My experience with David's Bridal was stressful and disappointing from our first appointment to our last appointment. Unfortunately, my bride tribe wanted to take a cheaper route and decided to purchase their dresses here (3) back in January 2022. Upon arrival, we were paired with a very unenthusiastic women who directed us to a small section in the back. We told her, numerous times I might add, that the wedding is June 12, 2022 and we need royal blue dresses. My bridesmaids tried on a few and fell in love with one. After trying it on, taking pictures, and everything else, the rep. tells us it won't be ready by June 12th. OK. They try on another style, fell in love, again, the rep says, it doesn't come in royal blue....OK! She then tells us that our appointment is coming to an end, we basically need to leave...She literally wasted our time now telling us to leave..NO! We end up working with a manager, Torre. Torre is very apologetic, super pumped to step in and help. She finds us different dresses, gives us an arrival date, sets up a profile for the other bridesmaid (she couldn't make it so we picked something out for her to try on), and sends us on our way. The bridesmaid that didn't come goes to her David's Bridal location and finds out the profile was never made, so she had to get some random dress. The other bridesmaid dress came in earlier than expected, which was great! The last dress...we had major issues! Apparently the dress was shipped to the store but nobody notified us, so it was shipped back to the warehouse and had a delivery date AFTER my wedding. How they f***k that up, I don't know. Trying to find out exactly where the dress was and if it would be here in time was a nightmare! Each rep, including the manager Torre, provided different information and set different expectations. We felt like we were being lied to and/or finessed the entire time, it was an emotional roller coaster! I feel like everyone just said what we wanted to hear and didn't really know anything. Great experience! I went in to David's bridal at Springfield last Saturday to look for a prom dress. I wasn't sure if I would find something, especially something that would be pretty and not too costly. Jaleesa hooked me up!!!!! Seriously, y'all, if you go in to the store just ask for Jaleesa, because she's amazing. She found me a great dress that wasn't too expensive (half off- yess!!) and she was warm and friendly. She wasn't lying when she said we're her family when we walk in to the store. She offered me different options, and all these ways to dress up and down my dress. never again! this place is all about commission. My daughter stood in line for over 45 minutes watching others being taken care of THAT WERE AFTER HER instead of her. Yes she is a CHILD that was ignored, she asked for help numerous times and was ignored. this is unacceptable and if she wasn't in love with the dress I would have told her put it on the ground and leave it where it belongs. No one customer is better then another. Knowing I was on hold on the phone waiting to pay makes it no better. whether she was paying for it or putting it on hold she is still a customer. this is the same store that when I was looking for a wedding dress told me to go home take a colonic and come back. needless to say I would rather pay boutique prices and get better services then pay $300 for poor service. read more

I went to David's Bridal not to buy a wedding dress, but just to try on styles. My mother is an amazing seamstress and it was always understood that she'd most likely make my gown, but that if we found the perfect dress, we'd buy it. I had no idea what I wanted so we had to start with seeing what styles and silhouettes looked good on me. I made multiple appointments but the first was at this DB. I was reluctant based on the other reviews here, and on the fact that the one or two times I'd been in there for other weddings I was in it was like a zoo with mostly teenagers looking for proms dresses. Plus my fiancé and I are trying to avoid vendors we call "Wedding Factories" which you can't deny DB is. Anyway I went at 11am in a Thursday in October, with only my mother. Let me tell you it's all about the timing with this place. If you go on a weekend in January or April it's going to be packed. But while I was there only two other customers came in. My consultant, Michelle, was able to dedicate a lot of time exclusively to me. We didn't say that my mom might make my dress, we just started with a couple favorites I'd saved from the website, and a couple Michelle pulled based on them and what I told her. She listened, she had fun with us, and she got teary with us when (much to our complete shock) we actually found the dress, which we weren't even trying to do. We were there for four hours and we had an incredible time. The manager-on-duty, Mallory, was great too. They really had fun with us. If you are anything like me, a low maintenance, down to earth bride who needs this process to be as stress free as possible, try to get a mid-week appointment. You will have a great time and may end up dressing your whole bridal party there! read more

Went dress shopping today for the first time...found tried on 5 and found 1 I really love. Jaliesa was great and helped me figure out and narrow down what I liked and what would go well with the smaller, more casual wedding I'm planning. I was worried there wouldn't be enough time to find a dress, order it, and have it fitted, but she assured me there would be plenty if I decide to purchase it soon. Will definitely be returning to show my mom the dress and hopefully purchase. Made an appointment to look for wedding dresses. The consultant took forever to introduce herself. She was seeing more than me at the time, so I was treated second rate. She didn't listen to anything I said and picked out dresses that I had no interest in. When I informed her I wasn't ready to purchase a dress she completely disappeared. How professional, found a very similar dress for that happened to cheaper. Glad I didn't waste my money on that place. If you wanna feel unimportant and rushed, this is the place for you. read more

I didn't find my dress here but I had an excellent shopping experience with consultant, Yvonne!! She is so great, the experience she provided was phenomenal compared to any other bridal salon I went to. I went by myself on a quite Monday afternoon, she got to know me and helped me into each dress. By help I mean gather the dress so I could step into or she would put overhead while I hold so she could pull down, such an angel she is! I also liked that she gave me a corset and this spandex mermaid thing with tulle on the bottom to wear under the dresses I tried so I could see exactly how a dress would be. I really appreciate that she called me a week later to tell me there was a sale coming up on dresses that I was interested during my first visit. I didn't expect to find a dress that I would be interested in at David's bridal, but ended up finding two dresses of interest by Oleg. If you're a budget bride or looking for a dress under $2000 I would highly recommend you book an appointment here with Yvonne and be open to coming to David's bridal, they really do have some beautiful dresses and you'll be pleasantly surprised or at least get a better idea of what they can offer. read more

I've been here twice recently to choose a wedding dress and then again to choose bridesmaid dresses with my bridal party. I made an appointment for 9am first thing in the morning because I know that these places get crowded. Both times the ladies at the check-in and register were very pleasant and we were helped right away. The woman that helped me through the entire process (Yvonne) was such a pleasure to work with and always made me feel special. From the first time I tried on a dress and was so nervous, to helping my girls with their dresses, to being there when I rang the bell and said "yes" to the dress. I have zero complaints and would absolutely recommend this location! Again, it's always smart to do your research and if you're going to show up on a busy day, make sure it's early (9am right when they open is a very good idea!) and that you make an appointment! read more

Davids Bridal was solid from start to finish. After having dress regret with my original dress, I saw a gorgeous trumpet v neck right on the rack, tried it on and knew it was my dress. They made the exchange quickly and effortlessly.Yvonne was amazing and was so helpful during the day i had found "the one" and she is so sweet and such a pleasure to work with. Maggie in alterations did an amazing job and the fit was perfect. The other seamstresses could have done a better job securing some of the loose beads- Maggie was off the day I came in for my second fitting and it was then that i saw some of the loose beading. We came back a week later and while it was mostly fixed they still had to do a little sewing before I took the dress home. All in all, a great experience with davids bridal and the dress was perfect for me. More money does not always equal a better result and this extremely reasonable dress made me a princess. read more

My consultant's name was Kelsey and she was AMAZING! everything she had me try on I wouldn't have believed I would look good and feel good in. The dress I picked was an off white with an antique like feel for my senior prom. I wouldn't have picked this out myself. At first, I thought it would white wash me as I am very pale but last night at my prom, everybody complimented me and my choice. Kelsey also helped me find shoes that matched PERFECTLY! I felt like a princess. Everyone in David's was very pleasant and I'm hoping to have another event to wear that dress to. This is definitely the place to go! read more

This location was my first and only place I looked for my wedding dress. So far I have had 3 appointments here (two for me and one for my bridesmaids). Each time I had Jaliesa--who is absolutely awesome. She's so helpful, funny, and you can tell that she truly cares about who she is attending to. I am getting married June of 2015. Jaliesa was very knowledgeable about the dresses that I wanted to try on, such as the material of the dresses and whether or not it would be appropriate or comfortable for my wedding season. She's also the best at picking out the right accessories!! The first time I went , I picked a dress and fell in love with it. especially with the veil she added to it. I did decide to pick another dress [THE DRESS] during my 2nd appointment, and I absolutely LOVED the way she put the whole look together. Don't get me wrong, I loved the actual dress by itself, but once she added the veil and sash, I actually felt like a bride! Bottom line, Jaliesa is amazing and knowledgeable and knows how to treat her customers right. Overall, I had a great experience each time I have went to this location. All the associates seem so friendly and helpful. When I walk in the door I am always greeted and attended to. I am so excited for next June, and I can't wait to wear my dress!!!! :) read more

So, this place only received two stars only because of an extremely bad experience I had there....although I have had a few great appointments there, the terrible one makes the good ones seem not as good. I have found it really matters which consultant you are paired up with. In my previous appointments I have had two really great consultants, one in which helped me find the perfect wedding dress and made me feel so special (got shoes I was comfortable with, ran around and got different dresses for me etc,). The second consultant I delt with was great, very sweet and helped two of the girls in my bridal party find their dresses...same deal, explained which dresses came in the color we wanted, showed them all to us, explained how it all worked, got them shoes etc. Now to the bad experience....when finding the dress for the maid of honor and flower girl we were paired with a consultant who did not seem to want to help us. Other than taking us to our dressing rooms, there was not much else she did. We all got treated like we were dirt and didn't deserve to even be in the store. I went and pulled shoes for her to wear when trying on the dress, I went and showed her which dresses to try on, I went and got the dresses and exchanged sizes for the flower girl....(this list could go on and on and on) over all it was an extremely horrible experience. No assistant was giving to us, and we just received attitude and rudeness during what is suppose to be a really happy time. We all know that dress shopping, bridal, bridesmaid or even for flower girls can be really stressful. In a store filled with a ton of dresses and people being paid to help us through it all could, to say the least do the bare minimum of their job and at least put a smile on their face, or pretend that they care for a half hour just to get their customers what they need and to be satisfied....not leave in tears of disappointment. read more

Horrible experience. DO NOT GO TO THIS DAVIDS BRIDAL! We were ignored, had to go back twice because they didn't properly size the girls. ( This isn't easy, I live out of state as does one of my girls). When we went back the second time the manager suggested the sizes were wrong because my bridesmaid probably gained weight?!?! Two full dress sizes? Are you kidding me!!! Even if it was true (Which is wasn't) you never say that to a girl trying on dresses!!! How inappropriate and that was from management so you can imagine the girls on the floor. They also gave my room to someone else when I was still in it! So, I was walked in on while trying on gowns. I went today with my grandmom to try on wedding dresses. I had a great experience trying on dresses at David's Bridal in Springfield. I like the curves & sexy while grandmom liked ball gowns. I went during the week in the afternoon. The salesperson was very good and knowledgeable. I felt very special while I was trying on the dresses. When I go back I will work with Laliesa! You rock! The one that she picked was the one that i ended up buying too! She was so knowledgeable and friendly. She gave me space when i needed it and helped me when i needed it. The consultant was NOT ATTENTIVE. I arrived at the store around 3 and was told that I could not try on anything until an open appointment at 6pm. I told them that their websites say walk-ins welcome and that I was willing to not have a consultant and just help myself, but they said that is not possible and how the dresses get damaged. So I waited at the store for 3 hours since I had already driven an hour to get there, only to hardly be helped at all during my actual appointment. The dressing room was dirty and had other people's water bottles, etc. The consultant did not bring me any dresses that I did not pick, even though I was expecting her to use her expertise to brainstorm other dresses and styles that I might like. This was at 6pm and the store did not close until 7:30pm, but I tried on each dress by myself (what they previously told me that I could not do and why I had to wait 3 hours) and then had to wait for a worker to come zip up my dress in between their cleaning of the store. I felt this was very UNPROFESSIONAL and very INCONSIDERATE of my time. read more

If you are not shopping for a bridal gown, you will not receive good customer service. We went for my mother's mother of the bride gown and were basically ignored. When we arrived for our mother of the bride appointment today at 2pm, we were told to go select some styles and our stylist would be with us. We selected two styles in about 5-10minutes and gave them to the ladies at the checkin station. She proceeded to call our stylist over the loud speakers. We sat down to wait. After about 5 minutes, the stylist was called for a second time. We waiting another 5-10 minutes and our stylist came. She showed us to the fitting room and said she would return. My mom tried on the first dress, but needed a different size. I looked for our stylist, but she was busy with a bridal appointment, so I went to get the size myself. My mom then tried on the second style and larger size of the first dress without any assistance or guidance from our stylist. While trying on the larger size, our stylist knocked on the door and told us she would be back and that she needed to check out another customer. We then waited another 20-25 minutes for our stylist to return. We finally got tired our waiting and just left frustrated. While walking out, I stopped to ask someone for a manager and the woman said she was a manager. I voiced our frustration for the lack of customer we received and she apologized in a patronizing manner. You should not double book a stylist with a bridal appointment, and if the stylist is too busy, then a customer should be given a different stylist. There were plenty of extra people around that could of helped us instead of a stylist that was preoccupied with a bridal appointment. read more

Our coordinator in the Springfield store was absolutely fabulous, especially with this really nervous bride who was on a short timeline. I bought the third dress I tried on. But the alterations were a nightmare. The lady doing them was very sweet, but I had trouble understanding her, and I think we had some miscommunications because of the language barrier. We had to order sleeves to match my dress, and no one called to let me know that they weren't in yet, so we went for appointments twice unnecessarily. Organization, please! They've got to know that brides are usually neurotic. You can't mess up with stuff like this. read more

I went to David's Bridal in Springfield for my wedding dress and my bridesmaid's dresses. I bought my dress on my first visit, because I was afraid the price would go back up when the sale ended but I had buyers remorse for months, and kept thinking about another dress I had also tried on. When it was time for alterations, I had so many requests that the manager asked me if I needed a do over. I cried with relief when the manager told me they would allow me to return my original dress since it had not been altered, and I ended up getting the dress that I had been thinking about all along! The manager was wonderful at helping me resolve the situation, and the consultant who helped me with my "do over" was fantastic working with a confused and stressed bride. Dress shopping was stressful for me, because I'm 5'2 and pear shaped but not plus sized. I didn't want a mermaid because it emphasized my worst area but the full A-lines were overpowering because I'm so short. The most flattering dresses to my shape were too simple to feel bridal, so I was struggling. The style I ended up with v3469 was flattering and made me feel like a bride (finally!) Davids Bridal had so many styles it was just a matter of trying them on til I hit the right shape. I picked them for bridesmaids dresses b/c I really wanted to do different styles in the same color. My girls have really different styles from one another so I knew I wasn't going to find one dress everyone was comfortable with. It was easy to find something for everyone in the same color and length. Also loved that they had styles in everyone's sizes... nothing worse than coming out of the dressing room when you're crammed in to a dress 3 sizes to small! I've been there as a bridesmaid myself and I refused to put my girls through it. Alterations team was also wonderful, I brought my mom and my sister to pick up my dress and the seamstress came out to the floor with us and spent a half hour showing them how to lace the corset and how to do the bustle. I agree with the other reviews that it's crazy there on weekends, and getting them on the phone was hard but I just made sure that I made our appointments early in the week and it was fine - they have evening hours so we could go after work. That was a small con against all the pros of working with David's Bridal. read more

My daughter and I purchased a 240.00 prom gown at Davids Bridal last year for the prom. I went to get it dry cleaned and looked at the tag, it says do not dry clean. only spot clean. I wanted to resell it on line. I wish the sales people would tell their customers that the gowns with beads cannot be dry cleaned, we were not told. I go back to the store the manager said, oh well, sorry. Now I have a gown I cannot sell. It was worn twice. Not going back to Davids Bridal again. read more

I had an amazing experience here after an awful experience at a different DB location. I went with my mother and future MIL on a busy Saturday 3 weeks ago. My consultant Maria was older, mature, and extremely professional. I felt that she was invested in the experience not because of the commission, but because she truly loved helping brides. I told her this was my 2nd experience at a DB, but as soon as she found out I was completely neglected last time, not helped with decisions, and never given proper undergarments, she asked her manager not to assign another bride to her so that I could be given her full attention! I was amazed and humbled. Maria was friendly and supportive. She helped me get into everything, clipped my gown when it was too big, gave detailed descriptions about the types of alterations that could be made. She respected my price range and my sense of style, and it turned out that the dress I selected was one that she picked (and one I never would have considered). The manager at the store that day was also incredibly gracious, friendly, and made sure that I had a positive experience. Maria was passionate about her role in my wedding process, and I was so happy that she helped complete one part of my big day! She even talked about being happily married for 30 years and wished me the same. Thank you Maria, so much! read more

I picked up my dress earlier today from David's bridal. The original alterations were horrendous, I forgot who did them but I was extremely unhappy. Maggie the seamstress came to the rescue. She assured me she could fix it. It was taken in too tightly originally, she let it out perfectly. There were tears along the bottom and she covered it with beautiful appliqués. And fixed the bodice so it was no longer pulling. I was completely satisfied when I left. It felt custom made!! The whole team was so happy about the alterations came out to perfection. I would definitely recommend Maggie for your alterations. Becca, Lauren and Lauren were a huge help as well! read more

I started my wedding dress procrss last January 2016 for an april 2017 wedding. I had an awful experience and finally i found a dress after 3 hrs. After a HORRIBLE black friday... finding out someone bought a dress ao similar to mine for a wedding right after mine i refused to wear my original dress and called davids bridal hysterically crying. They immediately made me an appointment with Darrah! I would be saying good bye to a dress that was mine for 10months. Darrah was amazing and so was the store manager lauren. After 3 houra and 20 more dresses i finally found the next best dress. Last night i went in for a fitting. I still wasnt thrilled with dress #2. Again Darrah was fabulous!!!! She made me feel amazing. Was honest. And i couldnt be happier! This woman was amazing! To deal with all the drama and still make me stay true to my heart! If I could select 0 stars I would. I recent came to this David's bridal to try on bridesmaid dresses for my good friends wedding. The entire party was there on time, and our representatives name was Bannie. She was terrible. Not only did she not communicate things properly she was short & seemed as if we were getting on her nerves. Some of the dresses the bride wanted us to try on she didn't have, and just dismissed them. No "I'll try to find them elsewhere" nothing! Just "we don't have them". Not right. Then she just expected us to shout out our pant size for her to bring over dresses in our sizes. At the very least she could have been a bit more discrete. She just walked around the store & hoped we were following her. We were a group of 7, with only 2 dressing rooms, with an appointment. Another problem. After asking, another associate offered us an additional room that was being unused. So that was one positive. Bannie would bring dresses over, then disappear. And none of the dresses she brought over were even the color the bride requested to see. We had to ask her to bring the shade over for us to see! One member of our group was 5 months pregnant and asking how to order as she will have had the baby before the wedding. Bannie insulted her even going as far to say "you know, with your second baby you don't loose the weight as fast" and "are you active? Excercise? Eat right?" None of her business!!!! So rude. Not to mention she didn't even know how to suggest to order Bannie had to ask someone else. She measured me wrong and tried suggesting I order the wrong size. She did not communicate the cost of the dress, or how payment was due up front. Nothing. As we were checking out she just got up from behind the desk ask 3 people had ordered and walked away. Had another woman help us. Again, nothing said. Just walked away. So unprofessional!!!! Last but not least, when the bride requested a swatch, she was told the dress color she selected didn't come on a swatch. ??? What! How can sell a color & not have a swatch??? I asked the woman if other stores had one. She didn't now. We had to ASK her to call & find out. She never offered. Toke her 10 min to find the number to Plymouth meeting - so instead I googled it & called myself & handed her the phone. So unprofessional! Very disappointing as this should be a positive memory leading up to a beautiful day, not a negative experience that many of us should not endure! Use caution as I'm sure many associates are great, ours could care less! read more

I came on a Saturday, so I knew it would be crazy. My saleswoman was Bannie, who was pretty flat in a job where you expect at least a little enthusiasm. But, she was extremely busy and was working with at least one other bride and someone trying on bridesmaid dresses. That's why I give two stars and not one; I don't think its her fault that I didn't get much of her attention because she only had so much to give. She kept disappearing to help her other customers, which of course she had to do. I wish their corporate would allow them to work with one person at a time. However, benefit of the doubt aside, she really had to coaxed into getting dresses after the initial pick we did ourselves. I figured she would know the stock better than us and it would be easier to give her some descriptions and make a selection, which she did do after a couple requests and giving us blank stares. But even then that whole store didn't have more than 2.5 racks of wedding dresses to choose from. You get what you pay for here I think. I don't NOT recommend them because if you're on a tight budget and you don't care what you're experience is like, I'm sure they'll get the job done. I ended up getting a dress elsewhere. On a sidenote, I got a bridesmaid dress fitted here and had a great experience with their seamstresses. read more

As soon as I walked in the store, they made me feel like a queen. Every sales associate went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable. I went in with very specific requests. Toni is amazing!!! I can't begin to thank this woman enough. I came in not know what I wanted and about a month away from my wedding date. Within 10 minuets of trying on dresses she knew exactly what dresses to grab to flatter my plus size figure. I really didn't think I was going to find a dress I liked on my figure but she found dresses that fit like a glove where need be and hid problem areas. HELLO...Does it get any better than that??? She made me feel like a bride for the first time during all the crazy planning. She really listened to everything I was saying and even found the most beautiful sash to go with my dress. I had a fantastic experience with David's Bridal in Springfield. Although I made the mistake of showing up on a Saturday without an appointment (I was in town only for the day and my sister was only able to help me then) I was assigned to Millicent, who could not have been better to work with. She worked very hard to find me the perfect dress and then matched it up with a great veil and some jewelry. She was professional, warm and enthusiastic, and I could not be happier with the whole experience.
