This is an amazing clinic and doctor. I have had glasses for over 35 years and have been to many…read moreeye doctors during that time and have never come across a better doctor and clinic before. I have an eye disease that they have been tracking and helping me for 10 years now and every visit has been perfect. Every visit has been highly professional packed with top notch customer service. While their location is a little more difficult to access than other clinics, parking limitations, it's worth the extra time needed to get in. Once in though there is very little waiting time as they make sure to schedule visits to ensure the whole team gives me the best care and service. They make you feel like your very important and know me by name. At one point my eye glasses came back to them not correct from the manufacture and before they gave them to me they sent them back to be fixed. Because it took twice as long to get my new glasses they insisted on purchasing me a second pair of glasses at no charge to me. They also gave me a nice bedside glasses case to safely store multiple glasses. During the pandemic I did have trouble getting in and had to buy my new glasses from another doctor and whole year of suffering through them enforced the fact I should have insisted of going to Mertins. I was inspired to write this post because one review here on Yelp claimed they didn't try and fix the issue they had and they were "rushed" through their appointment. My response to that is this does not track to any previous experience of mine whatsoever and I can only conclude that there is information this reviewer is not disclosing for their own self-interests or just did try and let the office know the problems they had like I did with the "other" clinic who sold me bad glasses. Truth is, they would have also tried to to fix them had I taken the time to go back and asked for help in a respectful manner. If someone like me, an average guy who walked off the street to get an eye exam, can book an appointment and get the care they have given me anyone could. It's not like I'm the "friends and family" or "all-star" customer. In addition, being "rushed" through an exam seems to be a matter of perspective as how much time does it actually take to do an exam? I'm not sure what else they wanted other than sitting around waiting for the doctor. My guess is this customer, had they spent more time, would have complained about how long they took. Also, as I have figured out over the years, taking an eye exam requires the patient to carefully work through the exam and ensure you give your best responses to the doctor. Coming out with the wrong prescription falls in the lap of the customer as they are the one who tells the doctor if what they came up with actually corrected their vision. My advice, when going through an exam, is to slow yourself down and make sure you communicate to the doctor your best responses and ensure that your responses are accurate. After all the doctor can't see what you see. Only you can! Seriously, I believe that some people here on Yelp are actually the worst customers and feel empowered to write a review that draws the most attention to themselves and have unrealistic expectations that exceeds the limitations of the business. I hate to use the term, but Yelp really does draw in the "Karens" of this world as it allows them to voice their entitlement without any care to the hard working people that serve them. If you are trying to decide on a doctor do not give any credence to the post I refer to and give the good doctor a shot. Pro-tip to the reviewer. You are not the King of England and even if you are try treating people with kindness and respect. Being a customer doesn't entitle you to be treated as royalty. The customer can be wrong, remember the Golden rule, and offer grace over mercy like you expect for yourself. In the end you will always "draw more flies with honey". Post note... If there are spelling or grammatical errors on this list it's because I went to bed with my with my glasses on last night and broke them. I now have to use the old glasses the other clinic sold me and I can't see my phone correctly. I fully expect Mertins will have their glasses fixed for me with zero issues!

While it's never fun to have a procedure done Vold did a great job for my wife…read more.. She just had a PRK procedure done today Jon and Christine were awesome and helped put her mind at easy. She initially thought she would have the "SMILE" procedure, however because of some eye issues she was not a candidate for that and had to choose PRK and was understandably very nervous about this and the recovery time. Staff was awesome, building was clean, observing social distancing and mask because of COVID. Now we move to the recovery phase but so far the first two phases have been great and highly recommended!

If you want to get your vision fixed here, don't. My father got an eye surgery here at Vold Vision…read more2 years ago to "wear no glasses for the rest of your life and have amazing vision", instead that was a backfire. One of the doctors said that it will take only a month to heal after surgery, and have clear vision. 2 years later and it's horrible. My father sees worse than before. His eyes became more sensitive to light, and blurry for long distance, which is bad for driving at night since all of the headlights reflect off his eyes and block his vision, while he can't see really far. Well there was one thing that worked, he can't use glasses at all. The surgery team really fucked up, because they really did mean it when they said "you wouldn't need glasses" because none of the fucking glasses will improve his vision so HE HAS TO STICK WITH SENSITIVE NEAR SIGHTEDNESS FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE. This is also a money grab because from each patient, it's estimated that they charge about 10k for each patient, and they probably make a million each day from just doing this. And since these little surgeries don't work, they make you schedule up for another surgery. Oh, and guess what? The follow up surgery probably wouldn't fucking work and they would steal your damn money for the rest of the life if you keep following up by promising that the next surgery would work. Plus, the surgery only takes 5 minutes, isn't that suspicious? Not even at least 10 minutes? Also yes, you can't sue because they make you sign a contract, but it really isn't the patients fault because THE SURGERY TEAMS ARE THE ONES PERFORMING THE SURGERY AND MESSING UP EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE FUCKING PATIENTS VISION, ALL OF THESE 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE PROBABLY ALT ACCOUNTS FROM THE WORKERS. The office is very nice at a first glance, but they're probably only trying to manipulate you into believing that all of their services are nice. They really don't care probably, they're just money grabbers that scam poor patients that just want their vision fixed. They're all evil, they all only want to become rich. Also they keep moving locations so they don't get bashed on and taken down. They're in Florida right now.
