I've been to David's for several fittings. I called and asked if I could just come in and talk to someone about going ahead and ordering my dress. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon at about 3:00. I was greeted with a scowl and a "what you need?" Then, I think her name was Brandy, yelled to the salesperson, "You have a bride up here!" Great treatment for someone about to drop a grand on a dress... Do the lady who was supposed to help me began our visit by talking down to me about how I "need" to go ahead and order my dress or it won't be here by my wedding (5.5 months away) and began hardcore pressuring me. At that time, the rude girl was going out the door so my lady stopped mid-sentence during our consultation to have a conversation with her about where she was going and could she get some food because she "needed some grease." They agreed on some fries and a sprite from McDonalds. She then came back to me and proceeded to pressure me with threats about my dress not arriving in time. I left feeling very pushed and uncomfortable. I called the Wolfchase David's while I was in the parking lot. Renata took care of me and calmed me down and assured me that I had time and everything was ok. I went to see her the next day and ordered my dress. Moral of the story: go to Wolfchase. I chose this David's Bridal out of convenience for the friends I wanted to help in my decision. Making this decision led me to my appointment with Carla. She was so helpful that she may have personally chose my wedding dress (Two of my requested styles we're unavailable so she chose a replacement which ended in my top two.). When I was unable to make a decision by the end of the appointment, she didn't pressure me and simply told me how to follow up. We were looking for bridesmaid dresses with the bride who already purchased (overpaid for) her wedding dress. It started off horrible and went downhill from there. We walked in the door and stood there for at least a minute until we had to ask someone for help. I figured since they would be making over half a grand from us we'd be treated better but it just got worse from there. So the lady "helping" us handed us each a different dress to try on and we went to the dressing room area and each tried them on. When we came out none of them fit correctly and the lady wasn't even there to assist us. We stood outside the dressing rooms in our uncomfortably cheap and misfitted dresses for almost 10 minutes before she came over and had the nerve to pick on the different reasons for why our dresses weren't fitting such as my chest area being too small and my friend's shoulders being too broad. She finally brought us one more dress to try on and said she'd show us how to tie it but when we came out she had disappeared again. After waiting 15 minutes in our dresses with NOBODY EVEN SAYING ANYTHING TO US we decided to change. We got our clothes back on and waited another several minutes and as we started to leave she finally came back and wanted to get our measurements. Not a single word about her abandoning us. Please do not waste your money here. PM me and I will tell you better places to go with dresses that don't look like they were sewn from a used trash bag, and cheaper too. I can't believe this place. We set up an appointment for a 4:30 pm bridal and 6:00 pm bridesmaid. We were in the system, and confirmed and they overbooked us. Couldn't even have the decency to answer phones. Very disrespectful when I asked to check in, "yeah, uhh you're not in our system," is how the woman responded and treated me disrespectfully. Being a bride is supposed to be a special time, and honestly I was treated like dirt, they TRIED to remedy the system by "fitting us in." But we sat and waited, and nothing happened so we walked out. I went in the other day with my Maid of Honor and Groom to try to figure out our colors. We had a general idea of what we wanted but weren't quite sure (we wanted purple, red, and orange since we're having a fall wedding). Chris greeted us at the front and was very helpful throughout our entire visit. With his help, we found shades of each color that we liked and Chris also picked out some great dressed for my MOH to try on. Although we weren't there to buy that day, my MOH will be back (since she lives here, we live in Denver). Not impressed. I went to try on bridesmaid dresses and I was there maybe 20 mins and got to try on 3 dresses. When I asked the sales lady what other long dresses was available in the color I needed I was told "those dresses are the best for all body types". I was told this a couple times when I asked. Needless to say I left there very irritated. I'm the maid of honor in a wedding where we are trying to find alternate dresses after our original dress was discontinued, I'm also planning from out of state. I needed as many options as possible so when the rest of the bridal went we could compare mine to theirs. What should have been a fun fun experience was stressful and discouraging. Never again. Every time I have gone into David's Bridal in Southaven, I've been disappointed by the customer service, but today was just unacceptable. Chris, the manager, was a total smart butt immediately. He was rude when I asked about dresses and he argued with me over things also. I ended up with a super nice consultant who saved my experience. Her name was Natalie I believe. BUT, when I checked out Natalie accidentally ordered the wrong size dress so we when were trying to get it fixed, Chris came up and belittled her right in front of me for messing up. I felt so sorry for her that he treated her like that. It was completely unacceptable and it furthered my disdain for this store. read more

I called asking about a prom dress that a worker said she was going to order, but with her being new and not knowing that I had to pay for the dress before they ordered it my dress was never order. So with the help of Ricca she explained to me that I had to pay for the dress before they ordered it. She had me to go online to make sure she had the correct dress. She was apologizing for the mistake the new lady had made. She also walked me through the process of ordering it and explained everything about the order to me. She was very sweet and nice about it and helped me feel better because i didn't think my dress was going to be here in time for my prom. The worst experience ever! I wanted a headpiece that they said was in stock. They took the broken one off display and took it to the back of the store and glued missing pieces on it and sold it to me FULL PRICE!!! Without my knowledge...!! I thought I was being sold a new item!!! That was some bs!! And very unprofessional and untrustworthy!!!! I went one day to try on wedding dresses and Natalie was a huge help because I had no clue what I wanted. We ended up picking between two different dresses. So I went up there the next day to try on the same to dresses with a friend to see which one I was going with. Natalie was not there and I had a girl named Cody. She was super nice and helped me try on the two dresses again. When I was checking out with a guy named Chris, I asked if Natalie could get the commission because she had actually helped me the most and I went in the next day knowing I was picking one or the other. He was super rude and also a very pushy sells guy. After I had asked about the commission he told me to go have a seat. Then I asked when Natalie would be back in and he quickly told me to go have a seat as he was going to talk with the managers. I was fine with coming back so it would be within the "rules" of a corporate place. I did not mean to cause a mess but I felt they made me wait longer than I should have to come to the conclusion they were not going to give the other girl the commission. I went in today for an appointment and was repeatedly questioned about my decision of using a color scheme for bridesmaid dresses and was repeatedly ignored. I kept asking the lady helping me if I could put them all together so I could get a good look and was still ignored, my mom was ignored as was my bridal party. When I told her the colors I wanted she acted as if it was an idiotic idea with incredible attitude. I wish I had never gone in because I was made to feel as if my ideas were silly when in reality they were all exactly what I (THE BRIDE!!) wanted! Worst experience of wedding planning I've been through. The lady "helping" was not properly trained and clearly didn't how to treat human beings. I have never had a bad experience at David's bridal until yesterday when I call the store because I had a issue with the shoes I order. Well that was a big mistake because Donna was not having it for any complaints, first she put me on hold for over 20 min to where I had to hang up and call back just to talk to her. That's when I explain to her that I order some shoes and they came back used and stretched out and I was wanting to know if she could order me some more. She told me it was nothing she could do about it and I could just come in and get my money back because it was a Clarence shoe, so I say ok and hang up the phone because I could tell she was not trying to help me. my daughter needed to get measurements for a wedding so we went to David's Bridal in Southaven and the young lady Victoria asked if she could help us. I told her that we need measurements and she said if we were not getting the dress from their store they didn't do them. Another young lady in the same wedding as my daughter went 2 days later and Victoria was able to give her measurements. I think that it was a racial thing at this point. I called and spoke with management and they told me to have my daughter come in and they did her measurements as well. No thanks to Victoria but thanks to management. read more

I previously posted a review back in January on how my experience was at Davids Bridal. Originally my review was pretty good. I recently visited this location on yesterday to pick up my dress out of layaway and I experienced bad customer service, I really couldn't believe it. I bought my dress but due to some unforeseen circumstances I couldn't purchase some of my other items in the layaway. I politely asked could I return the items and just purchase my dress and purchase my other items at a later date. The sales associate and store manager kept questioning me about why I couldn't purchase my items. The manager was very rude to me to the point I couldn't believe it. The manager also referred to me as an "issue" and not a customer. I still purchased my dress so I thought I was still considered a "customer". I was getting so upset to the point I wasn't going to purchase my dress at all but I was so in love with it I still bought it anyway. I didn't get have a nice day or anything from the manager after leaving the store, so I politely just left. After getting in the car my feelings were so hurt and you would think getting your dress for your wedding will be an exciting moment but not for me! read more

I would never recommend this location to anyone that is looking for help with a pleasant wedding experience. We have had multiple issue(this is a double wedding/2 different brides, same location, same manager) with this location and to make matters worse, the head store manager only makes the issues worse. My first experience started with the store manager barging into the dressing room without knocking, mind you I am half naked in the dressing room, leaving the dressing room door open as people are walking by(one of them being man). Yep, that right, he got an eye full due to the managers lack of respect!! My second experience, I was promised that I would pay the same price in store for my dress as it was priced online. I was told this information by 3 different David's Bridal employees. I go to pay for my dress and the manager, same as previous incident, refuses to give the price. Are all David's employees not to abide by same rules and regulations?? It seems as if this store has it's own rules and regulation to follow for different employees. Finally, trying to get a proper refund from this location and the manager was the worse experience ever. She has had 4 opportunities to correct the error in the refund but STILL can not get it right. She keeps deducting money from the refund not giving the correct refund. Luckily I have kept all my receipts to prove that she does not know what she is doing. Purchased a bridesmaids dress for one of my bridesmaids and it was going to have to be shipped for LA. Manager called and spoke with this store about having it shipped. I ever paid a rush fee to have it shipped. The dress was in the employees hand at the LA store. Returned to the store for other reason and that same manager just happen to recognize that I was the one to purchase that dress, she tells me that it was no longer available.....how is that possible when the employee at the other location had it in their hand as you were speaking to them about the shipping???? SO, this is were the refund comes into play. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT THIS DAVID"S BRIDAL EVER AGIAN NOR WILL I GIVE RECOMMENDATIONS TO ANYONE FOR THIS LOCATION! I had a long experience over the course of several months due to the multiple weddings planned in the past year. My experience speaking with the David's Bridal in Memphis was bad. I remember my first interaction speaking with the Southaven folk was like night and day. Scarlet gave excellent customer service on the phone and I was able to order what I needed. A couple of problems: one dress I ordered had arrived 1 month before I was notified. I still had it in time for the wedding but it would have been nice to know earlier. Also, that same dress was too small. I appreciate that they tried to alter it for free. On the other hand, though they said they would call me when ready, it was ready for a few weeks before I found out when I eventually called them. They were polite and apologetic about it though, which I appreciate. read more

Found the perfect wedding dress at Davids and said yes, but the hook at the top of my dress was missing. Was told that it would be fixed the day I picked my dress up. A month later, I pick my dress up and was told I would have to make an appointment to try the dress on, but was reassured that the hook had been sewn onto the dress. Got home, unzipped my bag and came to find out that the hook had NOT been sewed back on. Called the store, told the lady the problem, and was put on hold for 20 minutes. Finally hung up, called back and Chris answered the phone. So I explained my problem to him and his response was "honey I can assure you that your dress did not leave my store without a hook". ( so at this point I'm assuming I'm being told that I am a liar? ) And then he goes on to tell me that if I want to I can bring the dress back in to let him see. (I live 70 miles away, and I wasn't making the drive just to prove a point) so my mother bought a hook and sewed it on my dress, otherwise i couldn't have zipped it up. I expected the customer service to be way better, but I was wrong. I like Davids, but definitely won't be dealing with this location again. read more

I visited David's Bridal on 03/14/2017. My experience was rated a three because the first person who helped us was kind to me but very rude to the bride. Eventually, she made the entire group feel uncomfortable. When I arrived, I was greeted by Eutena who was the salesperson assigned to my friend, who was getting married. Eutena and I talked about her daughter and she was very friendly. Her attitude changed when we said we would wait to order our dresses after my friend had picked the alterer and was certain on her decision for this dress and it's specifications. At this point, Eutena became rude and pushy. After the bride stood firm upon her decision, she walked away and started to clean up our fitting area. I asked Eutena if we could purchase one dress to take it to a lady that did alterations for her to look at the material and make certain that she could alter it to the bride's expectations. She told me yes, but then removed the dress from our area. When the bride went to retrieve the dress, she recanted her statement and I was asked to come over to see what the miscommunication was about. When I asked her about what she said, she simply said, "you cannot do that. That is not our policy." Well, I am fine with that. "What is the policy?" was my response. She then, in a very snarky tone said "I will get the manager for you. He can tell you about it." My issue here is that a store has a policy and I appreciate policies. You all are in business to make money. Where my disdain came from was her tone, demeanor, and nerve. Eutena could not tell me the policy. If a store has a policy, all associates should know it and feel comfortable enforcing it. Which means that answering my question about what the policy is does not warrant an attitude or no response. This interaction left a bad taste in my mouth and I was prepared to go to another location to buy my dress. Then Chris came out. With his pleasant attitude and soft tone, he explained to us the policy and really relaxed all of the tension present that evening. I was able to purchase the dress from him and we made sure all the other bridesmaids knew to purchase their dress from them. I hope that Eutena did not get credit for our sale. I would be very upset if my hard earned money assisted an individual who made my shopping experience less than the best. Her only responsible was to calm the bride's wedding nerves and make our shopping experience delightful. She failed in that aspect. However, her greatest accomplishment was turning us over to Chris who took awesome care of us, complimented each individual, and he made us all smile and feel appreciated. Someone needs to open a bridal/special occasion dress store...cuz David's bridal SUCKS!!! Horrible customer service. I stayed on hold friday (3 times mind you) for 15+ mins each time...to reschedule my dress pick up since the lady that has been working with me had her daughters wedding..I just sat on hold for 8 mins waiting for someone to confirm my appointment since I didnt get a call or email like I did friday...seriously! And on top of all that bs, my bridesmaid dresses were in about 3 weeks ago and I was contacted. ..not them...and I was told (even though they had already paid in full for their dresses) that if they didnt pick them up with in 7 days, they would be returned. The most stressful part about wedding planning? Dealing with David's bridal. If anyone having any pull is reading this, Tabitha and Party should get everyone's pay check. The only amazing people there. Everyone else has a better than you-you aren't worth my time attitude. Will NEVER EVER BE BACK!
