Pretty neat experience, inside and out. If you are in need of a fireplace, or fire pit, or pellet fueled heater, you would do well to check out David's. But the real reason we were here, was to eat. In the back of David's is a full service restaurant called Manny's Cafe. Many fireplaces, both wood burning and gas are on display. As are all manor of fireplace supplies, screens, grates, tools, etc. Outside are many round fire pits, from very basic to very fancy (and expensive). There also seemed to be a large parts department, so if you are need of a fix, David's might be able to help. And there seemed to be a rather eclectic collection of other things for sale, that more or less fall in the home decor category. If your driving on 20, near Hudson Oaks, it might worth a stop to check the place out, and maybe have breakfast or lunch (or early dinner on Friday or Saturday). We've driven past this place for years but have never been in. Went specifically for an outdoor fireplace/chiminea. They have the concrete type ones that eventually crack from the heat but we were wanting a metal unit. We walked all over and saw many amazing items but not what we were looking for. Good to know what they do have tho for a future visit. Their prices were actually really good for their items as well. Now throw in fireplaces, BBQ pits, smokers, Grills, windmills, decorative metal work and a antique store you have never seen the likes of. It is a must see if you have the time. Now throw in the kicker. Inside is one of the best sandwich shops you will ever find. It is Called "The Shed" and the food is fantastic. Several kinds of made fresh daily bread. We had done business with David's Stove Shop for years. We bought a pellet fireplace and they installed it and we did have it serviced one time. Their customer service used to be top notch. We have had major issues with a set of propane logs and burner kit we bought from them. We have more times than I care to count. We have been promised a number of times they would call back that evening or the next morning. A number of people have stated they are too busy now and their customer service is nonexistent if you have a problem. We had to call another fireplace business to finally get our problem resolved. We have recommended them to several people and have been loyal customers for over 24 years. It's too bad it ended this way. We are highly disappointed. read more

it is a cool place and will sell you anything, the problem is they dont have time to repair or support your purchased products, it is november 2022 and my harmon is on the brink, i called for repair and the lady told me they are only installing atm and they are pushed out till February, she offered a call back that i am waiting 2 weeks for at the time of this writing. other stove shops only service stoves they sold, so i am having leonards stove shop install another so i can have some support. i am in the process of filling complaints with bbb and harmon, have a wonderful day. read more

They have stuff that hillbillies need. Stoves, tools, spices, rubs, furniture...too much to look at. I only see reviews for the restaurant, and cannot comment on that, but the service I received (I can hardly persuade my fingers to type that word in conjunction with this place) in the stove shop is by far the worst I have ever seen in a privately owned establishment. We were treated very poorly by the manager (point and grunt) and the saleslady was downright hostile. She actually told us that installment of the stove we wanted in our home would be impossible because we hadn't enough clearance, when the manufacturer's instructions and city code clearly stated that we had more than enough. So, I took my money to a big box store, but when it came time to buy components, I decided to give them another chance because I really would rather buy from small business. So I called them, to ask the price on double wall pipe. I was told that without knowing exactly what was needed they could not give me a price, when i had just told them exactly what I needed. I suspect it was the same woman who had "helped" us before was on the line and just didn't want to be bothered....in fact, that is how the whole experience felt...as if I were just a bother. read more

I love this place! Antiques, decor, fireplaces(!) and those wide, flat metal outdoor bbq things. My friend found an old barber chair she wanted for her business and I found two gifts. You'd never know it was there. But as a part of this eclectic stove and whatnot store is a great sandwich and soup and pie luncheon restaurant. Try the Rueben, BLT, turkey avocado, etc. Breads are hearty, meat portions are large, veggies are fresh and crisp. Go around 11 or so. We hear the line gets long later. With good reason. read more

RIPPED OFF! I took a riding mower in for a tuneup and starter problem. They put a "hard start" kit on the mower, replaced the blades rather than sharpen them ($91.35 + tax) and a tuneup that included an air filter for $99.44 + tax! A $100.00 air filter? Really?? The exact same air filter cost $38.82 at the same shop in October 2010. Inflation? I think NOT! I pushed back and talked to the parts manager to no avail. That same filter is $35 at other shops. This isn't the first RIP-OFF I've heard of from this shop, but a first for me. I strongly recommend you have your lawn equipment repaired elsewhere lest you be RIPPED-OFF! Oh, the total tab was $586....and they never even called for approval. Any reputable establishment would do so. Never again. read more
