I had a great experience with a newer consultant Steven. He helped to find my dress as well as my bridesmaids a few weeks prior. You would never have know he had just recently started. He was very helpful and considerate! Even with it being a Saturday and him having to juggle a few clients I felt as though I was important!! I also got a great deal on my entire purchase with him! I bought my mother of the bride dress from David's. I decided about 10 days before the wedding I wanted to shorten it and wear a lower heel, so I went to them for the alteration. They charged $179 because they said it was a rush job even though I was able to get it about 4 days after going in. So that was irritating. However, the bigger issue was that about an hour or two after putting it on for the wedding, it started to unravel at the bottom. So, all night it would catch on my feet and I'd have to remove balls of thread. When I called after the wedding to complain I was told that it was because it was beaded and that basically that's what happens!! To which I said, "had I known that I wouldn't have had it shortened." So, buyer beware if looking at beaded dresses. And though they "repaired" it, the bottom is now jagged so I don't feel like I can even sell it. read more

I don't know where to start- I bought a dress 2 months for a wedding I've been nervous to attend (social anxiety here) online in a size 4, there were only 3 dresses left when I purchased mine, i really LOVED this dress & made sure to buy it a little bigger bc I thought it would be better to alter a dress that fit me a tad bigger than one that might be tight on me. And with them being limited in stock, I didn't want to run that risk. For one, it came in late. As soon as I received my dress i set up an appointment w their alteration's department, & they recommended I return that dress for a size down bc it would cost more for them to alter the dress I have than for me to just order a new one in a small size. I mentioned to them that dress had almost ran out of stock when I ordered mine & it got here late. They checked online for me showing they had a size 2 available & REASSURED me that if I return the dress I already had for that smaller one it would come in bc it was available but it would take a month to come in but they REASSURED me that as soon as it came in (June 29th) they could rush the alterations and have it ready for me to wear for the wedding I'm attending (7/9) they reassured me over & over the latest they would have it ready for me is July 7th. Here I am being patient for an entire month, it was now July 1st & I call the store to follow up on their call they said they would give me as soon as it got delivered. I call & waited on hold back & forth for 15-20mins bc they couldn't find my order. They finally get back to me & tell me the new dress I PAID for never got delivered to their store bc they were OUT OF STOCK & that dress was no longer available. To make things worse the girl taking care of me over the phone, not only would she NOT let me speak or vent in any way (mind you I'm not one to lash out on ppl, I've worked doing customer service most of my life, I understand it's not their fault, she's just answering the phone.. I get it. But this was me trying to express myself in the most calm way) she continued to keep talking over me & cutting me off, making sure she wouldn't have to deal w me talking. That just made me feel worse than I originally did. She apologized for the inconvenience but would not let me talk & just kept telling me there was nothing they can do & to just take it up with corporate & that their LACK OF ORGANIZATION skills was now a corporate issue. I tried to tell her that I wish they would have informed me earlier as they had an entire MONTH to let me know. The wedding I have to attend is now 6 days away & I have absolutely nothing to wear. I'm a very tiny petite person. I have to alter any and every dress I need. There's no way I'll be able to find anything to wear for this wedding I was already nervous to go to. I was excited waiting for dress I've had my eye on to come in as it's a comfy dress that I feel hid alot of my insecurities. I wish I would've stayed w my original dress size 4 & had them just alter that one like I originally wanted. Now I have no dress. More anxiety and insecurities than I did in the beginning. I feel horrible about myself & even more after the way I was shut down. And with no compensation in any way (besides the supposed refund I'm waiting for) for the inconvenience I just encountered. Had they been more understanding and helpful, rather than rude about it, I would've come back. Now I'm stuck with this gift card I won't use. I just went here with my friend. This was my second time at a DB and having a negative experience. This store (let alone company) has the worst customer service and employee attention skills. This specific instance was a first try on for my friend. She was looking to try on a variety of shapes to decide on a basic style. Not too difficult right? Unfortunately, none of the dresses online were available in store. (I know this is a DB as a whole issue.) We were greeted and waited about 10 minutes until she got a room. Now, let me say this place was absolutely packed. Dressing rooms were packed; dresses everywhere. For another solid 10 minutes, no one knew what was going on. Our consultant was no where to be found. She was "pulling dresses" but came back with nothing. Then, we were moved to another side of the store 10 more minutes later. There, she left to pick more dresses. Finally, they began trying on dresses. In the middle of it, she excused herself and did not return for another while. Her dresses picking skills were not great. She chose a few dresses that she swore were similar to the ones we had shown her in the beginning...not at all. Then, once the appointment was over. We had to ask for her to put the dress on my friend's name, so we could find it again. then, the consultant just disappeared. No wrap up to appointment. No writing down of the dress (the clipboard was still in the dressing room). Nothing. We ended up going to the front table to ask. Hopefully, it was taken care of because we have no idea. This was the most rushed, unappreciated and stressed I felt in a bridal salon. It may be due to the company structure, but it is terrible. I would not suggest this (or any DB) to a bride. The only bonus about this place is their price point. But, for me, it's not worth it. read more

Got my wedding dress here for my October 5 wedding and bridesmaid dress for my cousins September 21 wedding . Audrey (I think was her name, blonde wavy hair, glasses) was my consultant for both and she was fantastic but since with the bridesmaid dress all she had to do was find the dress my cousin picked I'll stick to the exceptional service from my bridal appointment. I went with my mother and Audrey took us to the dressing room stage and say down with us and looked through the latest catalog with us. I knew going in I wanted strapless and we found a couple dresses I liked in the catalog then she went and got those along with about 5 others that were the same style for me to try. I ended up buying the first dress I tried on after my mother and I immediately fell in live with it and compared every dress to it. Then on to alterations, they were also good. There is an older woman that is in charge and I worked directly with her. It can however be difficult to communicate what you want with her. She has a very thick accent and it seems English is not her first language. If you can push through that your set Will definitely recommend David's to any friend planning a wedding and hope I get to work with them again when I am a bridesmaid again read more

Alright, let's settle on a middle-of-the-road three-star rating because while I had a great experience with my sales rep and the purchase of my dress, my best friend (the bride) had a horrible experience with their alterations department. She bought her dress from the Schaumburg store but was having it altered in Rockford because that's where she lives. She had two wedding dresses, one for the ceremony and one for the after party. They did two rounds of alterations, and they could not get the fit right on either of the dresses. After those two rounds, there was no more time left for alterations. The dresses just did not fit right come wedding day. It's a shame too, because they were both beautiful. The seamstresses they had at this Rockford David's Bridal just didn't seem that experienced. They were all very young and didn't seem to have a good grasp on how a dress should fit. read more

I went in to David's not long after getting engaged in January, and despite telling all three women working the floor that I did not intend to try on dresses that day they pushed me to. I also made it known from the start that I was more than likely going to have my dress made by my mother-in-law, but that did not stop them from shoving dresses at me, or from following my maid of honor and I around the store for twenty minutes. I went back a month ago to try on dresses, and no matter what I tried on the sales woman insisted that I was stunning. She would not listen to what I wanted or thought, and openly snubbed my mother's opinions. For example, I had made it clear that I did not want pick-ups in my skirt and the attendant insisted that they were "in" and continuously brought my dresses with pick-ups in them. After four dresses I was fed up and had only found a so-so gown. Their selection really is not that great, it only looks expansive because they have between 30 and 50 gowns in each size. Few gowns come with any extras, such as a veil, train, wrap, or purse. After looking elsewhere I found a dress that was stunning, included all the extras mentioned above, and after alterations till cost less than a David's Bridal dress that was on sale when I stopped in. Unless you catch them at their annual "$100 dress" sale, its a rip off and you can find something nicer (with an honest opinion from the attendants) elsewhere. read more

She's resourceful and pleasant and very level headed dealing with me in my difficult requests. She even came up with a really clever solution to a problem I was having with the bust and I'm thrilled I don't have to worry about it. Twice I have had to reach out to you guys about an order and both times you tell me you had to cancel due to stock issues. Again, both times you failed to tell me. My best friends wedding is next month and I ordered this dress 2 months ago! You took my $$ but where is the dress? Well just found out you canceled my order with out reaching out me! If I could give David's Bridal -10 stars I would. I HATE this place. My friend and a few other girls went there for dresses and the service was okay but they barely had any sizes in store and the sales associate kept trying to make me get a dress like 2-3 sizes too big so I would have to pay extra to get it altered. Annoying. After a while of frustration and searching I finally found a dress I liked but it wasn't my size or the right color. I was told they had a promotion going where if you open a David's bridal credit card you get 20% off but it was only for a couple more days. They told me they could order the dress from the store and I could pay for it there using the credit card and get the 20% off, so I decided to go for it and I opened a new credit only to find out they didn't have the dress available to even order in the color and size I needed. So I left that day without a dress and the discount and a new credit card I didn't need. They could've checked for my dress BEFORE having me open a credit card. Then after a few days I got lucky and found the dress in my size and color online so I went ahead and ordered it. That was in November. Come June and my friend told me that they are calling off the wedding. I spent $143 on this dress so I messaged David's Bridal to see if I could get a refund on the dress and they said their return policy is 14 DAYS. Now I don't know about others but who buys their dress for a wedding 14 days ahead of time? Most people do months ahead and in between that time anything can happen that would cause a wedding to not happen. Im livid. Now I have a $143 dress that I won't use. Buyers beware!!!! If you buy a dress from them more than 14 days ahead of time and the wedding doesn't happen then you're screwed. No store credit, exchanges, or anything. Like seriously?!?! Thats the most unforgiving bs return policy for dresses that are usually bought way ahead of time! I will NEVER go there again. I'm so pissed I'm leaving bad reviews everywhere I could. read more

I received a confirmation text regarding the appt. I was asked to text "C" confirming the appt. I liked the reminder texts, I found it helpful. The day of the appt. all the employees were so warm and friendly. I will now make this my David's Bridal. This location can give some tips to the Aurora location. Turns out, the corset that the consultant at David's Bridal FORCED me to buy is just anatomically wrong. It was too tight at the fitting but the DB consultant INSISTED that it was the only way to wear the dress. Spent $79 on the daft thing that is too tight. You guys should be ashamed for for the dishonest sales that you pull with straight faces. ===================== I've bit my tongue and sat on my hands multiple times since January in the hopes that I could find something less negative to write about my experience at David's Bridal. This review is for someone who is used to efficiency and is treated to a mad managed monkey show. 1) They do not honor appointment times: My MIL and I had were asked to wait and "make ourselves comfortable" (in the absence of a lounge or chairs) while the consultant got done with a previous appointment. 2) The manager is a rude woman who puts on a lot of airs for someone managing the Walmart of bridal stores. 3) They will not bring the dresses you WANT or have pre selected online. My consultant kept bringing out poofy ball gowns that I detest. (I am only five feet and they make me look like a cotton ball. She also kept bringing overpriced dresses that did not even suit me. ) 4) They leave your stranded in dresses since consultants are double-booked. The consultant stuffed me into ridiculous gowns and left me and my MIL stranded for 30mins while she attended to a different party. This happened six times. 5) They will try to force a purchase. 6) They will not reveal alteration charges upfront. 7) They've leaked out my email address to shitty vendors. 8) The dress I bought was the one I really wanted the moment I set my eyes on it when we were "making ourselves comfortable." 9) Plus points for Sonia, the seamstress, who is incredibly talented!! It's a pity I will not be getting to work with her. She is excellent and I am sure she will go places. Lessons: Go to DB to find a dress and style you like and that makes you feel awesome, get some ideas on the alteration process, and then run away as fast as you can to buy the dress elsewhere. read more

Absolute worst experience ever here. Let me preface this by saying I highly respect retail workers, having done it for close to 7-8 years myself. And I always try to give any poor service the benefit of the doubt, but this was 2 hours of horribleness. (And 4 days prior to the day of my appointment, I called to confirm this appointment, which they said didn't exist. Awesome. Luckily I was able to get a new appointment close to my original time.) I went bridesmaid dress shopping here. First of all, our consultant couldn't keep straight whether I was the Bride (which I am) or a Bridesmaid. She couldn't answer any questions we had about dresses or sizing and didn't seem to want to find out for us. We felt like we had to do her job for her. Either it was her first day at David's Bridal EVER or she left her brain at home this morning. When we finally got up to the register to order, 2 of my bridesmaids ordered and then another cashier stepped in & stole the register from our Consultant before my other 3 could order. Then she let another woman check out in front of us. After 20 minutes of waiting to finish checking out, we finally got fed up and told her we would come back another day to order. Then she tried telling me I had to pay a $1 for the color swatch of the dresses- mind you, I had already spent $1700 on my dress & veil here. Are you serious?! We left. I am getting married in Vegas, and thought that I knew what I wanted. The David's bridal that I visited was great. I went on a Saturday, early in the afternoon. I don't remember having an appointment, but it wasn't BUSY busy. I looked around for a couple of mins before I was asked if I needed anything, and then my consultant came to help me within a few mins of that. I already knew the 3 dresses I wanted to try on, so she asked what size. I told her my street size, which is 8. She said that I would prob need to go down a size. She showed me to a dressing room, and gave me the most uncomfortable bra I have ever had to put on, along with the crinoline thing. I got it on, but then wasn't real sure what to do, so I opened the door and peeked out. She was right there, but what I didn't like was that I actually had to open the door and put the dress on in the doorway of the dress room...there wasn't enough room for 2 ppl in it. Basically I felt a little exposed, but whatever. I realized after about 5 mins that I am a size larger in their dresses than she had thought, due to not being able to breathe. My consultant got me a larger size in bra and dresses, and allowed my mom in law to take pics of myself and my little girl in the dresses we had tried on. My consultant was nice enough, but spread thin it seemed. She was helping not only me, but a girl she seemed to know, who seemed to have been there all day. I felt a little like I was on the back burner for this girl, who seemed like a bridezilla. I didn't think that the material was cheap, and the prices are pretty reasonable considering some other prices I have seen. What you have to remember when you go here is that it is a chain store, and you aren't going to get phenomenal and personal service. You buy the dresses off the rack, and others have tried them on. Their alterations are OUTRAGEOUSLY priced, so go elsewhere if you have to get alters done. I ended up buying my dress on DB's website. I changed my mind on how formal I wanted to go, esp after hearing from multiple ppl that they or someone they know did or will be wearing the dress I had chosen. I found a dress in their on-line only collection that I fell in love with. With shipping, it was 1/2 what I had originally planned to spend (bonus!) I bought it, and it came within 4 days. Problem: it got sent via UPS, who delivered it to the wrong address a block away. My add was on the box twice, but still ended up at the wrong house. My ph # was on the box which I didn't like, but I don't know that I would have got my dress if the wrong recipient hadn't called me!! All that aside, my dress is beautiful. It fits perfect, was sealed in a plastic bag, and came with a nice satin hanger. For the price, you honestly can't beat it. IF you are looking for superb quality, splendid 1on 1 service and a one of a kind dress, don't go here! IF you are looking for something simple, at a "bargain" price, this is it, esp the online collection. One more thing, DO NOT fill out the online ?aires. They end up giving out your #. I get calls from unknown 800#s often now, one which is apparently a scam company. read more

Please, please, please don't go here if you're looking for a wedding dress!!!!! A) It doesn't matter if you have an appointment or not, they look at you like you have 3 heads. B) They push you to go a size bigger than what you really are to make money on alterations. (They ordered me a size 2 when I'm clearly a size 0) C) They didn't even want me to try on my dress when I went to pick it up. They acted like I was the biggest thorn in their side, expecting me to just pick it up and take it home. The place wasn't even busy when I went in! I regret getting my dress here. I bought my wedding dress at a David's Bridal in Orland Park and had a great experience. The sales associates were very friendly and helpful, without being overbearing. They were also very good about not going over my allotted budget. I would suggest this location to anyone! My experience in Rockford while shopping for my bridesmaid's dresses was nowhere near the same experience. We were the only customers in the store with many sales associates. The associate that we were assigned seemed not to be interested in helping us at all. It was difficult to find her, as she did not stay with us and disappeared every chance she got. She was very rude to me and the others that came with me when we were selecting colors and styles to try on. I felt as though I was interrupting her day and wasting her time instead of actually being a values customer. If I could give them no stars I would. From the beginning I have had issues. They put in a random date for my wedding and refused to change the date. Then when trying on dresses they told me the bridesmaid dresses would be in in 16 weeks and alterations would be done the week before my wedding. They were insistent that my wedding was the day they had and I had to continuously tell them I THINK I KNOW WHAT MY WEDDING IS! They ordered the wrong dress for my mother and they told me it was my fault and when I showed them the proof that they did it they told me they couldn't do anything about it until I said I would just call cooperate, then they refunded me my money. All of my bridesmaids tried on dresses they got the sizes that fit them in stores and when they arrived they were either 2 sizes too small or 2-4 sizes too big and they told us we should have ordered the right size. Then the seamstress told me the slip I wanted they wouldn't or couldn't do when all I asked for was two slips to wear. She then rolled her eyes and stormed in the back room. The lady working with brought me the slips I wanted and it was what I wanted. Then the seamstress wouldn't let me get my dress altered the way I wanted until I snapped and told her this is my dress. She then again rolled her eyes and stormed off. She looked at daughter and wouldn't actually measure her for exact measurements. Her dress was too big still and she told me there was nothing she could do. I called to get one of my bridesmaids in earlier and she yelled at me and told me no. The soonest date they could get her in was 2 days before the wedding. I would NEVER use they again. They were extremely rude and disrespectful. read more

After some failed attempts and not so great experiences at other bridal locations. We traveled an hour away from home to check out the Rockford David's Bridal. I went in not really expecting to buy anything that day, just to get some more ideas on what I liked and didn't like as a bride. We were attended to right away by a wonderful sales stylist named Rubi. I was able to tell her a few things I liked and didn't like and she took that and ran with it. I ended up with so many options that were just what I liked and flattered my body type. She was very helpful with trying on many different styles along with possible accessories. Other experiences were so stressful and I found this to be such an enjoyable time. The last dress that Rubi brought me I tried on, and fell in love. I had to have it. It was a great price, hundreds less than other contenders at different bridal locations, and she could tell I loved it. She had everything lined up for me and made the process so simple. I want to thank her and this David's Bridal location for making this such a special day for me. read more

If I could rate lower than 1 star, I would. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! These people do not know what they are doing at all whatsoever. I had a worker actually tell me that my bridesmaids did not order their dresses. When I had seen them in person. She told me "Maybe they just sent you pictures of it in the store and didn't actually order it?" Um, no. I saw them. Other than that idiotic situation, the employees do not pay attention to you whatsoever. You are basically serving yourself while you are here. They walk off and do not come back for quite some time. When trying on dresses, the consultant just disappears and doesn't try to wrap the appointment up or anything. Like I said, you are there to serve yourself, they DO NOT HELP YOU. Then, they ask you for your address because they claim they will ship your dress to you, but they don't. They do not even call you like they say they will either. You only receive an e-mail that your dress is in and that you have 5 days to pick it up. When they claim that they will ship it to you. They then had one of my bridesmaids dresses in the store, but didn't call or email to let us know it was in. We had to call and ask. Then they reply with "oh yeah, it has been here awhile." Why not call? These people do not have a brain. It's just a giant hassle as if as brides you don't have enough to deal with already. Last but not least, I went on a Saturday with my cousin to pick up her bridesmaid dress for my wedding. THAT SAME DAY AFTER I LEFT, I got an e-mail that my wedding gown was in and I had to pick it up. Why could they not tell me this while I was there to save myself the 45 minute drive that I had to repeat the following day? Or I don't know, call me like they said they would? By far the worst experience in a retail store ever. No one in the store communicate with each other when problems arise that need to be addressed. The employees do not listen when you are trying to explain an issue to them. One of our Brides maids misplaced a special order sash 4 weeks before the wedding. We called Daivds Bridal as soon as we realized that it was MIA, only to find out they stopped making the special order sashes, through several discussions we came up with a plan to order 2 flower girl sashes (which they still make) and spoke with the alterations department where they informed us that they could make the two sashes into one, but there would be some "unoticeable" differences. I felt it was acceptable since it was our mistake and we had no other options. We were told that the sashes would be in house and altered and complete by 8/6/12, the day I am writing this review which it was not. The alterations department told us that we never paid for the items, yet David's Bridal sent us an email saying it was in store for pick up. We were never told of any alteration costs when we ordered if we would have been we would have simply paid everything right when we ordered the 2 sashes. We then had to go into the store to try and correct the issue, when we arrived we spoke with a rep who seemed very nice, but would not listen to what I was saying she attempted to finish my sentences which only grew our level of aggrivation more since she was wrong. When she called alterations, they could not find any notes backing up our statements, needless to say they charged me an express fee to have the sash altered in time, our wedding is 12 days away 8/18/12 and stress like this is unwarranted, no one from the store apologized for the misunderstanding, no one was willing to take any ownership for the problem and only searched for ways to put back on the customer. I will never refer anyone to do business with this location or any other Davids Bridal. Do yourself a favor and spend extra money with a reputable bridal shop and stay away from David's Bridal, they do not seem to want your business, as they didnt want ours. read more

The service received here turned a special time into a nightmare. Be prepared to do everything yourself. The service we received was, they assigned a dressing room, end of service. You find your dress, zip it up, and then find any accessories you may need. If you do buy your dress here, go home and order online. Online orders can be returned, store purchases can not. Bridal dress went on sale online for $150 less 2 weeks after purchase, no adjustments were given. Bridesmaid dresses for 4 bridesmaids were no longer available at store, but were available online, but clerk did not offer that information. Bridesmaids dresses 3 months after we ordered them went from $168 to $50. Prices are the only positive. Will not return here for 2 future upcoming family weddings. read more

Planning for wedding under time constraints was hard enough but due to the fabulous staff at David's Bridal; it was very easy and the process was smooth for me. We came back another day to get dresses for bridesmaids and for my mom as well, and Jamie, the consultant, was extremely helpful. She worked with us even after the store to make sure we felt happy about we were buying. We left the store extremely happy about our dresses and the store worked with us to get the best prices for our dresses. read more

Nothing much more to say but DAVIDS BRIDALS SUCK! I have had two Very bad experiences with them and their BAD SERVICE, BAD ALTERATIONS, RUDE SALES ASSOCIATES, AND LAZINESS. About a year ago I bought a dress for my sister's prom. When we got there we weren't greeted, I had to find someone to let us into a dressing room. I was the one running around finding dress sizes for my sister, I should have been getting paid for what I was doing. That wasn't even the worst of it, now it was time for alterations. HA! what a joke, the lady was rude to us and charged me $75 to have it hemmed slightly and taken in. When it was time to pick up the dress it was the day before prom. (it took two weeks). My sister couldnt even get the dress on, the lady took it in 2 inches too much. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Two inches!? We didn't have time to have to re-do the alterations so she took it out to the original size of the dress. The manager said that I needed to send her a copy of the receipt and she would "work" with me to get me a refund. Three weeks go by and I hear NOTHING. So I call again, get put on hold, again, and they tell me she has to call me back, again. Which she never did, again. So in the end, I was ripped off. I swore that I would never go to a Davids Bridal again. But my friend who lives in florida decided to pick out her bridesmaid dresses from them. So I was obligated to use them again. I thought that maybe since it was such a long time ago, that they had changed. BOY WAS I WRONG. I ordered the dress about two monthes before the wedding. I had just missed the date that I would have to pay a rush fee...The dress had come in two weeks after I ordered it. It would have been great if I had gotten a PHONE CALL! But I didnt, nor did the bride. So we ended up calling them ourselves and of course the dress was in. Now they wanted to charge me a rush fee to have the alterations done! If we had been notified that the dress was in, this would not be the case. The assistant manager peggy was RUDE, when I explained the situation to her, as well as the previous problem I had with them. She made me feel like it was my fault for ordering the dress too late. I ordered it TWO monthes ago, and was never told that this would be a problem. What she said to me about the first problem was "You are bringing up a situation that happened a year ago, what is it I can do for you now ma'am, you are upset about something that you could have delt with a long time ago but you didn't." UH YES I DID! No one ever called me back! After this confrontation, I had it. I decided to contact the corporate office thinking that they would atleast be a little nicer to me, and it might benefit them to know that one of their stores is not taking care of their business. But that certainly wasn't the case. The lady named "robin" that I spoke with, kept cutting me off and talking loudly to me like she was in highschool. I was so mad that I was shaking, and I had called in a good mood, thinking that I was going to speak with someone a little more professional. She was almost the same if not worse then Peggy. I just can't believe that people have to go through this for a dress. I am even more in shock that Davids bridal is still in business, with they way they do things. My advice, if you have to go to Davids Bridal, dont expect good service, dont expect them to do anything for you that would require your money back if they mess something up, and definitely DO NOT GET YOUR ALTERATIONS from them. I will never go back, nor will anyone that I know if I can help it. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE when it comes to service, prices, and workmanship. Buyers beware. My experience felt as if I was buying a used car. I had several dresses that i had chosen beforehand but when i arrived i was informed that they dont carry any of them except one. The consultant was not very attentive or helpful. Budget was given and we chose a dress not knowing that with all the gadgets that new were now 1.5 times budget but had already fallen in love with the dress. Then told we have to buy a bag for the dress and alterations were not included, all after being handed the slip indicating all sales are final. We went home to search the internet for a photo as a reminder to only find that the dress was much less expensive at another store. I cant express how taken advantage of that we feel with no recourse available. I would look elsewhere for a dress and would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I chose David's Bridal for my bridesmaid's dresses mainly for their out-of-state locations as some of my bridesmaids lived in Michigan. I was never satisfied with their customer service throughout the entire process which was over a course of a few months with shopping, ordering, and dress fittings. Let me say, the number one reason why I gave this store 1 star was due to their poor customer service. And, I mean POOR! The whole dress shopping process was disorganized. And, on top of it all, one of my bridesmaids ended up in a different dress because they sent her the wrong size and then told her they absolutely could not order it in the right size. Was in the store, asked to see a mother of bride and a special occasion dress. They didn't have it but would order it. Okay..except that once it was ordered it would be "all sales final" and I could only use a store credit for the return. I understand if this was a wedding dress. I would even understand if I had to try it on at the store and did not take it out of the store. BUT why should I pay for a dress that I haven't seen in person or tried on and not be able to return it? What if I never found anything I liked there? I will never go there for any type of dresses other than perhaps wedding dress. read more

This was some of the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in the past. The prices were very reasonable and since my sister (the bride) had an account here we decided to get our bridesmaid dresses and the mother-of-the-bride dress here as well. My sister was well-cared for while choosing her dress. However, once the dress was paid for they turned on her and her bridesmaids. She needed to exchange the undergarments for a different size and they looked up her account and said they had already closed it. When she inquired why, they told her that the computer showed that their wedding had already happened. Her wedding was still two months away. They gave her a very difficult time with the exchange. We went back to pick out bridesmaid dresses and a sales associate came over and rushed us through our selections that we wanted to try on. She then looked at my sister's other bridesmaid and said, "So, you'll be a size 6." She then looked at me and proclaimed, "And you'll be a 12-14" and rushed away to pull our "sizes" while I stood there open-mouthed since I am, in fact, a size 8. She never even asked us what our sizes were or bothered to take measurements. Still, we bought the dresses from them since they were very inexpensive. My mother had zero help whatsoever when buying her dress. Not one person asked if we needed assistance. I pulled all of her sizes and brought shoes back and forth for her since no one else bothered to. The store was not even remotely busy and I saw bored-looking sales associates just standing around. The first time i went inside this David's bridal the staff completely ignored me. It was a slow day and almost no one was in the store shopping except 3 or 4 women who were already looking at dresses themselves. I had no idea what i wanted in a dress at this time...i was very insulted and left...i decided against EVER going there again but my fiancee convinced me to go one more time... Second visit i still wasn't welcomed in and this time i DID NOT want help and it was very busy so i knew what i wanted and looked at every wedding dress myself. One of the workers asked some ladies if they needed help with anything they said no..she walked right past me and didn't bother asking me. Which i thought was rude even if i didn't need her help. Then i overheard two workers making fun of one of the brides about her dress size saying she lied about being a size 14 or something...i looked over them because i couldn't believe it. Finally i reach the Vera Wang section, now this is where it gets worse..i had ONE quick question...i saw a lady stop a worker and ask her a question so i thought oh she must work here...so i quickly grabbed her attention and said "excuse me i have a quick question"...she gave me this look like she was annoyed. I asked her if she worked there and she said "yes" i said " oh because you looked at me like i was crazy" she said "oh ha ha ha no i just looked at you like that because im busy" i said "well i only have one question" i took literally 3 steps over to the Vera section where we both were at anyways ..then i asked her if this Vera dress came in white because it was a light brown ombre to which she replied no only in ivory i said ok and we went about our business...the women who work there never acknowledged me both times i went in there..ill be spending my money somewhere else.
