest that rolled over when, in my opinion, should have been extended due to the fact that I had to wait for absolutely everything to get worked out. I did not realize this was for the interest and automatically stopped my payment thinking my card had been stolen. When I called to make them aware of the charges, they were rude and told me I would have to call a different number because they "don't handle it". I was still calm. While I was on the phone, I figured I would go ahead and pay my payment since it was due and I knew my card was safe. The oh so lovely customer service representative, Crystal, told me that was fine, but I would be charged an extra $15 for doing it on the phone. I explained to her that I have been paying much more than my minimum payment for months and that I have had this payment scheduled for weeks and cancelled it because I was worried about my card. She told me that I couldn't do it online because it was after 5 (it was 5:08) so I could either be charged the $25 late fee or agree to the $15 phone fee. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I asked if there was a manager I could speak with and she just said no. As many problems I have had with David's Bridal, I would think a $15 fee for being 8 minutes after 5 o'clock could be overlooked. I am not happy with this company at all. I will never recommend them and I do plan to make sure this review is on each and every website I can find to post it on. read more
