Ok so I'm here in this store. Appointment was 5:40 it is 6:27 and they had 0 customers the entire time. After checking in I was given a box to put all the glasses I touched into it. 35 minutes go by. At least 5 staff members blasting rap music talking and laughing among themselves. I finally walk up and say something. They say what time was your appointment ? I say 40 minutes ago. And then room goes silent and I finally get service. Been coming here for over 12 years. This place is getting worse every year. The lady who helped me pick out my glasses (Mary Clinton) was so attentive to making sure we found a pair that suited my face shape the best, which I really appreciated. I walked out of the place last month-I ordered glasses the first week of November and leave my Payflex card-Their system was down so they couldn't run my card. I get 2 missed calls in a month and called them back 5 times and I'm on hold 20 minutes and just hang up-I go there first week in December and they're closed due to a Covid case. I go back right before Christmas and spend an hour going through my whole order again and them telling me Payflex card was $80 short and their system was down again. So they had to call in the credit information 3 separate times. Then when it all goes through they tell me come back in a week or so because they never ordered my glasses. I was not happy to say the least and told them cancel my order. I went to the West Babylon Visionworks and gave them the same order but the idiots in Levittown took over a week to reverse the charges so it went into 2021 so I couldn't get my 2020 benefits-I got plenty of glasses and this order was almost $900 with $350 out of pocket from me so they lost out. Good way to run a business. Not using them again. Also I find it strange that my plan pays for glasses up to $150 but 90% of their glasses they have for sale are $159 or more so my benefit drops to just $50 read more

They are extremely rude and unprofessional. I got there early and waited in my car. 5 minutes bf opening customers started lineing up so I got on line. At 9:59 an employee got there and slammed the door in everyone's face. At 10:03 when they let us in one of the employees yelled out "it's not 10 o'clock". I politely replied "you're right it's 10:03". Every time I went there I was told my insurance didn't cover my contacts. Nothing in my insurance has changed, NOTHING. I now go to the office in Garden City where they are polite, professional and informed me that I DON'T have to pay for my contacts! Against my better judgement, I decided to use the vision plan offered by my benefits. I was examined, given a prescription which I filled at Costco, (have been using them for over 15 years for glasses and contacts.) I have a complicated prescription necessitating a prism in one eye. The glasses prescribed by DV caused double vision and blurred vision at night. I returned to DV for an 11:45 appointment. After waiting 35 min, and being passed over by customers who came in after me, I was taken in. The "tech" (no idea what her skills allow her to do,) did an exam with the farmhouse image. I was then called in to see the "doctor" who when I told him why I was here and had a prism, said, AND THIS IS A QUOTE, "I'm not good with prisms." Now, I'm sitting here waiting for the next "doctor" who I just overheard comment, she needs to go back to her ophthalmologist."They have sat me where I can hear all their conversations regarding their inability to know what to do with my case! I am beyond LIVID!!!! DV in Levittown is a subpar, impersonal unprofessional and disorganized factory that appears to be able to handle only the most basic prescriptions. What a waste of my time. so I have come here the last few years after going to the Massapequa location for about 5 years or so (Levittown is close to my job) Next year I will not be coming back. 3 visits for one pair of glasses AND couldnt even get them adjusted after waiting for 30 minutes there were no technicians available. I also had to wait 15 business days after I was told 7-10 business days. Unacceptable, if you make an appointment there should be no waiting for 45 minutes and then waiting again for 30 minutes to pick up glasses after you are told they are ready. read more

Horrible! I am actually on hold for the third time today. I have three kids with glasses and the price is right but the sales people are horrible. Lester -in particular -informed me wrong information regarding my insurance, has promised call backs has actually told me my glasses were not in when they were. Now I am on hold as an older woman sales person took all my information and told me she would call me once my order went through and i never received a call back. Very rude customer service. UPDATE: So after an hour plus on hold the manager Sophia did help me out. She was very nice and apologetic. If she can only get the rest of the support on board, I would give more stars. read more

I could not have been more pleased with the service I received from the time I scheduled my appointment till the time I picked up my glasses. Highly recommend! I rarely give reviews online for anything. I took my kids (12 and 7) tonight for the first time. My youngest has ADHD and his meds had worn off for the day so he was WAY hyper. Called today toMake an appointment and I was greeted by a rude young female clerk who put me on hold for a few minutes. she then tried to rush me and collect all of my information. When I asked why,( I've been there several times in the past) she told me I hadn't been there in over a year and they had a new system. She was talking a mile a minute like a coke-head. I was giving info clearly, concisely and at a quick rate. Overworked, non professional , non courteous, stressed young girl. I called back to make a complaint and the "supervisor " sounded like it was her with a different voice. I called massapequa and made an appointment with Joe. Spot on, easy, took 25 seconds! And I haven't been there in several years. I've tried RVC, mass and Lvt. Consistency among different stores seems to be a problem. Hope Masapequa is good! Update: Massapequa had a rude ,cold technician who tried to "sell" a test despite being told that I have that test twice a year with my ophthalmologist. Optometrist was quite rude! She even "accidentally " hit me in face with machine!!!!! Optician was a great guy! He needs to be employed by a better corporation!! All in all, Visionworks bills your insurance, rips you off and provides pretty awful service. Get scripted and use a cheap online company. Federal law says that you must be provided your eye script. I was given mine quickly. Don't give the luxottica corporate monopoly their 1000% markup!!!! read more

I've been coming to Davis Visionworks for years and I've always been satisfied customer!

I had a 6:15 appt., and was 15 min. late. After a short wait I was taken in to see Dr. Shafiroff. I have been extremely pleased with his professionalism over the years. I always leave there feeling like I got the perfect exam, no doubts. He is patient and not irritable when going back and forth with the lenses. Yesterday was no exception, perfect exam! Then I went out to pick frames. Along comes Mary, a woman my approximate age, to help. She took the time and interest to find me the best frames for me, considering all my fashion requirements, facial proportions, technical aspects of the frames. Again I felt as though I couldnt have done better under any circumstances. Now I am awaiting the phone call to come in to pick them up. I hope that it doesn't take forever to get my new glasses. read more

My husband and I arrived for our appointment that we made over a week ago and the clerk who was assisting us could first not find our appointment, asked if we made it last night, then told us it was for a different day. I went here because my insurance covered it and got glasses which had to be adjusted twice in one day and still don't fit correctly and also was advised to get the anti glare on my new lenses and these are the worst glasses I've ever had it's not even worth having the anti glare because they smudge so easily NOTHING will keep them clean.. I wash them and they are smudged again in 2 minutes, use lens wipes and it doesn't help I usually go through 3 or 4 of them at a time trying to clean these lenses and even the spray doesn't do anything. When this weather figures itself out I'm going in and getting rid of these.. super small selection I ended up with men's glasses after being told they couldn't put the new lenses in my current frames because it wasn't theirs... waste of money I've been so miserable with them.. got them just before I went on vacation and because of how easily they smudge and won't stay on my face (slide right down my nose 24/7) I wore my old glasses half the time.. In the past eye doctors I used to go to would work with you on finding frames for your face, advise you what to do with specialty lenses like this I got no help, no information just how much my insurance covered and then advised to get these anti glare.. not a good experience at all.. read more

Very dissatisfied with their (lack of) service. I have the Davis Insurance Plan. My wife went there for eyeglasses, she was told to get a laser procedure done first. After the laser procedure, we returned to the store but they refused to honor the Insurance, saying that we came too late and the Insurance had lapsed. The Insurance company asked for some paperwork but Visionworks does not bother to send it and does not return my calls. read more

Don't go there if you have insurance. Go to Costco without insurance and you'll do better. I asked them when I went in what my coverage was they said $150 after asking eachother as if I was the first person to ever ask that question? Then I spent an hour trying to find glasses for under $150 all I could find were CVS quality lenses that would bend easily. I finally picked something that was $159.99 and then I was told they only cover $60 on that bc it's over the limit. This information wouldve have been super helpful an hour ago. I paid $25 for my exam (fantastic lady, super thorough) and left with nothing. No signs to guide you and no selection that fits what is covered. I miss the colored signs so easy to follow and you would only have to pay the difference. There were very nice, but who ever is setting up these policies is sending customers away. Nice job making every pair of glasses just over the limit of coverage. Caught that one. read more

After pleading with the individual at the front desk to be allowed to purchase a 5-7 day supply of contact lenses for my 14 year old son because I ran out and had already placed an online order , I was told they could not help me. My entire family purchases eyeglasses and contacts at this location. When I finally asked to speak with the manager, he also told me he could not help me. Not helping a customer who has been loyal to your business for over 6 years is not good business practice! We will not be going there again! read more

I came in for a route eye exam and Dr. Dedhar discovered that my retina was becoming detached and scheduled me for eye surgery the next day. He called me that night and he called me three times the day of the surgery. I now see so much better in my eye and I will forever be grateful for his service. I went there recently, and had an overall very positive experience. I waited a bit longer than I thought necessary (some people were chatting behind the counter while I stood there waiting) but after about 10 minutes I was seen. I ended up with 2 pair of glasses. My health plan only offered 10% off, so I didn't use it. They had a special of 2 for 1 and a coupon, and even with the extra cost of one pair having "Transition" lenses it worked out much cheaper than I expected for 2 pair. (Walmart had quoted me $538 for a pair without the Transition option. These 2 pair cost me, with the deal and coupon, $690) When they came in and I tried them on, the optometrist was very knowledgable and professional about fitting and adjusting them, even adjusting my old pair that were too loose. I will use them again in the future. read more

I spent close to $400; will NEVER return to this location again; the rude optician and his laziness almost had me leaving! However, because I had my eyes already examined, i was forced to tolerate his passive-aggressive nature. For example, he became visibly upset when I refused to purchase the display frames. I was adamant to obtain brand new frames & was willing to wait for shipping if need be! After walking ever so slowly to back room and taking 1 HOUR... he reported that he was able to find brand new eyeglasses. I was told to return in 5 hours for my eyewear... I returned and waited an additional 45 min (that was OK, I understand it is a busy retail chain). I was finally greeted with another optician, she did not even say hello, put my eyeglasses in front of me and left. I did not say anything. I just left the store with my eyeglasses and venting here... sorry folks, i just don't want anyone to experience what I just did. Oh and the eyeglasses are encased in a cheap plastic case with no cloth. read more
