"Rough-looking" is a massive understatement for the condition of my boots, so I went to Ealdwine for some shoe polish, and saw that the product had changed quite a bit over the past few years. I had a few questions about leather conditioner, how much polish to use, etc. (stuff like that), and Mr. Gray took the time to show me everything, on my boots at that. The difference is tremendous, and I'm not JUST talking about how my boots look now. For a business owner to take time out of his day, literally get his hands dirty, and go to such lengths for a customer who might come to Raleigh every five years or so... It speaks volumes about Mr. Gray as a person and business owner. I'm now more informed, equipped with some really good polish, and won't feel so embarrassed about wearing beat-up boots with a suit. Another cool thing, assuming most will be looking/shopping for more than shoe polish, the store's beautifully designed, and chockablock with some of the finest in men's clothing and beautiful footwear. A staff person approached after about 5 minutes and I asked how the boot display was organized and gave her a couple of boots I wanted to try on and gave her my size range. She returned with the same boots and said I should try them on to see how they work before she pulled the matching boot from the back. I requested the second boot and she really wanted me to try just one, rather than arguing about getting both boots, we left without spending money at this store. Weekend staff is not engaged, may be different during the week but I would get my hopes up for good service.

I notified the seller that I wanted to return the shoes and then they gave my instructions on how to return the shoes to them and that they would credit my Amazon account. . I returned the shoes to them about a week later. Several days passed before I received and email from the seller stating that they do not offer a refund for pre-owned shoes. Get that. I returned the same pair of shoes that they had sent me that were brand new. Now they were insisting that I had returned a pair of worn out and battered shoes to them. I attempted to relay to them and insisted that I had returned the shoes to them sparkling new. Then they sent pictures to me of the busted shoes that I had sent to them. I made a complaint to Amazon and they did a so-called investigation and decided that there really wasn't any reason for me to complain because I did get what I ordered. So what was the big deal. I would like to know what prompted this company to commit such a hoax.
