This place was an absolute nightmare! We went in to look at some bridal gowns. We didn't have a appt cause when we call the day prior we were told to just come in no one told us it's best to have an appt. So we go in and quite a few of us has w head two brides but we was browsing and I guess when you go to a lower end bridal store that's what you get just that. Anyhow three ladies that were helping was talking about the brides and acting like they were teenagers there to play dress up lol. Not what they was doing they wanted to try dresses on together and make memories all were actual brides with weddings months apart from each other! Not only did we overhear them talking g trash about us but some other ppl looking at prom dresses heard and told my mom and sister what they overheard. Anyhow they didn't know proper wedding dress terminology which should be natural if you're helping a bride. Then they keep saying cute lol what? Who wants to hear that's cute in - $3k dress. Then they would look at another after a bride would come out and go back into room and roll their eyes at each other! These ladies Rosa, and can't think of the other two but will get names and return to put them. But you'd think David's Briadal would do something. Then they was complaining g about only getting like 20-26hr only a week to work and how that company sucked to work for and blah blah blah. All this around where we were. Then they'd walked a little ways away and huddle up pretty much and whisper and just ugly and rude. But when they thought they sold the almost $4k dress they started being nice and sweet lol Storw was pretty clean they was picking up straight pins out of the floor where the brides and others were walking barefooted. Make it nice and clean and have chairs for bridal parties and make it memorable that's one of the most important times in a ladies life. read more

My mother, my Maid of Honor, and I visited David's Bridal in early August to shop for my wedding dress and a bridesmaid dress. Our initial appointment was wonderful--the associate who assisted us was fantastic, and she is the only reason I am giving even one star. I wish I remembered her name because she truly provided excellent service. My Maid of Honor ordered her dress that day. Although I did not find my dress, we left feeling positive about the experience. We were told the bridesmaid dress would arrive in late September. That date came and went with no communication from the store--not even a courtesy call with an updated ETA. In early October, my Maid of Honor called to follow up and was told, without apology, that the dress had been delayed by a month. While January is still far enough away that timing wasn't an emergency, it was frustrating that the burden was on us to track down information that should have been proactively communicated. In early November, she finally received a call that the dress had arrived. Because she lives out of town, she planned to pick it up the following week. A few days later, she received another call informing her that if she didn't pick up the dress immediately, it would be returned to the warehouse. When she tried to explain her situation and coordinate a pickup, the staff was rude and dismissive over the phone, which added unnecessary stress. When she was finally able to pick up the dress, we discovered that the dress she received, while somewhat similar, was not the dress she ordered. She had chosen the original style specifically because it allowed her to wear a standard bra; the dress provided was cut significantly lower in the back, making that impossible. When she tried to discuss the issue with the staff, their attitude made it clear they were annoyed by her concerns. One employee even remarked that "bridesmaid dresses aren't made to wear with bras" and tried to pressure her into purchasing one of their "special bras." When she declined and asked about returning the dress, the attitude continued. The staff suggested choosing a new dress, and when she pointed out the previous delay, she was told it was "the warehouse and politics' fault"--again, with no apology. Even more disappointing, the manager never left her stool at the register during these interactions, and instead of addressing the issue professionally, simply suggested buying a different dress altogether. The complete lack of concern, customer service, and basic courtesy throughout this process was extremely disheartening. I understand delays happen, and I understand that shipping issues are sometimes unavoidable. However, common courtesy, proactive communication, and a simple apology go a very long way. I am incredibly frustrated by how little regard was shown for us as customers and how far the service fell short of what should be standard in this industry. read more

Yesterday was my wedding. I had taken my dress to David's in early August for it to be altered. The bottom was supposed to be hemmed so I could walk without tripping and there was a bustle to be added. When I went to pick up my dress at the end of August, my sister pointed out to Lola the consultant who was altering my dress that there were still several layers not hemmed and with sewing pins in my dress. She told us to come back and that it would be finished. When we came back to pick up my dress, Lola had her male consultant bring my dress out to me in the bag, would not let me try it on again or check it in store and escorted me out with my dress. My sister and I tried checking this massive ball gown in the parking lot but were struggling with all the layers. We took it back to Bella's to be stored and picked it up the day before my wedding. An hour and a half before my wedding, we pull the dress out and find none of the alterations that we told them were incomplete the first time were never finished. There were 30+ sewing pins holding up where my dress was to be hemmed at the bottom in the slit and mesh and up in the mesh at my waist. We didn't discover the waist sewing pins until I put on my dress and was being poked. I called up there and spoke to Lola who was incredibly rude and told me I had no right to be upset. At that point I did go off on her and she hung up on me. Another girl I spoke with was sweet and understanding, I didn't catch her name, and said she would tell management. Lola decided to call me back after hanging up on me the first two times and told me to bring my dress in an hour before my ceremony to fix it within 10 minutes. My venue was 20 minutes away. I told her I would not be doing that. I had to get my mother in law to sew up my hem so I didn't trip. Please do not take your dress here for alterations. This was the first place I started my wedding dress shopping experience. I wasn't wowed before I walked in. They called me and left a message to confirm my appointment, I called the number they left me which was to alterations. The lady that answered seemed to have no idea how to help me when I said I needed to confirm my appointment. I told her it was the number they left when they called she said well this is alterations. I said ok is there any way to let the front desk know I want to confirm my appointment. It seemed like I was a bother than anything else. Which I sort of understand since she works in alterations not as a receptionist. So I was already a little put off before I came in but decided to still make a great experience of it since it was my first time dress shopping. I was greeted by I believe the manger when I first came in who started explaining the process while someone went to get my consultant. She promptly came out and started going over my vision and what I wanted. I did really appreciate the fact that I could make a sort of profile online and "heart" dresses that I thought I would want to try on during my appointment. I also liked that I could link my Pinterest so she could have a better idea of what my vision was before the appointment. Which I'm not totally sure was taken in to account but that's ok. All I can say is I'm so glad my mon was there to help because I felt like I was in a changing room. There wasn't really anywhere outside my changing room for anyone that came with me to sit comfortably while I tried on dresses which seemed a little strange. That's actually why my mom ended up in the dressing room with me. My consultant was great. She tried really hard to find my perfect dress but it just wasn't happening. We looked online at their dresses and they had a great selection in larger sizes so we made an appointment for a fitting. Kaelee worked really hard to help us find the best dress that flattered my daughter's figure. She was super patient and helped her with lots of suggestions. When thinking of David's Bridal I expected professional dress work and great customer service, looking at my rating I had a different experience. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding yesterday but the issues started way before. I got the last dress in my size style and color no problem! I paid for it and was told it would be here within plenty of time for the wedding. a month goes by and I haven't heard anything and the date I was supposed to get it had come and gone so I call and find out it's going to be late, again fine. I got my dress tried it on fit great just needed to cut some length off the bottom. The alterations added cups into my dress and then immediately asked for a 5 star review. I come to get the dress 2 days before the wedding and all seemed fine. The day of the wedding one of the cups was not sewn on the dress after a day of being in the closet, the clip on the back was broken which was not told To me at the fitting. AND the WORST part they left a pin A NEEDLE in my dress sewn into the mesh of The top of my dress so it kept poking my boob and my arm. So we had to cut my dress to grab the needle out . overall the experience was very frustrating and the nerve to ask for a 5 star review twice and give me 1 star work! Although I'm not a bride (yet!), I can totally see why so many brides-to-be choose David's Bridal for their wedding dreams. This location is located in a fairly new shopping center off of Milwaukee. If you're headed south on Milwaukee, look for the big center on your left before you hit the Brownfield Highway and David's Bridal is in the back. If you miss the turn-in, you're pretty much screwed as you have to go all the way down 82 and turn around at the loop. Being a new store, everything is fresh and clean. The dresses were well organized, and I really liked that we were put in a back nook to have a little privacy while my sister-in-law-to-be tried on her options. The marked dressing rooms were a nice touch, too. No piece is over $1200 (woo hoo!), and I highly suggest making an appointment if you go on a weekend. read more

The buying and alteration fitting experience were great but when we went back in for my daughters final fitting it was horrible! After being escorted back to the fitting area we were not spoken to again! No one offered to Help My daughter try her dress on or look at her when it was on. A girl shoved a signature sheet in my face and another lady basically called me liar when I asked for our garment bag! I reported all this to the manager whose only solution was to talk to her staff and offered for my daughter to come back in and try it on again ... NO! Not terrible, not outstanding. I was glad this wasn't my first stop or I would have been completely overwhelmed by the barage of choices and lack of guidance. I really hoped that the consultant would be able to make more suggestions about which types of dresses might be a good fit for my body and goals. The store was clean and bright so that was a plus. My family just ended up with a book and started pointing at dresses they wanted me to try on. I also ended up in a dress I didn't particularly care for and started feeling very pressured (especially by the alterations manager) to buy it even though it was obvious that I wasn't too crazy about it. Amazed by the best service I have had at a Bridal shop. I am an offbeat bride. My wedding is day of the dead Spanish Mexican fiesta (not scary). I have never felt like an Offbeat bride or that I was different until I went to 4 different bridal shops in 2 states. I have bought a dress before when I was overwhelmed and pressured into it. I came to Lubbock to go to another dress shop. After a disappointing frailer of an appointment there my friends talked me into going to Davis Bridal. At this point I never thought I would find a dress that I was in LOVE with. I didn't want a lace dress or look like a princess. David's Bridal got me. They were supper nice and squeezed me in. Sherlyn my wonderful consultant helped me find the sleek lace free dress that I wanted. She was so willing to learn about the New Mexican/ Spanish wedding traditions and my non scary day of the dead theme. I couldn't have found a better consultant or a better shop. read more

I bought my gown here, and everything went well until I got my dress to be fixed by the ladies who work there. First of all, the girl who I talked for the first time was nice and even promised so many things to put on my dress. When I went to the next appointment the dress was exactly the same nothing were being fixed so I waited for like 2 hours to try my dress again. The next appointment was 3 weeks later and 2 weeks before the big day. The ultimate details weren't there!!!!! Imagine how mad I was. I had to wait for like 3 hours to get everything done!!!! I went to davids bridal on 1\7\15. Courtney was my consultant. She was wonderful! She brought all kinds of styles, and listened to what I liked and disliked, since I had no idea what I wanted! I also loved that they have a wide range of sizes, since I am not a small girl! All of the staff helped, though. The manager of alterations made an appearance to comment on the fit of my dress, the manager also helped get my mom in her mother of the bride dress. The whole experience was wonderful! I got my dress and all my accessories all in one stop, which was nice since I am not a big shopper! And I'm looking forward to going back with my best friend for her wedding in June! read more

I went to David's Bridal for my prom dress needs. The shop is obviously more of a wedding gown shop, so the prom dress selection was smaller than some, but still great! It was only my first day to look for a dress and I picked out what I liked and proceeded to try them on. I decided I was ready to move on to a new shop when Sherilyn convinced me to try one more; she brought me a dress that I had not seen and I fell in love! She worked with me for an hour to get the perfect size and even ideas for accessories! I felt very prioritized contrary to the other reviews! I love the dress I got! But service has been terrible. The girl helping pick a dress was not very helpful and basically told my mom to be quiet (and she wasn't being overbearing or anything. Just honest if I looked good in something or not) Alterations was just very vague and cared more about how much my bill was and that I paid that day. I was just expecting everyone to be more helpful ( I'm not creative or into fashion so I needed all the help and advice I can get) but when my mother and MoH tried to help the consultant shut them down. I was nervous about dress shopping because I only had about 3 months to get a dress (thanks to crazy military schedules). I had two appointments with Brittany as my stylist. The first one I didn't find anything that I loved, and I was pretty discouraged, but she had me make another appointment for the next week, and I did end up picking out a dress then. Brittany and everybody else in the store at the time were very patient with me and very kind. I'm very small but I have a larger chest, so a lot of the dresses didn't look right. Brittany and Rebecca from alterations explained to me how they could take the dress that I was on the fence about and make it fit just how I wanted (form fitting but not showing cleavage). Because of the time crunch, a few people in the store made some calls to make sure I got my dress in time. They found the one dress in my size that was already made and had it shipped from another store. When the dress got in, I had my fitting and everybody was very nice and listened to everything that I wanted. Because of my small size, they had to take a lot of the dress in and shorten it a lot. When the alterations were ready, the waist was still a bit too large and there were some minor imperfections with the appliques. Rebecca repinned me and showed me how she was going to fix everything. She finished the dress that same day (I had a flight to catch with the dress the next day) and it is PERFECT now. She did an excellent job and was so sweet about everything. read more

On short notice we were able to walk into the store and purchase an evening gown for a reasonable price. However, the dress had to have alterations and the alterations cost more than the dress itself. I would visit again to purchase a dress, however, I would NOT have alterations done here. With that said, the service we received, with the exception of the alterations manager (if I based my experience off of my interaction with her I would NOT go back) was positive. read more

For a business where it's employees are commission based- they sure don't work hard for their money. I am the bride to be, and I've gone in about four different times for myself and bridesmaid. Each time we have been treated poorly. They need to learn how to treat the customers fairly regardless of how much money they are there to spend! When we went in for my bridesmaid, the consultant didn't give her a bra or slip or help her try on the dresses!! I had to go find our "consultant" somewhere in the store to ask for pins to put on my girls dress!!! We even had an APPOINTMENT to avoid being treated this way. I've never been treated like such a piece of garbage. It was disgusting and I'm calling the corporate office tomorrow when they open to get my money back. read more

I was very disappointed in this place. I already bought a wedding dress here so I wanted to get my bridesmaids dresses here. My MOH was here before me wanting to get everything set up. She was ignored and when finally approached told "well I'll just talk to the bride". My friends were greeted rudely. We get our consultant and she asks if all three of my bridesmaids can share a room. Kind of weird but we think no big deal. We ask for a chair and apparently that's only for bride appointments. But a wedding party right next to us there to try on bridesmaids dresses gets three dressing rooms and chairs for all their bridesmaids. They were getting constant attention while we were standing there waiting most of the time. We felt very ignored and none of our needs were I met. I set this appointment up months ago and was extremely disappointed. I immediately call Bella's Bridal and she gets us right in and all three of my bridesmaids left with dresses. I really wanted to give this place a chance but it didn't work. read more

Do NOT let them do your alterations. My daughter felt she had found the perfect dress and she looked like a dream. Then the alterations occurred. My daughter was adamant on the length she wanted the dress to touch the ground and absolutely did not want her feet to show. Now the flats she wanted to wear will not work and heals are certainly not an option. They ruined the dress and there is not enough time to get a replacement. The girl helping with the fitting and even the manager argued that the length was better than what my daughter had requested, I guess the bride's opinions and request were obviously not considered relevent. I was in David's Bridal Lubbock, TX this past weekend 11/15/15 looking for my wedding dress with my mom, 2nd mom, and grandma. I didn't have a preference on what I wanted besides a big ball gown but each person I came with had their own ideas of what they wanted for me but my consultant katherine was beyond amazing. She took me aside and asked what I was looking for and I told her I'm willing to try anything but SATIN! After trying own a few dresses which I liked but each dress there was little things that didn't make it "the dress." katherine just asked me to trust her with this lace/Satin dress, literally once I stepped out I knew it was my dress. It was perfect and my entourage were extremely happy as well. I'm so glad I trusted katherine, my family couldn't praise her enough. katherine made me feel like I bride, she added a sash, veil, daddy veil, head piece and shoes and I walked away with everything she and the store manager picked out. My dress shopping was probably the easiest aspect of my wedding planning thanks to katherine and the whole David's bridal staff there that day. I would recommend going to see them. My first fitting was great. I had Amy who was so helpful and attentive. I re-tried a few dresses to narrow it down and she was patient with me. I would highly recommend Amy. Had this been my only experience, I would give it a 5. However, my first alterations appointment was a bit of a nightmare. They were running really behind my scheduled appointment, the store was really hot, and the lady seemed overwhelmed and I didn't feel she was listening to me. I also came alone and she would barely help with getting me all dressed. I left hating my dress. The cost of alterations was ridiculous as well. My second alterations appointment was much better. I had a different lady who made the experience so much more pleasant. She helped make suggestions that allowed me to leave being in love with my dress all over again.
