Found the dress of my sisters dreams at a great price... BUT.... Service was severely lacking. There are no seats for your friends or family to sit in - we were asked to sit on a shelf. The try on experience was not fun.. we had a scheduled appt and felt SO rushed the entire time, the try on rooms are one right on top of the other- nothing private or calm about it. You're crammed in next to everyone else's wedding party and it was just chaos. The stylist was very blunt and kept saying things like "you won't like this one" "this isn't the one" "I don't know why you'd pick this ugly one" "people ALWAYS choose the first dress they try on" which we didn't do, it was actually the third.. but the constant comments took away from the special time. Even the stylist next to us was rushing her bride saying "you won't get through all these dresses, you're only allowed five" We left and my sister got in the car and felt like wow that didn't go how I dreamt it would. What a shame. If you're looking for a budget friendly place- it's okay.. just know what you're going to get going in.. because it certainly isn't a great special experience. I do not recommend coming to syracuse's David's Bridal. My stylist was not very helpful, was rude to my mother and friend, did not pick any of the styles I wanted, and left our appointment 10 minutes early. The bathroom was also filthy with no toilet paper and no soap. And as for the seating arrangements, thank god I only had my mom and friend with me this time because they had to sit on a ledge filled with merchandise. Safe to say I am not satisfied. read more

Here are the reasons I ultimately didn't go with them. It basically boils down to customer service. I scheduled an appointment and put my gowns I wanted to see in my cart for them to show me - all in my budget. When I walked in the door, I was ANXIOUS. I didn't bring my bridal party. I brought the two people who spend the most time with me - my 24yo daughter and my 5yo son. There was a Black-American employee that when I walked in, looked at my son and said loud enough for me to hear, "Oh, here we go" as she rolled her eyes. No one really greeted us at all. The girl that worked with me was sweet. It was her first day and she was very kind and caring. She told us to browse, but it's not like we knew where to look, what sizes, or designs. I've never done this before! My 5yo was the one that took the lead and pointed out dresses he thought were pretty. Ultimately, she only showed me 3 of the 12 dresses I had picked out and only 1 was within the budget I identified. All the ones that were in my cart were also within my budget that I could purchase same day. Although she was really sweet, did her high pressured sales tactics, I had made a clear statement that I wasn't buying anything for 24 hours after the appointment and I was sticking to it. The dress I was stuck on was the one the 5yo picked out. Kid has taste! Upon leaving, we had a nice chat with the rest of the ladies (except the Black employee who cut her eyes again and left), where I learned that they no longer get a commission. If you want to tip, take cash! Ultimately, I bought my dress elsewhere mainly because I was really clear on my budget and what I wanted to see and it really wasn't followed and as well as how my child was regarded. He was well-mannered, polite, and sat quietly until asked to help pick a dress. It left a really bad taste in my mouth. read more

The woman we initially had assisting us with bridesmaid dresses should most certainly try a different career path. We then get a new person to assist us that was great and helpful but we didn't get sized properly as every bridesmaid received a dress that didn't fit (a size too large or too small). The most of the dresses came in the week of the wedding and the last dress came two days before the wedding leaving us no time for alterations. We also had zero warning that the dresses weren't coming in time until the two days after they were supposed to come in. We also got the flower girl dresses from there and the buttons were falling off. The dresses were over $160 a piece for so id think the dress shouldn't be falling apart upon arrival. 10/10 don't recommend the extra stress this place causes while already planning a stressful event!! read more

I just wanted to say that the service that I received at Syracuse David's Bridal was wonderful. I was a walk in customer and knew I may not get a lot of help because the associates could be focused on your customers with appointments. There were two Bridal groups there when I walked in. Your receptionist Myallice (sp!), immediately helped by calling over your saleswoman Sadina D..Sadina was very kind, and after listening to me started pulling dresses for me to try on. Sadina just looked at me and seemed to know what size for me to try on. I was looking for a semi-formal full length gown for my neice's wedding. Sadina quickly brought me four gowns to try on that matched the description for my needs. Between helping me zip up, and giving excellent advice, Sadina was still able to help the wedding party associates by running to the back to pull samples they needed for the bridal parties. I was very impressed by professional help and behavior that everyone got from her. I'm in my sixties and quite tall (5' 10") and I wear woman's sizes, Sadina was able to weed out dresses that she knew I would feel uncomfortable in. It helped a lot! Usually I would have had family or friends to shop with, but I wasn't able to this time! Sadina filled that roll with grace and a smile. I was weary about coming here given recent reviews that have been posted, but I ended up having an excellent experience. I was able to pick out and try on every single thing that I wanted from their showroom, and did not feel pressured at all to pick any sort of dress or go out of my budget. I ended up finding the perfect dress for me, and my stylist paired a beautiful veil to go with it that I couldn't resist getting as well!! So with that being said, don't take the bad reviews too seriously, and try out a bridal fitting for yourself! I'm so glad that I did!! read more

Went here for my best friend's first dress try on. Made an appointment online and we were there on time. The bride was open to try anything because again never tried a wedding dress on before. We weren't buying a dress that day due to having more than enough time before the wedding to find a dress. When we got there we were greeted and able to look at dresses. The bride did want to try a romper on and possibly purchase one if she found it for the reception ( never got to try one on). The lady who helped us was Sol. She seemed nice however ended up making the appointment a terrible experience due to her attitude and not listening to what the bride wanted, for the wedding party and the bride. The bride told her what she was looking for but was open to try anything and everything that she could. The bride did have some reference pictures which were shown to Sol. All that ended up getting pulled was nothing that the bride loved. When the mother of the bride and matron of honor found three dresses that the bride might love they were told no that's not what the bride wants and that she is there for the bride by Sol. The bride never tried on a single strapless dress like she wanted and the whole time felt rushed. Sol continually looked at her watch the whole time. The bride might have tried on 6 dresses and only liked one ( which was suggested to Sol by the whole wedding party). Mind you a bride that started before us tried on over 10+ dresses and each one the bride seemed to like. That bride was still trying dresses on when we were told our bride couldn't try anymore dresses on due to time. There was one dress that was similar to what the bride wanted and we asked Sol if the bride could try it on and again we were told no because she wanted the bride to try on her favorite two dresses. I told Sol we should ask the bride if she wanted to try on another dress or her two favorites because it is her appointment. Sol rolled her eyes at us and asked the bride. Sol was very unprofessional and rude the whole appointment. We ended up speaking with the manager however none of the issues were resolved. The bride ended up in tears after the appointment due to the terrible experience. I do not recommend coming there. Plus half the dresses you can't try on due to them not being in your size especially if your a bigger girl. read more

I went in with my mom and three friends because we saw that there was a sale going on, so we decided to try on some dress for an upcoming occasion. As me and my mom were looking around near the dressing rooms we overheard two employees saying "don't let them be all over the place". We were the only customers there too. Each of us picked 2-3 dresses to try on, one of the employees came to us and asked us if we wanted a room we agreed and went in to try them and that lady kept an eye on us the whole entire time. My friends went to a different section from us to try on dresses and the employe kept eyeing us as she followed us from a distance. Me and my mom decided to go with one dress each but my friends were so uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. We went to check out but my friends told me to leave it since we felt judged the whole entire time and it's not worth it, so we just said have a good day and left. We were there for around 30min and felt uncomfortable and judged the whole entire time, not the best experience. read more

My best friend is getting married and we were hoping to find a wedding dress for her today - made an appointment, made a profile online, picked all of the dresses and styles she liked. We show up and get to do it all over again because no one had looked at her profile and most of those dresses she liked aren't actually in stock or in her size. The stylist dragged the dresses to the changing room, left us to clip the larger dresses to her body to see if it will fit, knew seemingly nothing about any of the dresses or how they should fit, didn't offer suggestions or commentary, and tried to get my friend to squeeze into a dress half her size when there were other dresses she liked in closer sizes that she wasn't given a chance to try on because it "wasn't her size". I'm sure it's every bride's dream to be made to feel insecure about the body they're confident in while trying to buy a dress for one of the most special days of their life. We left well before our hour long appointment was over. I understand that they're a department store/ chain and cannot offer a boutique experience, but when you are looking for a wedding dress and have spent time and energy scheduling an appointment, gathering friends and family to be there, you want this moment to feel at least a little bit special. When we left early and explained why, the folks at the front didn't seem too surprised or concerned about the experience and blamed most of the experience on corporate. If David's Bridal is the only shop in your budget, just walk in. Don't try to make an appointment. If you do, don't expect to be made to feel special. You're on your own, good luck. Hopefully you can figure out what size you are and then buy your dream dress online, because I've had more positive customer service experiences trying on clothes at Walmart. read more

Our visit here was one of the worst shopping experiences ever. The woman who was assigned to help us was not knowledgeable. She made us feel uncomfortable and as though we didn't belong there. For clarity, we went in for my friend to try on dresses for their friend's wedding. We are both plus sized Black women; and my friend uses they/them pronouns. So first, the woman can over and abruptly stated that they probably wouldn't have anything that could fit. She then insisted on dresses in colors and materials that did not match the bride's request. She made comments about my friend's body and even screamed out loudly (for the entire store to hear) because one of the too small dresses she'd brought over made a tearing noise. Outside of this individual's poor customer service, I find it ridiculous and unfair that their were no floor samples in the largest available sizes for common styles. I also find it outrageous that the store does not make a good effort to accommodate diverse customers (i.e., gender and racial diversity). From the moment we walked in to the moment we left in defeat and anger, we felt as though they didn't want us there and had no intention to genuinely help. I hate this experience because my friend deserved respect and a meaningful experience as she prepares to support a long time friend at her wedding. read more

Buyer Beware! Do not order any items from a David Bridal store, that has to be shipped to the store. That goes for a Wedding Dress, that you saw online - that they don't have in the store to look at or even try on, and they want you to purchase first. The trick is to keep your money and give you a store credit, even if you don't like the dress after you try it on! So now you're stuck having to buy your dress from their company. How are you stuck, you ask? Well, their receipt says "No Returns after 7 days of purchase". That rule only works for items that you purchase and take out the store with you that day, only! Not for orders you place while in store and being shipped. Because the date of purchase is just that - the day you paid for it. It has nothing to do with the day it arrives and in your possession. My corset bra arrive 2 weeks after purchase. It was still too big in back and cups. Tried on a smaller size and back was too tight, but cups were still too big. So corset was not a good fit for me. So, no refund, but store credit? Tricky, tricky, David Bridal. So, the customer is at their whim because the customer can't control if the item arrives 7 or more days after purchase. Called customer service and they believe this practice is correct. I'm just so glad I had the common sense not to purchase a plus size dress I was looking to try on. I'm mean, Every dress I selected to try on, in plus size, wasn't there. They said, in order to have it sent to the store to try on, Id have to purchase it first. How can I buy a dress I haven't tried on? With this no payment refund after 7day purchase rule, they would've kept my money and give a store credit if it did not fit right, and the dress arrived to the store, 7 days or later. I didn't agree with that practice and went else where. Other bridal stores only charges $50.00 if your dress in not there to try on and $25.00 of your payment gets credited toward your dress. Not like David Bridal who wants to trap you and keep all your money so you can only buy from them. I just want to spare you the surprise at David's Bridal where your whole Wedding Dress budget will be held ransom till they make you buy from them. If they had good merchandise, they wouldn't have to entrap customers to sustain their business. Congratulations on your engagement and have fun planning one of the best days of your life! Ordered a dress but after a few months it never came. I tried tracking which showed it was delivered to Brooklyn NY (clearly not me). I went to the local store and they told me they couldn't help me. Called corporate number who told me that too much time passed and they could no longer help me. Spent $300.. and got no dress or refund. To top it off, my other accts seem to get hacked (Kohls, Chipotle,etc) after this and delivery addresses defaulted to Brooklyn. It all started with David's Bridal. read more

I came here to pick out a prom dress and I was pleasantly surprised. I expected to be swimming in a sea of dresses and have a difficult time figuring out my size but I had a very nice time. The woman who helped me was Brett and she was very kind, straight to the point, and organized. Due to Covid my daughter rescheduled her wedding date to next year. I recently got on David's Bridal through a text message they sent and agin found that same beautiful dress . I called them to inquire about the dress and Kiara looked up the info and then advise that I make an appointment to come in and try it on so that is what I' m going to do . My family went shopping here this weekend for my cousin's wedding dress. I'll start with the pros; We were pleased that they opened early and took appointments as early as 9 on a Sunday, as a member of our party had to work later that day. Our attendant was very nice and started the appointment by asking questions about what kind of gown she might like. However, and I hate to remark on appearances, but our attendant was dressed kinda frumpy to be selling hundreds of dollars worth of garments. They lead us to the back of the store where the dressing rooms were. I'm not sure if it's the David's bridal business model or this particular store, but we did not get the vibe of one in million that a once in a lifetime moment such as a wedding dress should make you feel. We felt about 1 in 50, which is the amount of numbered dressing rooms set up in a line. We also tried on dresses right next to another girl, making it kinda impersonal. We had a larger party at 7, but there were not enough chairs for us to sit. We weren't offered water or even the small gesture of tissues. Im not sure if the stock at David's is limited, but the attendant didn't really listen to what my cousin liked about the dress, rather just bringing her random ones to try on. I know my taste is different than others, but I found the stock very limited. As we were leaving, a girl was choosing her dress. Her mom and her were crying and I felt like I almost had to look away, as I was unknowingly part of a personal moment because of the lack of privacy. David's is a great place to start shopping, as he attendant was very nice and knowledgeable about dress type (Aline, drop waist etc). However, they would need to modify their inventory, shopping experience and store set up (more privacy) in order to get me to buy or even shop there again. read more

Do not Suggest. Bought my daughters wedding dress here was good and paid in full for her dress and one bridesmai dress. After that is when it went down hill. Another bridesmaid whom needed a bigger size went in the were very rude to her saying phrases such as your too large we have nothing here for you. ( could have been phrased better). so when dresses came in they lied and said they called her several times to pick up wedding dress when they call once5 days prior then told another bridesmaid that they called bride 10 times and are going to throw dress out. Thwhen we bought dress I was under the understanding they wou keep dress until fitting which was only a month away. So my daughter picked up dress they never pressed her dress or the bridesmaid dress. then the other bridesmaid that they said was to large went to pick her dress they told her she couldn't try it on before taking it. her mother had to verbally argue with them until they let her try it on and there was several fitting rooms open. So do they do this to everyone or is it because I paid up front and they had no reason to be nice any further. read more

I had an appointment with this store, and when I got there I stood at the front looking for help and 2 ladies behind the counter just kept talking to each other. It was not until I interrupted their conversation to ask who I needed to talk to about my appointment that they acknowledge me. Then once they did acknowledge me one lady said let me find some one to help you. Ince they did find someone to help me they were confused and had no idea what they were doing. This is a large chain bridal shop that offers brides' dresses, bridesmaids/mother of the bride/groom dresses, and accessories for very affordable prices. Prior to coming here, I had gone to around 5 other bridal shops: 1 in Denver and the rest in the San Jose/Sunnyvale/Los Gatos area in South Bay Area, California. I decided last minutely to come to David's Bridal just on a whim. One of my bridesmaid got her wedding dress from David's Bridal at a different location. I liked that it was super easy and fast to make an appointment online. I made an appointment just the day before and they were surprisingly open on labor day! This was definitely the cheapest of the places I went to. It is a huge store but it offered less dress options that I liked compared to the other places I had been to. They have a great selection of flower girl dresses and bridesmaid dresses. An ornate bejeweled belt here costs around $130. I didn't buy my dress here but I did enjoy my experience. I thought my dress consultant, Donna, did a wonderful job understanding what I liked and disliked and was patient and helpful. They had discounts today because it was labor day. My favorite dress here was less than $550 when I was looking at dresses in the $1,500-3,000 range elsewhere. The most expensive dress I tried on here was $1,200. What's great about a chain bridal shop is that they can deliver the dress to any David's Bridal location & you can get it altered anywhere. For a person like myself who lives across the country from the location of my wedding, this is ideal. I thought the interior of the space was spacious, clean and elegant. I also liked how they let you borrow heeled pumps so you could really envision how you'd look on your wedding day with the extra height. read more

If I could give David's Bridal no stars and still write a review, I would. In the last year I have been there 3 times and each time it got worse. The first time was about this time last year. I was a bridesmaid looking to try some things on. I wound up feeling pressured to buy a dress that I wasn't in love with. The consultant I was working with made me really nervous about the dress coming in on time and needing alterations, so I bought it and later hated it. I went back in about 6 months later to just get a feel for what I really liked. I wanted to try things on and get an idea on size so I could order from an online shoppe. The bride was with me this time. While I was in the dressing room the consultant said to the bride "You know, tattoos really don't belong in wedding photos. You should have her consider sleeves or covering them with makeup if she's going to wear something like that. Just saying" I proceeded to get dressed and told the bride I was leaving. Today was the worst of all. This time, I am the bride and I took my mom and future MIL to try on some dresses. My wedding is still pretty far away but they are both considering online ordering and want to get everything squared away sooner rather than later. Today we had 2 consultants, Jovi and Nicole, both very nice girls. However, they both seemed to be more interested in my part time job or their phones more than doing their job, neither girl helped pull a single dress for either of them or helped them get into/zip up any of the dresses they tried on, Jovi disappeared after they finally started actually trying dresses - I later found out she went home early because she was bored. This barely scratches the surface but I think the icing on the cake was when Nicole said to me in reference to my future MIL, "I just love how excitable she is! I mean, she's like a little Jack Russell Terrier and I mean that in the most genuine way possible!" My jaw just about dropped. Long story short, if you even read this far, avoid David's Bridal on Erie Blvd like it's COVID-19. read more

I had an appointment for yesterday to shop for a wedding dress. I was waiting up front, along with another lady for maybe 2 or 3 minutes before anyone came to greet us. A woman, who was very nice, let a sales lady know we had an appointment. The sales lady said very loudly that she has helped a ton of people today and we should be given to someone else. Ummm...can you say RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL? We were then greeted by the sales woman who, I guess, drew the short straw and had to help us. She was courteous, but very unenthusiastic. Her personality was dry...sort of like a Triscuit or a dried out biscuit. My fiancé tried to lighten the mood by making a joke or two, but her deadpan expression let us know she wasn't the joking type. I told her I wanted a fit and flare type of dress. She proceeded to show dresses that were no where near a fit and flare dress. Between the rude greeting, the feeling that we were a bother and the driest salesperson ever, we politely excused ourselves and left. If I had four hands, I'd give David's four thumbs down. read more

I went to David's Bridal with my mom and my sister. I live in Chicago, but we had all gotten together for the weekend and I thought it would be fun to give them the opportunity to see me try on some wedding dresses and to also look for some dresses for them to wear tot he wedding. Problem number one: they had no record of my appointment. I had called weeks in advance to make the appointment. When I arrived, the woman asked for my first name. It wasn't on the list so she asked for my last name, which also wasn't on the list. She then crossed off the name of some poor woman, who had my same initials, but whose name looked and sounded nothing like mine. She confirmed that I was there for a come back appointment, which I wasn't, and then asked if the phone number was right, which is wasn't. That whole experience alone should have been enough for me to realize that they are clueless. The woman told up Erin would be right with us and that we should start looking around. My trip to David's was not my first in a bridal store, so I had some idea of what I wanted. What I was seeing on the racks wasn't it, so when Erin came over, I first showed her an ad for a dress I had seen in several magazines. She said they did not have it. I then explained what I liked and what I didn't like in general. They were global terms like, "I don't like the meringue look" and "I like a lot of beading on the bodice," which I thought was going to be helpful in narrowing down choices, as was the case at the other bridal shops I have been to. Erin looked put out. My mom asked if all brides were this difficult and Erin flatly said, "No." She then said she had to rack her brain to try to find something for me. I found three in the 20 minutes she left me; she came up with none. She carried the dresses to a room for me and left me. My sister helped me to zip up the dresses and spread out the train, etc. Yes, that's what a MOH does, but she normally does it on the wedding day, not over and over at the bridal shop. That's what slaesgirls are for, but Erin was nowhere to be seen. They have very few samples in size 2, so I was trying on 4's, which were much too big. I said something to my mom and sister about other shops having clips, to pinch the excess dress so that one can look at oneself without holding up the bodice. Another salesgirl, Erin was still MIA, mentioned that they had some in another room. She then walked away and did not return. It's great to know that clips exist, but it would have been more helpful all around to actually have some to use. Erin eventually came back and said that her manager was on the case. So my mom tried on a dress. My sister tried on a dress. We took some pictures. We talked about dinner plans. We talked about other, nicer dresses I had seen in other, nicer stores. Eventually a woman came over and asked if I needed help. I explained that we were waiting for a manager. She sheepishly admitted that she was the manager and that she had no ideas for me. Why she couldn't have said that 20 minutes before is beyond me. Erin then showed up with a sample (size 6, so again much too big) that was actually what I had asked for all along. The manager got clips, so that I could look at myself without holding the dress up in my hands. They told me to come back when the new dresses came in, admitting that it was too much to take all the fabric and beading that needed to be taken in to make the dress fit me (so at least they were honest and not pushing for the sale, which is the only reason they got a second star). They gave me shampoo samples and a Shutterfly card when I left, so the time wasn't a total waste, but I will never go back to David's Bridal. read more

Back in early December, we came to David's Bridal so that one of my bestest could try on dresses for her big day. The woman, that greeted us at the door, was very professional. She got an idea of the kind of dress she wanted, then assigned her to one of their specialist to pick out a gown. The dresses were gorgeous and true to size. Also, their prices for gowns were reasonable as advertised. As for the staff, there were a few unprofessional things going on like, making me help her into the undergarments because they were running around and doing other things. Maybe I am wrong, but isn't that their job??? One of the bridal specialist gave backhanded compliments to my friend about her style and said: " Your style is very different, I'm dying to see what she would pick out," to everyone who was standing there. The girl made it a point to come over and look at what dresses my friend had on, stared at her then commented: "Oh I just wanted to see what you would wear!" My friend and I were slightly offended by her behavior because it was more like a dig than a compliment. Aside from all that David's Bridal wasn't horrible, just know when you go in there is a mix of professional, and unprofessional people working amongst those affordable gowns. read more

I am here to repent for my sins for sticking my nose up at David's Bridal. It was always the one store I said I would never get my dress from. I went to two high-end bridal boutiques and two discount bridal stores this past weekend. I had no plans to commit to a dress. The interior is not that of a high-end boutique, but the experience was no less magical. Kay, my stylist, was a major reason I left yesterday with the second biggest smile of my life (the first biggest was after getting engaged!) She was patient, gave me a healthy dose of fawning over my bridal beauty, and was so incredibly sweet. So my #1 advice is ask for her!!! There are many styles, the dresses were cleaner than the high-end boutiques I visited and in much better condition (the appliques were not falling off). At the end of the day you can read as many reviews for a bridal store as you want, but it's gonna come down to where you find THE ONE (and I am not referring to your future husband.) I was beyond fortunate to find a GORGEOUS blush/ivory Vera Wang White gown on clearance and to work with Kay! Bottom-line: Go to a high-end boutique so you can have that experience and get it out of your system, but remain open to the fact you might find a unique and perfect dress even at a chain store! read more

Made an appointment to check out dresses. This was the second place we went to, and I had already figured out the style I wanted. We walked in and were greeted and were assigned a stylist. She told us to check out some dresses and pick some we liked. I don't like that. I want someone to find them for me. I don't know how they are organized at all. They have a book, but they don't have most of those in store. Once the lady found us again, she told us she would pick out some dresses for me. Then she had my friend help me in them, not her. Isn't that their job? The dressing area is so crowded and not personal at all. The dressing rooms are tiny. I told her what styles I wanted and that I had liked. She brought me only one dress in that style, and that was the 8th dress I tried. She bought me many that I didn't even fit in, which is just a terrible experience. Had an amazing time!!!! My consultant made me feel important and catered to my tastes and steered to towards the styles I was interested in. LaShonda was amazing! My mom mentioned a longer train and she immediately went out and grabbed a train for me to try that matched the dress. She made my first bridal dress shopping experience amazing!!!! We were in the store for 2 hours!!!! And she helped me find more dresses in the new style I fell in love with. LaShonda also went and consulted with the managers and the seamstresses about ordering the dress and alterations. She did whatever I needed in order to give me all the information I needed to make an important decision on buying a dress. LaShonda was amazing and really made me feel like a beautiful bride. The fact that this is one of the only bridal shops nearby, makes this a sure win. They have lots of dresses, in plus sizes too, that are bound to fit everyone. I am torn by this review because I truly want to give it all 5 stars but this happened: 1. The online and physical stores are run differently. Can't return any merchandise bought online to any David's Bridal shop, and only online returns can be sent back within 14 days, through a request by email...and that's before you get shipping information or any documentation of returns. Plus, anything purchased from the DB shop is not returnable at all anywhere. So bummer if you're in a pinch for time. 2. When ordering a dress from the shop, they will give you an ESTIMATED TIME OF ARRIVAL. Sometimes these items come early or later. Mine came 4 days early. They called me 2x day of arrival to come pick it up. I called back and stated I would come by on Thursday after 6pm. I couldn't make it. But in my mind I thought I had until at least the day of estimated arrival date to pick it up. No you don't. On Friday, 2 days after early arrival time, I showed up to pick up my dress. My dress was packaged already for UPS to be forwarded to me by ground mail. Lucky for me the shipping guy was out to lunch and didn't ship it yet. Second, upon opening the package, I inspected the dress and contents. All was good except that the dress was dirty on the edges of collar and hem and underarm pit area, missing buttons and snaps, and had a RIP and hole plus pulled fabric throughout the dress. My wedding was in 2 weeks and this is what they give me. Plus I paid for a NEW dress already! I alerted the manager, who unbeknownst to me, was helping me all along, and showed her this monstrosity. She took the dress immediately, and went to the back room and called the general manager of the store. After 5 to 10 min, she came back with a brand new dress, same size and clean and beautiful. She apologized profusely but did not give me any discounts, or anything. NO HOSPITALITY. Almost as if they knew this was a mixup that occurs often and my dress was no big deal if it were going to be shipped to me this way. No ACCOUNTABILITY. Lastly, I still ended up paying for a dress bag, which should have been free to begin with after this lack of good salesmanship. But all in all this store manager did try and prayed that there was another available dress. She got lucky that day, and so did I. By the way, side note: the original sales person who helped me with this dress her name is Alexis? I believe. She was amazing and I hope she doesn't get tainted by the unaccountability of sales. She helped me get this dress. So happy and grateful for her! Lesson to learn: 1. This was my second wedding dress this year, it is a secret no one needs to know what it looks like. NEVER SHOW YOUR WEDDING DRESS IDEAS TO ANYONE. Or this happens, you're shopping for another one last minute, because you were group challenged to purchase the first dress. And pray that nothing bad happens along the way. BRIDES!! DON'T DO WHAT I DID. Shop with at least 6 months to spare. Alterations, losing weight and dress mishaps happen, this is very real. Shop with at least 6 months to spare. And only go with someone who will look out for you. Not what will look like or is there preference. 2. Do not limit yourself to just David's Bridal. Sure they have a grand selection but the sales people are not reliable, and the dresses are not always worth it. If you can find a style you like and have it created for you, do it!! 3. Never let others know your plans about your style. It is your style, be proud of your style. Your day, your special moment, your special partner! It's all about you! Keep it that way. read more

Oh my just spent 2 hours with LaShonda. She was awesome! ! Very professional! And she gave my daughter time to walk around and get a feel for the DRESS. She never made her feel fat or that the dress was wrong!! The more my daughter talked the more LaShonda KNEW what she was talking about, she asked lots of questions to help get the right fit. The Erie Blvd store went above and beyond to help out my daughter. Both Shannon and Alex were extremely patient with all of us and did a great job both times we were there. The store manager did everything possible to make what could have been an unhappy bride-to-be very happy. It was very much appreciated that the girls took their time to work with us both times and also allowed us some needed time to consult amongst ourselves on what to do. read more

I have to say I wasn't psyched about going to David's Bridal (and I didn't even see the other reviews before going). I imagined that I would get some one of a kind dress from a nice boutique, however, I can't see paying a ton of money for something I will wear once (or maybe a few times) and I am not doing the whole traditional, big wedding thing, so David's Bridal actually worked quite nicely. Here's the deal: Came in with my mom, didn't have an appointment, and didn't even notice the little desk when you first walk in. Went right for short dresses along the wall to the right. Grabbed 5-6 to try on. I wouldn't give 5 stars because no one came to help me carry them or ask if I needed any assistance, however, in their defense maybe an appt. is preferred, but from the sounds of the reviews, I think I had the right approach. So, I tracked down a sales associate and asked if I could try on the dresses. Then I was directed to check in with the lady at the front desk - ok, no probs. This lady wasn't super friendly, but no big deal as she got me a room within a minute or two. I grab some shoes from the back wall to try on with the dresses and away we go. The second one I tried on fit great and was just my style. I tried a few more on and then decided to go with the second one. I was probably in the store for 25 minutes or less. A nice sales associate came by when I was looking in the mirror and deciding that I had 100% found the dress. She said it looked nice and advised that I should either order the dress or make sure I get it dry cleaned as lots of people come in and try on dresses. Ok, interesting and yes, I suppose that is true... it ended up that it would take too long to order the dress, so I may get it cleaned beforehand, but it honestly looks fine. As another woman is ringing a cowbell amidst numerous family members, I make my way to the checkout. At the checkout the woman asks me a few questions, including whether or not the dress is for my wedding. I respond with yes, unless I get a discount if it is not a wedding dress (I heard an announcement while we were in there about discounts for non-wedding dresses). She said I would get $20 off since it was for my wedding... then later asked me if I also got my dress from there - somewhat puzzling as I was buying the dress - I think that because the dress is more casual and short she maybe thought it was for the shower or rehearsal dinner. Who knows. Total after tax: $150. Boom! 4 stars because i got a dress here and it was a pretty quick and painless process. Had I not bought a dress, I probably would have gone with 3 stars, as this certainly isn't the best place, but for Syracuse they certainly have a decent variety. I'd say David's Bridal is what you make it and if you are looking for a reasonably priced dress it isn't a bad option. Also to note: no refunds, you buy it, you sign the receipt acknowledging that you know there are no returns and you go on your merry way. read more

The first time I came into the store to look at Bridal gowns, they told me to browse while my stylist finished with her previous customer. The store was PACKED and there was no organization to handling the amount of people there. Finally, Sandra came and introduced herself and told me to pick out 3 dresses I thought I'd like....okay so I did. She then brought my friend and I back to the dressing room (which is TINY) while she grabbed dresses. She only brought me 2 choices and I had to remind her of the 3rd. Not only did she not help me with dresses, but she brought me two that were exactly opposite of everything I said I wanted in a dress. I absolutely hated both options. My friend ended up finding a dress for me that I fell in love with. I asked Sandra to add the dress to my profile so I could buy it later. She didn't. I called 2 days later and there was no record of my dress in my profile. I had to go in again. I didn't catch the name of the woman who helped me this time, but she was AMAZING and found my dress instantly. She's the saving grace. read more

As a girl that just recently got engaged and VERY EXCITED to start looking at dresses. I started at David's bridal for my wedding dress hunt. I was very excited for this appointment. It started off well asked good questions about what I was looking for and all of that. But towards the end of this appointment it seems as if the lady that was helping me was annoyed, didn't want to be there, over it, and just not energy that should have been there. I received very little help. I had to keep going in and out of my fitting room to ask for help with zipping or buttoning and unbuttoning. After like my 4th dress my lady tells me I should just come back another day to try on dresses... I was obviously taken back by this and confused as to why she said that when I still had a couple of other dresses to try. I felt rushed. And even tho she took my sizes she gave me sizes that didn't fit me at all not one was able yo completely zip or button... I know that they do order in dresses that fit but you would think if they are gonna have you try on a dress it should be a dress you can fit into. read more

Lady was our consultant and she is AWESOME...We started out as walk-ins on a Sunday afternoon and were very fortunate to get assigned Lady! She asked once if I wanted her in the dressing room or my bridesmaid, and was more than helpful choosing new styles for me and shuttling dresses back and forth to the dressing room while my bridesmaid helped me into and out of dresses (probably about 12-15 total). She picked out accessories and was great about listening to what I liked/didn't like. She didn't blink when a second bridesmaid arrived later, and then supported my decision not to buy a dress I wasn't absolutely loving. I left that day with a solid maybe. Fast forward three weeks, and my bridesmaids and I went to another bridal store in town on a Saturday morning; I am a size 12-14 and they had a very limited number of dresses in sizes that I could even think about trying on. The consultant was ok, but not nearly as invested in helping as Lady. They did have one dress close to my size, in a style I hadn't considered...it was about $400-$500 more than anything I had tried on at David's and I looked at my bridesmaids and said, "We need to take a picture of this so we can go back and show Lady!" We called David's Bridal and managed to get an appointment (with Lady!) later that afternoon. When we arrived in the store, Lady was apologetic; she had two other appointments still in progress, but got us set up in a room ASAP. We were able to walk the racks and find styles that were close, and Lady helped us find more choices (again--she even remembered my size) until I finally settled on the *perfect* dress. She even remembered the "maybe" dress from a few weeks before and brought it to me to try on again to confirm that it wasn't the right one. Ordered the perfect dress that night, and am now awaiting its arrival! Lady made my dress shopping experience something truly memorable; I was NOT excited about shopping for/buying a dress, but she made it great! read more

My wedding is July 25th. I ordered my wedding dress in March and I was told I would get an email when my dress was in and it most likely wouldn't be til June. I never received an email. So today, June 11th, I called and was put on hold while they "look for my dress". Then I was told my dress had been picked up in May. Picked up by who????????? I don't know. So I was told I would get a call back in a few minutes when the manager was spoken to. 2 hours later, I called back and let it ring for 3 minutes and hung up, drove to David's bridal, and told them my situation. I was told the girl had answered the phone every time it rang..... Then the manager says they will rush order my dress- and it will be here July 18th... One week before my wedding. Seriously?!?!? No! someone better fly on over to China and get it from the sweatshop it's probably being made in. After a few minutes of my uncontrollably crying, I'm told it will be here in 10 or 11 days. Let's hope they don't give this one to someone else. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Although my dress is gorgeous and I love it my girls were mistreated numerous times when I brought them in for prom and bridesmaids dresses and now I repeatedly contacted the store to bring my dress back to the store as I'm having gastric bypass surgery and I was told by the manager- Abby. That the managers pick and choose who they allow to bring back dresses from. That isn't right and I did try to contact corporate about this and even they didn't contact me back. What a shame. Will not go back to this store at all. Also will not recommend this store. read more

Another great experience at Davids Bridal. My first experience was last year around this time. I was choosing Bridesmaids dresses for my own wedding, and I loved this plum style long dress that looked amazing on my bridesmaids. I found out that the dress was being discontinued and may be extremely hard to locate sizes for my girls. But I didn't have to worry. Mary, a manager there, told me she would do some digging and find the dresses. She called around and made sure all five of my maids would have that dress. I couldn't have been happier with the results. Fast forward to now, and I'm in a wedding for one of my maids. She picked out a type of fabric and told us to pick whatever dress we liked. A few months ago, I decided on a dress, and I'm not sure what I was thinking. It just didn't look right. I wasn't sure what to do since I already ordered it. I made an appointment for this past Saturday, and told them my situation. They were ready to help. Mary was there again walking me through everything and helping me with the actual exchange process- very very simple! Anna was also a big help, and I'm excited for my new dress to come in.
