We were able to return a Davids Bridal dress to the Springfield location. (Nashua store would not allow a return.). My daughter is so happy with her dress and the staff we're amazing. Worst customer service I have ever had. I made an appointment a month in advance, and picked out ONE dress to try on that I favorited. I get there and the consultants tells me that they don't have my dress there, they can't order it for me (unless I guarantee to buy it) and they won't transfer it from a different location. Both "ladies" at the front were condescending and very dismissing about why i would be upset that they were not prepared for any appointment. They seemed genuinely surprised that I would be upset that they weren't prepared. The only thing they did was call the Manchester location to see if they had it- my point being now I have to make another appointment, drive farther, and this should have been figured out in the month I gave them before my appointment- all in all this was terrible experience, the first bridal shop I went to and it was horrible. So disappointed in the lack of professionalism of this place and their blatant disregard for good customer service. read more

I was highly dissatisfied with my experience at David's Bridal this past week. Originally, I had made an appointment from 5-6pm to try on dresses with 3 of my bridesmaids. We arrived to the store at 4:30pm and were told we could start looking around and trying things on even though we were early. The girls each picked out a few long dress styles and we proceeded to try the dresses on. One employee came over within the hour to ask how things were going. After trying on 3 dresses each, we decided we wanted to try a few short dresses. I went over to the dress rack and was approached by an employee who told me that the girls weren't allowed to try on any more dresses and that we would have to make another appointment. I explained that my appointment was until 6pm, so I didn't quite understand as it was only 5pm. She replied that since I had been there since "3:30" I had been there for too long, I corrected her as that was far from the truth. Regardless, she stated we would have to come back another time. Not only was I frustrated as we were the only ones in the store, I felt unwelcome. The topping on the cake, the following day I received an email from David's bridal that said, "we are sorry we missed you at your appointment". I won't be back. read more

I had an AMAZING experience here! I think everyone has a different experience, but mine felt really special. The associate I worked with, Brittany, was amazing. She was so friendly, had my favorites already picked out and into the dressing room within ten minutes. She was complimenting me left and right with the dresses I was trying on, and I felt like a princess. Even other members of the staff came over to chat with me about my wedding, my dress choices, and were very, very sweet. I never felt pressured. They were very accommodating and patient, and I can't wait to bring my bridesmaids here! read more

I'm giving high stars b/c Stephanie was SO patient with us and the manager was also really nice in honoring my mom's coupon when they didn't have to. Otherwise, word to the wise, just don't go in as naive as I did if you have a short timeline! I went in knowing the dress I wanted from online (bridesmaid) so thought it would be quick, but it turned out that none of the dresses my sis (the bride) picked out last week would have been able to get here before her wedding, so I ended up going w a dif dress. not DB's fault that her wedding's in May! only reason for the docked star was that my sis had gotten the impression from her visit to DB that we'd have no trouble getting dresses in time so there might have been a misunderstanding/ miscommunication. As long as you can wait at least 12 weeks to get your bridesmaid dress, you'll be fine at DB! read more

I went against my better judgement to get my dress altered here. I wanted a corset back put into the dress. They cut the dress all the way down to my bum, meaning I am literally sitting on the corset and ribbon backing. It looks awful! It is now 10 days before my wedding and I have to pay someone else to fix a mistake that i already paid for because they would not give me my money back even though they ruined my dress. Pay the extra money to go to a local shop, a smaller boutique. Do whatever you can to stay away from this place! read more

I Live in RI and my family is from mass I've been planning a wedding here in RI but most of my bridesmaids are from western mass this David's bridal is the crappiest David's bridal i have ever dealt with there very rude they don't call u when things come in i ordered shoes in April and they didn't come in until June 15th total BS and when they finally came in nobody notified me or my maid of honor which they have all this information !!!! to anyone thinking about going to west Springfield David's bridal please find the next nearest location this David's bridal is nothing but a head ache! and we all know as brides less stress for the big day is a plus this place will make you worry i will never go there again!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I went there for bridesmaid dress and first I went to pick it up wrong size and wrong color I had a ruff time with sales associate s arguing with me that was my side it was clearly 4x my size dress just slid off me so they order me new one I try it on and no one ever came 30 min later I took dress off I get home my husband said iwant to see how it looks so I try it on and he notice there was a hole in back of dress were I obviously cant see and the seam was all wrong the dress looks like its been around the rack the staff there is rude and disrespectful not professional at all stay away from the david's bridal in west springfiled mass read more

I am so disappointed that I chose David's Bridal for my wedding! My wedding party has had NOTHING but problems! Wrong Dress sizes given, Wrong color dresses given, LIES about why the dress was the wrong color-saying I signed off on the color change, Finger prints on dyed shoes, having the bridal party drive back and fourth to pick up items that were not even there yet!, promising dresses to be shipped to one of their homes and that didn't happen either. The women who work at this store show no sympathy to their mistakes and no sense of urgency....As I have one bridesmaid still waiting on the correct dress and my wedding is in 10 DAYS! I could keep going. I have never dealt with a business this horrible EVER. I hope future brides read this so no one makes the same mistake I made by choosing David's Bridal!!!! read more

Let me just start by saying I am mortified by the service I have been given multiple times at David's bridal... I have worked in the customer service industry for over 10 years now and I have never dealt with a company with so many issues before. To begin I went to try on my wedding dress there with my bridesmaids and my family and our consultant was not only very impatient and a rude but she was absent for the majority of the time because she was working with two other brides as well... I was there for about two hours and only tried on three dresses because half the time I couldn't find my consultant who would randomly disappear. After that I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt I understand that they may have been busy and who knows they could've been shortstaffed no problem like I said I work in the customer service industry and I know all about being short staffed. So I gave them a second chance I was hoping to get my bridesmaids dresses there I wanted dresses that were sold by David's bridal but we're not carried in the West Springfield store so I contacted them and asked what they could do for me and if there was any way for my girls to try them on. I was told not a problem they can order them from a store that had them so that we could try them on and the woman would give me a call right back within the hour, three days later I had not heard back so I called them and was told they absolutely could not do that that has never been a policy so I asked what my other options were. I was then told that we could order the dresses have them shipped to the store to try them on and then return them if we didn't like them, no problem I told one of my bridesmaids so she went online, picked out the dresses and put them in her cart ready to make the purchase (5 dresses totaling almost 1,000). Thank God she decided to call the store and just confirm before she made the purchase because that is a large chunk of money when she called she was told absolutely not they never do and never have done it returns so that wouldn't be an option for us. All I can say at this point is thank god that she didn't go through with the purchase... From here I myself spoke with seven different employees there about what we should do and they all gave me different policies and we're not on the same page. I became very stressed out dealing with the company so I had one of my bridesmaids take over and handle it from there she called spoke with four different managers this time again none of them on the same page and all brought up different policies and rules, she was even told by a manager that policies differ depending on the day and who you speak with (something I have never heard of from a corporate chain). Each employee/manager seemed very impatient, short and rude over the phone so at this point we had had enough. After the last manager I had spoke with I said you know what forget about it I'd rather go somewhere else I've had too many issues thank you for your time, she hung up and the following day I got a call back from their general manager offering me yet again another option for trying on the dresses with no apology for our so far terrible experience. So I explained to her the whole issue from the beginning and all of these very negative experiences that I have had with this company, hoping that she would at least understand where was coming from and why I was upset at this point thinking that if I could work it out with her and get her to at least understand then maybe they could get in my business back, she however, didn't seem to care much and responded by saying well I can't change what's happened in the past but like I said this is how I can get your bridesmaids to try the dresses on. I ended the conversation with I don't expect you to change what's happened in the past however I would expect a big company like yours to have all of their employees on the same page and have a little bit of respect for their customers. At this point, because of the terrible service I've gotten from all of your employees and now understanding how little you, the general manager, cares about anything that's going on in the store I have decided to take my business elsewhere because God for bid I order dresses from you and have to deal with this bullshit any more when it comes to getting my dresses and having alterations done. This is a terrible store and the company has awful customer service. My sister went in during the so called "$99" sale. She picked out a dress on the special rack, and there were several sizes of this dress on this rack so why wouldn't she think it was a sale dress? She then tried it on and fell in love with it only for them to tell her it was really $799.00!!! She was devastated!! We went over and showed the associate that there were several of that dress and her answer was that there are new associates that must have put it back wrong. So why is that my sister's fault?? I told them they need to stand behind their prices and they told me they can take $50 off. That was not acceptable. I then called customer service and waited for a supervisor to call me back and Brandon told me all they could do is 20% off. This is an issue for me because she would not have even have tried this dress on if it had been in the correct section. I understand that customers can move stuff but in this business associates move the dresses for you so it is their mistake! The supervisor basically told me they care more about the money than customers! My sister found the dress online for $305 so my advice to you is SAVE YOUR MONEY! Shop on line and not in this terrible store that jacks the prices and only care about money and not people! read more

I went to Davids with my four bridesmaids to pick out dresses for them. We scheduled the appointment about 3-4 weeks in advance and I made sure to note that 4 of my bridesmaids were coming. I took the open appointment they had on Sunday morning. We were very excited to get started except first, I was told by the lady who was supposed to help us that she has another appointment scheduled for the same time with a bride so she will need to split her time between her and us. Then she told us the number of dressing ROOM we had... yes 1 room for 4 bridesmaids, luckily my girls aren't shy but if you've ever been in the store you know that you can't fit more than 2 girls in there at once to try on dresses. I had to look for our assistant about 4 times, she did come check on us a couple times but her help was limited. I totally understand that the Bridal appointment is more important, but if I was that bride I would have been extremely upset that they scheduled over the bridal appointment. Back to the room situation, I had asked the lady 3 times if there is any way we could get a second room, each time she told me, no at this time we do t have any others... yes except the fact that three of the rooms with sticky notes on them did not have anyone there for the entire hour we were there. Oh wait there is more... after we went over our appointment by 10 minutes we were told to wrap it up and place our orders... maybe if the girls could have actually all tried dresses on at the same time we would not have rand out of time... and we'll you can forget about any commission on these dresses. IF and that's a big if... we order from Davids it will be strictly online to not have to deal with this again. Solution- don't double book, think of the amounts of people vs the rooms, be smart with your customers, although the girl was very nice she was with us for maybe 5 minutes total. read more

Thus far I have had a great experience with David's Bridal. I scheduled an appointment to try on wedding gowns and Emily Russo was spectacular to work with. I am an unconventional bride and went in with the idea of wearing a short purple or yellow bridesmaid dress - definitely not a white wedding gown. Despite not being an easy request, Emily happily obliged and worked her tail off to Make my vision a reality. No pressure to try on a white gown. For ha-ha's, I put on a white dress and fell in love. I left the store with many new ideas and feeling great. Emily was exactly who I needed to work with. Two weeks later, I called the store and asked if I could stop in and try on the dresses for my mother, who did not accompany me on my first trip. The store was able to squeeze me in that day and Emily spent time between me and another bride, likely not an easy task or particularly ideal. She found me a new dress to try on which ultimately became 'the one.' My mother and I left, once again feeling good. Two days ago, I called the store on a whim asking if I could try on the last dress one final time. Once more, the store squeezed me in when they definitely could have asked me to come in a different day due to being totally booked. Emily was off for the day so Jessica worked with me. She was fabulous, as well, and offered some very good insight in to the alterations I was envisioning. I purchased the dress and could not be happier. Everything from start to finish was a positive experience. Highly recommended, particularly for those who may not be sure what they are looking for in a dress or have something very specific (even if unconventional like me). THE WORST customer service. I went in to buy a preselected bridesmaid dress, so I had 0 choice about where to go. I tried on the dress in my size, it was MAYBE the tiniest bit tight so they talked me into getting the next size up and having it taken in by STRAIGHT UP LYING about the cost of the alterations. The girl helping me said it would cost $20 to take it in and $20 to lower the hem line. This seemed suspiciously inexpensive but, like a fool, I assumed the employee of the shop would know the prices, so I said OK. When I went back in to get the dress alterations, the actual cost was close to $100. When I told the girl at the service desk that I only went one size up because the price of alterations was misquoted to me, she gave me the glazed dairy cow stare and literally said nothing. There was not even a discussion about honoring the price I was quoted. Then she said, "well do you want the smaller size?". I said yes and then had to go back a third time to pick up the dress in the right size and brought it to someone else to have the hem line taken down. (also, they will conveniently forget to tell you that there really is not enough extra fabric on any of the dresses to get more than 1/2 inch of extra length at the hem. Overall, I would say these people are not only rude and incompetent, but actually predatory in the way they lie to you to convince you to spend more money. read more

I am a second time 55 year old bride. I went to David's Bridal because of the $99 sale, not wanting to spend a fortune on a dress that will never be worn again. I made an appointment and they had my favorites printed out from the web site. Our consultant was with another customer, and there were two women manning the front end. We were directed to the sale dresses and given a quick tour of the dresses, and told pick out a few that interested me. One of the front end girls did check on us a few times. Even though this is my second wedding it is the first experience with a actual bridal gown. When Nicole did get to help us, after apologizing for the delay, she was very helpful. She helped me with under garments, and different style gowns, to help me decide exactly what dress I was looking for. We discussed price and she came back with the perfect dress, WOW! she hit the nail on the head. My friend found a jacket to hide the flaws and Nicole came back with the veil. Perfect, DONE!. Ring the bell of success. I can see they do need more help, this was in the middle of the week, out of season but if it was the busy season I don't know if I would of gotten the service.
