The second photographer at our wedding, Mel, was also so awesome! My husband said that when she was taking photos of the guys, they all felt so weird and awkward at first, but Mel quickly helped them feel good and confident and not awkward at all. I found Nessa on Instagram and her photos blew me away. I loved the way her photos made me feel,…read morealmost as if you were transported into a fairytale or a dream. When I contacted her, she was very responsive and sent me many examples of her portfolio. When we met with her, she was very professional and agreed to do a lengthy, multi-day wedding shooting. Fast forward to the wedding day, Nessa absolutely nailed the photos. She took beautiful candids but also managed to take scores of huge group photos of family and friends where everyone looked great and didn't blink somehow, and she did it in seemingly 1-2 seconds per group. She agreed to travel with the bride and groom to 2 locations during the wedding day (in between the ceremony and reception) and captured the most stunning autumn photos. Even though we didn't prepare for any couple poses, she shared fun ideas to make us seem more natural and it actually worked. She also was great at taking dance floor photos and everything in between. We received our plethora of beautiful photos through email and were so absolutely pleased. Our wedding was a weekend long party on several acres of property and Angel ran around for pretty much 48 straight hours capturing every moment. Then, within TWO WEEKS of our wedding she had 1200 (that is not a typo, 1200!) beautifully edited images to us. That is a pretty amazing turn around. It started with a lovely phone call for us to get to know each other and for Liz to get to know what our goal was for the photos. In our case the studio session was the right call. Our little one had some minor issues that left our hospital discharge date in limbo but Liz was so kind and accommodating in working with us to find the best day. It was a relief because it allowed my husband to join and worked around his crazy schedule. The studio is warm and welcoming. Liz is such an easy and gentle person and it was such a pleasure to chat with her during the session. Being a nurse and having little ones herself made me feel extra safe handing over my two week old for a couple of hours. She was really receptive to our wants for the photos. They turned out absolutely adorable! I squealed when I got the final images. We got some family shots, some cutesy shots, and some detail shots as well.
