No one likes getting their emissions tested, but I've never had an unreasonably long wait here. They always do a good job.

The employees in this locations are not the most friendly but they are straight to the point an efficient and that's what is the most important to me. If u are looking to chat and find out how is granny u better find a coffee shop lol

Last time I went there, I had to loop around for parking, I engaged in no pleasant conversation and I waited a half hour. As soon as I hit 'send' on that review I regretted it and experience has borne that feeling out to be the correct one. So why am I engaging in the same sort of self-sabotage? I dunno. I must be a glutton for punishment. I don't quite believe that everyone has to undergo a smog check before getting to renew their license/vehicle registration. With the amount of loud revving, black-smoke-kicking-up Mad Max vehicles I see in Middle Tennessee, either I am the only one falling for this scam or there are a lot of people driving illegally -- because there's no way those cars passed inspection. So, back to Dickerson. This smog station is a welcome respite from the long lines and bad attitudes of other ones. If you live out east, you should be coming here. Actually, if you live in Davidson County, you should be coming here. It's worth the drive. Even though the wait has increased (slightly) in the four years I've been coming here, it's not as bad as other locations. And the wait comes from the amount of cars, not from the techs -- all of who have been kind, efficient and speedy. Come with cash, your papers and a (relatively) clean car and you should be in and out in under ten minutes. As long as vehicle emissions are a thing (and considering it's 90 degrees in October, it should be a thing), you should try and make the process as efficient and painless as possible. That's this location. It is. At least, it is now. Please don't mess up a good thing. I don't want to have to have a 'talk' with you about this a year from now...

Cannot say enough wonderful things of this place. My car started making an absolutely awful rattle…read morenoise when foot on the accelerator and while my dad though it might be a heat shield just loose, I couldn't stand the noise so was trying to take it in somewhere, anywhere, to get it looked at. No one had any appointments, including Christian Brothers, for over a week. Even so, I stopped in right at 7am when they opened one day on a prayer and asked if anyone could take a short 3 minute drive with me to just listen to the noise and let me know their thoughts on it... even if they couldn't fit me in to actually look under the hood yet. Chris came on a little drive with me that morning, and was so kind and informative! I mentioned my dad's thoughts on the heat shield and he said definitely not. He said it actually sounded like the timing chain scraping, which can happen if low on oil. When we pulled back in for me to drop him off, he checked my oil level and low and behold... almost empty (even though my oil light never turned on and I wasn't due for an oil change for another month). I learned all Kia's tend to burn oil; FYI to my fellow Kia owners. He gave me 2 quarts of oil and my car is great now! Noise gone and learned something to look out for. Thank you so much to everyone at this location, and an extra shout out to Chris for being so great! I will definitely be back should I ever have car issues in the future.

DO NOT bring your business here unless you like to be overcharged and misled. My experience with…read moreChristian Brothers Automotive was dishonest, distasteful, and just weird. I was traveling through the state for work when my brakes suddenly needed replacement. I brought my car to CB's and received a quote for $2600+, which included the brakes, labor, as well as calipers and some other brake related fixes. The mechanic explained that these extra fixes were necessary to get me back to my destination. After hearing this staunch number, and ruling out my options, I returned to Christian Brothers to retrieve my car and get a second opinion. When my car was pulled out front, I saw the mechanic jerk the brakes when he was reversing, and when he got out had the gall to say "Drive fast, no regrets" and walk off. In my opinion, distasteful and rude to have that kind of childish demeanor when I simply want to get a second opinion. The best part is when I took it to the second mechanic. He said my calipers were completely fine, just normal wear and tear, and that replacing them wasn't necessary. He quoted me at a quarter of the cost, and I was able to get back on the road in an hour, and have experienced great braking/driving the last several weeks since then. My experience with Christian Brothers can be summed up in four words: dishonest, distasteful, never again.

They are very friendly and highly professional However, I'm giving this place 3 stars because I have been a victim of their parts department. I had to go back 3 times for an installation because: 1. The first time - not enough parts were ordered 2. The wrong part was ordered 3. FINALLY Also, the parts department failed to notify me each time when the parts would come in, as I was promised they would. I had to call myself to find out - very annoying. So yes - get your car from there, but if it involves parts, expect to be in a whirlwind.

After waiting a week, I visited the dealership because I couldn't get someone to call me back. A service manager named Roger exchanged numbers with me and had me text him a picture of the wheel lock. He texted me back later when I asked why they didn't cover a new wheel lock set. He said that normally, when a preowned vehicle comes in without the key, they have to cut the locks off. This tells me that they never actually did an inspection on the brakes for this vehicle. That's something they claim. It was also mentioned by my salesman, John. The dealership lied about the inspection they did on the vehicle. If they had, then they would've cut the wheel locks off before. They didn't check the brakes or tires at all. Discount Tire pointed out that the tires are from 2023, and this vehicle is a 2024 model. They said they can't rotate the tires because they're unsafe. Now I need to have the brakes checked as well because I no longer have confidence that the inspection the dealership claimed to perform was actually completed.
