We were here for the pumpkin patch event. It's Fall again. We were trying to look for some nice pumpkin for carving. We found Davis farm could have the wagon ride and also have the farmer market. So we drove an hour to the farm. The pumpkin patch was just a small place that gathered selling pumpkins. The pumpkin field was not open to public. The market was selling local bakery and stuff. The wagon ride was about 15 mins long, and it was all the way to the sunflower field. We thought the sunflower was all dead and spooky, but actually they were dried naturally and after that the farm will collect the sunflower seeds and the flower head could be used for the sunflower oil. That's so informative. The farm was big but only open to the public a little spots. But they did decorate some good spots for people to take pictures. It's nice to visit a farm in Fall season. read more

Thanks to a lovely Yelp giveaway, I got to explore the Sunflower festival. Love the incorporation of fun photo opts and the endless field of sunflowers. There is a market that happens every weekend along with some evenings that offer activities like yoga. The weekend I went didn't have the market and it would be great to have more food vendors as you would have to drive out for more options. It's a great experience in the peak period of Sunflowers and perfect for families, groups and anyone trying it out for the first time. The admission price is affordable and perfect if you are nearby. It takes about an hour to an hour and a half to visit from downtown Toronto. A beautiful experience that was added to summer 2023. read more

This place is awesome! Probably well over a mile long of sun flowers. It's crazy. These things are huge too! I love seeing the bees doing their thing as well. I promise I left them a lone. What can I say??? Go and visit the beautiful sunflower fields during the sunflower festival. Tickets are $15 ($13 50 + tax) & kids are free. Anyone can book tickets online or pay in person (if online tickets are sold out). Amazing endless photo opportunities especially with beautiful props (Piano, Truck & Couch). Only downside is that you have a long line-up to take pics with the probs. The Sunflower festival ends August 8 - so hurry & get down there! read more

Can say I was one of the first to visit Davis Family Farm's Sunflower Fest in 2021. We woke up really early to be there for 8am on opening day. Sadly the excess rain this season delayed the blooming so...it was mostly a green field. However the Davis Family are such wonderful festival hosts and you can tell they value everyone having a quality experience. They said we were welcome back anytime (August was suggested for better blooms) and could use our July tickets for a second visit free of charge. At 8 am we pretty much had the farm to ourselves, and there are several photo op spots they set up like a piano, wood wagon, and a truck. Please stay on the designated path and don't trample into the flower field! There were lots of staff around to help direct parking, and direct you to where to go. There's a farmers market set up near the entrance so you can shop local goods during your visit as well. If driving from Toronto, it's roughly a 1 hour trip, but definitely worth it to enjoy some fresh air away from the city. read more

Acres and Acres of Sunflowers in bloom! What a view! Davis Feed and Farm Supply opens up their sunflower field annually for 2 weeks or so (weather and flowers permitting) at the end of July for public viewing. I love how organized everything is here. Parking "lot" is supervised with at least 1 or 2 attendants to guide you to where to park your vehicles. But I would suggest arrive early to avoid the crowds regardless. $5 admission fees. - Pay in cash in the front "Admission & Gifts". Your hand will be stamped - The Davis family donates one dollar of the admission cost to the Canadian Celiac Association Stay on the "trails": There are 2 trails - A short 10 minute walk to the Harry and Joan's Tree. If you just want to take some photos of you surrounded by flowers without too much hassle or you with toddlers and seniors, this would be fast and effortless. - A longer 45 minute walk around the Sunflower field. If you have more time and can walk unevenl paths. It is less crowded and feels more surreal like you really surrounded by a sea/ocean of flowers Bugs? - Bees and flies and spiders and what not. This is naturel. The bees are all busy with their flowers and they won't bother you. I enjoyed listening to the sound of the humming bees, just like music. It's Sunflower Season!!! For those who didn't know, they have a massive sunflower field that is open to the public for free to take pictures. The best time to visit is during the first 2 weeks of August (for 2017) and the bloom is absolutely breath taking. So it's time to pick up those DSLRs and high resolution phone cameras. The drive is less than an hour away from Toronto, as the farm is just north of Brampton. They also sell some locally produced items by the farm, such as sunflower oil, freshly picked corn, Ontario honey, and animal feeds. By late September when they harvest the sunflowers there will also be sunflower seeds and sunflower honey for sale, so be sure to come back later. read more

We came here for pictorial. Only blooms during the months of August. Big farm. They have ice cream shop but only accept cash. They have mini store. Entrance fee $10.00. Lots of parking. I advised to wear rubber shoes coz it's dusty. Bring water when it's hot. And most of all, bring your best camera and come with a nice outfit for photo shoot read more
