My experience here was absolutely amazing. I am the bride-to-be (in Midland), and my mom came in from Houston to work out some wedding details including....the dress. I have to admit, I'm not "that" bride that just loves going in to all the planning details, and I haven't been planning this day since I was a little girl. Strange as it sounds, I was not exactly looking forward to what I thought would be a very daunting task of finding a dress. I love my fiance more than anything in the world, and cannot wait to be married, but I just wasn't in to all the fuss. Well....Sherilyn, my stylist, TURNED THAT AROUND!! I simply adore her. Before ever visiting, I had set up my account with David's website, and saved a number of dresses that caught my eye as "favorites." Even the appointment was scheduled online - very convenient!! My mom and I arrived an hour late (very sorry and embarrassed about that!!), and had called on our way from Midland to Lubbock to let them know. Everyone was so nice!! "That's no problem at all, girl, we'll just see ya when you get here!" Very nice and understanding. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by very professional but very fun ladies who got us ready to go where we met my stylist, Sherilyn. From the get-go, she made me feel comfortable, and my anxiety immediately vanished. Sure, I did my homework online and brought my iPad so I could show my stylist what I was looking for. No need! She had already done her own homework, and had all of my favorites not only printed out on paper, but already pulled from the racks and ready to go!! We had a Saturday appointment, which even online they provided guidance on booking - if you want a more private experience, book during the week, because the weekends are usually busier. As much as I wanted to have as few people as possible, my schedule only allowed for Saturday appointment. For any shy brides, Saturday was a BLAST!! I never thought it would be, but again, I truly attribute this to Sherilyn. Even though it was a little busy it was not overcrowded, and there was plenty of room for everyone. What I didn't expect was how neat it was to see all of the other brides in their dresses, because it really helped open up ideas that I hadn't thought of. I think Sherilyn had me in and out of 15 dresses - haha! By the time we left, we had been there for two and a half hours, but it felt like we had just gotten there! Sherilyn was so patient with me, and nothing but encouraging, sweet, and ready to help however she could. She included my mom 100% of the way, which is very important to me, and she was so receptive to feedback about the things I either did or didn't like about the dresses as we went. She let me make my own decisions, and never once tried to push me toward any particular dress. She wanted it to be "the one" in MY eyes. Well, long story short (ok, too late for that), I left with the PERFECT dress!!! When I said it was the one, Sherilyn helped us pick out shoes (on sale, btw!) as well as some beautiful jewelry, which is extremely affordable!! What happened next is something I never expected. She led my mom and I back to the "viewing" area with the mirrors so we could see the whole picture - dress, shoes, bling, veil, the works! She held a brass bell in her hands, looked straight in to my eyes and very sincerely gave me her best wishes. She told me to make a wish and ring the bell as long as I wanted to. I let that sucker RING!! haha!! Before I knew it, my mom and I both were just balling - not sweet little tears here and there, I mean just let it go, overwhelmed with joy kind of tears. It was because of what that day really meant to us. Sherilyn gave us that, and it's a memory we will have for the rest of our lives. I could go on about Sherilyn. The entire store is amazing. They have, by far, the best selection of dresses and accessories. Everyone we talked to was very nice and there to help. We met the alterations mgr, Bea, as well, and she was just great! I wish I could name everyone - the manager, the girl checking us out, the girl greeting everyone at the door....everything about this location is simply top notch (without being top price!). More than anything, the people working there obviously enjoy what they do, and it is their #1 priority that you enjoy your experience there as well. I came in to buy a bridesmaid dress today and was immediately greeted the moment I got in. They got me signed in and immediately started getting information about the bride so that I could pick from the dresses the bride had picked for us. I had been here before for another friends wedding a couple years back and didn't seem to care too much for the customer service I had received then, HOWEVER today's customer service that I had received overall today was fantastic! Katelyn (I think that's how she spelled it) was the receptionist that got me checked in and as she was doing so she had Sherilyn start pulling dresses for me to try on. I was so impressed how nice Sherilyn was to go out of her way to find a dress as close to possible that was the original color the bride had picked for us. When I started to try on the dresses I realized the size I thought I was obviously wasn't the size that I am, so when she came back to check on me, I asked if there was any chance I could get them in the next size up and she immediately brought the new size back to me and stuck around every time to help me zip up my dress. I unfortunately couldn't bring the bride or a friend along so I had to make the decision by myself, something that I definitely struggle with. Sherilyn was very helpful and gave me advice on how I could get it altered and which dress style suited my body type the best. She was also very helpful during my checkout and she even went above and beyond for me to let me know what the other bridesmaids had picked (when I had asked of course). She was in the process of training Ashley and just by listening in I was really impressed with how much detail she was giving her on bridesmaids consultations. After having an overall great experience here, I realized I had caught the big sale and received $20 off my dress as well as a $20 shutterfly coupon, that was really the icing on top for today! I can definitely tell that this store and the management take pride in what they do and really do help you in every way possible to help you have the best experience! I have been into David's Bridal twice with my fiance. The first time we went in about 9 months ago, we were newly engaged and looking around for colors and getting ideas on what dresses we like for the bridesmaids. We looked around for about twenty minutes (were never asked if we could be helped) and decided to go ahead and leave. I saw the "Bride" clothes at the front of the store and wanted to buy a shirt.. We waited in front of the glass display case where the computers were for someone to pay ANY kind of attention to us, we were walked by at least 30 times by 7-8 different employees, including the girl who's job is to stand at the front behind the desk. I put the shirt back, incredibly disappointed, and told my fiance we would never come back and if we HAD to order anything it would be online only. And please do keep in mind we aren't from Lubbock, so we drove 2 hours to be treated like crap. All that being said.. I hadn't found any shoes that I loved to go with my wedding dress, so I went to David's Bridals online site and saw the perfect shoes.. But I wanted to make sure they fit! So once again, we made our way to Lubbock to get some things done and go to the store so that I could try the shoes on and make sure I love them in person. We walked in, went straight to the shoes, I tried them on (loved them!!) and we were just going to order them online until one associate, to my surprise, actually made time to see if we needed anything. They didn't have my size sitting out so she went to the back and was searching high and low (literally, I saw her on the ground looking at the bottom boxes) to find my size. Unfortunately, they needed to be ordered online anyways. *FALLON* is the name of the associate who helped us and ordered everything right then and there and saved me the time and headache! So just by her alone, my faith in this store has been renewed. And by all the negative reviews I've read.. Yall probably need more Fallon's working there! read more

David's Bridal was my first stop on my journey to finding THE dress. Thanks to the guidance of my stylist, Sherilyn, I found the one after trying on one dress (I cried). She didn't let me stop at just one and we explored all the options I was looking for plus extra. While looking for more dresses to try on she found the first dressed I tried on but in my size and a more desirable tone. We saved it for my last dress to try one as a confirmation for the one. The dress fit me perfectly with no alterations needed and the ivory color actually complimented my fair complexion (I cried again). Sherilyn has an eye for reading what her clients really like and don't like. This being my first time ever shopping for a wedding dress, she broke every thing down to me in easy to follow instructions, made me feel calm with her friendly personality and made sure that I was confident in my decision. Sherilyn guided me all the way through to the check out process, even then she would double check on things for me to make sure I was getting precisely what I needed. When we knew that I had found THE dress, Sherilyn brought out a bell and made the most beautiful wish for me, rang the bell, and gave me the bell to make a wish and ring it to declare my find. I think it is a wonderful tradition. I would highly recommend David's Bridal to every bride-to-be and I would hope that they would have Sherilyn as their stylist. read more

I have numerous friends have good experiences here even after trying to use local "boutique" shops for their weddings and nothing comes close to the service the David's team gives. Now with planning my own wedding they have gone above and beyond to give me peace of mind that I made the right decision about working with them to find the perfect dress. Brides are told that our dress is supposed to make us feel beautiful and is the center piece of our wedding. I came into the store this week on the verge of tears due to doubt and wedding planning anxiety. Kait and Alleigh helped me to find that beautiful dress and to put together an entire ensemble that made the vision I had for my wedding real and beyond beautiful. They are amazing assets to this store and honestly saved my wedding. Their service is definitely above par. I had all six of my bridesmaids go through David's (in Lubbock and other cities) and I'm so glad I did. Thanks to your team I will look my best on my wedding day. I had a great experience with Davids Bridal in Lubbock. We stopped by when it opened and they informed us they were very busy but happily scheduled us for that afternoon. When we arrived later it was nothing but kindness and help. My main assistants were Timothy and Rebecca. Rebecca actually works in alterations but I knew I wanted to play with my dress so I enlisted her advice. She helped me think of ways to make it my own and add flair without making it a huge fuss. Timothy was amazing. He was so professional and respectful helping me put on those complicated dresses and finding me new ones. I never felt un comfotable about him helping me change. He understood that I wanted to stay in a budget and that I wanted to look elegant and he did not stray from that. He gave me a lot of options, told me the truth of how they looked and didn't pressure me but helped me. He was also very inclusive and sweet to my sister and mother who were helping. My daughter got engaged two weeks ago. Her wedding is planned for mid-December. I live on the other side of the state so we had ONE chance to pick out a wedding dress. Before our appointment began (we had arrived early) the receptionist and management staff were professional and welcoming, and exactly on time we were joined by our bridal consultant Lori. She was AWESOME!!! We are under a bit of a time and budget crunch and Lori listened and was so attentive to our input. She was truly invested in making sure my daughter had the perfect dress and that it was within the budget. She was professional and extremely patient as my daughter tried on several dresses. When it was time to purchase THE dress, again management was helpful and together with Lori, we were provided with information, coupons, and resources that will help us as we continue to plan this special day! Went in and bought my dress in January, had a great experience and happily found my dress! Came back to get my bridesmaids dresses after the lockdown began and they were handling everything wonderfully! Had a set back with the color of the dress I wanted being out of stock but they helped me find a new one very similar to the color that would be here in time. Ordered their dresses and they came much faster than expected and are gorgeous. Now I finally came back to get my alterations done on my dress and we had Rebecca help me. Only one person could come with me but the room was smaller so more people would have been overcrowded. She made sure we had the best time and got the greatest price with what we needed done, even offering to try and make a face mask for my big day with the material from my dress to match. Very happy with every experience I have had with the Lubbock location, handing COVID very well and making sure we can still have fun getting ready for the big day! read more

I have an annual event that I buy an evening dress for. This year's dress needed altering and the seamstress at this location, Rebecca Lovell, was especially helpful. She was very attentive to my needs and made an extra effort to show me how and where alterations might need to be made and was extra careful to make sure she made notes on all alterations necessary. Before finalizing my alteration needs she shared the cost with me to make sure it was in my budget and to make sure I was pleased with all her suggestions. When picking up my dress on my fitting day-I was especially surprised that she was there and available to help. I was in a bit of a hurry and she was still so aware to make sure all of my alterations were just right and I left the store happy. My visit to the store and all my alteration needs were more than I could have expected. David's Bridal is amazing!!! I thought I was not going to find a dress in my size, but the store had it!!! I booked the appointment in May. I looked at dresses online for months and picked my favorites. When I got to the store on 9/12/2015, they had already printed out what I liked on their website. My consultant was Katherine. She was beyond wonderful!!! She was really really helpful and patient with me!! She first showed me some of the dresses that I had liked on their website. She also showed me some dresses that I told her that I liked. I think I tried on 6 dresses before I picked a dress. I thought she was kidding when she said she was going to bring a bell so my bridal party could celebrate. I totally started crying when she told me the lovely things before I rang the bell. The experience was so lovely!! I truly felt like a bride!! I would recommend going there to get a wedding dress!!! I will be going back there for bridesmaids dresses next!!! read more

He was super personable and made me feel very comfortable in what started as an intimidating experience for me, finding the perfect wedding dress. Timothy has extensive knowledge of the David's Bridal company because he has worked in many different areas of the company. He was quick to recognize the styles of dresses I liked, and did not hesitate to express his professional opinion, as well as his own very honest, respectful personal opinion - his work ethic and pride for his job clearly showed through the entire process. He not only helped me find my perfect wedding dress, but he taught me a lot about the process of going about finding that perfect dress. By the end of my appointment, Timothy and I had put together my entire bridal ensemble, and he will also be doing my bridal party fittings as well. Timothy represented David's Bridal excellently! Amy went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and happy! We had to schedule a second appointment because we were not able to find my dress the first time. I am very indecisive and was unsure of what I wanted. She spent extra time with us during the second appointment. Amy is such an amazing person inside and out. She works so hard for her clients and it shows! Not many people would go above and beyond to the extend she has for me. Such an amazing experience, she deserves a raise! Bea, in Alterations, was so patient with my mother. My mom can be a difficult person sometimes. She was able to work with our budget and still get a beautiful bustle scheduled for my dress. She is bubbling with a strong work ethic, great personality, and wonderful problem solving skills. My experience with these two women have been beyond good. I had a really great experience here and it was fun for all involved. Just so you know I did my homework ahead of time...I am the bride to be :) so I made an account on their website and favorited the dresses I like and also scheduled an appointment a week ahead of time and scheduled it for during the week because I have heard and it was confirmed that they are super busy on weekends and some brides-bridal parties get turned away or just leave because it's overwhelming. However, I scheduled for a Thursday afternoon and there were maybe one or two other brides trying on dresses. Ashley is the girl that helped me and I found the most gorgeous dress after trying on only 5 or 6 dresses. They have you ring a bell and make a wish for you when you pick your dress and we were all in tears. My dress should be in in 3 weeks and will need some minor alterations, I'm so excited!!! read more

Jacinda was our stylist and she was amazing! We needed a prom dress and had very vague ideas about what we wanted (no frills, solid colors, maybe one sleeve, classy, etc.) She listened to our ideas and looked at the dresses we admired. After the first couple we tried (that we picked) and didn't like, she said, "I think I know just the thing" and went off to retrieve the mystery dress. She came back with a very pretty dress that we would have never considered. As soon as we tried it on we were taken aback at how perfectly it fit and met our intended image. We LOVE the dress and she helped us pick shoes and jewelry to match as well. We aren't girly-girls and she completely understood and showed patience and kindness. I walked in without an appointment and told her I just wanted to look and try on some dresses today so I wouldn't feel pressured to buy anything and told her what my budget was and she was more than accommodating. I showed her pictures of what types of designs I had in mind, tried on about 7 dresses when she brought out the perfect dress tried it on and it fit like a dream and it is beyond gorgeous and in exactly the price range I was looking for. She gave me the best customer service even though she knew there was a chance I wouldn't be purchasing today, but that didn't stop her from doing the absolutely best to please me! I want to thank Alyssa c for my experience yesterday at David's bridal. I am a bigger girl and was debating on even wearing an actual wedding dress for my wedding. She made me laugh,smile and cry all in one session. I know I'm beautiful and she made me feel more and more like a princess. I went to davids on 6/30 and had such a great experience with Sherilyn! She was so sweet and brought more dresses than I thought I would even be able to try on to get a feel for what I liked. She didn't push me to try on things I didnt like and encouraged others that she knew with her expertise I would like. She even let me at the end go through the store with her to make sure there wasn't anything else I wanted to try on. I found a dress I'm pretty sure I will come back for but wanted my mom to be there for the big day! I made an appointment with David's Bridal to find my wedding dress. I was skeptical due to previous experiences that I had at this store. Lori was my consultant and she made the experience INCREDIBLE! Lori listened to everything that I asked for, she pulled dresses that matched the style that I had given her and she did not give up until I found the perfect dress. Lori kept all of the dresses that she showed me in my budget and worked extremely hard to make sure that I was perfectly satisfied with my dress that I choose for my big day. My Consultant was Sarah, she was a new but SOOOOO amazingly fantastic!!! She was very kind, worked hard to help me find exactly what I wanted, and made me feel absolutely comfortable. I would suggest that EVERYONE request her when setting up an appointment at David's Bridal. On the other hand, they do not carry my size of this particular dress, nor can they order it. When I spoke with the lady that will do the alterations she told me the alterations will cost about twice as much as the dress to get it to my size, and I found that quite ridiculous considering what would need to be altered on the dress. Therefore, I will probably take my perfect dress somewhere else to get it altered. read more
