They know what they're doing here and repaired my belt quickly and perfectly. Glad I found them and will come back.

My fiancé went into this store to look around for the 1st time. It was a cold day so I stayed in…read morethe car. When he returned he said, "It's REALLY good you didn't come with me into the store!" I asked what happened. He told me an unleashed aggressive dog was standing directly inside the entrance and loudly snarled and growled at him as he tried to enter the store. The female owner of the dog&store told him the dog was a "rescue" and that it didn't take a liking to men. I have documented allergies to dogs and also fear them for their unpredictable nature as what happened when he casually walked into the store. It's a shame because he probably would have bought me something warm to wear if the dog had not been there growling at him. Also, I only buy second hand from smoke&pet free homes/stores. *Message to management: I've never owned a clothing store, but I've worked at one. It's very important for customers to feel safe and welcomed when trying on clothes and window shopping. In what world is it considered civilized to have an unleashed, untrained and aggressive dog positioned at the head of the store? You are actively discriminating against men shopping at your store by bringing this dog to work. Men like to surprise their girlfriend or wife or mother with something nice to wear from time to time. If you don't have liability insurance for potential dog bites when a man enters your store it might be time to get some. Or, better yet, just install a modern security system and leave your aggressive dog at home or bring it to a shelter. You will be doing the city of Raleigh and it's citizens a favor.

I came to Raleigh from Oklahoma for a conference and inadvertently left my dress shoes at home,…read moremaking boots my only option to wear with a suit. "Rough-looking" is a massive understatement for the condition of my boots, so I went to Ealdwine for some shoe polish, and saw that the product had changed quite a bit over the past few years. I had a few questions about leather conditioner, how much polish to use, etc. (stuff like that), and Mr. Gray took the time to show me everything, on my boots at that. The difference is tremendous, and I'm not JUST talking about how my boots look now. For a business owner to take time out of his day, literally get his hands dirty, and go to such lengths for a customer who might come to Raleigh every five years or so... It speaks volumes about Mr. Gray as a person and business owner. I'm now more informed, equipped with some really good polish, and won't feel so embarrassed about wearing beat-up boots with a suit. Another cool thing, assuming most will be looking/shopping for more than shoe polish, the store's beautifully designed, and chockablock with some of the finest in men's clothing and beautiful footwear. Mr. Gray personally helped with the design in many of the latter (Alden's handmade in Massachusetts), so I definitely feel like I was in good hands, and had definitely come to the right place. Great owner. Top notch products. Perfect service. Great experience.

The quality of repair is better than I have experienced at any other shop in town. Willing and capable of fixing any and everything from the cheap pair of shoes that you love and wearout often, to the really expensive, intricate pair that you might be nervous to trust someone with repairing. Incredible leather knowledge and workmanship. Many of my girlfriends will only take their designer bags here for cleaning and repair. It's our go-to for resoling my fiancée's dress shoes as well. Highly recommend this place!

I showed him what had to be done and asked if it was possible for them to do it. I repeated it has to be cut out and Velcro added to other section. He said he could. Pay up front $42. Since just adding Velcro should only cost $10-20 I assumed he understood the technicality. I wanted them for a trip. I picked them up and when I tried them the next day I realized he hadn't listened to a word I said and just added Velcro to the overstretched strap. In fact they were even worse and totally unwearable. I was so disgusted I kept forgetting about it. There are signs in every inch of the shop that say absolutely no refunds. So why bother going into speak to him. I'm always struggling for money and don't want the aggravation of their arrogance. So maybe if it's leather? Anything else complicated you will be screwed
