I came in with a pretty messed up screen (I dropped it earlier today and there was nothing but lines showing up on my screen). I did a quick search for phone repair shops on my laptop and found this place. Last March I needed a batter replacement on my Pixel phone. Based on reviews here I contact this shop. They said they could do it in an hour so off I went. When I got there I was told to come back in one hour. 90 minutes later I returned and was told they broke my screen, which was in perfect condition, during the process. They said it was expensive and had to order a new one at no charge to me (gee, ya think??). The owner said it would be ready by 2 the next day. The next day, I came back after 2 and asked for my phone. They clerk there told me that they hadn't started it yet as UPS hadn't yet delivered the new screen. I told him the owner promised it by 2. He said that they never make promises like that. I told him the owner very much did make that promise and I should have been called if it was going to be late to save me the trip down. He couldn't have cared less. I returned at a later time and finally got my phone. It was clear the new screen was not new as It had a couple of scratches underneath the glass, likely taken from another defunct Pixel. I held off on this review in case I needed any follow up warranty work, which was 6 months. Well, 9 months later the replacement battery started swelling and it pushed the screen up off the phone body. Thankfully it didn't catch fire or explode. So, I took it back and was told that the warranty was up and I would have to pay for the replacement battery yet again. Not sure if this one will prove to be faulty again but I am done with this shop. read more

I got my iPhone XR with a cracked screen repaired here today. I wish I had done a genuine apple repair instead. Pros: -fast turnaround. I was in a hurry and they were able to do the repair in about 30 minutes. -price. $145 including tax. An Apple certified repair would've cost me $199 + tax (no warranty). Saved about $80, but the cons that come with it (below) aren't worth it. -no obvious visual flaws in the replacement screen. Looks genuine. -screen resolution looks the same. Cons: -touch screen slightly unresponsive. I'm a fast mobile typer and I immediately noticed that this aftermarket screen doesn't register about 1 in every 15 letters I type. Also sometimes a swipe up to the home screen doesn't register the first time. Very very annoying. -face ID fails about 10% of the time when it should work, and is noticeably slower. -EDIT: Face ID does not work if I am wearing headphones on when it should. -not sure about this but brightness seems slightly dimmer. -also not sure but screen refresh rate may be sightly slower, or less smooth than before. Might just be the placebo effect. read more

This is my second time coming here and I came again because of how reliable, cheap, and quick the service is. Last time I went for a new screen for my iPhone 8+ and the owner repaired it quickly. This time I brought my iPhone 11 pro max with water damage in the speakers, microphone, and cameras. He fixed it very quick and even put a sealant inside the phone so it can be water resistant again. Completely disappointed with this place. I've been going here for years to get my phone screen replaced, and never had any issues until 11/23/21. Rewind to two months ago, I took my phone to another phone repair place, because it was turning off and on. The owner told me that their were a lot of screws missing out of the phone, and the person who fixed my phone prior didn't put them back into my phone. I was a little surprised, because I took my phone to Davis Phone Repair to always get fixed. I called and spoke to the owner Caesar about what I was told, he offered me 50% any service that I needed. I called a month ago, and spoke to another associate that works there and told him about him about my laptop that needed a screen replacement. He told me that I would receive my 50% off that I was promised, and the part for my laptop would be ordered. I call on 11/23/21, and was told that they didn't order the part, and I needed to talk to Caesar. I talk to him and then he flat out lies to me about telling me he'd give me 50% off, and that I would have to pay $350 instead of the $170 I was promised. I decided to go to RC Phone Repair for my laptop screen replacement, where they gave me a waaaaay better deal and took care of me. Go here if you enjoy being lied to, and want to deal with shady people who can't put your phone together properly. read more

I am really sorry to report my experience here. Bottom line, if you have an iPhone, take it to the Apple Store for a screen replacement. I dropped my iPhone 11 Pro without a protective case on a tile floor in early spring and the screen cracked but it worked fine. In a few weeks, I took it to the local guy, this store, for a replacement screen. $165. It seemed to work ok but I soon realized that the screen would be too sensitive sometimes (multiple letters instead of one, or while talking on a call, the phone would text one of my contacts or try to make a another call, or would go to super high magnification while I was talking) or sometimes it would not respond to touch and would go dark and could not wake from touching the screen. I brought it back and he replaced the screen and put a screen protector on, no charge. However, similar problems appeared: it was too sensitive to touch, such as entering multiple a's with one strike, and setting up a conference FaceTime call with a group of 3 people while I was talking to someone else. A green line appeared along the right side of the screen after the repair, I wondered was that some distortion from the screen saver? So I finally took it back for one last shot and he says the warranty is void, due to the green line indicating it was dropped. I did not drop the phone, no one else uses the phone and the phone has had the case on it since the screen was cracked in early spring. I did not call him right away regarding the green line, it just seemed like an irritation. He offered a third off brand screen for $135. No thank you on the off brand screen, 2 out of 2 were not acceptable. So I called the Apple Store, a new screen is $275, if they can repair it, in my case they are very suspicious of non Apple repairs. This would not correct the green line. If you have a cracked screen on an iPhone 11 Pro, just go to Apple. It's not like a car where you have a choice to go to the dealer or a local guy and have a fully functional repair. read more

i went in 3 days ago to get my screen fixed and two days later, the screen started malfunctioning until even it was unusable. i didn't drop it, or put any kind of pressure on the screen to make it break or anything. so I went in to ask them to fix it and they claimed there was internal damage from a tiny scrape on the screen. I proceeded to show them my temporary i phone 8 that has cracks all over it and still works fine and told them it is bs how one little tiny scrape without dropping it or anything and the phone they repaired just stops working. they use low quality screens and tools and charge you way too much. i paid $188 for a iPhone 12 screen and it broke two days later.and I couldn't get it fixed under warranty. ridiculous. complete scam. read more

Absolutely the worst experience ever. I had my phone screen fixed at this place for an outrageous amount of money. Mind you, my phone isn't even the newest. The phone after a week began to randomly crash at times and the screen would do its own thing and sometimes even lock me out. Super upset I went back and they replaced it but failed to replace my own purchased screen protector to which they claimed they would notify me to come back upon arrival. Of course never did I once receive a call. Well a phone screen is going to crack if you don't have a screen protector on it and that in fact happened. I went back to tell them to give me another screen or my money and they refused. Told me to pay almost $200. AGAIN. they have lost their mind. All within a month span.
