My daughter went with her bridal party and mothers on a Sunday, it was a nice place at first , she arrived and there were 8 workers standing around talking about their personal lives They barely greeted them, barely a smile at all , the lady assigned to my daughter looked like she didn't even want to be there. when my daughter needed help with a zipper , they didn't even try , so a bridesmaid helped out , then the workers at the end kept pushing yes to the dress. when we were putting a deposit down, the new girl wasn't all that familiar and almost made a mistake and the person in charge was basically screaming at her in front of everyone I do not recommend this place that has a bunch of rude workers , awful service read more

They are always busy but this time around they helped me without an appointment. Because I am a plus size woman, I didn't think I'll be able to find a dress I like, but I did and I had to make some adjustments of cause. Really impressed with this store. Huge selection, helpful staff and so accommodating without being judgey ! My stylist, Deja cradle , helped me find a wedding dress and I walked in no appointment and they were able to fit me in and everything. I went to another bridal store in CT before this and they had no selection and staff was not understanding and stuck up, the last thing a bride needs during a stressful time like wedding dress shopping. They were both so accommodating in getting different dresses and helping recommend styles that we would look good in. Shelby was patient and kind despite how busy it was and the fact that I was really nervous. I really appreciated her great attitude. But I was disappointed because they did not have three out of the 6 dresses I listed as my "favorites" online. They obviously have access to this info because they had my faves printed out when I got there. I wish they had told me before I arrived that they didn't have them and I would have gone somewhere else. The other thing I have to note is that the sample dresses that you try on are filthy. They have makeup stains and other women's hair on them which just grossed me out completely. I had an absolutely amazing experience at David's Bridal today. My consultant was Emily Russo and she made sure that I was comfortable as soon as we walked in. I was so impressed with her enthusiasm and kindness. She pulled tons of dresses (they had the favorites I had brought in from the website , dresses my mom had pulled , and dresses she picked ). I was nervous about there being a limited number of plus size dresses but it wasn't an issue at all. Emily even took a dress off of a mannequin for me and it ended up being The Dress. I'm so grateful for such an awesome experience today. I would definitely recommend coming on a weekday. We had a really great experience -- as two brides marrying each other -- at David's Bridal. The staff was friendly and helpful. We found our dresses, which were (and are) beautiful! They were decently priced $500.00 each), and we got our slippers and veils there, too, with lots of help. Even though they had to make 2 separate accounts since David's Bridal is a national chain and gay marriage isn't recognized nationally, they apologized about this, which was really nice, and we still got the 10% off each. They also told us to send our photos for their website, which is smart on their part (showing that they're LGBT-friendly), and neat for us. It was a surprisingly great experience! read more

Questions like "How will we be notified when the dress arrives?" and "What is the return policy?" are never to be asked in this store unless you wish to feel embarrassed and belittled. The transaction ended by the manager turning to face in the opposite direction in her swivel chair... Prompting us to ask if we were finished with our order... "Yes." she barked, remaining faced away from us. There was no "have a good day" there wasn't even a closing statement like "you're all set." I left that store feeling badly about my body, my purchase (which is a gorgeous product! I have no negative remarks about the quality of DBs dresses) and this experience that is supposed to be so fun for my bride-to-be sister. My first time in David's Bridal was here in West Springfield. I came with my dad's girlfriend to get fitted and order a bridesmaid dress. She was also there to pick up her bridal gown. The girl at the front grabbed the bridal gown, and then left it hanging out in the front with all the for sale dresses...my dad's girlfriend was so upset she grabbed it and carried it around the store.. The girl found the dress I needed and I told her I think I needed a 2, she looked me up and down and said she thinks I need a 4....okay..your the professional right? (even though she looked at 13 years old in tacky heels). The 4 was HUGE...so she gets me the 2. I try it on and it's still a little roomy but not big..I asked her what she thought because I have never tried on bridesmaid dresses before..she just looked at me quick and said .." I dont know if its big we will order the 0 then." and walked away... We asked for a second opinion from Jen (who is AWESOME we both loved her) she told me I would never need a 0 and to order the 2..she actually looked at the dress on me carefully..THANK YOU JEN. Then there was Lauren, who was helping my dad's gf get into her bridal gown. My dad's gf is looking at it and everything and then Lauren said she needs to go do something... she goes.. "Ya if you need to get out of it or something just have the people with you help..i mean its not that hard.." The whole place was a mess. Maybe because it was Saturday. The young girls were whispering to eachother and giggling...I mean this is serious stuff to women getting married... It would have been much better if one employee helped us the whole time. Don't go here if you're expecting good customer service. I've had to go here twice because I was in a bind for a cocktail dress. On both occassions I looked for the dress online before going into the store. Why? because if you go in the store they will make you check their racks on your own, it would take hours going through them and you would get no assistance while you do. On both occassions when I called i was on hold multiple times, probably 20 minutes each time. They put you on hold every time a customer comes into the store. THEN once you give them the item number of the dress you are looking for they insist on calling you back to notify you if it is in stock. Instead of taking 5 minutes to check the system. When i arrived on both occassions, they quickly handed me a dress, shoved me in the dressing room and left to attend the next person. Save your time, money and frustration and go to a local, small boutique. They will simply take care of you better. read more

Well I wish I could give them a 0 for stars but yep won't let me. Last year,I went in and tried on a dress and fell in love with a dress...btw this store does not do a good job of having more than 3 dresses for plus size brides...but anyways I bought the dress, had a good experience and ordered the dress. I took pictures and it was great! So the dress comes in, earlier than expected that's great too...then it comes time for my fitting... Well the dress didn't fit. I did not gain weight, I had actually lost weight since I bought the dress. My dress has a corset on the back and buckles to keep it secure. Well they never sized me with the buckles clasped. So when I tried it on, it was just the corset, and it was not buckled. I also, checked the pictures on the website versus my pictures, and mine was indeed not buckled. So we have to go get white satin at the local material shop, where my mother is approached by the woman who works there and proceeds to say "let me guess David's messed up again". Apparently this woman worked at a David's in the past and the employees are encouraged to size down or up a size so that people have to spend money on alterations! I found this disgusting, then I started googling it and apparently this has happened to not just me!!! Oh and they won't take responsibility for it. I went in this morning not expecting very much. I didn't have an appointment, I just wanted to look at sale gowns and see if I could find something less expensive than the Alfred Angelo dress I fell in love with. I was lucky enough to get Heather, a really great consultant, when I saw a couple of dresses I wanted to try on. She actually steered me toward a dress I saw on the rack but didn't think much of first that was also on sale for $99, after seeing that I really didn't want to spend much more. I fell in love with the dress the second I had it on, and didn't need to look at more. It was a little too big for me, and she tried to find it at another store, but they didn't have it in stock anymore. She wasn't pushy at all, and asked me if I still wanted it, saying that they could resize it down (I could see with the clips that it wouldn't need too much in the way of resizing, it was just 2 sizes too big). I ended up coming back and getting it. She was an amazing consultant and I was so happy to work with her- even my fiance, who came with me to help me find something, said how nice she was. We were both thrilled with the experience, I really feel Heather went above and beyond and she made my $100 sale feel just as important as others who were buying more expensive dresses. The reason I'm giving David's Bridal a 1 star review is because there's no way to give a 0 out of 5 because that is what they deserve. These woman working at the Springfield location specifically will ask you if you have an appointment, not what they can help you with. Not only that, but my sister-in-law (the bride-to-be) fell in love with a beautiful dress but it did not fit her properly. The lady told her that they would do the fitting for free of the time of her getting the dress but if she would needed fit it a second time, it would have an extra cost. Sounded perfect except that when she went to get the dress fitted they told her it would cost her an EXTRA $300. $300 is a lot of money for someone planning a wedding, especially after you tell them that the dress would get fitted for free the first time, because obviously the dress did not fit her properly. All and all they made her cry, nobody wanted to take responsibility for telling her that it would be free or charge. A horrible experience to add to someone who is already stressed about a wedding. This people are not qualified to make any wedding experience easy and pleasant. The bridesmaids dresses, 2 our of 3 were ordered wrong. After you realize how incompetent they are, then you realize that their return policy is just as bad. You pay for a dress, then you only have 7 days to pick it up (even tho you already paid FULLY for it) and then you have to pay a ton more money if you want them to fix it, which they don't tell you. When we have the bridesmaid trying dresses all they say is "that can get fitted" and not even once she mentioned that it would cost extra. If you want a stress free bridal shopping experience steer away from this place. It is simply not worth the headache. read more

Here we go: I ordered my dress from David's Bridal upon trying on several dresses. My size was not available in the store, so I went with the David's Bridal recommended size and put in the order for my wedding dress. The dress was due to arrive on May 17th and I was supposed to receive both a call and an email when my dress arrived. I received neither. That was the first "red flag". After arranging a day with my mother-in-law to be, I called on Wednesday, May 23rd to schedule an appointment for an alteration so that I could have alterations done immediately after trying on the newly-shipped dress. I was put on hold to confirm that my dress was in the store and it was, so, we went on with the appointment for Sunday, May 27th at 5:30pm. Now, a little bit of background: I live 2 hours out from the nearest David's Bridal so I have to set aside an entire day for the trip to and fro. I brought my mother-in-law to be to the alteration appointment so she could help me pick out shoes and so she could see the dress with me; it was an experience we were very excited to have together, but it did not happen. See, somewhere between booking my alteration appointment and my Sunday arrival to David's Bridal, my dress was shipped out...to my house? Apparently, even though I had an appointment with my dress for the weekend, my dress was in the store for longer than 14 days (even though it'd been 6 days on the day I made the appointment) and needed to be shipped to the home of the purchaser, per your policy. I would imagine that your policy also indicates some form of contact as this all occurs, but to note, no form of contact came through and that's apparent since I was there, in the store. I was informed of all of this as I was sitting in the David's Bridal store and handed a print-out of a shipping confirmation for my dresses arrival, hopefully, sometime today, May 29th. The attendant said to book another appointment for an alteration and I informed them that I live too far and have to set aside entire day's to come to the store. Let's just say their mask of empathy was very thin that day and all I could see off of them was "it's not my problem". The attendants also couldn't understand that I would have to make, in addition to the current trip: one trip to come back to the store for a second alteration appointment with the dress they shipped to my house, two: another trip to then pick up the dress. A total of three days, two additional for the mistake they made, to spend driving back and forth to fix my wedding dress? My account was not noted for the alteration. My dress was shipped out. I've paid for my dress and I DON'T HAVE MY DRESS! Words cannot dignify the amount of turmoil I'm feeling for the complete disrespect and incompetence witnessed in your store. The callousness I experienced in the handling of my Wedding Dress and my entire Wedding Experience is beyond reprehensible. If the store is not capable, with their three computer systems or their inability to communicate with one another on handling basic day-to-day business, then the store should not be in operation. The store is managed incompetently and the attendants do not care; the store is their local hang out spot and the store/clients are treated as such. You should not be paying these people; they are doing a disservice to David's Bridal and the entire wedding/bridal experience. With a month to my wedding, I don't have my dress fitted and it's literally in limbo. Who knows if it will even arrive and what condition it will be in. I shouldn't have to deal with any of these anxieties; I made my appointment and paid for my dress. What will be done about this? I need a resolution for what has happened to me. read more

I was at the David's bridal in Holyoke Massachusetts yesterday March 19th 2022, I made an appointment expecting that if I found a dress it would also be measured for alterations. We got there checked in and was told to go look at dresses as we did then a guy came over and said he would be our stylist and we would be in a certain dressing room ok that's awesome. We then proceeded to go and try on dresses he never came over to see if we needed help stood over in the corner chatting away with another employee. We tried on all of the dresses decided on one and then went over to him asked if we could have help getting measured to get alterations done. He left for few minutes came back and said unfortunately the lady that does the measuring had just gone on break and she could be gone for an while. Now let me ask why make an appointment! Meh, is right. I got a beautiful gown from David's Bridal for under $700 so that was great. My problem came when I went to get my bridesmaid dresses. While I was in the store with 6 bridesmaids, I couldn't get the attention of any of the salesladies. Their inattentiveness showed when my bridesmaids went to pick up their dresses and they were all in the wrong color. I wanted a pale pink and instead got a much darker pink. The consultant at that time tried to talk me into every dress she put me in, obviously in an effort to finish the sale and move onto the next bride. Needless to say, I did NOT buy my gown here for this reason. I went to a bridal boutique and felt like the consultant wanted me to have "the moment" that we all see on the TLC bridal shows. That's what your day should be!! This is a terrible way to run a business and if it comes down to requiring people to make appointments so brides and their maids are not rushed through the entire time, that would make us feel like more valued customers than their current careless system. Don't waste your time here. The older woman with black hair, the manager I believe, was beyond rude. I was there to see my sister try on her dress, but I was looking around as I am also engaged. I never said I'd like to try on a dress, simply poked around. The manager came over and said I should know better than to come in and try on a dress. They don't just let anyone try on a dress, I need an appointment. I told the miserable woman that I was there to see my sisters dress, and then she proceeded to comment on bridesmaid dresses and colors- saying different colors were "gag". She then proceeded to tell my sister and I that we were the same person...we look similar but not that close- what an odd statement. I bought my wedding dress here in January. When I called to make an appointment, the woman on the phone was a little short with me, so I was apprehensive about coming in and didn't know what to expect, especially after seeing some of the other reviews on here. I had a really great experience, however, and got a great deal on the perfect dress. When I saw it on the rack, I was in love, but it wasn't in stock in my size. Jessica found it in my size in purple so I could try it on, and it was perfect, so they ordered one for me in ivory. If she hadn't gone out of her way to find just what I wanted, I probably would have settled for something that didn't quite measure up. Everyone in the store was helpful without being pushy. All brides want to feel special when dress shopping, and I imagine it must be hard to maintain enthusiasm for one bride after another, all day, every day. Nobody here made me feel like just another face in the crowd - everyone was very pleasant and thoughtful. I bought a slip to wear under the dress from the DB website, and it didn't work with my dress, so I took it to the store hoping to exchange it. I was bummed out that they couldn't do in-store exchanges for online purchases (although that's not their fault) and they didn't have what I needed in stock, but the girl at the desk recommended another store nearby that had a good selection and that's where I found what I was looking for. Ok, I went there on Friday for an appointment that was scheduled at 4pm. I had to wait about 15 mins for someone to find an associate to help me with my wedding gown. The associate finally found my gown hung it and I didn't see her again until after I had my gown on (so much for service). They are very unorganized and unprofessional. I didn't appreciate being told that I had to pay an extra $15 to have the bridesmaids gowns mailed to a home address and then later being told the gowns would be shipped directly to the store then mailed to my home address. So, why did we have to pay an extra $15 when we could have picked them up at the store??? read more
